  1. Tiger should have watched and learned from David Letterman.

  2. depressing very depressing indeed.Only
1000 tickets sold for the cricket match
    Zimbawa vs. WestIndies.

  3. Sandy lane xx1x Gold Cup. Lot of interesting horses featured. I am keeping
an eye on Preach To Me.

  4. say it ain’t so West Indies goes down to defeat by the hands of Zimbawa. How worse can it get?

  5. HEE HAW!

Seems like Bajans are finally getting all excited. However people are complaining about the price of tickets. and the not so good seating conditions at the turf club. Since i am a working stiff i share their concern. Having said that i would be enjoying watching my favourite win and taking home some winings
myself.Tommorow I”ll give my favourite picks. Lucky You!Bythe way
that is going to be the name of my racing horsewhen I purchase it.

  6. heavean help us! the not so lousy Zimbawa cricket team sock it to the real lousy Westindies team again

  7. So, performance exhibits the management by WICB. Nuff said.

And do not give me that ‘they aint out there playing rubbish’.

This is just the culmination of abysmal management for the past ten years.

The amazing thing is, after reaching what fans thought was ‘bottom’, they have KEPT DIGGING!

    RIP WINDIES CRICKET.

I shall remember the days of Roberts, Holdings, Garner, Croft with Greenidge, Haynes, Richards, Lloyd and Murray, then Marshall, Amborse and Walsh, with Chanderpaul and Lara.

Remember the stories of Kanhai and Rowe etc etc…

This management and team is absolutely .iss poor.

@ ac ‘depressing very depressing indeed.Only

Wait till the rest of Windies matches happen. How many will sell? Ten?

  8. David,

Might it be a good idea to post a caption showing exactly who makes up the Windies Board?

By the way, to quote Botham ‘me mam could have done betta’.

  9. Oops, I mean Boycott.

  10. the main reason why the West Indies team has fallen apart over the years is systematic of what is evident when everybody has a big ego no one person has the team best interst at heart. It is like I am going to do whatever as an individual. That is a problem that coaching and board members can’t solve. Back when the West Indies were killer players the got little pay and played for the love of the game.

  11. I hope eveyone goes out and enjoy the fun and festivities today at the garrison.Great horses are in the lineup making it almost impossible to pick a winner.
    Here are my favourites.
    Areutalkintome Apostle Puretemptation Preachtome

  12. Chris Gayle is saying that the team should have a say in picking
    the venue where the play.

  13. Patrick Husbands BSS on Sterwins wins Gold cup again.

    Great Bajan jockey.

  14. Great job Patrick Congratulations!

  15. A true champion in every sense of the word, not to mention humble as a person. Well done Bowmile.

  16. For those who didn’t get to see it live (like me)

  17. I just cant stop watching this run from Husbands, even my growing up heroes Chally Jones or Pappy Richards, would have been impressed. Talking about timing a run !!

  18. @ Techie

Chally Jones sure was he gave a very good interview about the race.

  19. Yes it was a beautiful race from animal and jockey. This horse was always expected to run from behind but if you read the owners comments after the race even he thought Husbands left it too late. The animal is obviously class, when asked to produced he did, Husbands was so confident in the horse he said he threw away the whip.

  20. @ac…

I would love to see/hear that interview….oh the days of riding in the sheep pretending to be Chally….*sigh*….then I grew up to 6’3 225lbs….dreams of being a jockey replaced by basket ball, soccer and cycling.

    @ David…

A class horse and a top class jockey in a high class race. You just cant ask for better.

  21. @Techie

Are you involved in any of those sports professionally?

  22. Let see if the PM listen to champion jockey and invest in a new horse track. He is the kinda of personwho like to make unpopular decision 19m worth of them .Never knows but then again he mightstick his nose out just a little bit more.

  23. seems like the west indies team have finally found some mojo

  24. TRUE OR FLASE

  25. Let’s show some “LOVE” for the WestIndies team ,Recently they seem to be getting it right.Yeah I know zimbawee isn’t that great. Anyhow i give credit where credit is due.

  26. Yes it is true tiger is back in the swing of things starting april 8th playing the Masters.

  27. Tiger Woods wife lets him off the hook. She gives him the o.k. to swing the club again.
    Masters Please!

  28. Cricket fans. I hope you are following the progress of the next great opening batsman.

Kraigg Brathwaite is the real deal.

It is refreshing that there is a batsman coming along in an era
    20/20 swipers.

  29. @ac…

No, all the sports I am involved in are purely for recreation and fitness.

  30. Looks like Tino Best may be going to Yorkshire

    Are you surprised ac?

  35. @TECHNICIAN!
KINDA when the Tourisim Industry is always touting the influence and combination of Sports to the Industry. One would think that they would not have missed out on this opportunity .

  36. Not to be Tiger! Not to be !

  37. With all the excitement surrounding the various cricket events T20&ICC . People in the USA will get an opportunityto listen live daily coverage of the series on
radio provided Carribean Radioand the Line and length Network
This too should help to give Barbados and other hosting islands some additional exposure in these areas .

  38. Jamaican Usian Bolt dazzels the crowd in Philadelphia as he wins the men 4x100relay race.
Jamaican women Allison Felix placed second in the womens relay.
My question is why didn’t Barbados participate?

  41. West indies must win the two mor remaining matches against India and Australia to
win semifinals. They have already lost to Sri lanki. Sunday they have they work cut out for them. I am hoping their batting would show lots of improvement. Good LucK
West Indies. Make us proud today.

  42. Today the West indies have they work cut out for them.Determination is the keyto winning Lets see what the West Indies team bring today against Australia. Stay Focus keep the eye an the prize. Chris Gayle must step up to the plate.

  43. What can be said that haven’t been said before.West indies crumbled under the weight of Australia. The fans deserve better. A change has got to come!

  44. What do the vendors who were denied permission to sell their wares at Kensington a few weeks ago have in common with South African street vendors? Well the South African vendors were also told to make way for the official sponsors of the World Cup by FIFA.

The food and street vendors who have been plying their trade for years at various local football contests were told to give way to the Corporate sponsors like KFC, McDonalds and Coca Cola. If the vendors want to sell food they can’t set up shop less than 800 hundred metres from the stadium.

I like football, but it may be difficult to wave any flags.

  47. @MME

No problem with your football picks but to back Woods who has never come from behind even when he had his A-game is a long shoot even for you 🙂

  48. I agree with mme Tiger got’s game . .Has been showing his true spirit yesterday. I love what I see.

Two and a half outa four David… I claiming half marks for that stolen draw by New Zealand… LOL… is about time FIFA allow the use of cameras to improve ref. decision making. Fabiano handled the ball not once, but twice in the lead up to his second goal. True, it wouldn’t have changed the outcome of that game, but in the earlier game New Zealand ‘earned’ their draw with a huge offside goal… too many bad calls by officials… dey need to use de technology.
