I have read some articles on match fixing in professional soccer, apparently organised criminal elements operating mainly from China/Hong Kong and Russia have taken to the game like bears to honey. There was a major scandal in Germany around this subject which culminated in several arrests last year
This is a sport where a referee’s judgment call or a player’s nonchalance could affect the game’s outcome, additionally in the World Cup players from some of the poorer nations participating do not know how much money they will be paid but FIFA is raking in millions. So far two calls have made me go Uh Oh!!!! ….. The disallowed USA goal and the red card given to Kaka from Brazil.

That octopus picked all seven of Germany’s World Cup games correctly (including the losses to Serbia and Spain)… no small feat with 0.78% probability of random success… but this is the first time it has been asked to predict a non-German game, so there is hope yet.

I did back the Steelers whenn they played against the jets. However They came across wishy washy in the second half of the game almost giving up a big lead . Therefore i am left with the feeling that this team can be beaten.
