We are actively pursuing slavery reparations from England. The CARICOM Reparations Commission recently visited England [1] with the ultimate aim of convincing them to pay. However, we are preparing to lose because we are unwilling to try to answer England’s likely arguments.

When adjudicating a dispute, both sides are allowed to present their best persuasive arguments. Then each side is allowed to respond to the other’s arguments before a judgement is determined. To ignore or ridicule the other side’s arguments is to plan to lose.

OUR ARGUMENT.

We presented our best arguments and reportedly paid Dr. Coleman Bazelon BD$120,000 to quantify the economic impact of slavery in Barbados (only Barbados dollars (BD$) are used in this article (US$1 = BD$2)).

Dr Bazelon quantified up to $4 Trillion in reparations, but his report remains protected from public scrutiny. Therefore, any errors in the report will likely be exposed during the adjudication process – which will certainly reduce the report’s credibility.

ENGLAND’S LIKELY ARGUMENT.

Their likely argument based on recent comments from politicians in England, may be based on our late notice. During our Independence negotiations with the Colonial Office in 1966, we (Barbados) did not claim reparations on behalf of our enslaved fore-parents and England did not claim compensation for the island and its natural resources and infrastructure. Further, it seemed that nuclear armed England agreed to defend Barbados militarily. It appeared that we negotiated a contract agreed by both sides.

Now almost 60 years after the ‘divorce’, where the distribution of assets, compensation payments and defense responsibilities were settled, we want England to pay present-day slavery-reparations costs of up to $4 Trillion. This opens the door for England to request similar present-day costs for the island and its natural resources and infrastructure – and the repayment of defense insurance premiums.

QUANTIFYING COMPENSATION.

Barbados’ land area is 432 sq-km. Assuming an average land-cost of $12 per sq-ft results in $55.8 Billion.

The public infrastructure (roads, water distribution and public buildings) built by 1966 is estimated at $1.8 Trillion at today’s prices.

Barbados’ 97 km long coastline has the potential for offshore islands, which may be located within our 636 sq-km Three Nautical Mile (NM) line. The offshore islands in Dubai extend approximately 5 km offshore and the land costs approximately $2,500/sq-ft [2]. Assuming: (i) a similar land cost with a 50% profit on development and (ii) development being limited to 80% of the sea bed, results in approximately $6.8 Trillion in profit.

Barbados’ Territorial Sea extends 12 NM from the coast. Assuming an average cost of $1/sq-ft of our sea-bed results in approximately $33 Billion.

Barbados’ Exclusive Economic Zone extends 200 NM from the coast. Assuming an average sea-bed cost of $0.50/sq-ft results in approximately $1 Trillion.

The Government revealed that we may have 13 billion barrels of oil and over 40 trillion cubic-feet of natural gas [2]. Assuming a 20% profit margin results in profits of approximately $1.4 Trillion.

The sum of these compensation claims is $9.4 Trillion, which does not include annual defence insurance repayment costs which are likely to be higher than the reinsurance we pay for properties. When we subtract our $4 Trillion reparation claim, we may owe England $5.4 Trillion – which we cannot afford to pay.

REDUCING COMPENSATION LIABILITIES.

It is better to know these estimates now because it gives us the option of trying to reduce our potential compensation liabilities.

Perhaps we can negotiate a profit-sharing arrangement if we ever: (i) sell or lease sea-bed areas in our Territorial Sea or Exclusive Economic Zone and/or (ii) construct off-shore islands or infrastructure beyond 30 m from the low water mark to our Three Nautical Mile line. These two items should reduce our liability costs by approximately $7.9 Trillion while not affecting our reparations claim of $4 Trillion. So, we may end up with reparations of $2.5 Trillion or approximately $9M for each Barbadian.

Another option is to use 1966 costs rather than current costs. This will reduce the amount of England’s compensation claims, but it will also reduce the reparations total. Therefore, we should only consider this if the profit-sharing negotiations fail.

STUCK ON STUPID.

There are several other compensation-reduction options we may consider, but our current method of: (i) being unwilling to consider any argument other than our own and (ii) chanting that our ancestors are demanding reparations, do not appear to be winning strategies.

If this matter is adjudicated internationally and we enter as unprepared as we currently are, then it is foreseen we will lose badly and be forced to pay an unaffordable compensation claim. We may lose our island-home simply because our radical activists looked in the river – and thought the reflecting bone looked bigger.

    Grenville highlights the problem with Barbadian reasoning well,
    Barbadians seem to operate at a lower energy vibrational level,
    (He probably thinks I am not referring to him, whoosh over his head..
    you have to love the dread who vibrate at a higher spiritual level)

  2. This writer does not support the reparations claims because they are best seen as a way to redeem Caribbean elites from the work weee should have done post independence.

    It’s a way of furthering the enslavement of Afrikan peoples by again asserting that we are the wards of Caribbean elites. If there is money owned, why do we need these criminals, all, to be the stewards for the living descendants of our forebears.

    However, for the writer to make these specious argument are incredulous.

    The writer’s point of departure starts with the notion that Barbados, as a country, was owned by the British as though there were no people here previous to their invasion of 1627. For him, the world begun with the arrival of the British.

    He argues that a post independence national security agreement has the economic value at least equal to stated reparations claims.

    He ignores the fact that the British paid reparations to slaveholders representative of their perceived losses, human chattle. Are Whites the only humans who are capable of loss.

    As an engineering consultant himself and without even reading the report, obviously done by someone who was also deemed to be an expert in this field, he proceeds to marginalize it. How remarkable!

    The 120K which Bazelon charged is a pittance. Given the numbers of hours, writing, researching, travel and so on. This writer is surprised that he only charged 120K. In our estimation anything less than 12 million would have been a steal.

    Why?

    We’ve been involved in projects where archetects, engineers, town planners, quantities surveyors and other professionals were changing over 20 percent of project valuation or costs. If Bazelon really wanted to charge as based on a 4 trillion dollar valuation and he just charged 5 percent, the real costs would have been 200 million. One percent being 40 million.

    Then acting as lawyer, judge and jury he proceeded to issue a verdict in favour of the British.

    And weeeee can go on all night highlighting the everything which is inacurate with this entire misguidance, to put it mildly.

    Yes, the writing well represents the product of a mind hoping to be in another’s body. Itself, the stark evidence that slavery ain’t done. And in so doing the writer does the opposite of what he set out to do. Meaning, he makes the case that slavery is still alive and well in him. That 1838 has not yet come.

    Indeed, Grenville Phillips is making the case, as also used recently in England to Mia Mottley, by an apparently White woman, that reparations should be paid to Britian for “civilizing” Afrikans.

    The country is sick.

  3. Bushie is forced to agree with Pacha.

    ANY attempt to rationalize our slavery history in monetary terms can ONLY come from a misguided commitment to the albino-centric philosophy of materialism, greed, and selfishness – and at the expense of spirituality, ethics, morality and RIGHTNESS.

    HOWEVER…
    Since Pacha knows the weaknesses of everyone else’s position on reparations, perhaps we can be educate on the ‘right and proper route’ that should be taken…
    Anyone can sit back and find faults with the positions taken by others – particularly when viewed from completely different epistemological perspectives.

    Bushie is most amused for example, that @Pacha’s basic issue with the Karmic solution is that it comes from a biblical perspective, …and that the scoundrels ‘used the Bible extensively’ to perpetrate the very crime of slavery…

    Well hey!!!
    -They ALSO used sound agricultural policies at the time to become economic powerhouses…
    -They ALSO focused on hard work, innovation and creativity to create wealth…
    -They ALSO used their eddykashun system to facilitate and perpetuate their agendas

    So is Pacha ALSO saying then, that we should:
    1 – Abandon sound agricultural policies now that we are no longer in slavery?
    2 – Forget hard work, creativity and innovation now that we are free?
    3 – Neglect to utilize a proper education system to prepare our children for the REALITIES that face them?
    …since these are all vestiges of the slave past?

    Or can Pacha be big enuff to agree that we need to be INTELLIGENT enuff, and DISCERNING enuff, to identify the good, from the bad, and from the indifferent – and to act accordingly in our OWN best interests…?

    What a time to be alive!!!

    Say what?!

    The whole reparations argument is entirely about spirituality, morality and righteousness *

    meanwhile the whole argument against reparations is the antithesis of spirituality, morality and righteousness.

    It is black and white**..
    (**) where white means dishonest, specious, criminal..

    Truth and right..

    (*) I ain’t getting no reparations money is proof that argument is not about money

    Reparations is about the fact that blacks in Americas were brought as slaves

    some people can be too clever by half..

    Rightwing anti-liberal anti-woke racism is the fear of a black planet

    [a side note: a rising percentage of my points of view are not heard]

  5. Blacks of Africa were deemed savages because Woman’s breasts were uncovered.

    The biggest perverts and rapists with mental sicknesses in history were the sanctimonious slavers and rapists of the Western Hemisphere i.e. the European Race who should be charged for crimes against Human Race.

  6. Pach:

    Every accusation you made is erroneous. For the record.

    I do not support reparations for two reasons: (i) it keeps persons mentally and emotionally enslaved and (ii) it economically retards the progress of the majority who must be shown to be economically retarded and disenfranchised to justify reparations claims. Therefore, policies must be maintained to keep people economically depressed.

    That said, since we are on the reparations trail, we should pursue reparations in a way that we will likely be successful, regardless of our individual preferences or biases. That is one of the goals of the article.

    To some of your other matters.

    1. The British paid reparations to individual slaveholders directly. We were paid reparations to be managed by our elected representatives – who forced us to: (i) purchase land already paid for by our enslaved foreparents, (ii) pay annual land taxes on this land and (iii) put us all in an unsustainable debt.

    2. The $120K fee is not surprising. The concern is that such a report paid with public money must remain secret.

  7. @Bush Tea

    Are we sure monetary terms are the only measure the team is using? At the end of the day, the issue of reparations is about reconciliation between the abused and the abuser to address atonement. This is an argument that will be undergirded mainly by moral suasion, one the Church of England has already accepted. The only reason this is a protracted debate is that it is framed mainly via a political and economic lens.

    If in the process the abuser and the abused can see the opportunity to understand how the strong can assist the less strong in this situation, so be it. What we as the abused cannot do is to allow one of the most egregious acts in the history of mankind to become a blurred footnote in the history of the world.

  8. Why do we adopt a view that fighting for reparations means that we must renege on our obligation to uplift ourselves as a people despite the constraints? Do we understand that the traditional power structures in the world today ensures a David and Goliath scenario?

    We cannot be so naive about what external factors strongly impact how we develop our fragile societies.

  9. MY LATE ADOPTED MOTHER FROM BERMUDA, WHO WAS MARRIED TO A PALESKIN ENGLISHMAN WOULD OFTEN SAY TO ME (when I raised racial & ethnic issues) – “THAT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE #PopularColour OF THE DAY – THEN YOU HAVE TO EXPECT THAT THERE WILL BE NO PARITY ON ANYTHING”

    Well, I proved her right over the last [30+] years!!!

    THE GREATEST HOLOCAUST IN ALL OF HUMAN DISPENSATIONAL TIME ALLOCATION (#WrittenInScriptureTwice) FELL UPON BLACK FOLKS – BUT TRUE HISTORY IS A DANGEROUS UNDERTAKING IN THE WORLD IN WHICH WE NOW LIVE – WHERE MEN ARE WILLING TO BELIEVE A LIE FOR TRUTH

    50 – 100 MILLION* #BlackFolks died in the “TRANS-ATLANTIC SLAVE WAR” (not counting the 1 million Black Hebrews who were “SLAUGHTERED) by Roman General Titus in AD 70 – dispersed into Portugal & Spain & “ACROSS AFRIKA*!!!

    Then came the Papal Encyclical – “DUM DIVERSAS” (1452) that granted Portugal the right to conquer NON-Christian lands in West Africa & to enslave their inhabitants began on Portuguese soil where “BLACK JEWS” had to either “CONVERT to Catholicism” of be exiled to SAN TOME* – then to be removed into “SLAVERY”!!!

    THIS BEGAN THE PROCESS OF BLACK INCARCERATION DUE TO THE APTLY TITLED PLANDEMIC* (#BlackDeath) AKA BUBONIC PLAGUE – WHERE PALESKIN EUROPE WAS DECIMATED IN THE MOST HORRIFIC WAY POSSIBLE

    “ROMANUS PONTIFEX” (1455) – 3 years later, issued by #PopeNicholasV, this bull expanded on “DUM DIVERSAS”, granting Portugal a monopoly on TRADE* & CONQUEST* in AFRIKA* (a #ThrivingCivilisation) & explicitly sanctioning the seizure of NON-Christian lands & “ALL ITS WEALTH” – giving “TEETH” to the former “PAPAL EDICT”, sanctioning the “TRADE IN BLACK FLESH; RAPE, PILLAGE & MURDEROUS HOLOCAUST IGNOMY”!!!

    Then came “INTER CAETERA” (1493) Issued by #PopeAlexanderVI following #ChristopherColumbus’s voyages (UNDER THE AEGIS OF THAT WHORE QUEEN ISABELLA OF SPAIN), this “BULL” (#InterestingWord given its spurious connotations), divided the newly discovered lands outside Europe between Spain & Portugal, reinforcing the right of Christian nations to claim lands not inhabited by pseudo-Christian (CATHOLICS)!!!

    ReLIEgious ROME* was doing what “IMPERIAL ROME” did not finish in taking “EVERY BLACK NATION” captive to the “WHIMS” & “FANCIES” of a #LeopardLikeBeast, as cited in (Rev 13:1-10)

    All this “FORE-WARNED & RECORDED” in the “SACRED CANON” of Scripture – beginning @ Deuteronomy, chapter 28 et al

    WHAT IS A COMPLETELY ASININE SHYTE-SHOW IS TO SEE THE CARICOM COMMISSION ET AL HAVE NOT & WILL NOT PURSUE THE VILE, NEFARIOUS INSTIGATORS OF SUCH A UNIQUE FORM OF HISTORICAL DEVILISH BARBARITY – #TheCatholicChurch & her “AGENTS”!!!

    NOW LOOK AT AN IRREDEEMABLE CONTRAST – (PALESKIN WAR v PALESKIN PEOPLE)

    Since 1952, the German GOV* has paid approx. US$80 billion – US$89 billion (roughly 80 billion euros) in compensation & restitution to Holocaust survivors and their heirs….

    This total includes over US$79.7 billion paid by the end of 2021, with recent agreements adding significant funds for home care & direct survivor payments right through to 2027!!!

    LET THAT SHYTE SINK IN

    The key components of these payments include –

    (1) Total COMP* since the signing of the Luxembourg Agreements in 1952, Germany disbursed more than 80 BILLION* euros (US$79.7 billion) to approximately 800,000 victims & their heirs!!!

    (2) In recent agreements around 2023, Germany agreed to further pay an additional US$1.4 billion to survivors globally, with US$535 million allocated for direct payments (including monthly pensions & “ONE-TIME APYMENTS” of roughly US$1,365 per person in 2024) & the remainder for home care services!!!

    Look @ the historical context regarding the “REPARATIONS” program that began with the 1952 Luxembourg Agreements signed between West Germany, Israel, & the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (CLAIMS CONFERENCE), which were designed to provide financial justice for the persecution of Jews during the 3rd Reich…

    Since 1948, the US has provided IsraHELL* with more than US$300 BILLION* in total cumulative aid (approximately US$175 billion in nominal terms & US$298 – US$318 BILLION* when adjusted for inflation), making it the largest recipient of U.S. foreign assistance since World War II….

    Here’s how the “SO-CALLED AID” breaks down –

    Military v Economic Assistance

    (1) The vast majority of this support has been military in nature.

    Since the late 1970s, aid has been structured primarily as Foreign Military Financing (FMF).

    (2) Military aid accounts for roughly US$124.5 billion (nominal) to US$263 billion (inflation-adjusted) of the total.

    This includes funding for missile defense systems like Iron Dome, David’s Sling, & Arrow…

    (3) Economic aid, though historically significant, totalled approx. US$34.3 billion (nominal) to US$89 billion (inflation-adjusted), with annual economic grants largely ceased in the early 2000s in favor of increased military funding.

    (4) Recent escalations (2023 – 2026) following the October 7, 2023 attacks & the subsequent war in Gaza, U.S. aid levels surged significantly above the baseline annual commitment of US$3.8 billion.

    (5) War-Time supplemental aid between October 2023 & mid-2026, the U.S. provided at least US$21.7 billion in additional military aid.

    (6) 2024 peak fiscal year alone, total aid spiked to approx. US$12.5 BILLION* due to emergency supplemental packages.

    (7) 2025 – 2026 commitments by the Trump admin. (inaugurated 2025) expedited approximately US$4 billion in emergency military assistance in early 2025.

    (8) The 2026 defense budget, signed by Trump, allocated over US$4 billion in security support, maintaining the standard US$3.8 billion M.O.U baseline while adding funds for joint defense technologies.

    ALL THAT SAID – WHO CARES WHAT THE HELL BLACK FOLKS WANT

    Let me say it as “PLAIN” – as day shines with bright beams of light –

    The “ALBINO-CENTRIC, PALESKIN DEVILS” who run the world will NOT* cough-UP* a “RED-CENT” without “SUPERNATURAL INTERVENTION” – forcing them to “RELEASE” what is rightly ours!!!

    MOSES* DID NOT FORCE PHAROAH* – “THE MOST HIGH” BEAT HIM DOWN 2 HIS CALLOUSED, BLOODY KNEES THROUGH HARDENING HIS HEART, (a double whammy of punishment) SO THAT IN THE END, EVEN THE EGYPTIAN POPULACE MASSES CRIED OUT 4 DELIVERANCE FROM THE BLACK-HEBREW ISRAELITES

    Take from that what you will…

    Speaking personally, “DIVINE JUSTICE” is always the best of “ALL OTHER WORLDS”!!!

    One way or another, it’s comin’…

    THE DIRTY BASTERDS WILL PAY – NOW* OR THEN*

    On that maligned note

    #IMDUN*

  10. @ Dr Phillips

    I reserve “COMMENTARY” on your brilliant piece – as I had to posit a “GUT-WRENCHING RANT” about (something I am known only too well for here) on this far-flung “PLAGUE ISLAND” called the (DIS) #UnitedKingdom of #Amnesia & #Paranoia!!!

    Time permitting, I will provide an analytical preamble to your piece!!!

    Meantime, thank you for raising up the draw-bridge!!!

    EVERYTHING IN THIS LIFE HAS A SHELF-LIFE UNTIL IT BEGINS 2 ROT & STINK 2 HIGH HEAVENS (including the “HUMAN GARBAGE” that most have become)!!!

    Brilliant!
    “At the end of the day, the issue of reparations is about reconciliation between the abused and the abuser to address atonement. This is an argument that will be undergirded mainly by moral suasion, one the Church of England has already accepted. The only reason this is a protracted debate is that it is framed mainly via a political and economic lens.”
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This is the most incisive assessment of the current reparations situation that can possibly be contemplated or articulated.
    It all comes down to:
    1 – A willingness to offer genuine forgiveness by the abused.
    2 – A mechanism through which such forgiveness can be executed
    3 – Genuine repentance, character adjustment, and change in future attitude and behaviors by the former abuser.
    So we are essentially speaking about CHARACTER alteration here…
    On both sides.
    If the abused only want vengeance for past atrocities, then this is just natural human behavior and the problem stays with us.
    If the abusers only want a perceived threat of harsh retaliation to go away, while holding on to the SAME OLD characteristics, then we are only playing for time… no change.
    The situation is IDENTICAL to the spiritual dilemma that mankind now faces – having chosen to DISS our Creator and opting for brassbowlery instead…
    The Creator has expressed a willingness to forgive – PURELY OUT OF LOVE.
    The Creator has provided a mechanism for redemption – one that encompasses CHARACTER reformation from brass-bolic, to community-centric.
    All that remains for SPIRITUAL reparations, are the genuine repentance, character adjustment, and change in behaviors of those brass bowls out there… especially Pacha…
    “The natural world reflects the spiritual truth, glory, and character of God. “
    Our reparation issue is a lesson into the REAL SPIRITUAL dilemma that confronts us all.
  12. Bushie
    What nonsense? What reconciliation? What atonement?
    Who has ever asked for forgiveness? Are the overwhelming proofs not pointing in the opposite direction?
    Where have been these mechanisms in 600 years.
    Where have been these loofty ideas about character ajustment and genuine repentance. These are impossible to achieve by White people. Unless we’re all driven to your religious indoctrination, a propaganda construct, by slaveholders. “With this sign we shall conjure them” said the church. Meaning the cross.
    Don’t you see that in Afrika, even Asia, even the Caribbean, White people are seeking the same old aims, and means?
    We’ll have to suggest the área of enslavement on which you have serially raised. And that that need to forgive and forget is irrational. Fortunately, Pacha has no such proclivities.
    These recent reparations discourses were started in this writer’s presence and with a wider group of people and local organizations on the scene and active, even activist.
    At the time we suggested an issue to which would have met your approval.
    That the original project of the industrial enslavement of Afrikan peoples should have been the point of departure.
    That that point should have been the Trans-Sahara Slave Trade as started by the A-rabs less than 200 years after their Prophet Mohammad is said to have been here. It lasted for 1300 years, if one assumes it’s no longer. Indeed, they were Slave markets in Mecca, amongst other places, soon after this socalled Mohammad.
    Indeed, for 1300 years up until 1962 or 1972, can’t currently remember the precise year, but one of these, the Arabs were still trading in Afrikan slaves.
    Even as recently as 2017 there were slave markets operating in Libya by Arabs. Slave markets selling exclusively Afrikans.
    Our questions to you, a question which is aimed deep within your víscera, is about your irrational desire to forgive people who have never admitted that anything wrong was done.
    Why are the Arabs, the people said to have more money than god, not being implicated in these reparations discourses?
    And we don’t mean a pope here, or a priest there. Indeed, the church too was central to the enslavement of Afrikans. How can you ask any Afrikan to forgive any organization which should have possessed a moral compass? And failing which should not exist.
    People, who up to this day continue the same practices as before. Using all kinds of pretexts, they have long proven that your forgiveness matters not to them. But it’s your criminal Christian acili which acts as backstop to make you hasten to want to forgive your open enemies.
    Our central question revolves around the stark contradictions you here represent. Your prized logic about the Trans-Sahara Slave Trade, as the original crime of chattle slavery, is to be forgotten, while a subsidiary of Arab enslavement, you motivated by a pillar of the same slave system, and as your Boss Man now demands, that you seek ideals established by the same Satan herself.
  13. Yes @Bushtea, we have to act like human being using grandmother’s definition. Unfortunately we live in a world today, the more educated we become – meaning letters behind the name – the more ignorant we get.
  14. @ Pacha
    No need to rant and rave at de bushman Boss…!
    You are, for the most part, endorsing and reinforcing Bushie’s analogous comparison of our local reparations dilemma – to the existing intent and scope of the special spiritual initiative called “Project Life on Earth Phase 1”
    You are VERY right when you ask “”Who has ever asked for forgiveness? Are the overwhelming proofs not pointing in the opposite direction?””
    It has been the ABUSED who have been exploring options and seeking pathways to address the breach… NOT THE GUILTY ABUSERS!
    …EXACTLY as is the case where brass bowls have NOT been exploring ways to amend our breach created against our Creator. It has been the offended CREATORS who have held hands out in invitation… and that made the ultimate sacrifice to facilitate such redemption.
    Again you hit the jackpot when you identify that it is not just a black / white thing. Whites, Asians, Japanese, Chinese, Africans, ALL HUES AND COLORS – and especially our own acclaimed albino-centric Brass Bowls – who are now more albino-centric than the original slave-masters – ALL EXHIBIT THE SAME FLAWED CHARACTERISTICS – except that Bajan brass bowls are not very good at the AC thing… LOL we can’t even manage our own money…
    And in answer to your question about Bushie’s “irrational desire to forgive people who have never admitted that anything wrong was done.”…
    Not stinking Bushie Boss!!! … the bushman can’t ‘forgive’ a soul.
    The REAL question is why the CREATORS OF ALL THINGS have this “ irrational desire to forgive brass bowls who never admit to the lotta shiite that we did… instead of just wiping the slate clean with a GREAT EARTHQUAKE, and over starting fresh… like Bushie would do tomorrow…
    But apparently this was explained in John 3:16
    Your loss – if you miss this in your literary review….
    LOL
    Ha ha
  15. Grenville
    You might have made indistinguisable “this writer” and “the writer”. One obviously referring to you and the other to Pacha.
    Certainly, we’ve long located you within those narratives which would always see rightness in Whiteness.
    In those circumstances, this writer will never mistake you to be a supporter of reparations. Maybe the entirety of that post made this clear.
    Have the excuses you so dutifully found for the largest and longest crime against humanity as perpetrated by Arabs, Jews and White people against the Afrikan peoples affected the Jews, for example with their reparations from Germany?
    And what about other indegenous peoples who continue to be genocided by those you so stoutly defend.
    The critical success factors you suggest will be irrelevant if Afrikan peoples lack the power to make just demands, the means to enforce them, if weee are misled by sellout politicians and those who are instrumentalizing reparations for their own failures in moving the descendants of slaves forward. The political-managerial classes.
    Nowhere in the histories is there a sintilla of evidence that the British paid any reparations either to former slaves or their descendants. Not even the British are making or have made this factuous argument.
    If they were paid as you suggest, a number of universities in England would not have been allowing Beckles to use this issue to generate revenue paid by them.
    Museums would not be starting to return tens of trillions in cultural artefacts. Most Western museum will have to be closed.
    Reparations is not just about money, cannot be. Pacha will demand payment in real money, gold.
    In such a consequential case, whether in the public domain, political bodies like the UN or the law courts or all three, there is the possibility that those who paid for it might have seen a need for a delayed disclosure so that the enemies to their case not know everything right now.
    Do you know all the arguments being made, that will be made, by oppositional forces?
  16. The West and it’s specious arguments against reparations is akin to Israel’s position with their war propaganda to cover up their genocide and the actions that led to so called terror against them.
    As a side note Trump’s Iran War of distraction has been successful in the sense that people have forgotten about him and Epstein files due to the worries of rising petrol prices over the last 6 months.
    Germany’s reparations to Jews has been a step towards them joining the world community.
    But, whenever forces swing towards world unity and equality, there is another swing towards racist fight clubs and gutter politics of the right wing and corrupt media.
    Yin and Yang is an ancient Chinese philosophical concept describing how opposite but complementary forces exist in harmony. Originating in Daoism, it illustrates dynamic balance: Yin represents darkness, passivity, and the moon, while Yang represents light, activity, and the sun.
  17. The “bigger bone” must be the depression which now seems highly unavoidable.
    Such a depression, not recession, will wipe the reparations rechtoric from the léxicon of Caribbean and Afrikan elites. The lackeys of empire.
    Elites totally committed still to the financialization of everything include the memory of the Great Ancestors. Maybe they are planning to again sell us all into slavery when the pottage of reparations runs out.
    And maybe it is Them, The Ancestors, who are acting in out world to disrupt the perfidious deeds of Mia Amor Mottley and Hilary McDonald Beckles.
    For the empire of the mad king, Donald Drumpf, is so feckless that it cannot understand how it was, and continues to be, totally defeated by the real civilizational state of the Persians.
    With mid-terms coming, oil prices still escalating, inflation rising, the 10-year bond rate nearing 5 percent, Yemen imposing a blockade on 7 million daily barrels of Saudi oil, with Iran incessantly pounding the American terrorist military bases in West Asia, killing untold numbers of their terrorist soldiers, Drumpf is out of all options and now seeks to resort to the destruction of civilian infrastructures in Iran.
    Of course, the Iranians will respond by destroying all the oil and gas facilites in the Persian Gulf, the desalinization plants, eléctrical generation capacities, etc. And in an área where temperatures are up to 50 degrees celcius at this time of year, all the Gulf-Arab states will be unlivable. And of course, 30 to 40 percent of various petrochemical products will be no more, gone forever as fires burn day and night. An end to the AI dreams as the price of litium becomes uneconomical.
    Reparations? In these circumstances, not even a boy shall utter such a word. Enter, the brave new world of Huxley!
    AMEN!!!
  20. I am against the pursuit of reparations simply because there will be none forthcoming. Where are these governments going to find the money? Are they going to tax the billionaires for us when they won’t even tax them for their own people?
    We are wasting time, energy, and money on a fool’s errand!
    There is a new world order and new systems emerging. The Western colonisers are losing their dominance before our very eyes. Their stated mission, as per Marco Rubio, is to celebrate their five hundred years of subjugating the darkies and turn the clock back to the good ole days when there was no pretending to be doing otherwise. And his audience cheered!
    The Anglican Church is a religious organisation. Most of its members are now black. Its survival depends on appearing to do penance. To have hope simply because the Anglican church offers pennies on the dollars it earned from colonisation and slavery is laughable.
    Chasing reparations is a waste of energy that would be better spent in looking forward in an attempt carve out a place in the new world. There is much that can be done to heal what ails us even without reparations.
  21. Different types of reparations.
    https://www.quaker.org.uk/documents/un-basic-principles-guidelines-on-reparations-appendix-b
    In the opinion of a lowly blogmaster, countries like Barbados that were pillaged by the colonials must continue to vigorously pursue reparations as a just objective. Also abandoning this pursuit would be recorded in history as a surrender by our descendants in ‘time to come’, to borrow Crazy’s lyrics.
  22. Yesterday paper oil was around 90 to 100 dollars per barrel.
    However, spot prices or prices for immediately deliverable crude were north of USD140.
    Caused by perceived threats to cargoes in both the Straights of Hormuz, the Bab el-Mandeb Straith and the actions of international insurers particularly in London.
    Not unconnected, is an article today in the Financial Times, a paper unworthy of toilet use. However, today it gave some valuable information on Venezuela which should be pregnant with meanings for those of us not decidedly slaves still.
    The FT, from an investigation, found that Venezuela has exported over USD15 billion in crude since Dumpf decided that reparations to White people should be paid by Venezuela. And to him particularly.
    Of that 15 billion the Venezuelans only got a paltry 300 million. This is colonialism, imperialism, a story of what White always were and always will be. Even with an earthquake, Venezuela’s resources must serve the greed of those in the seat of global capitalism.
    We eagerly await the day when those mushroom-headed devices make their mark.¹
    Well said, everyone is put on this planet in this time and place for a reason which is called their purpose in life. As the first generation of slave descendants who are now in a position to challenge the perpetrators of the New World Atlantic Slave Trade that had been responsible for UK and USA’s generational wealth in a zero sum game that robbed Africa of it’s children and then colonised it to rob it’s natural resources.. and are now admitting their inhumanity and massive crimes, Reparations is a worthy life long mission to commence which might even be passed on to the next generations to complete. Let the Children Play. Let the Music Play. Perhaps you could update BU’s 10 point plan to accommodate Reparations in line with the Black Panthers 10 point plan. I note you made a Freudian slip typo which was on point (Repatriation).
  24. GOOD MORNING, DR PHILLIPS! ANOTHER MISSION IMPOSSIBLE YOU HAVE UNDERTAKEN. HERE IS MY PROMISED TAKE ON YOUR RIGOROUS PIECE OF ANALYSIS BASED CLEARLY UPON THIS NIGGLING, NAGGING, NEFARIOUS ISSUE FACING BLACK FOLKS OF EVER GENRE
    In my humble opinion, this could very well be the most profound “ACID TEST” for a nation on its knees, but not for the reasons your critics might assume.
    You have written a piece that is not an argument against “REPARATIONS”, but a “STRATEGIC WARNING” about the catastrophic consequences of pursuing them with a combination of “ARROGANCE”, “SECRECY”, & “WILLFUL IGNORANCE” of the opponent’s likely “LEGAL” arguments…
    Forget a lengthy preamble as I’d promised, & let me break down this “CHATTEL HOUSE” & reconstruct a “GLASS” house – where the profound test dictates what is at stake…
    Let us begin
    Dr. Phillips is acting the part of a chartered arbitrator – not a political activist!
    His argument is brutally logical and effusively procedural!
    Any dispute is a 2-sided process – can we “all” agree on that?
    In any adjudication process, both sides present arguments and respond to the other.
    To ignore or ridicule the other side’s likely arguments is to plan to lose (straight out the gate)!
    There is a fatal weakness existent in the discourse based on narrow-minded thinking individuals!
    Brassbados paid a consultant $120,000 to quantify US$4 TRILLION* in reparations, but his report remains “HUSHED * CLOAKED IN SECRECY”!
    This makes it impossible for the public to scrutinize it, and it guarantees that when British lawyers attack it – (GUARANTEED) our defense will be reactive and unprepared!
    HILARY BECKLES, MIA MOTTLEY ET AL DO NOT HAVE A CEREBRAL EDGE ON BRITISH LAWYERS – THESE PEOPLE HAVE CENTURIES OF A WRITTEN PLAYBOOK THAT THEY HAVE HARNESSED AND PERFECTED
    Britain’s likely counter-argument, as opined by Dr Phillips as (“THE BIGGER BONE”) forces us to consider that Britain’s likely response will be that in 1966, (UNDER THE DIPPER ET AL), we negotiated a “DIVORCE” settlement!
    The terms did not involve claims reparations; they did not claim compensation for the island, its infrastructure, or its natural resources; and they agreed to defend us!
    Now, 60 years on, we are asking for “TRILLIONS”!
    By doing so, we open the door for them to demand a reciprocal present-day valuation of the island, its infrastructure, and its resources.
    THE DEVASTATING MATH WILL BE THIS –
    He quantifies what England could claim!
    Land value: $55.8 Billion
    Public infrastructure (1966 value): $1.8 Trillion
    Potential offshore islands (3 NM line): $6.8 Trillion in profit
    Territorial Sea (12 NM): $33 Billion
    Exclusive Economic Zone (200 NM): $1 Trillion
    Potential oil and natural gas profits: $1.4 Trillion
    Total potential English counter-claim: $9.4 Trillion (excluding defense insurance).
    THE RESULT
    Subtract our $4 Trillion claim from their $9.4 Trillion counter-claim, and we could owe England $5.4 Trillion – a sum that would bankrupt the nation and literally cost us our island!
    POKER PLAYERS HOLDING A ROYAL FLUSH
    On a personal “NOTE” – and I hate to do this because there are people in and out of Britain, who think that I care precious little for “PROCESS”, but simply enjoys throwing “MONKEY WRENCHES & SPANNERS” into whatever are considered serious works!
    Well, I have lived amongst these people and understand their playbook better than they do themselves, because of my accumulated profound knowledge of the “HISTORICAL TEXT” – taught to me by “LATE, GREAT UNCLE” (Dr Alfred Wilkerson Blackett), who taught Caribbean Prime Ministers & a host of other Caribbean notables (including our late family member Sir Branford Mayhew Taitt , born May 15, 1938 & died February 15, 2013) – a man of remarkable cerebral aptitude!!!
    That said, the question is –
    HOW DO YOU OUT-FOX – A RAVENOUS FOX
    The “ACID TEST” is not whether Britain pays.
    It is how Barbados handles this strategic warning.
    There are [2] possible responses!
    (1) Response A
    The “STUCK ON A STUPID PATH”!
    (2) Response B
    The “PRUDENT, STRATEGIC PATH”!
    Simple logic!
    Dismiss Dr. Phillips’ argument as “negativity,” “pro-British,” or an attempt to undermine the reparations cause, or recognize that he is a chartered arbitrator with a duty to identify risks, and treat his analysis as a crucial piece of strategic intelligence.
    Keep the Bazelon report secret, preventing public debate and scrutiny, or release the “BLOODY” report, (or a detailed summary of it), for public and independent expert review to strengthen its credibility and identify weaknesses before they are exposed in court.
    Refuse to consider or prepare counter-arguments, chanting that “the ancestors demand it.”
    Formally and rigorously model Britain’s likely legal strategy, including the counter-claims Dr. Phillips outlines, and develop a comprehensive legal and negotiation strategy to mitigate those risks.
    Claim the moral high ground and hope that alone we wins the day, or engage in quiet, professional diplomacy to explore a settlement or profit-sharing arrangement that secures meaningful reparations without triggering a ruinous counter-claim.
    (2) likely outcomes!
    Lose badly, face a crippling counter-claim, and jeopardize national sovereignty.
    The other likely outcome is to secure a more modest but real and enforceable reparations package, while protecting the nation from financial and legal catastrophe!
    Here’s the “Deeper Point” – which is a test of our national maturity!
    Dr. Phillips is challenging the nation to move beyond performative activism and embrace strategic statecraft.
    The “BIGGER BONE” is a metaphor for a fatal psychological trap!
    Seeing only what we want to see (a huge reparation payout), while ignoring the reality that our opponents are looking at an even bigger prize (our entire national patrimony)!
    His critics, dismiss him as a “SELLOUT” or accuse him of “making the case for Britain.”
    NONE OF THEM HAVE LIVED IN BRITAIN OR HAVE GOTTEN UNDER THE HOOD OF THE BENTLEY!
    That is a colossal misunderstanding!
    Dr Phillips is doing the opposite – he is sounding a warning that if we do not prepare for the counter-arguments, we will lose everything!
    He is offering a path to limit our potential losses and maximize our potential gains through negotiation and profit-sharing!
    The acid test is this –
    Will we treat this as a legal and strategic dispute, requiring rigorous preparation and a willingness to engage with uncomfortable truths?
    Or will we treat it as a moral crusade where any questioning of the narrative is treason, and where the only acceptable outcome is total victory – a victory we are ill-prepared to achieve and which, if pursued naively, could result in total defeat?
    THESE ARE THE FACT BARBADOS FACES
    This article is the culmination of Dr. Phillips’ entire body of work.
    He has repeatedly shown how Barbados has failed to prepare for predictable crises!
    Building codes – ignored, leading to potential structural collapse.
    Healthcare – reactive, leading to an epidemic of NCDs.
    Energy policy – piecemeal, leading to a grid crisis.
    Migration policy – unexamined, leading to potential social and political upheaval.
    Now, he is applying the same forensic logic to reparations!
    His messaging is consistent!
    Clearly, Barbados is NOT* a serious nation because we refuse to do the hard, unglamorous work of strategic preparation!
    We prefer slogans to strategies, secrecy to scrutiny, and moral certainty to practical wisdom!
    We have a PM* and so-called intellectual “ELITES”, (ON & OFF THE HILL), who are as “DUMB” as my neighbour cats – who now come & “SHYTE” on the Astro-turf on my front lawn when they could simply walk 20 feet to the right & “SHYTE” in real grass – but oh NO*!
    My 5 cents conclusion (FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH)
    The piece by Dr Phillips “A BIGGER BONE” is indeed an acid test.
    It forces Barbados to choose between [2] futures!
    A future of strategic recklessness, where we pursue a noble cause with amateurish tactics, risking national bankruptcy and the loss of our sovereign patrimony!
    Or, a future of strategic wisdom, where we use all our national talent, including the analytical rigor of men like Dr. Phillips, to prepare, negotiate, and secure the best possible outcome – while protecting our nation from catastrophic risk.
    The “FORENSIC ACID” is the truth he has spoken.
    Whether it corrodes our illusions or dissolves the ignorance that prevents us from seeing clearly is the real test.
    If Bajan leaders, continue to “STAY STUCK ON STUPID” – they will fail miserably!
    If they use his warnings to sharpen their strategy, they may yet prevail, not by winning a US$4 Trillion windfall, but by securing a meaningful, sustainable form of justice – without losing our island home in the process!
    On that gargantuan note
    Semper Fidelis
  25. The blogmaster insists on looking backwards while attempting to walk forward. I have a feeling it has more to do with desperation than lofty ideas of justice.
    There is no morality in Western governments! One would think that the genocides they support in full view of the world would put that idea to bed. They care nothing for justice. They will never care about justice.
    And here’s the thing— most of the Western world’s regular citizens recognise that slavery and colonisation were crimes against humanity. But even they are against reparations because it affects their bottom line. Any government that proposes to pay reparations will find itself out on its ear.
    Dream on, David! I prefer to accept the fact that the only time concessions are made with respect to human rights is when it becomes too costly to do otherwise. Morality plays a very minor role, if any at all. Money is the master of this world.
  26. An image of the blogmaster as Wil E. Coyote just entered my mind. Never did catch the Road Runner, but he did manage to catch himself with extremely painful consequences.
    Dub,
    Exactly what position do you think we are in to challenge the perpetrators? What is our leverage? Please, don’t tell me moral suasion! An effective challenge, in this case, must be more than arguing facts. This is not a debating society. The West has given up any credible pretence of morality. They are not even wearing their tiny mask anymore.
    It would be much more constructive for us to focus on our own morality, something which is within our control.
    We will never be a major player in this world. There are too few of us. But if we tackled our own corruption, imagine how far the lil money would stretch. If we tackled inefficiency, imagine how our quality of life would improve.
    And if we tackled our own individualistic, materialistic mindset …
  27. “Exactly what position do you think we are in to challenge the perpetrators? What is our leverage? Please, don’t tell me moral suasion!     It is simple love… any conversation with the wicked West has to be put in terms of slavery reparations
    when they want allies in war the reply is slavery reparations
    when they want resources the reply is slavery reparations
    when they want to impose tariffs the reply is slavery reparations
    you have to understand how their bent mindset operates with their twisted lies
    when they were challenged about reparations they talked about forced labour and modern day slavery today
    when they were challenged about inequality and human rights for blacks they talked about gay rights
    when GB lost the US war of independence they talked about prohibition of slavery
    They want to preach and police to the rest of the world but not be held accountable for their wrong doings, illegal wars, institutional racism, abuse and weaponisation of technology
    the task is not for oldies anymore
    children of all races should look at the uncovered facts and be the judges of what should be done for the future
    children don’t discriminate unless they are brainwashed to do so
    in the numbers game whites are the minority of this world and not the owners or God’s chosen ones
    the spiritual battle to win hearts and minds shall be fought with music arts and crafts to teach the children of the world that good is good and bad is bad
    when you always speak the truth you intuitively recognise lies
    they have a bad vibration emanating
  28. The reparations argument is one that will be contentious. There is no right or wrong way to go. If we use a moral argument, it is a slam dunk. If we use a tort argument, it becomes mired in legalese because the legal principle of proximate causation is strong.
    The blogmaster prefers to operate using the KISS principle – for one race to have institutionalized the enslavement of a race, out of which enormous economic benefits were derived, is wrong by any measure. The same economic benefits were used to grow power structures that, hundreds of years later, force Black people to play catch up that will take probably the same hundreds of years.
    As the disadvantaged people, we CANNOT ignore this wrong. We already have to filter the inaccuracies in how history was recorded of that time.
  29. Hi Terence:
    Thank you for examining the pearls – which is normally the most a research-based writer can hope for. That they be trod underfoot is the normal expectation.
    Our current approach seems two-fold: (i) threaten to have the matter adjudicated and (ii) shame institutions (Anglican church, monarchy, universities, government) and descendants of plantation owners to settle – before exercising the threat.
    We have gotten the Anglican church and some universities to pay our reparations merchants to absolve their shame. They have sufficient activist congregations and students for force their hands.
    The shaming approach has generally been: (i) resisted by descendants of plantation owners, (ii) tolerated by the monarch, and (iii) ignored by the government. However, recently, some of their politicians have pushed back – requesting compensation.
    Triggering their compensation claim is mainly within our control. But before we release the bone we already have (putting it on the negotiating table to be lost), we need to verify, to a level of certainty, that the reflecting bone is real and bigger than any compensation claim. So far, we have been unwilling to do that.
    By setting our limit at $4T before quantifying any potential counter-claim was a poor strategy.
  30. These are the ingrained attitudes which make the Bajan …… Bajan.
    Serially recognized the world over as the most reactionary of all, slaves!
    What are the moral, legal, or other bases of begging for reparations from global elites when those who have committed the crimes of slavery, genocide, the thief of history, the continuing war crimes, are still as committed to their maximalist White supremacist vision as they were before?
    They should give us a singular example, from all of history, where any such just claims were settled.
    Those making such claims for reparations were never interested in justice until it occurred to them that they’ve have a possible stupendous opportunity to extend the organizational principle of slavery. We’ve had these sophisticated niggers before and operating in similar ways. Nothing new here!
    And when we have a wolf in sheep’s clothing promising to bring justice to sheep the obvious conclusion should be that reparations are merely a cipher for another program. Doing to sheep that which is best done by wolves.
    We should ask ourselves why these compradors have finally found safety within such a political machination as they continue to act as agents for White people. As we note White people are never offended by them.
    Indeed, their behaviours are no different to the terrorists the slave masters are using this very today in areas of the world where resources are bountiful but where the countries were for centuries kept in poverty. Can one still suggest that that abnormalcy is normal?
  31. You are entitled to your opinion, as does the blogmaster. Note no disparaging label was required – the disagreement was offered respectfully.
    One of the root issues to today’s world is that arrogance has replaced the capacity to be tolerant of the views of others. This has been one of the great learnings from the BU project.
  32. Trump was born in 1946 on the wrong side of history when whites would beat the shit out an elderly black man for walking in “their streets”, or kill them for campaigning to share a diner, swimming pool, water fountain, library, park, park bench for ‘Whites Only – No Coloureds Allowed’.
    Any white person who spake or campaigned against this was called a liberal, commie, Ni99y lover and treated the same way.
    It is clear that Trump was part of the White protests against Civil Rights movements (1954-68) as he is still as prejudiced AF. He supports any racist theory concocted even when proven wrong, such as the South African whites in fear of their lives nonsense who he allowed in as refugees. With a racist President it proves that we are only half way there, despite the steps and gains made during our lifetime.
    Reparations are also about a Truth and Reconciliation Commission
    just like the TRC was a court-like restorative justice body assembled in South Africa in 1996 after the end of apartheid.
    In all honesty, …this Donna submission says it all.
    Indeed, the concluding statement is THE key point to be made.
    There are only two additional / different points to be made…
    1 – There IS an authority that IS in position to challenge the perpetrators… Mother Karma herself… and any OPEN eyes will see this already in motion…
    2 – We COULD easily become THE major player in this shiite world – IF ONLY WE RECOGNIZED the power that is within us, and the strength of the NATURAL characteristics of community-centricity – that we have SUPPRESSED, as we have tried to copy the very albino-centric traits that we are accusing…
    Our focus, efforts and ambitions are misguided could indeed, be MUCH more constructively focused as suggested.
    What a state!
    To BT or not to BT
    To BT or not to BT that is the question…
    I have said it before and I will say it again..
    You have misunderstood the concept of Karma and adopted a simplified Western perspective
    This AI desc may shed some light
    Come in the light it is shining bright
    >>>>
    Karma translates literally to “action” or “deed.” Originating from ancient Indian philosophy, it operates as a universal law of cause and effect. It dictates that every action—whether through physical deeds, speech, or thought—is driven by intention and will inevitably produce a corresponding consequence.
    The Core Meaning
    In Eastern philosophies like Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, karma is the mechanism that drives the cycle of rebirth (samsara). It is not a system of divine reward or punishment, but rather an autonomous, natural law—much like gravity—where one’s choices directly shape their present and future experiences.
    Good Karma: Results from positive, ethical, and selfless actions driven by good intentions, which eventually lead to happiness and favorable outcomes.
    Bad Karma: Results from intentional harm, greed, or ignorance, which creates negative consequences and suffering.
    How It Works in Daily Life
    Understanding karma focuses heavily on mindset and the conditioning of awareness. The ripple effects of karma operate in practical ways:
    Intent Matters: It is not just the act itself, but the underlying intent behind an action that generates the karmic seed.
    Mental Conditioning: Consistently harboring negative thoughts or emotions (like anger or jealousy) conditions the mind, naturally leading to unhelpful speech and unkind actions. Conversely, practicing compassion and generosity alters your perspective and cultivates a more peaceful existence.
    No Scorekeeper: Karma is often casually described in Western culture as “what goes around comes around,” implying a cosmic disciplinarian. However, in traditional teachings, it is simply the natural unfolding of causes and conditions set in motion by the individual.
  37. @Bush tea
    The answer is simple, when something is wrong, it deserves to be challenged because it is rh wrong, even if the solution is NOT immediately obvious. By refusing to accept what is wrong, we protect the integrity of our own character and the moral fabric of our fragile society. We act as human beings, surprised you are NOT able to see this point given your pontifications in this space.
    Anyway, you and others are blessed to be able to have a different view on the matter.
  38. UN SECRETARY GENERAL, PREZ OF GHANA & OTHER WORLD LEADERS JOINED TOGETHER ON THE REPARATIONS DEBATE & TO BRING BEFORE THE WORLD COURT THE INSIDIOUS NATURE OF THE TRANS-ATLANTIC SLAVE WAR IN WHAT WAS A COMMERATIVE ACT ENTITLED – “The International Remembrance Day of the Victims of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade”
    THE MOTTLEY CREW* GOV* ET AL SMELL BLOOD IN THE WATER & LIKE ALL PREDATORY SHARKS – A “whiff” IS ALL YOU NEED 2 GATHER THE COLLECTIVE
    The #UnitedNations has not specified a total monetary figure for slavery reparations…
    @ Dr Phillips et al
    In March 2026, the UN General Assembly passed a landmark resolution recognizing Trans-Atlantic “SLAVERY” as the “GRAVEST CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY”” (EVER COMMITTED) & urged member states to contribute to a “GLOBAL REPARATIONS FUND!!!
    However, the resolution did not establish a specific dollar amount…
    The UN framework focused on “REPARATORY JUSTICE” through multiple forms – including “RESTITUTION”, “COMPENSATION”, “REHABILITATION”, & guarantees of “NON-REPETITION”!!!
    The “RESOLUTION” passed with “123 VOTES” (in favor), while #AMERIKKKA, #IsraHELL*, & #L-Argentina “VOTED AGAINST IT”, & (52 OTHER COUNTRIES), including the (DIS) #UnitedKingdom of #Amnesia & #Paranoia & EU member states – “ABSTAINED”!!!
    However, independent estimates have been proposed…
    A report presented by the “BRATTLE GROUP” in June 2023 estimated “REPARATIONS” for harms (APTLY TERMED – MASS DIABOLICAL GENOCIDE), during & after “Trans-Atlantic Chattel Slavery” at more than US$100 TRILLION!!!
    Additionally, academic calculations based on the “WARSAW CONVENTION” value of US$75,000 “PER LIFE LOST” suggest a “MINIMUM Basic Reparation” amount of US$75 TRILLION*, which could rise to US$100 TRILLION* when including compensation for the “DIASPORA’s SUFFERINGS” over 500 years!!!
    I thought I would add an “EXTRA DISH” to the existing “BUFFET TABLE”, given that transparency is lacking amongst our own GOV*(s) & especially amongst those who “CREEP AROUND” in the “DARKNESS” – because their “DEEDS” are “EVIL CONTINUALLY”!!!
    As usual, my 5 cents worth…
  39. “ Bush Tea….The answer is simple, when something is wrong, it deserves to be challenged because it is rh wrong”
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This is an admirable stance.
    But is it practical?

    WE live in a world where it seems that everything is ‘wrong’.
    Surely all these wrongs deserve to be challenged…
    -What the Israelis have done in Gaza
    -What Trump is doing in the USA
    -What US authorities continue to do to non-whites
    -What our government has done with the missing money from HOPE, HELP, STEAL housing etc.

    But PRACTICALLY, what DOES makes sense – is for us to INDIVIDUALLY ensure that OUR personal worlds can withstand such challenges.

    Unless we are specially talented, anything more cannot be reasonable, as there ARE some roles that are beyond our personal pay grades.
    This is why we call the police.

    What Blacks have endured over the Centuries has been so egregious, that reparations require the intervention of the spiritual police.
    Wuh…
    If you became aware of a murder, would you seek to adjudicate it on your own…?
    What fine would you impose?
    How much jail time?

    ….yuh betta call the damn police – while making sure that you yourself don’t kill nobody…
    LOL
    ha ha ha

  40. @TB

    The reparations debate didn’t start with Mottley, it didn’t start with native Indians in the USA, it didn’t start with the native Indians in Canada, hell, let us forget the Jews. Is it practical? Or is it the right way to react if we are ti be morally honest? In the view of a lowly blogmaster this is not a zero sum issue.

  42. Well boss, perhaps you can handle the roles of blogmaster and ‘brassbowlery police’
    but not stinking Bushie…
    The bushman tried that shiite with a whacker …and it had to get tek way yuh!

    So now Bushie will be leaving such police wuk fuh de police,
    …and leaving Karma’s wuk for the spiritual enforcement police.

    LOL
    Nowadays, when de bushman encounters such brassbowlery,
    the ‘Bushy Bajan’ translation of Psalms 37 comes to mind…

    Don’t fret yuhself because of the lotta brass bowls
    or be envious of those who do shiite;
    for before you know it -their ass will be grass,
    like green plants they will soon die away.

    You just trust in the Lord and do good;
    rest yuhself, and keep a low profile.
    Focus on righteousness, and not albino-centricity
    and you will be happy as shiite…

    Reparations shiite!!
    Right now Bushie is actually FEELING for, …and praying for dem fellows hear?
    – as the MASSIVE price that they will be FORCED to pay for their brassbowlery becomes clearer and clearer… It will be DREAD inna Babylon.

    But your ‘reparations’ is like if you catch a fellow who just commit murder and rape, and instead of handing him over to the police and court for trial and hanging, …you decide to give him a sound spanking…
    Wuh we got certain politicians that may actually enjoy getting the spanking – even more than doing the rape and murder.

    But perhaps you can handle the role…
    Not sure about Sir Cave though…
    Murduh!!!

  43. 5th Sutra of the Aquarian Age:

    The Creator and the Creation are one
    This master key magic meditation mantra unlocks the entire cosmos

    Reparations is the master key to end racism
    The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, has described reparatory justice for colonialism, enslavement and the trade in enslaved Africans as “key to dismantling systemic racism.”

    (The only thing opposing reparations is racism)

  44. Brassbowl party ?

    @THE BLOGMASTER

    “The reparations debate didn’t start with Mottley, it didn’t start with native Indians in the USA, it didn’t start with the native Indians in Canada…”

    LET ME NOT TOUCH THE QUESTION OF THE ASHKENAZIS* AS I WILL TEND TO BE TOO SCATHING IN MY LANGUAGE – so I will park that flying-saucer over there…

    My anatomical “GENUS” is “HISTORY” – (UN-whitewashed & free from the “TAINT” of #AlbinoCentric “SOPHISTRY”, “LIES” & “ONGOING INTRIGUE”)!!!

    History shows the “2nd PUNIC WAR” in 201 BC, the Carthaginians paid “10,000 TALENTS OF SILVER” to Rome over a 50-year period – a practice that formalized “REPARATIONS” – as a tool 4 subjugation & economic control…

    The historical legacy of REPARATIONS* has evolved from punitive war indemnities to “RESTORATIVE JUSTICE” for human rights violations!!!

    THE KEY MILESTONES INCLUDE –

    #WWI

    The Treaty of Versailles imposed massive “REPARATIONS ON GERMANY”, which contributed to an “ECONOMIC DEPRESSION” & “POLITICAL TURMOIL”!!!

    #WWII

    The “REPARATIONS” concept shifted to include “MORAL” & LEGAL” obligations to victims, notably through the 1952 Luxembourg Agreement (WHICH I MENTIONED EARLIER), where West Germany paid #IsraHELL* & “ASHKENAZI-Jewry survivors…

    Within the modern context, “REPARATIONS” are now advocated for “SLAVERY”, “COLONIALISM” & HISTORICAL INJUSTICES”, such as the 1988 Civil Liberties Act providing compensation to #JapaneseAmericans interned during #WWII…

    In #AMERIKKKA, the debate intensified with General William Tecumseh Sherman’s 1865 Special Field Orders No. 15 which decreed (“40 ACRES & A MULE”), that was revoked by then Prez Andrew Johnson, establishing a foundational legacy of broken promises!!!

    Early claims include #BelindaRoyall’s “1783 PENSION” & #HenriettaWood’s “1878 COURT VICTORY”, while modern movements focus on systemic inequality & debt relief for affected nations…

    SO BRUH, CLEANING UP THE “FILTH” & “JOBBY” OF THE PAST IS A HERCULEAN EFFORT* THAT WILL NO FINALITY THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN

    Money may pay a small price, but no one can borrow from past (HISTORY), by dragging amelioration & true justice into the present or the future, which remains a (MYSTERY), in the hope that any wounds will “EVER” heal!!!

    Again, my 5 cents worth

  46. PAKISTANI ACTRESS JAMEELA JAMIL HAS CRETED A FIRESTORM IN BRITAIN BY SAYING THAT “British people are “TRULY” the most evil people in history” – SPARKING A BACKLASH FROM ALL QUARTERS OVER HER INCINDIARY COMMENTS – WHICH OF COURSE, IS 100% CORRECT (GIVEN THE HISTORICAL LEGACY)

    She also argue that Britain owes India “TRILLIONS” in REPARATIONS*!!!

    I’ll let her explain in the “shorts” VT

    https://www.youtube.com/shorts/EMv2bE_jRsw

  47. So TB the takeaway from your last comment is that, not only Caribbean and Caricom governments are fighting for reparations (restorative justice)?

  48. @The Blogmaster

    This “SUBJECT” is growing “SERIOUS TEETH”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    WHY???

    “1st WORLD NATION STATES” are reading the handwriting on the wall (NOTABLY, INDIA*) who is owed TRILLIONS*!!!

    If war continues in the “STRAIT OF HORMUZ” & now, in “BAB EL MANDEB” – we are “ABSOLUTELY SCREWED”!!!

    Don’t take my word

  49. I have always thought it silly to attempt to squeeze blood from a stone.

    Just because others have a different idea does not make it any less silly.

    Think of Western governments as stones about to crumble. Under the weight of their own misdeeds, of course.
