Pastor Raised From The Dead!

This miracle occured at a crusade of evangelist Reinhard Bonnke’s Christ For All Nations Ministries. http://www.cfan.org

This is the death certificate of a man subsequently raised from the dead through the power of Jesus Christ as a result of the prayer of faith.

(For source material refer to the CFAN website and cbn.com) On November 30, 2001 Pastor Daniel Ekechukwu’s brakes failed and his car slammed into a concrete pillar. He had had an argument with his wife that had arisen as a result of a misunderstanding. He was rushed to a Nigerian hospital. His condition was very serious.

For some reason, Daniel wanted doctors to transfer him to another hospital. The doctors warned that the trip would kill himand they proved to be accurate. Daniel’s wife remembers her husband’s dying words.

“My husband called to me and told me that I should take care of the children and the ministry. He said he had built a house for me, and that I should not worry. I should take care of everybody. He said that there are some people who are called to go quick (to die early) and that he was among them,” Ekechukwu said.

Daniel died on the way to the second hospital. He was rushed to a Nigerian clinic where Dr. Josse Annebunwa was working.

“I was told he was involved in a motor accident in Onitsha, Nigeria. When I examined him, I looked at the chest and there were no respiratory movements. I listened with the stethoscope and there were no breath sounds. I searched the heart and cardiovascular system, but there were no sounds. The patient had no pulse. I looked at the eyes – the pupils were fixed and dilated. I came to the conclusion right away that the patient was dead and that he should be removed to the mortuary,” Annebunwa said.

Mortician Barlington R. Mann remembers when Daniel’s father and wife brought his body into the mortuary.

“There was no life in him, no heartbeat, and no signs of breathing,” said mortician Barlington R. Mann. “I accepted him as a corpse. After checking these things, I checked all around the body and everything was stiff. That is what gave us the conviction to start our embalming procedure. I sent him into the second room and put him on the last slab.”

For three days, Daniel’s body lay there, in the embalming room which was open-air. During that time the body was prepared for burial including embalming. While they waited for the funeral, Daniel’s wife began to argue with God.

“I began to call on the name of the Lord. I wanted to remind God of His promises,” she said. “One verse that inspired me was Hebrew 11:35: ‘Women received their dead bodies to life.’ The moment I read this verse it strengthened me to hold God firm and act.”

Three days after Daniel’s death, his wife decided to act in faith. She had heard about a meeting nearby where miracles were occuring, a Reinhard Bonnke service. She went to collect her husband’s body.

“Before I could come they had the casket ready,” she said. “The moment they put him in I ran inside the ambulance with my son and his brother, and we started coming down to this place. And I asked somebody if Bonnke had come.”

Within a short time they arrived at the Reinhard Bonnke service, and asked if they could bring Daniel’s body in for prayer.

“I felt that the anointing would be so strong there and that the anointing would resurrect my husband,” Daniel’s wife said.

“They came up to me and I told them that it would be an embarrassment to bring a corpse inside a church,” said one of the workers at the Bonnke service. “We realized that whatever we do and wherever we are God is present. If God wants to perform a miracle for the man, the place where the man is does not really matter.”

They carried Daniel’s dead body into the basement where the service was being held. They laid his body across two tables, and several pastors began praying for him.

“As we were praying,” said one of the pastors, “suddenly we saw the eyes started to move and life started coming in. I said to my friend, Pastor Luke, ‘You know, they say that he was three days in the mortuary. Let us massage him.’ So he was there, massaging the right hand. And I was massaging the left hand. We were squeezing it, making sure that life returned. We found out that as we were praying the heart started to become hot. He was breathing, and we started massaging the hands. As we massaged the hands suddenly it seemed that life came into the hands, and we put his hands on his chest. I massaged the neck and life came into it. I was able to turn it.”

The pastors around him continued to massage his body because after three days in the mortuary, rigor mortis had set in. As they were doing this, suddenly Daniel jumped to his feet to the amazement of every onlooker! The pastors were unsure what to do next.

“I said let’s take him upstairs, and we followed the stairway upstairs. At the end of the step he said, ‘water, water.’ He was asking for water. I shouted, ‘Bring water, bring water, lets get him water!’ People thronged and suddenly we saw people coming from the outside. It seemed that the news went out and people came in. People came in and they saw the dead man sitting down.”

Daniel had been raised from the dead!

His resurrection account spread quickly. Subsequently, Daniel began to share about his experiences during death. He spoke about a journey with an angel who allowed him to visit both heaven and hell.

“He told me we are going to visit paradise,” Daniel said. “So we visited a place. When we approached the place I saws multitudes of people that looked exactly like the one with me, that angel that was with me. The angel with me wore white apparel. The body was pure white. The apparel was pure white, but the apparel did not look removable from the body. When I saw this crowd they looked exactly like the one with me. In my heart I said, ‘ look at where the angels gather.’”

“After that he then said, ‘Let us go and visit the mansion that Jesus promised.’ He (the angel) now took me to a wonderful place. In fact, what I saw there, I do not have any words to describe it. It was so glorious. It was a very wonderful mansion. You could look at the building and it would look like glass or look like gold or whatever. Even the flowers there looked like gold.

“Then the angel said, ‘Now let us visit hell.’ In the twinkle of an eye, we found ourselves in the place. Immediately the gate opened. I started hearing lamentation. So I looked inside and I saw people like us here. They were putting on some clothes.

They had the same flesh; some are black and some are white. They just looked like us. They were shouting – there was a lot of pain, a lot of torment. It was to the extent that immediately when the gate was opened, it was if they were seeing me.

They were asking me for help, shouting. And I remember one. He was shouting. ‘I am a pastor, I only stole church money and I am ready to refund it immediately.’ He just said he was ready to refund it and that I should help. There was a force that was tormenting them. I never saw any fire there and I never saw any flames in hell, but the torment there looks as if the people are inside fire.

At that point the angel declared something to Daniel that caused him to experience fear. He told Daniel that he deserved to be in hell too!

“So while I was shouting and asking the angel for help, that I have another chance to go back, he mentioned this: that the request of the rich man in hell had been granted to this generation. I did not understand it.

It was later, when I woke up and read the Bible, that I realized what the request was. The rich man (in Luke 16) was requesting, that a dead man should be sent back to the world. So he just said that the request of the rich man had been granted to this generation for the last warning. He said to me that he is giving me an opportunity to go back for the last warning to this generation,” Daniel said.

Daniel continues to testify of his experiences to warn people about Hell, and show them the reality of Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.

What Color Is God? The Use Of Color In Bible Symbolism

The law of color combination of pigments states the following: There are three primary colors from which all other colors can be made.

The primary colors are red, blue and yellow.
Purple is a combination of red and blue.
Green is a combination of yellow and blue.
Orange is a combination of yellow and red.
White is a combination of all colors – red, blue and yellow.
Black is the absence of any color.

The primary colors appear to represent the core attributes or character of God.

The colors black and white, represent the status of man as we reject or accept the colors of God.

Just as He uses numbers prophetically and symbolically, God uses colors symbolically in the sanctuary, its services and in the prophecies.
By looking at the colors and combinations and their symbols a pattern emerges. By examining the roles assigned to the members of the Trinity and the use of color in the bible, one can speculate about the meanings of the secondary colors and how the combination of primary colors interact to demonstrate a truth.

The Bible teaches that it is valid to look at nature to learn about God. And it also teaches that everyone has some internal knowledge of God that is convincing and they also have “a measure of faith” (Romans 12: 3).

It is a real pity that the German Reinhard Bonnke doesn not use his powers to raise from the dead the Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals and others that his parents generation killed in the Holocaust. The Germans of Bonnke’s parents generation killed hundreds of thousands of little children. Tell him to go back to Germany and Poland and other places in Europe and raise these people up.

Is Jesus Simply a Retelling of the Horus Myth?

There are many atheists who claim that Jesus never really lived. What if I told you that there was once an ancient religion which described God as a being who:

•Performed miracles, exorcized demons, raised someone from the dead, walked on water
•Was called “Iusa”, the “ever-becoming son” and the “Holy Child”

•Was transfigured on the Mount
•Was crucified between two thieves, buried for three days in a tomb, and was resurrected
•Called “Way”, “the Truth the Light”, “Messiah”, “God’s Anointed Son”, “Son of Man”, “Good Shepherd”, “Lamb of God”, “Word made flesh”, “Word of Truth”, “the KRST” or “Anointed One”
•Was “the Fisher” and was associated with the Fish, Lamb and Lion.
•Came to fulfill the Law, and was supposed to reign one thousand years

Would you recognize this religious figure? Sound like someone you know? Well, of course, we are describing the figure of Horus!! What, did you think we were talking about Jesus? It sure sounds like Jesus doesn’t it? Would it shake your faith to discover that Horus was an Egyptian god who was worshipped thousands of years before the time of Christ? While Horus is no longer worshipped in our world, there are a number of atheists who are now assembling to argue that Christianity is simply a copycat of previously existing faith systems. Their argument is that Christianity is not true, and that Jesus never lived. He is simply a copied form of deity from a number of pre-existing mythologies!

Is He Really Like Jesus?

A first reading of these similarities is startling and for many Christians, these descriptions have caused them to stumble and doubt the true historicity of the man, Jesus Christ. So it’s important for us to examine the truth of these claims of similarity and to also see what the REAL mythologies can tell us about the heart of man that drives us to imagine what God might be like. There can be little doubt that there are a number of pre-Christian mythologies with dying saviors, but when we examine these figures closely, we’ll see that they only foreshadow the God who truly DID come to earth. These mythologies actually SUPPORT the claims of Christ. Before we begin to examine this mythology carefully, it’s important to recognize that a significant portion of what we just read about Horus is simply FALSE, and lacks ANY Egyptian archeological support whatsoever. Much of what is seen on this list is simply the effort of atheists to make Horus look as much like Jesus as possible. So let’s take a look at the truth and see what it can tell us.

The Truth About Horus

The mythical Egyptian God, Horus, was worshipped principally in two cult centers at Bekhdet in the North and Idfu in the south. Little remains at the northern location, but there is still a large and well preserved Ptolemaic temple at Idfu. So, most information about Horus comes from this southern temple. Horus was usually represented as a falcon, as he was a great sky God and the Son of Isis and Osiris. Let’s take a look at the claims we have already described and separate truth from fiction, and then try to understand the underlying hope of the people who invented the god called Horus:

Claim: Horus was conceived by a virgin mother named Meri, and had a stepfather named Seb (Joseph)
Truth: Horus was NOT conceived of a virgin. In fact both mural and textual evidence from Egypt indicate that Isis (there is no evidence that “Meri” was ever part of her name) hovered over the erect penis (that she created) of Osiris and conceived Horus. While she may have been a virgin before the conception, she utilizes Osiris’ penis to conceive. She later had another son with Osiris as well. There is no evidence of three wise men as part of the story at all (in neither Horus’ nor Jesus’ birth story for that matter!). Seb was actually the ‘earth god’, (earth itself, just as Nut was the sky); He was not Horus’ earthly father. Seb is NOT the equivalent of Joseph and, in most cases, he is described as Osiris’ father!

The Reasoning Behind the Horus Mythology: Clearly men dream and think about God, and when we do that, it is reasonable for us to imagine that God be in some way different from the natural order that He has created. It’s reasonable to assume then, that He would appear in a supernatural way, defying the natural order of things.

Claim: Horus was born in a cave, his birth announced by an angel, heralded by a star and attended by shepherds
Truth: There is no reference to a cave or manger in the birth story at all. In fact none of these details are present in the ancient Egyptian stories of Horus. Horus was born in a swamp. His birth was not heralded by an angel. There was no star to announce his birth.

Claim: Horus attended a special rite of passage at the age of twelve and there is no data on the child from the age of 12 to 30
Truth: There is no continuous effort in the Horus mythology to account for all these years, so there are no real gaps in the chronology. Horus never taught in any temple at twelve (as did Jesus), and keep in mind that Jesus didn’t ‘disappear’ in the years between His teaching in the temple and His baptism. He was simply working as a carpenter.

Claim: Horus was baptized in a river at the age of 30, and his baptizer was later beheaded.
Truth: Horus was never baptized. While the conspiracy theorists will often point to “Anup the Baptizer” and claim he was later beheaded, there is no such person in Horus’ story.

Claim: Horus had 12 disciples
Truth: Horus had only four disciples (called ‘Heru-Shemsu’), but at some point in his story there is reference to sixteen followers, and a group of unnumbered followers who join Horus in battle (called ‘mesnui’). But there’s no reference to twelve followers.

The Reasoning Behind the Horus Mythology: It is reasonable to imagine that God, if he was to come to earth, would then gather to himself disciples that would continue to share the truth with others.

Claim: Horus performed miracles, exorcized demons, raised someone from the dead, walked on water
Truth: Of course Horus performed miracles, after all he was supposed to be a god!! But there was no mention of exorcizing demons, raising people from the dead or walking on water.

The Reasoning Behind the Horus Mythology: It is reasonable to expect that if there is a God (a true God), He would have the power to perform the miraculous and control the forces of the natural environment.

Claim: Horus was called “Iusa”, the “ever-becoming son” and the “Holy Child”
Truth: No one in Egyptian history was ever called “Iusa” (the word does not exist) nor was anyone called “Holy Child”.

Claim: Horus delivered a “Sermon on the Mount”, and his followers recounted his sayings. He was transfigured on the Mount
Truth: Horus never delivered a “Sermon on the Mount”, nor was he transfigured.

Claim: Horus was crucified between two thieves, buried for three days in a tomb, and was resurrected
Truth: Horus is not reported to have died at all in the vast majority of story versions. There is also no crucifixion story. Instead, Horus is usually described as eventually merging with Re (the Sun god) after which he ‘dies’ and is ‘reborn’ every single day as the sun rises. (This is a bit of a stretch at a death and resurrection parallel). Now there is an unofficial story that describes Horus as dying and being cast in pieces into the water, and later fished out by a crocodile at Isis’ request.

The Reasoning Behind the Horus Mythology: If there is a true God, we would expect him to have mastery over death and be able to control the powers of death and life.

Claim: Horus was called “Way”, “the Truth the Light”, “Messiah”, “God’s Anointed Son”, “Son of Man”, “Good Shepherd”, “Lamb of God”, “Word made flesh”, “Word of Truth”, “the KRST” or “Anointed One”
Truth: None of these titles are in Egyptian history, but Horus IS called by several names you might expect for any god in mythology: “Great God”, “Chief of the Powers”, “Master of Heaven”, and “Avenger of His Father”. Horus was also not called “the Krst” because this word in Egyptian means “burial” (it wasn’t a title at all).

The Reasoning Behind the Horus Mythology: If there is a God, we would expect Him to be powerful and possess a title that reflects that power.

Claim: Horus was “the Fisher” and was associated with the Fish, Lamb and Lion.
Truth: Some of the conspiracy theorists try to show an association with fish (by virtue of the fact that Horus WAS a fish, very unlike Jesus), but there is no evidence that Horus was ever called a “fisher” or was ever associated with the Lion or the Lamb.

Claim: Horus came to fulfill the Law, and was supposed to reign one thousand years
Truth: There was no Egyptian “law” for Horus to fulfill, and there is no mention of a thousand year reign in Egyptian mythology.

It is clear that Christianity has stolen many of the stories from older religions like the Hindu the oldest religion in the world. Many like Zoe and GP will be total denial as to the origins of Christianity.
