De ole man was tempted to write a long ass article bout Mugabe, citing all de unconscionable tings she has perpetrated against Bajans since May 24 2018, de Constitution changes, (1) de nepotism in knighting she fadder, (2) de thievery of $27 million from bajans under this White Oaks scam, (3) de 26 ministers in parliament and (4) 33 other RH immoral and some might say, illegal acts of Mugabe, but de ole man won’t write bout dem!
De ole man was even tempted to write down Mugabe Swiss Bank Account numbers or the name of the local bank used to *** but de ole man won’t mention them!
De ole man stopped and pondered and said to meself, “meself this information is not important for the people, NOR WOULD THE OTHER RH SHEEPLE be interested.”
De ole man therefore decided to  write about  DISSENT, in general, and patriotism, Love of Barbados, in particular.
DE OLE MAN WILL USE THIS ARTICLE TO SHOW TO ALL READERS HOW DISSENT IS SEEN AS NON PATRIOTIC IN BARBADOS.
In the view of this government, when there is a voice that speaks out loudly about this administration’s continuous string of despotic actions, their customary response is “The Legend OR DISSIDENT “X”, is guilty of High Treason because he is consistently seeking to highlight our  government’s despotism”
First it was Depeiza from the Fumbles crew, now its Mugabe, and her Rented Jackasses speaking about destabilization.
Few understand that our Fight for Country  has a “price” and the fact is that, even fewer give a RH.
Any dissenter lives in perpetual danger because our VOICE is rarely seen as the voice of reason, a voice crying from the wilderness, most consider you a troublemaker.
in fact, dissenters are often verbally abused heheheheh, by government sycophants and poochlickers, persued under mutual assistance treaties, and of course there is their Burn Notice
To effect the latter has its risks, and repercussions, on foreign soil but, since Mugabe realises that de ole man ent got no intention of ceasing the fight against her dictatorship aspirations well…heheheheh … already showed the black SUV pictures to ***)
So why does The Legend continue?
Why should any dissenter continue to face her persecution, the attendant verbal assaults and “final solutions”?
De ole man will tell wunna why.
For some of us citizens, WE WILL ALWAYS BE SOLDIERS against injustice and True Patriots.
When we see how wicked this so called “servant of the people” is, in perpetrating suffering against the average bajan, WHILE SHE GETS FAT LIKE A TRANSPORT BOARD BUS, we recognize that, barring illegal options, (options which ARE NOT PART OF THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS DE OLE MAN WILL SUPPORT),  there is but one legal way to remove a despot and dictator, THROUGH THE BALLOT BOX!!
and for there to be “informed Ballot Box action”, THERE MUST BE PROACTIVE DISCUSSION, AND DISSEMINATION, of “what is going on” in Barbados, euphemism for “the voice of dissent” BY ANY MEDIA AVAILABLE.
and we dissidents are aware that,  BECAUSE  OF THIS DISSENT, Mugabe has invoked her “High Treason” representations, in the Constitution of Barbados , and to the Government of the United States.
Fellow Bajans, (and that includes my ardent supporters Hee Hee, Hee Haw and Boring Goerring) this struggle, one  in which there are a few “dissidents”, is NOT going to be easy.
Success is NOT GUARANTEED, but WE PATRIOTS, CANNOT FAIL!!!
We few warriors must understand what our job is. We who love country CANNOT FAIL, else we will be responsible for the establishment  of “Mugabe – Dictator Absolu”
and IF WE ARE TO BE TRUE TO OUR PLEDGE to our flag and country, we MUST each engage in fighting for a less unjust society, ONE WHICH MUGABE IS NOT IN.
De ole man realises that her agents going seek to change up dem words to make it seditious BUT I BEG YOU ALL TO UNDERSTAND, this opposition only means to vote Mugabe out in 2023!!
WE EACH MUST live up to our moral charge and responsibility to fore parents, our children, grandchildren and citizens yet to be born, and what is right for our country!!!
God has been kind to our Nation, Mugabe IS NOT KIND, and never will be!!!
From May 24th Mugabe Mottley has shown us that she is only interested in herself BUT, if we love BIM, EVERY BAJAN MUST BE PREPARE TO VOTE SUCH DESPOTISM OUT OF PARLIAMENT IN 2023!

  1. @David, traditional media is very compromised by the commercial agenda. Too many have rented, leased or rented their conscience. I have much hope with the restless millennials who are militant who will accept nothing but good governance while holding no political loyalty.

  2. Stop being distracted by wicked games.

People are on Medical Marijuana Barbados talking about turf wars if the Rasta Community are allowed to build a marijuana empire to benefit the Black majority, how the minority criminals who were allowed to control the illegal drugs/guns/cocaine trades will cause more murders…

    BUT

the real turf war is going on right under bajan’s noses by those who plan to steal the water supply..and bajans don’t even know it, don’t know the dangers they arein with these beasts.

you are being distracted by Mia’s shite that is going nowhere….fast.

  3. From May 24 Mia never hide the fact that she would change the landscape of Barbados
Her gallivanting of rebranding Barbados is nothing more than an opitcial illusion made up of smoke and mirrors
Btw did the bahamian recovery effort receive the 500hundred thousand plus govt 500hundred thousand matching
    Waiting to see the check

  4. @Kammie

    So true.

We have idiots on the blog who lack the ability to understand there is nothing wrong with complimenting a particular approach by the PM and at the same times be critical of others.

  5. Mariposa..ya may have missed it, but there was a media presentation where a check was passed on for the Bahamas hurricane relief efforts…that much we saw. Bahamas would have to be the one to say they did not receive any.

It has been noted by the FB crowd that Bahamas’ little PM thanked other islands for their efforts except for Barbados, won’t doubt if it is an oversight on his part….being part of the dumb leader brigade in the Caribbean and all.

  6. The Prime Minister Ms. Mottley articulated on behalf of all small island developing states, Caricom, especially Bahamas post Dorian, and our country Barbados with respect to sustainable development in the face of the climate change crisis. (Quote)

In 2001, the Arthur Government, in which the current president was deputy leader, published a 125-page policy document on climate change. Since then we have had 18 years of DLP and BLP governments, including 16 months of a Mottley government. Anyone who has no read that document should read it.
If we were to take that document, and compare it with a transcript of the president’s speech to the United Nations, together they make good reading.
However, if looked at critically, they amount to waffle. It is fine getting on a global platform giving an unscripted speech, arms flaring, speaking passionately like a pentecostal preacher, with your fans singing your praises.
But politics is about policy, changing society for the better, and in 18 years of government and Opposition the BLP should have had the outline of a climate change policy to implement within days of coming to power.
Further, a week ago on Friday young people in 139 of the 200 odd member states of the United Nations marched in protest of climate change – but not a single one in Barbados.
At the very least our president, or either of the minsters of education (Ms Bradshaw or that unelected woman Ms Moe) should have instructed schools to at the very least spend that Friday teaching about climate change. Nothing.
We must separate the background noise from the reality. As I have said before, the president is not as clever as she and her fans think she is; she obviously does not like details; and is to my mind using the highest office in the land to build her reputation.
    It will end in tears.

  7. You should have told her at the Town Hall in London. Your critique would have taken on a more credible feel.

  8. i must say MAM is doing a splendid PR job. and some say, because of that, as PM, she is worth more and some say she is worth less

  9. David BU suprise that you actually posted tbis garbage from a man who continuously disrepect you on your own blog. This jackass probably realising that few on here takes him seriously getting desperate to try to remove still popular leader to replaced them with who?.The lost Dems led by two losers, the UPP, Solutions, or wait let me guess his latest big thing the PDP led by a man who won his seat under the BLP and who refused to go back to his people for a new mandate. Why because he cannot win any seat on his own strength. Therefore Piece you got more chance of making up with the other shitetalker Waru than Rev Atherley or Mr Franklyn who seems to like grandstanding before the cameras in the senate winning any seat in the house. Therefore your 18 to 12 prediction going up in smoke come 2023 not one damn sest for them. This government inherited a bad situation mainly through poor policies of the previous government and it will take years to recover.

As is expected when there is no reasonable defence you attack the individual

All of you are so fvucking predictable

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

… an example of the pot calling the kettle black or is this some deep insight to which we are being treated?

  11. @ Hal
You are talking pure nonsense! You forgot that Barbados was only discovered a few months ago. How then could there be anything about climate change or anything else been done in the last thirty years? You need to stop misrepresenting people and stick to the facts. Next thing you would me saying is that Erskine Sandiford went before some international body and read something called An Ode in honour of earth or the environment.
Your obvious intention of trying to make people believe that anybody saying anything about our country at present was around twenty five or thirty years ago is just unfair. To even suggest that they knew anything about any of the problems is a wicked attempt to undermine the country.
The same way you writing nonsense about we had a national bank and sold it. How could a country that has only been in existence for a few months ever have a national bank?
You are one of those Bajans living overseas that just talking pure nonsense. It’s about time BU stop publishing anything you write. You are not even giving the country time to gain independence and get its own flag and anthem.

  12. Kammie

I am not aware of the Glyne Clarke comment but when is asking men to play a roll/greater roll in the lives of their children a condemnation of men?
Obviously Charles Griffith was to referring to “Good Non Threateningly Supportive Fathers”

See what the former PM said below and he was/is a man of status.

    https://barbadostoday.bb/2018/02/15/bteditorial-absent-fathers-hurt-society/

  13. @ William

Have you noticed the blog’s main clown coming out with his usual nonsense. My apologies for thinking there was a Barbados before May 2018. My mistake. Oh, I also live overseas, so I have jettisoned my Bajan identity. I forgot. Who do I think I am?

  14. “Therefore your 18 to 12 prediction going up in smoke come 2023 not one damn sest for them. This government inherited a bad situation mainly through poor policies of the previous government and it will take years to recover.”

..and not ONE DAMN SEAT for yall either…grandstanding at the UN with SHITE TALK…dont win any elections when ya own people are STARVING UNDER YOUR AUSTERITY…which both corrupt governments helped create..only fools will be impressed AT STALE AIR.

…yall will never learn that’s why ya GOTTA GO.,

  15. Chances if you had the courage to ask the PM question at the Town Hall in London you would have been huffed. Now we will never know.

LOL…at the Blogmaster… you can be quite effectively (intentionally too I presume) amusingly provocative !

Your 8:30 AM to @Austin linked to your 8:12AM : “We have idiots on the blog who lack the ability to understand there is nothing wrong with complimenting a particular approach [… or comment] and at the same times be critical of others” is one such provocation of amusing proportions!

Do you really believe that many folk whether @Austin or others have NOT directly critiqued the PM …surely you jest bigly…I presume your was a backhanded compliment to the blogger 🤣!

And @Austin, politics is life writ large so at its base it MUST and WILL always be about policy proposals…but what REALLY drives the electorate is the aura/dynamism/fandom of the politician. Ms Mottley is one of the absolute best political animals of our landscape at controlling that public aura of assured dynamsm. She does that as well as any of the big political figures of the last many years like Thatcher or Reagan or a DeGaulle, or a Manley did; or Trump, Johnson or Rowley does now.

I disagree with you completely: Mia Mottley is absolutely very clever…she is clearly moving forward with HER desired agenda programs and her army of advisors and ministers are enacting the policy prescriptions SHE champions…she will adopt the statesman aura and bamboozle us to her reelection (undeserved thus far).

To analyse her as not clever is a very difficult to understand assessment…it is as misguided as labelling Trump or Johnson as simplistic buffons…the lady is currently without equal (politically) locally and too it seems regionally!

Like her or hate her…let’s be clear on that!

  18. The fact she is not clever clearly enticed him to attend the London Town Hall.

Here is a man who is a retired journalist supposedly at a reputable media outlet, his comments can be read all over social media mainly of a critical flavour about the state of Barbados affairs and wait for it – he attended a town hall meeting where one of the people he has been very critical was in attendance AND he had the opportunity to pose questions. What did he do?

    Credibility has to be earned.

He comes and BU and direct uncomplimentary references at the blogmaster, however, as the blogmaster is inclined to do from time to time he cannot handle the return.

    Tough!

Re @John and “… an example of the pot calling the kettle black or is this some deep insight to which we are being treated” in response to “As is expected when there is no reasonable defence you attack the individual…All of you are so fvucking predictable”

I need not fight any battles for @Pieces but I am moved to question your FACTS…I have not read the blogger @Pieces denigrate or attack ANYONE here WITHOUT stating clearly his rationale for the attack.

He does get down and dirty when he attacks for sure but it’s one thing to fight venomously when a battle is started based on identified misdeeds (right or wrong) and quite another to attack venemously simply because you disagree with an opinion and have no reasonable defense!

To bring it home to your listening pleasure over last few days (surely): its absurd and “fvucking predictable” for your boys in US to denigrate the CIA whistleblower when they have no defense to the shocking actions of the person’s complained about!

    I gone.

  20. Dribbler

i agree with the latter part of that. Contrary to what a lot of people may think she is great on a mike. she performs well. that is her forte. she may not have any follow thru but on the mike she has no equal in Bim and perhaps in the region. maybe she needs to re think her other activities and stick to the mike

  21. Being CLEVER…and being CONNIVING …are poles apart…one does not have to be the former to implement the later.

As some of us have seen from day 1….it is only the latter being implemented because the former does not exist….and it’s just a matter of time before it becomes evident..that you are being INUNDATED by distractions…to HIDE REALITY.

  22. I would say we need to look at the issues we had prior to May 25th and see what has improved or hasn’t so here goes.

    MAY25TH:

    Garbage piled up

    Water problems

    A shortage of buses

    Sewage on the streets

    Hardly any foreign exchange

Overtaxed (as stated by Mia not me)

    Unmanageable foreign debt.

    Printing of money

    No economic growth.

    Corruption

    Grade given: 30-0 AND F

WHAT HAS CHANGED AS OF TODAY:

    Sewage now goes in sea

    Even higher taxation

    An economy in recession

A default with no debt service

Higher reserves but no Fx debt service for over 18 months so false reserve level.

Bert introduced and no growth plan

A new customs program that has ground the port to a basic halt.

Not a single charge laid against any for alleged corruption in 18 months, at least not in Barbados. LOL

So based on facts and not yardfowlism, not only are most of the problems of May 25th 2018 still we us, but we managed to add a few more to the list.

My question therefore is when will we see an improvement on the above matters from this massive cabinet? When will a growth plan be introduced? When when when.

I leave you all to grade the BLP on their performance to date but will end by asking one question.

If not them who should we put in? ISO the one man band. Atherley who with his band has failed miserably as an opposition in focusing on any major issues, or Verla and her battered political group of cadavers.

All at wunna to tell me now as i waiting to hear.

  23. de pedantic Dribbler Avatar

@Greene…I would suggest you reevaluate your assessment of “she may not have any follow thru …”.

Let me state simply and clearly : I am NOT an acolyte of Ms Mottley or a fan just as I was not a Thompson acolyte or fan of Stuart or Arthur. However I respected the political acumen of them all…

That said let’s get to the realities.

Mia Mottley (as far as I know) “followed thru” big time with the expensive project (boondoggle, some may label it) called EduTech . That sir was one of the most massive (cost wise) changes to our system at the time.

Mia Mottley “followed thru” to catspraddle her opponents with the problems challenging her leadership by Maria Agard and the big one between she and Arthur and then with Payne…

She “followed thru” in upending our constitution to get the Senatorial appointments she wanted.

Big or small…she absolutely follows through!

ANYONE who underestimates her ability at the granular level of pressing the details is either a poor analyst or simply misdirecting … my experiences over the years with this lady tells me that she is a FORMIDBLE opponent in close fights and details follow through as well as a collussus before the mike.

As I said, like her or not (as with Trump) you betta respect her abilities and come properly armed to tussle with her…. She ain’t no sweet bread!

  24. The yardfowls will tell ya however…

that paying white HOAX..54 million dollars and 85 thousand US a month:

    to STARVE PENSIONERS..

    to STARVE THE DISABLED..

to STARVE THOSE WHO ARE NOT GETTING ANY WELFARE CAUSE THAT TOO WAS CUT….not sure if it has been restarted…

    to STARVE THE AVERAGE BAJAN..

is progress and an IMPROVEMENT…and how well the economy is doing..

then they will JUMP out and PROUDLY BOAST..what a great job white HOAX is doing….and that bajans never had it so good, all the while they have a GROWING homeless population …WHO ARE STARVING TOO.

they will never see that AUSTERITY = STARVATION & SUFFERING for the most vulnerable..what do their care, they already wrote off 1 billion dollars in VAT their friends stole from the people, they already wrote off hundreds of millions of dollars their friends and family EVADED in taxed…

and not one of them can tell ya how long this White Hoax starvation of the populi will last….it will soon be 2 years…don’t blink.

  25. “All at wunna to tell me now as i waiting to hear.”

it will be figured out…as long as we have ALL of them WANDERING AROUND …OUTSIDE.. the parliament …with no foothold..

sick and tired of useless, uppity negros….who will never be fit for purpose..

  26. @ Wura

Yes We know the fowls will cluck but remember I asking for facts in a discussion not yardfowlism and fiction. Plus I don’t want to hear bout no promises of grandeur in the future either. What I want is a cold analysis based solely on facts since May 25th till now. No excuses, no ifs or buts or nothing so! No we thought A or B would of happen nothing so either! Just facts and delivery only.

  27. Ah wonder if they realize yet…that with their bloated cabinet…they could have starved the people themselves and instead use the obscene amounts they are paying white hoax to buy BUSES and GARBAGE TRUCKS..

am sure they would have had millions left over after those purchases…if they did not tief it themselves..

  28. @John A

Do politicians ever give cold analysis? What about the educated class, the independents on the Hill and other places. This analysis you are searching for should be delivered from different sources to inform quality conclusions to inform people action.

  29. John A……Mia needs to be dragged back down to earth…cause they feel everyone is their stupid yardfowls and they delusionally believe they are impressing people who can THINK FOR THEMSELVES..

  30. Too many yardfowls at UWI…the ones who are not OWNED by government are OWNED by criminal minorities…making them bought and paid for house negros…they are just as useless to the people as are both governments…

…rudderless negros who do not know WHO they are nor WHERE they came from…LOVE being OWNED..

  31. Miller wrote:
Blogmaster, you cannot afford to talk about the ‘real’ dangers of climate change, especially to small island developing states (SIDS) like Barbados primarily due to the exorbitant use of fossil-based fuels humans currently use to ‘fuel’ the modern economy of convenience while from the other side of the same anti-oil mouth seek to grandstand about striking profitable alliances with entities keen on the further exploration and exploitation of regional oil-well bearing opportunities.

The well credentialed and well respected Princeton University physics professor William Happer PhD says that going by the historical record the world is now in a CO2 famine. He says plants first evolved at a time when there was much more CO2 in the atmosphere and therefore it is a well understood fact that plants grow significantly better today and produce better yields when there is more atmospheric CO2 available to promote photosynthesis.

Professor Happer discounts the possibility that increased atmospheric carbon dioxide caused by burning fossil fuels causes any significant increase in global temperatures due to the logarithmic nature of CO2 caused temperature increases. I.e., Happer maintains we would have to double the current content of atmospheric CO2 to gain just a 1 degree increase in temperature. We would then have to double the CO2 content once more to obtain another 1 degree increase. He describes the current preoccupation with cutting CO2 emissions as another “mass hysteria event”.

Oh dear! What have you gone and done to the poor Asstin which should force him to take a much deserved break from BU?

We will miss the funny bugger behind his contrasting Jekyll & Hyde intellectual mask.

Now whom should we appoint to fill the ‘critic in the BU rum shop’ role so ably performed by the north London version of the comically acerbic Statler and Waldorf?

“Enuff”, your nemesis Hal has been ‘fired’ by the Blogmaster right on the BU version of the “Apprentice”; are you looking for a job?

  33. The cold, harsh REALITY IS…Bajans are being STARVED on a daily basis, so that the island does not suffer another downgrade…that is all white HOAX has achieved so far…..and to add insult to injury Mia’s uppity fake proefessor told the international creditors in no uncertain terms that they ain’t getting their money anytime soon…so they too can STARVE……paying them is not part of the conniving plan…but starving Bajans and international creditors is…

ah DARE one yardfowl to tell me differently..

  36. David
Re White Oak based on recent comments by Minister Straughn and the PM, the foreign debt conclusion seems imminent.

  37. I am at lost when people takes Mia gallivanting as a good thing at a time when barbadains need her at home and the economy of barbados needs strong fiscal guidance

  38. @ac
“the economy of barbados needs strong fiscal guidance”
thank you for my Sunday comedy moment
Didn’t this ever strike you in the period of 2013-2018? And did having the then MoF ‘on the ground at home’ make one iota of difference?

  39. John A
Could you please comprehensively quantify the higher taxation? When faced with the streets or sea (if true) what do you prefer as a medium term solution?
Has the port ground to halt and what is the usual experience for countries introducing ASYCUDA world?
Wuh yuh caant repair in months, what people mash up in years!

  40. @ Enuff

Wait you living abroad or what?

  41. @ David.

That is an excellent question where are those that are suppose to analyse such things? I see in the USA they are independent commentators who measure the achievements of a government free of Bias.

They are consumer confidence reports, market analysis by Bloomberg and a host of others that offer cold analytical data supported by facts. Here we can’t even get the RH press to research anything far less the useless opposition.

Also doesn’t UWI have a faculty of economics, or are they frighten if they open their mouth that they will lose grant money?

David your point sadly is true and that is why nonesence statements go out as facts as no one ever breaks them down for the general public. My favourite one so far is below.

” we will continue of a path of austerity while encouraging growth” HUN?

  42. Enuff is a long distance yardfowl…she is not there to see the suffering of Bajans first hand, nor does she care, she is only interested in long distance yardfowling..

And outside those personal culinary habits it can also be noted that all of the ‘great’ politicians did some of their best work in front a mic…Clinton (the man), Adams, Barrow, Eric Williams, Manley, Arthur etc etc.

Don Blackman of course was never first among equals on our political scene but some would definitely consider him to be the standard of doing awesome best work before the public at the mic … to circle back to my opening… he made oratory akin to a tasty ice cream treat : blissfully pleasurable.

    Just saying!

  44. Well come for a week put gas in you hired car, pay you room rate and look at all they new taxes and if you got time offer to pay a family member land tax bill. When you leaving don’t forget the departure tax cause that gone up nuff too.

You already know that an article like this, attacking the Rogue, is not going to sit too well with the bought lot. Imagine when the Cunt Stuart was doing shite. They enjoyed you and embrace you like a true patriot. The Posters and commentary were acceptable towards a piss poor party that pissed on bajans and the economy. Now that this Rogue, this same Rogue who lambasted the DLP for operating in the night;this same Rogue who bought to the public’s awareness, the nasty dealings of the DLP; this same Rogue who criticised the DLP as Corrupt, is the same Rogue who refuses to open an investigation against them, and is the same Rogue who allowed the report she wrote as PAC chairman to die a natural death because it is now all about evidence. The stinking BLP shites who are obligated to defend, see it as a ‘blasphemy’ to speak ill about the Mottley Rogue, so we must embrace her doings as expedient and serving a useful base. Ignore them sweetie, and press on. Time will prove Mottley a Rogue as well as a Mugabe. I wishfully hope, that time prove you and I wrong about her and she presents herself as an astute leader beyond all others that have passed. I waiting patiently.

  46. @John A

Until the educated class step up and so what educated people are meant to do we will continue to cede our civic responsibilities to the political class. We will continue to be uninformed. We will continue to black cats in a dark room.

  47. @ John A

Also think-tanks. Think cowardice, people scared of losing their jobs; think lack of confidence in one’s own ability. Silence is an act of the coward.

  48. Are the political class educated?

  49. What has been unravelling in Barbados compares to similar developments across the globe read a disillusionment with the political class by ordinary citizens. The rise of political leaders not because of their intelligence/acumen- they represent a rejection of the establishment. We debate our issues in a fish bowl without factoring the causal factors which are many. We have to become a thinking society.

  50. @ Hal.

Yes the think tanks are absent. Maybe everyone too afraid to think out loud you think?

It is a cancer though that has spread through even those that are suppose to dissect and enlighten the public. I remember the days of Barrow and Adams when moves by government were broken down and discussed. Today it seems the opposition there to draw a salary, the press there to advertise fetes and the public are left to drink what ever Koolaid is served. Plus God help if you ask too many questions you anti party!

Well let me be anti party then and pro state!

The blogmaster invites you to join the discussion.
