The fight against COVID 19 by countries across the globe is real. Barbados given its heavy dependence on tourism (services) is exposed more than some other countries. We are here now and we have to do all that we can to survive. The blogmaster predicted months ago the conversations will shift to finding ways to enforce mandatory vaccinations. It is a conversation currently taking place across the globe, including Barbados.

 

This week’s charts suggest that we might be at the start of a new wave that could last for months as was the case of the earlier 2021 waves in Jamaica, Guyana, T&T and St Lucia and with the added complication of the presence of the very virulent delta variant in the region. The signs that suggest otherwise are that the daily positivity charts are all at less than 5% over the past 3 weeks and that the Covid-19 teams are continuing their good work and that, despite the very high odds against, the aggressive work by the Authorities have so far resulted in fairly significant levels of vaccination take up. The ride will still be a rough one but everyone needs to do their part to conquer this insidious foe

    There is just not sufficient data available from acceptable sources to say anything about the ability of the Jab to prevent you getting sick.

    My experience with the flu shots I had when I was in the US 8-10 years ago is that after I had them the frequency of catching flu was reduced and the seriousness was also reduced.

    It would not surprise me if the same thing happened with the COVID jabs.

    How on earth did he reach that conclusion based on that “evidence”????

    Trump had special treatment as befits the POTUS and a drug for which he got special authorisation. The man had a TEAM watching and reacting 24/7.

    The man was near death! As was Boris Johnson, who changed course after his experience.

    And the vaccinated Texas Democrats?

    Asymptomatic or mild symptoms!

    And so I ask the question – is this a deliberate act to cause harm? He is not as stupid as the conclusion he just reached.

    People, mandatory vaccination to work is coming. The stage has already been set. All the big players responsible for making the decision i.e. BPSA, CMO, BAMP, Government have all locked step in letting fear rule them and will selectively follow and ignore the science they choose to achieve whatever their vaccinate every last man, woman and child goal. They, like the rest of the world will hide any statistics indicating otherwise. The only reason government delaying is because elections close and if they back the wrong horse they will be branded a totalitarian government and start loosing seats.

    What are our worker’s union view on this mandatory vaccination push, especially NUPW and BWU since their positions have the most weight? It seems they are purposely keeping quiet while they decide which side to pick.

    Nearly 100% vaccinated Israel is seeing a resurgence in COVID cases with protection against transmission already less than 40% just like Dr Geert Vanden Bossche said would happen if you have a vaccine that is good at preventing severe disease but poor at preventing infection and release it to the masses during and ongoing pandemic.

    The vaccines are getting worse very fast at preventing transmission but are currently still very good at preventing severe illness/death. Breakthrough infections will continue to escalate since strong variants will continue to emerge because of the vaccinated people will become true asymptomatic carriers acting as walking variant factories.

    Come fall/winter season, the current vaccines will probably be useless at slowing transmission the way things are going.

    This is why there is discussion about a booster shot. Do we have other vaccines where booster shots are required? Who are we blaming for the incidence of breakthrough infections and long haul?

    Vaccines only work for the variant they were designed for and the percentage efficacy will drop from that initial percentage the more the virus is allowed to mutate.

    We need to stop this focus on vaccines and futile effort at constant testing person and contacts and treating them as infected even if they have no symptoms.

    We need cheap, early outpatient treatment options, period. Once we have that, we can focus on only testing symptomatic, then contact trace the primary contacts and inform them to monitor themselves for symptoms so they can get the early outpatient treatment to significantly reduce the odds of them progressing. That is our only way out whether they realize it now or in December when they finally realize the vaccine is only a stopgap.

    you can’t expect perfection from an EXPERIMENTAL VACCINE…or whatever ya want to call it….during a rapidly mutating virus, ya should also NOT FORCE vaccinations…let the greedy employers go to hell…in the best of times they are THIEVING and wicked with BILLIONS OF DOLLARS MISSING FROM THE ECONOMY, so imagine their nasty mindsets now..i would shut them ALL DOWN….our ancestors SURVIVED WITHOUT THEM….and the Black majority SURVIVED iIN SPITE OF THEM…

    I blame the medical professionals that knew and lied to us or were too stupid to understand basic virus and vaccine science.

    Do you realize the second shot is actually a booster and the manufacturers are already talking about possibly having to do a third booster in 6 months.

    I think that has more to do with their secret internal studies showing vaccine protection dropping off fast around the 6 months mark as opposed to a money grab.

    Rather than argue over the vaccine lets look at the environment that our major source market is in.

    The UK 2 months ago was averaging around 2000 new cases a day. They are now averaging around 40,000 with 95% of them being made up of the new delta variant. So why this massive jump in the UK infections?

    The answer is simple over that period of time they had Football, Wimbledon Tennis and the F1 racing where the Tv showed few if any people wearing masks. So even in a country with relatively high vaccination rates the lesson is if you drop your controls the virus will take over. So what do we know for sure ? We know that persons in the UK who were vaccinated have caught the delta variant. We know the vaccine is not as effective against it as first thought. Unfortunately their easing of protocol and heightened infections is bad news for us, as if this continues Boris no doubt will clamp down on travel again. But we also know that if we stick to protocols like mask wearing etc our chances of control are way better. No one knows how long this thing will be with us but we do know how to protect ourselves with protocols combined with vaccination.

    I am no doctor either but I love reading science and can put two and two together.

    The science shows the vaccines are not giving us long lasting immunity so there will always be a resurgence until they embrace early outpatient treatments to permanently break the transmission chain.

    Fauci says new mask guidelines for vaccinated Americans under active consideration by CDC amid delta outbreak

    Dr. Anthony Fauci announced on Sunday that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is assessing new COVID-19 guidelines that would require face masks for those who are already vaccinated. Fauci, who is the chief medical advisor to President Joe Biden, said the change in mask guidance may be necessisary because the United States is “going in the wrong direction” as far as COVID-19 cases.

    During an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union, Fauci cautioned, “And I have said, it is really a pandemic among the unvaccinated, so this is an issue predominantly among the unvaccinated, which is the reason why we’re out there, practically pleading with the unvaccinated people to go out and get vaccinated.”

    Fauci expressed concern about the outbreak of the virulent delta variant, “And since we have 50 percent of the country [that] is not fully vaccinated, that’s a problem, particularly when you have a variant like Delta, which has this extraordinary characteristic of being able to spread very efficiently and very easily from person to person.”

    Because of the delta variant, some local governments, such as Los Angeles County, have reimposed its mask requirement for people in public locations, including for those who are fully vaccinated. In May, the CDC issued a new guidance that said fully vaccinated Americans are no longer advised to wear face masks indoors or outdoors under most circumstances. However, Fauci said the CDC may walk back its mask guidance for those who received the COVID-19 vaccine.

    This has nothing to do with the election or the COVID-19 crisis. It’s a huge, unstoppable stock market trend.

    “That’s a local decision that’s not incompatible with the CDC’s overall recommendations that give a lot of discretion to the locals,” Fauci told host Jake Tapper. “And we’re seeing that in L.A. We’re seeing it in Chicago. We’re seeing that in New Orleans, because the officials there, many of them are saying, ‘Even if you’re vaccinated, it’s prudent to wear a mask indoors.’”

    Fauci revealed that mask mandates for vaccinated Americans are “under active consideration” by the CDC, and said that he is “part of the discussion.”

    Fauci praised Republicans, including Govs. Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas and Ron DeSantis of Florida, for fervently urging their constituents to get the coronavirus vaccine.

    “What I would really like to see is more and more of the leaders in those areas that are not vaccinating to get out and speak out and encourage people to get vaccinated,” Fauci said.

    The director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said a booster shot “might likely” happen, which would be for people with suppressed immune systems, such as organ transplant and cancer patients.

    Over 163 million people, or 49.1% of the eligible U.S. population, are vaccinated, according to CDC data.

    You will only hear about the therapeutics widely talked about being available when some pharmaceutical company comes out with some ivermectin or hydroxychlorquine clone drug and rush it through EUA to push that as treatment. Otherwise, those early treatments will be relegated to underground sites and your so right-winged sites.

    P.S. Trump will be declared the winner after all the audits are done but not before another year or two. Hint: Keep your eye for Arizona and Georgia completed election forensic audit reports and the My Pillow man in that order. I have no idea who gave the My Pillow man terabytes of network data packet captures from the election but he just put up a 5 million dollars bounty to cyber expert that can prove his packet captures are fraudulent.

    Vaccinations lower your chances of dying from Covid, it prepares your body’s resistance to fight the virus. If you catch it you may have lesser symptoms although it is still possible to suffer quite badly in some/fewer instances.

    People only showing up at a late stage for treatment because nobody wants to be on an episode of Locked Up at Harrison’s Point or an episode of I stayed at a top class Bajan Hotel and all I saw was the 4 walls of my room

    When they change the quarantine and isolation protocols to something more sensible, bajans will be coming forward early like mad. I personally think I had it early last year but I did not go to test that theory out since I did not want to risk appearing on those two shows. I self isolated at home till I was better and I am sure most bajans are doing the same thing.

    that virus was around on the island since late 2019…most people thought it was a chest infection and recovered within days, some repeated it and again recovered within days, that is why they are telling us it has a 97% recovery rate….one doctor i know had a severe chest infection, never knew it was there until another doctor got suspicious and ordered a chest x-ray….. that took a little longer to clear up, but went away without hospitalization..

    Your Protest and Draft is a Waste of time unless it is pushing for same testing protocols for both vaccinated and un-vaccinated people since it can be demonstrated vaccinated people can both catch and spread it as well as the un-vaccinated.

    I also I don’t think they will mandate the vaccines because each person that gets seriously ill or dies from a forced vaccine will result in a big lawsuit and huge PR nightmare for everybody.
