The FBI is investigating the death of George Floyd, black man who was pinned on the neck by a police officer and later died in custody. Minnesota’s Attorney General Keith Ellison joins The Beat with Ari Melber’s breaking coverage on the latest from the FBI and the protests. While the officers involved have yet to be charged, Ellison argues a “quick arrest” might “make people feel better about justice” it is “important” for investigators to “take the time to make sure that these charges, if they are brought forward, stick.

    The ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, says Moscow has taken note of the use of tear gas to disperse rallies and massive arrests of protesters in the U.S. She also pointed out numerous journalists, including Russian reporters, were hurt while covering the protests.

    Moscow long has bristled at Washington’s criticism of its human rights record amid Russia-U.S. tensions. Zakharova sought to turn the tables on the U.S. by pointing to the authorities forceful response to protests.

    She says “it’s time for the U.S. to drop the mentor’s tone and look in the mirror,” challenging the U.S. authorities to “start respecting peoples’ rights and observing democratic standards at home.”

    A US President and an almost unanimous political establishment morally championed the rights and freedoms of millions when they joined the fight against Nazi oppression … they helped liberate France and the others in Europe, saved the UK and all the other wholesome rightousness associated with victory of WWII.

    Bro, you know that despite that wholesome morality, thousands of Black men who were heros in that fight were denied the same freedoms they fought to uphold on return to the same US…. they then had to FIGHT again to simply eat at a ‘free’ lunch counter or even to piss in the right bathroom….many with medals adorning their chest were spat on and treated with the worst disdain.

    It isnt going to end Hants and there are three reasons one is they have a march driven by a lot of over privileged ( lot of white) kids burning down black businesses and screwing up the infrastructure in there area where they were getting ahead and everybody thinks its ok because they chant black lives matter or hands up don’t shoot ., second is the breakup of the family unit that no-one wants to discuss, wealth is easier to make in numbers in a strong household , third which applies to Barbados a lot of people don’t like to work Wednesdays because it screws up both weekends.

    Trump is moving forward.

    His stance on abortion sends the clear message that ALL LIVES MATTER.

    The 44 miliion black white, Hispanic etc Americans who are missing from the workforce will be missed.

    So the need to instill “BLACK LIVES MATTER” in BLACK MOTHERS (AND FATHERS!!) is imperative.

    If the message that “ALL LIVES MATTER” gets across, America should be even better.

    That has always been a socio-economic phenomenon from the dawn of history.

    The determining factor is that “single digit” of the population was always representative of the racial make-up of the ‘majority’ population of that country.

    Can the same be said of Bim where a completely reverse situation seems to prevail in which a ‘single digit’ of the ethnic minorities controls the vast majority of the wealth of the country and where the vast majority of the population is woefully under-representative in the wealth ownership sphere but clearly dominant in the realm of electoral participation.

    There must be another elephant in the room.

    Anyhow, two substantive queries/comments….. 1.What’s this new level of absurd non-speak by WHO and indirectly the Brit govt who will now MANDATE masks on public transport….. reports outta England say that WHO recently “advised to wear masks not only on buses and trains but also wherever physical distancing may be hard”…. BUT the same WHO has given MIXED MESSAGES on this – apparently (according to them) – “because of limited evidence that they offer[ed] protection”.

    HOW does that narrative make SENSE if medical professionals have been wearing face coverings for years to protect THEM and THEIR patients from similar air borne issues! There is AN underlying narrative that is troubling and needs to be fleshed out fully… stop this nonsensical pandering and confusion….. Particularly, when there is another clear narrative which says that masks are vital as a first line of protection.

    2.Does anyone really understand that a US President and AG ACTUALLY convened a team of unidentifiable (no insignia was worn) fully armed, federal operatives to stand against the citizens of the US!!!!!….. STOP and understand that when we read very REAL declassified reports of long past US Black-Ops one part that often is not redacted (one assumes it seems so innocuous) is the verification that such operatives do NOT wear insignia: if they are caught there is implied deniability!
