The internal news feeds in recent weeks have been choked with the Ukraine/Russia conflict. The ideologues have taken positions. The pragmatists have taken positions. There are those who exist in the world devoid of interest in the geopolitical machinations being orchestrated by the global elite. The current state paints a picture of a world still polarized many years post the Cold War period.

What the Russian Ukrainian conflict has exposed to discerning observers is a continuing struggle of a few powerful countries to protect and grow strategic interests. In the Cold War period it was easy to debate geopolitical issues and conflicts which came to light in the context of communism and democracy. There was the simple conclusion to be made of the Soviet Union and the United States of America with acolytes in tow to explain matters arising. Both sides armed with nuclear weapons that secured the jobs of an active diplomatic corp.

A post Cold War period has seen the emergence of China as an economic powerhouse seeking to solidify its influence in the world. It therefore should come as no surprise Russia and China have seen benefits in establishing a strategic alliance. Such an alliance guarantees a continuation of a divided world not dissimilar to what obtained with USSR versus USA. It resurrects memories fashioned by Western media embedded in Rocky movies with Rocky Balboa pitted against Ivan Drago.

The more things change – some will remind us – nothing truly changes. For the last year of the Russia Ukraine conflict, so many lifes loss, damage to property and what? For a lowly blogmaster living in one of the most idyllic regions on the planet consisting of small island developing countries the story will not change. Our way of life and standard of living is almost entirely dependent on the state of global relations as the ongoing conflict again reminds us.

The strategy of the current prime minister Mia Mottley appears to be one of aligning Barbados with one side of the table to navigate a treacherous geopolitical path that will always be so. Such a strategy will incur the wrath of those like Dr. Tennyson Joseph is would prefer a non aligned approach. Political Scientist Joseph, the pragmatist will suggest your approach is no different to others taking an aligned position. We have to exist it seems in a world characterized by polarization and the conflict that flows from it. Could this a be normal state of play given human beings of different backgrounds having to govern within man made constructs?

  1. “Ukraine’s fight an example for all

    Barbados Today’s Editorial
    Some local commentators took comical jabs at Prime Minister Mottley on social media last year when she condemned Russia over its unlawful invasion of Ukraine. It is now one year later and we certainly recognise that the unwarranted conflict is no laughing matter.
    Calling the conflict disturbing, Mottley said in a statement from her office that Barbados reaffirmed the Caribbean Community’s (CARICOM) commitment to “sovereignty, territorial integrity, non-interference in the internal affairs of another state, the prohibition on the threat or use of force, and peaceful resolution of disputes”.
    She said the position was in keeping with the principle stand of engagement, a stand we maintained on the Venezuelan issue.
    Calling on the Russian Federation to “immediately cease its hostilities and respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”, she described the actions of Russia as a violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
    Some people were of the belief that Barbados was too distant geographically from the conflict, and had no place adding our voice to the issue some argued was leading to a third world war.
    “Drink water and mind our business” was the refrain heard. However, as we have come to realise, we are not that far removed from the conflict.
    Our international business sector had to undertake a sweep of its registered entities and their connections to ensure that Barbados did not become entangled in controversy over sanctions on Russia and that country’s oligarchs.
    One of the most significant consequences of the war in Ukraine, has been the inflationary conditions it created for countries like ours, heavy importers of energy products and food for our citizens and the tourism sector.
    Barbadians are struggling under the high supermarket prices as they are forced to spend an increasing portion of their wages and salaries on food, transportation, petrol, and utilities, all of which have been on a rapid rise.
    Russia and Ukraine are the world’s largest producers of fertilizers and wheat. As a result, the conflict has led to a sharp rise in the cost of these two commodities and the ripple effect has threatened food security for millions of people around the world including some in the Caribbean.
    Not only has the Russian invasion resulted in a rise in inflation across the board, it has also led to a disruption in the supply of electronic parts and slowed the supply and delivery of new vehicles, particularly electric vehicles.
    Apart from all this, the death, pain and destruction wrought upon the people of Ukraine are condemnable. Despite the war’s physical distance from us in Barbados, one cannot help but sympathise with the people of Ukraine who did not cause the conflict and are simply trying to survive and keep their country from being annexed and controlled by an aggressive neighbour.
    As one writer put it: “Pre-war Ukraine was by no means a perfect democracy. But if the country is overrun by Russia, it will be stripped of its sovereignty entirely and turned into a puppet state of Vladimir Putin’s dictatorship. This war came about in part because Ukraine wanted to join the European Union and NATO, the world’s two most powerful groupings of democracies. Putin invaded to stop that.”
    We are aware that parts of Europe have been at war for years, but there is something deeply disturbing about one man’s desire to control another country’s fate and using his military might to bludgeon them into submission.
    Russia, at this stage is not fighting Ukraine’s army. It appears the aim is to kill and destroy civilians and civilian targets, so that Ukrainians become so exhausted from the war, they will surrender to Russian rule.
    The Ukrainians are teaching the rest of the world that the fight for democracy is worth all the pain and suffering they are enduring.
    As the publication Gzero outlined: “For 16 consecutive years now, the world’s democracies have been deteriorating, according to Freedom House.
    Around the globe, popular dissatisfaction with poorly functioning democratic systems has opened the way for illiberal leaders to take power, eroding democracies from within. Well over half of those polled in the world’s leading democracies say they aren’t satisfied with their political system. And between 2019 and 2021, more than 2 billion people saw their societies become less free.”

    The negros who are voluntarily lost….they cant lead me anywhere …they covet western world stage attention too much to give that up for any Afrikan ancestral alignment.

    even Dompey had the good sense to recognize that when he visited the continent, he knew he felt no connection, …while these paper mill degreed pretenders still cant see what they have become.

  3. “Ukraine fight is example for all.”

    What bullshiite. These assholes!

    For the record Russia’s SMO, Special Military Operation was strictly legítimate and in accordance with the United Nations legal requirements.

    These rassoul people who continuously spread these lies about the Russians they love to hate and mouthing Western propriganda should at least look into the causus belli for this intervention, the legal protocols as strictly followed by Russia, before talking shiiite.

    So when assholes depart on an entirely wrong premise it becomes unnecessary to read anymore.

    They will tell us that Putin was a KGB agent. What they will not tell us is that he was merely a lawyer within the intelligence services. And like any good lawyer he’s a stickler for details. Indeed, he’s so fastideous that people like this writer and many others within the Kremlin criticize him from the left while defending him from the rightist forces of oppression and ignorance.

    Putin has a good brain. But according to people close to Mottley the same can’t be said of him.

    It is easy to see the effects of propaganda brainwashing
    as soundbites you hear people trying acting clever
    are just parroting things they heard other people say

    War protests should be about criticising your own Government
    and when there is no involvement by your own nation
    then listen to both sides narratives to gain understanding and balance

    Apartheid and segregation had a lot of support and a lot of propaganda

  5. “It is for this reason that I have been insistent that given the region’s position of “structural irrelevance” in the global political-economy, CARICOM had no business pretending to be otherwise by joining in a “condemnation of Russia” bandwagon, to the point of announcing its own embargoes against Russia. How silly and laughable. Instead, I recommended a policy of strategic silence, of watching and waiting.”

    Reduction ad absurdum
    Couldn’t read all of the comments for they are too heavy for me. I begin and end with this paragraph from Joseph.

    Put 12 men in12 tubs with soil in them. They can call the tubs islands or nations and step out on the world stage taking stances and making noises. They forget their irrelevance in the grand scheme of things.

  7. @Yolande Grant – African Online Publishing Copyright (c) 2023. All Rights Reserved. on,

    Point taken.

    The Caribbean nations do not have natural allies on the African continent. Barbadians have always viewed the African continent as “backwards!” Barbados appears, belatedly, to be having a stab at cementing relationships with Guyana and Kenya but this will take time to ferment.

    We all know that Indians stick like glue. I would love to say to you to that it would be good for us in the Caribbean to work in unison with our black brothers and sisters in Grenada, St Lucia, Jamaica, et al. However, this will never work. Jamaica has to be one of the worse offenders in the Caribbean when it comes to working with others in the region.

    If Guyana and Barbados “as neighbours” can develop their economies in tandem. Then, this would expose the inherent weakness of Caricom.

    I have noticed, Waru, that some characters appear irregularly on BU, simply to enrage rather than to engage. I prefer to have a chuckle, rather then to engage them. They remind me of the character called Pinocchio. They are the “White Helmets” of BU. LOL!!!

    Good to hear from William Skinner and Pacha.

  10. Ukraine’s fight an example for all

    What the Hell!!
    An example of what??!!
    That for the very first time, when the albino mobsters move to eradicate an independently thinking leader of a progressive world power, they find themselves between a rock and the deep blue?

    How is it difficult for thinking people to see that this is merely the sequel to what happened to Muammar Gaddafi, Saddam, Syria and others, as the albinos schemed to protect their almighty dollar???

    Libya and Iraq were actually GLOBAL MODEL COUNTRIES, even by western standards of development when these leaders were demonize by the world’s REAL Demons, and then destroyed with ’shock and awe’ to demonstrate the ‘power of the Evil albino materialistic empire.

    What is different now, is that Putin and Russia have proven to be ‘a bridge too far’ for the sons of Satan.
    A CLEAR case of meeting up with your match at last, as Karma takes over.

    Putin and the Russians tried EVERY possible way to arrive at treaties and agreements about how military forces were to be distributed around their borders.
    EVERY peaceful EFFORT WAS THWARTED by the demons who have a long HISTORY of using such weapons to murder millions who they deem to be a threat to their dollar…

    Then, led by the global Poppet-in-Chief, Joe Biden, they cajoled and provoked and armed Ukraine to initiate a conflict which was designed to bring Russia to its knees – forcing out Putin and hopefully bringing back another ‘Gorbachev-like’ joker to pander to western whims.

    It has all backfired…
    Their western asses are headed for the shit-pit….
    …and it will all involve nuclear weapons in unimaginable and epoch-changing episodes of destruction.

    That independent thinking BLACK people could be so blindly captivated by these albino demons is surely the ultimate case of Stockholm syndrome….

    …and the ultimate idiocy will be to come to deserve the same fate from Karma, as do your 400-year long tormentors…. but this is how a Brass Bowl is defined…

    I’m aware that there are certain cliques on BU, one of which you are a member.

    “You are a HYPOCRITAL CHARACTER “who also appear irregularly on BU” for two specific reasons.

    Firstly, when your freinds, without provocation, verbally abuse contributors, you REMAIN SILENT…… but would “appear on BU” to DEFEND the ABUSER and ‘drop SNIDE remarks’ to the ABUSED, when he/she retaliates the abuse.

    And, secondly, to harshly criticize Barbadians and those BU contributors outside your clique…… describing them as ‘BU sheep,’ ‘Bajan sheep’ and characters.

    That is definitely sound advice, but for right now, we need to mentally focus on the reconnection process first, it is protracted…but people from the diasporan region, including the Caribbean, go to the continent every day now. And it will increase because of the dynamics now playing out…those interested will all get to visit eventually, but as is happening right now, organization is still in progress.. …..

    The battle is real. Some on the continent had to be warned of the anti-Afrikan governments in the Caribbean who still have no problem sabotaging pro-African initiatives. The self-hating attitudes since the days they sabotaged Marcus Garvey, Clement Payne snd a long list of others still exists and remains heightened..

  28. Waru
    Yes. While people in Barbados are flying Ukrainian, Nazi, Banderist, flags, along with the wokeist colours, and looking for all means to get more racist IMF money in never ending supply – White people, in true Klu Klax Klan style, like they have always done, are imposing practical supremacy for these Nazis from Ukraine on populations in the West led to falsely believe, including the crypto-racist Mia Mottley government of Barbados, that this war is not about racism, when its historical arc, its development, its recent incarnation, even as many times plainly conceded by Putin himself, is nothing but about White supremacy. Only giant mushrooms in their cities could defeat this at source.

    Hoofbeats on the frozen ground”

    And downhill the riders came
    Lord it was a crying shame
    To see the blood upon their whips
    And to hear the snarling from their lips
    And I cried “Mother! Mother! I
    Feel a stabbing pain
    Blood flows down like summer’s rain”

    And each one wore a mask of white
    To hide his cruel face from sight
    Each one sucked a hungry breath
    Out of the empty lungs of death
    And I said “Sister! Sister! I need
    You to take my hand
    It’s always lonely when it’s
    Time to stand”

    He who rides with the Klan
    Is a devil and not a man

  30. Peace and Democracy

    The following article was submitted by Peter Laurie, former head of the Barbados Foreign Service and author of several books.

    The most important and depressing foreign news is the one-year anniversary of the Russian war on Ukraine.
    Is there a way out of the seeming impasse in Ukraine? Yes.
    A Russian ceasefire followed by withdrawal of all Russian forces to where they were a year ago. Then a UN-mandated comprehensive peace, security and justice conference for Europe based on territorial integrity and sovereignty, the observance of human rights, and taking into account the security concerns of every European country.
    This is necessary because after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 and the end of the Cold War there was no definitive settlement such as happened in the wake of the Second World War.
    Such a resolution to the war in Ukraine depends heavily on the United States (US) and China cooperating to that end. Right now, that seems unlikely.
    Apart from the death and devastation inflicted on the people of Ukraine, this war has come to symbolise a lot.
    It symbolises the end of the multilateral order that was constructed after the Second World War.
    Globalisation
    It symbolises the end of globalisation with the chronic disruption of international trade and supply chains, along with the growth of protectionism.
    It symbolises the resurgence of Cold War geo-politics in which “great powers” compete for “spheres of influence”. We see in essays published in journals of international relations the use of such anachronistic terms as “the West” (always the good guys), and the “Free World” (which back then included apartheid South Africa and some of the most barbaric right-wing dictatorships in Latin America).
    It symbolises the seemingly inevitable implosion of the world in a nuclear holocaust. One unintended wrong move on the part of Russia, China, or the US will affect all of us. Remember the African proverb “when the elephants fight it is the grass that suffers”.’
    Most of all, it symbolises the masculine dinosaur mentality to control and overpower that characterises Great Power relations.
    On the other hand, if a feminine (not excluding men) approach to international governance reigned, we might see a new paradigm for international relations that was more peaceful, inclusive, equitable, and sustainable. The UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with its plan of action for people, planet and prosperity envisages such a new planetary order, better equipped to confront the threats of climate change, pandemics, water scarcity, and loss of biodiversity, as well as the scourges of poverty, hunger, violation of human rights, and persistent gross inequality. It would also equip us better to manage digital technology and artificial intelligence for the benefit of all humanity.
    On the local front, the good news is that the Constitutional Reform Commission and the more recent Parliamentary Reform Commission augur well for the strengthening of democracy in Barbados.
    Central to this priority are three issues.
    First, the reform of our First Past the Post (FPP) electoral system in which there can be a wide disparity between the percentage of the popular vote received and the parliamentary seats won. For example, in 1999 the DLP received almost 40 per cent of the popular vote and won only two seats out of thirty. Proportional Representation (PR) is not the answer. This allows every minuscule party with no grass roots support to have representation in Parliament, resulting in unstable coalition government and legislative gridlock. Another drawback of PR is you don’t have constituency representatives. In Barbados, constituency representation has been an essential part of popular accountability and should be retained.
    A better system is that adopted by New Zealand in 1993, which is a combination of FPP and PR known as Mixed Member
    Proportional Representation (MMP). Under MMP, each voter casts two ballots: one for their constituency representative (FPP) and one for their party of choice (PR). This system ensures that people have representatives of their specific geographical constituency who can address their local concerns, while, at the same time, the parties have seats that represent their share of the popular vote.
    Oversight on executive
    Second, Parliament needs to have a much greater oversight of the executive.
    One mechanism to enhance this would be to limit the size of the cabinet to one-third of the members of parliament.
    Another would be to allow a prime minister to appoint one third of the Cabinet from outside the legislature entirely but with the proviso that those so chosen must be approved by a majority of the parliament. This would allow the prime minister to make more choices on the basis of relevant qualifications, skills and experience. At the same time, requiring parliamentary approval would limit nepotism and cronyism.
    Strengthening the committee system in parliament would allow for greater continuous oversight of the executive, including both the political directorate and the bureaucracy. All this would work better in a unicameral legislature, meeting twice a week with one session devoted entirely to committee work Third, there must be mechanisms for greater public participation in governance on an ongoing basis.
    Let me end on a note of high praise for three recent books by Barbadians that chronicle their personal journeys: Journeys around the World for Love and Money, by Sharon Milagro Marshall, My Journey through the Public Service by Selwyn Smith, and My Tourism Journey: Memoir of a Pioneering Barbadian Entrepreneur, by May Hinds.

  31. Peter Laurie! You are painful to read. Which diplomatic rock have you been living under? Don’t you know that the Inited Nations is a fully-owned subsidiary of American Empire? Has it’s Secretary General not made that clear? Do you not know that the Minsk Agreements were accepted by the UNSC and had therefore become part of International Law? Have you not heard the criminal admissions by Angela Merkel, former French and Ukrainian presidents, which in their own voices, contend that they were just stringing the Russian Federation along so that NATO could arm Ukraine to the teeth to be their cat’s paw against Russia? Have you any historical memory at all about the last 300 years of Russian existence dominated by the zeal to be accepted as part of ‘Europe’ and consistently being rejected? Do you not know that Vladimir Putin himself has spent his entire political life trying to part of the West? Why is it so impossible for you to accept that a clean break has been made by the Russian Federation? Do you even recall any of the abundance of occasions, historically, when Western countries betrayed Russia? Would you recall how the Anglo/Saxon criminals – Winston Churchill and Harry Truman – were plotting to invade, balkanize Russia, immediately after the much hated Soviet president, Joseph Stalin, had expended 27,000,000 lives to win the The Great Patriotic War or WW2 for the West? Why would you presume that there’s an appetite within the Kremlin for forked-tongued diplomats like you, as an act of war by other means, again seeks. to achieve Western aims. Why should the Russian Federation trust anybody in the West? Do you not know that your American curators have broken every diplomatic agreement, threats obligation whenever they perceived them not to be in their immediate interests? Have you not concluded that the American empire, of which your UN is merely a factotum, has never recognized the sovereignty of ANY nation state?

    And we could go on ad infinitum! But know that this war will and must be won on the battlefield. That the political process which must come shall be the unconditional surrender of Ukraine as the Russian Federation attains all it’s military objectives. Currently, as Russia has already destroyed two Ukrainian armies, is killing hundreds or sometimes thousands of their internationalized troops daily, indeed reports state up to 250,000 dead already and three times that number injured, there remains a slightly ajar window where Ukraine might avoid being a rump state, devoid of any military potential, landlocked and an eternal dependent on the West like Kosovo is. And Kosovo best represents the decadence of diplomacy.

    Which Side are You On?

    Here is some positive lyrics from the Freedom Singers 😊

    Down here in Mississippi the losers have we met
    Neither are peanut butter or top nor roast barley

    Everybody now (oh)
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on? Everybody
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on?

    Don’t cover Mr. Charley
    Start listen to the word polite (yeah)
    ‘Cause we’re black folks and gathered sails
    Unless we own the light

    Everybody now
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on? Everybody
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on?

    And I’ll tell you, today I’ll keep preaching
    We hope he heard our plea
    For the next time he put us in jail
    We could throw away for free

    Everybody now (oh)
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on? Everybody
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on?

    Have you heard about the patty wagon?
    They’re bigger than light to drag
    If you stand up for your rights
    We’ll take you for a ride

    Everybody now (oh)
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on? Everybody
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on?

    They say put on canny
    No losers have we met, yeah
    You’ll either be a freedom fighter
    Or trample me ahead

    Everybody now (oh)
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on? Everybody
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on?

    Don’t tamper Mr. Charley
    Don’t listen to his lies
    All the color folk in there got a chance
    Unless we own the night

    Everybody now (oh)
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on? Everybody
    Which side (are you on, on)?
    Which side are you on?

    Oh tell me, Mayor Allen
    Where is your heart?
    We are all children of the Almighty God

    Everybody now (oh)
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on? Everybody
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on?

    Come on, you little people
    Give up your voices and sing
    Will you die in the Ku Klux Klan
    Or neither lose again?

    Everybody
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on? Everybody
    Which side are you on, on?
    Which side are you on?

    It is much better to remain silent and let people think that you are wise , than to expound on topics that are clearly above your pay grade,
    …and achieve otherwise.

    It is also no wonder that Barbados is where it is (owned lock, stock and barrel by the albino demons) – given the now revealed quality of our foreign service advisors.

  35. Elections in Nigeria. Results expected today. Of course, this pantomime too has its shortcomings.

    Given tectonic geopolitical shifts and Nigeria, the most populace country on the Motherland, on a continent which shall be the most populace by 2050, having the youngest population tooo, recently discovering unusually high concentrations of lithium, we should have expected Western electoral interference.

    And it did come. Through the American agencies for “democracy”. Blinken, their UN ambassador Thomas-Greenfield, and their now CIA agents like the NED the National Endowment for Democracy.

    Indeed, these people plus Samantha Power, the regime changer, are seen in an ad pretending to be encouraging Nigerians to vote. However, any interest of the criminal Americans in an Afrikan election must be illegal and should be viewed by their own recent history.

    About 80 horses in the race for president. Surely, the American have an angle😄

  36. My side has just one person, that’s me.

    The worse put down I ever heard was when a radio host referred to a conversation with a caller as travelling on “5 miles of bad road”.

    Can you imagine bumps, pot holes, pot hole dodging, moving along briskly and then coming almost to stop and moving forward at a snail pace, then portions of the road becoming like a cart road…. Had a flashback of my last visit to St Lucy.

    I hope you will forgive my failure to contribute, but Ukraine/Covid/some of the other stuff does not resonate with me.

    Was reading the Rickross article and remembered this video i saw last week where ice melted in one of the cold regions and what do you know, it revealed pyramids and statues of Afrikans from we can easily guess 50 thousand or more years ago since ice caps dont materialize or disappear overnight…….Afrikans built everywhere on our earth. That truth could not stay hidden forever.

    The swedes gotta suck it up…seeing as they are appearing in ancient Afrikan bloodlines, both them and the Danes…wonder wuh dem doing dey..

    Pacha….a dangerous destructive crypto-racist slave society, with Afrikan descents in the majority as ongoing victims….that should bring condemnation from every quarter,..,.am sure they tell themselves they will get away with this too….in 2023….and for another 100 years or more….

    Dem got some real big plans.

  39. Waru
    If there’s one thing about the truth it is that nobody really wants to know. This is the lesson of life. And even when unavoidable, lies are more convenient for the vast majority. Of course, distractions about the character of truth will be given voice to question actual reality.

  40. I can see how my above comment can be taken as an endorsement or criticism of some. That was not my intention..

  42. Thanks.
    sound of nails across a chalkboard.
    You made a sacrifice for me as I know that is not your type of music.
    I did not hear any scratching or the sound of nails on a chalkboard.
    I appreciate it.

  43. @Bush Tea

    You can’t answer the blogmaster’s question?

    Was Haiti a model society back in the day maybe?

  44. Can’t ever refuse good music even when moody or constipated trying hard to make people laugh but it is not working again and you feel the tears of a clown
    But don’t let my glad expression Give you the wrong impression Really I’m sad, oh I’m sadder than sad You’re gone and I’m hurting so bad Like a clown I appear to be glad (sad, sad, sad, sad) Now they’re some sad things known to man But ain’t too much sadder than The tears of a clown when there’s no one around, uh
    Do you like good music
    That sweet soul music
    Just as long as it’s swingin’
    Oh yeah, oh yeah

    Out here on the floor now
    We’re going to a go go
    Ah dancin to the music
    Oh yeah, oh yeah

    “Of course, distractions about the character of truth will be given voice to question actual reality.”

    They can question with distraction till they drop dead….reality ALREADY WON…now they gotta FACE IT HEADON…

    But as we can see, many still did not get the memo….they will fade away into thin air….i have no clue what they think they can pull off with what’s approaching when they are the only ones IN THE DARK…cause we both know if they had any clue….THEY WONT DARE..

    see how they are now trapped in someone else’s covid mess, the big time bullies always know how to implement wickedness and nothing else….., did someone say they started paying out for vaccine deaths and injuries? Could swear that is what was spreading this week gone…..that can give them some serious prison sentences or WORSE…..hope the lines for pay out are thousands of feet long… with people like JFK descent at work it’s highly possible….which many believe is IDEAL….well their sideshow which is now costing them bigly…. is nothing in comparison….

    They have run their course, and man did they gallop to come full circle…

  48. I hope that you did not lose your scratching collection, but rather that someone gave you access to their musical collection. Note that I would not have consider it a great loss but I know it would be painful for you.

    BU say thanks to your music benefactor.

    I was almost persuaded to join you in posting some blues…

  49. Last interruption
    I just asked myself “Self, how is your day going”
    And then I realized I was trying to make conversation with my new bestie 555.
    And I said to self “Self, it cannot get any worse. Good thing there are no cliffs nearby.”

    Repeating: Have a great day Barbados.

  50. You can’t answer the blogmaster’s question?
    ~~~~~~~
    Bushie must have missed the question Boss…
    There has been no such thing as a ‘model society’ to Bushie’s understanding of the concept so far in history…
    We have seen numerous various types over the ages, but ultimately, the whole objective of ongoing social development is to advance towards the ideal…. the perfect society.
    Haiti was a case of REAL MEN standing up against tyranny for their dignity (or dying with pride in the process) – unlike brass bowls who kowtow to the demons, and manage to ‘live’ long enough to die the thousand deaths of cowards and slaves.
    As a ‘model’ society, Haiti is probably even worse than the damned albinos…. what manner of people would treat each other as we witness with those gangs?
    Russia is currently playing the 21st Century Haiti role too. While being themselves no way near ideal, they are PROUD enough, and strong enough, to put some good lashes in the Western albino donkey – just like Haiti did to the French back then.
    The fundamental requirement of an ideal society, has to be an acceptance, and understanding of the intent and the objectives of the grand Architect of the whole concept….
    Everything else is spinning top in mud.
