Th historically passive Bajan continues to explore non violent tactics to express disapproval to the myriad of concerns prevailing our once small proud country. With the emergence of technology and along with it the exponential growth of social media, two BU regulars have come up with the idea to create posters to graphically detail our concerns and to use social media as a vehicle to communicate those concerns.

Here are a few posters which have been created so far by Sunshine Sunny Shine and pieceuhderockyeahright and one other. BU posted a couple to Twitter under the hashtag #bajanswantchange. All creative Barbadians are encouraged to create posters and post to social media platforms using the hashtag #bajanswantchange or any other which resonates with the theme. What should be the motivation? A functional democracy calls for all citizens to participate 24/7. Once every five years is disengagement by any definition.

    I wonder if readers here understand why you would commit 3 days to this?

    Clicking redo and undo buttons, clicking buttons, applying features, testing and forgetting to save, I spent 3 hours doing one item and being new to that non standard platform, I forgot to safe.

    Blank Slates are hardest but if you rely on what the community calls the leveraging of open source data, newspapers, radios, Internet tv broadcast target websites. OSINT & HUMINT, your people on the ground.

    You must however learn a little from Colonel Buggy.

    There is a class of poster audience for whom the studied discourse about integrity is lost so, if we going be effective we going have to mix it up.

    The same way you and talk to Walter PPK and mix it up with Legion, when you slip in that in your output my dearest, you will have arrived and right then I will be coming to your school in Europe.

    Barbadian Activist Artaxerxes comments that “The Democratic Labour Party claimed it selected a team of CLEAN, CARING, COMPETENT and COMMITTED politicians who have SIGNED on to a CODE of CONDUCT, that promises Good Governance.” [DLP Manifesto page 46] YET the following list a few of its Ministers’ Code of Ethics actions under said CODE THEY SIGNED

    1).Michael Carrington ALLOWED to REMAIN as Speaker of the House, after the court ruled in favour of his former client, whose funds he deliberately withheld.

    2).Denis Lowe REMAINS as Environment Minister after Stuart admitted there were “procedural mis-steps” in the NCC retrenchment process.

    3).Michael Lashley allowed to remain as Transport Minister, after causing Transport Board employees to stage industrial action when he attempted to employ his niece “through the back door.”

    4).Both Lowe and Lashley engaging in clear conflict of interest activities by driving vehicles owned by a company that repairs SSA trucks and TB buses.

    5).Denis Kellman is still Housing Minister after admitting to employing his nephew’s wife at NHC while adamant that she was connected to him in any way.

    6).Minister David Estwick’s and possible “financial infelicities” at BWA new headquarters as revealed by the 2015-2016 Auditor General’s Report.
