The FBI is investigating the death of George Floyd, black man who was pinned on the neck by a police officer and later died in custody. Minnesota’s Attorney General Keith Ellison joins The Beat with Ari Melber’s breaking coverage on the latest from the FBI and the protests. While the officers involved have yet to be charged, Ellison argues a “quick arrest” might “make people feel better about justice” it is “important” for investigators to “take the time to make sure that these charges, if they are brought forward, stick.

There are technologies that enable one to see through walls; so hiding behind masks should not pose any real problem. I have no sympathy for drug peddlers. They are, as far as I am concerned purveyors of extreme suffering and denigration of the individuals who are hooked on drugs. They are pernicious scum and should be neutralized by what ever means possible.

Ahh yes, Fascist Crier in full screech. It is not surprising that she has never accepted my invitations over the past few years to visit and talk in person about entrepreneurship and economic development after she spouted off on BU with complete misinformation. I used to think she was merely stupid, but now I see that she is just your average racist White woman who is stupid in addition.

  5. We are already seeing what @PLT would call the Uncle Toms at work. They are talking about incremental change; about reasonableness; about non-violent protest. Or warning about CoVid spread. There is always some reason why we should limit our fight back. All this is playing in to the hands of the racist politicians and police.
We must not compromise in our humiliation. What black Americans must do is extend the battle to the relatives and friends of these officers. And if white liberals and middle class blacks do not like it, then they too become part of the problem. All those white Bajans with their AK-47s who believe, misleadingly, that they are safe, should be stopped in their cars and asked to explain their wealth.
Those in the urban jungles of developed countries should realise that they have a unique position in that the military would not bomb them. The Vietcong has taught us how to fight a better armed enemy. There is a message there for the New Barbadians too.
If we turn the other cheek, all that will happen is that they will hit us on it too.

“Minnesota’s attorney general said Monday he will prosecute the four cops involved in the George Floyd case to “the highest degree of accountability.”

“We are reviewing the evidence, and we are reviewing the law, and we are going to charge this case in a manner consistent with the highest level of accountability that the facts and the law will support,” AG Keith Ellison told MSNBC — after Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz announced over the weekend that the state’s highest lawman would be taking over prosecution of the racially charged case.”

Bajans can talk and talk. Why are we not marching on the US embassy? Why are we not tearing down the gated communities? This is an island where white goons can march in to a black woman’s boutique in Speightstown and dump rubbish and get away with it. Can you imagine that happening in Brixton?
Cowardice is the hallmark of the typical Bajan. Give them a cheap suit, a nylon shirt and a polyester tie and they think they have it made. Just read BU and you see what I mean. Other ethnics know it. They import guns and drugs and give them to the little black boys to sell or shoot each other.
Even in the 1960s the old people would not have tolerated this. I remember when people rushed the Abed’s store because a manager had been rude to a black woman. Today the only people who rush their store is to buy the over-priced tat they have on sale. How times change. Some idiots now call the Lebanese Bajans.

  12. Creating more racial anger with these articles. Yes, racism is a problem. But articles need not pit people against each other. Whether these men were racially motivated, they need to be prosecuted for justice, and such things need to be prevented, for all people. This is not race against race, as the title suggests. This is wrong people harming another, killing. And in the riots, we’re learning and seeing horrific behavior, some worse, than what they claim to be protesting. What we need is to quit listening to the haters, those pitting people against each other, those living off hate, and get back to discussions.

  13. ” Whether these men were racially motivated, they need to be prosecuted for justice, and such things need to be prevented, for all people. This is not race against race, as the title suggests. ”

it was a racist killing by racist police as per the norm

but the pigs can’t be charged for racism as the courts would say there wan’t enough evidence to prove it

You know perfectly well that there is no such thing as an antifa organization. Antifa is simply an abbreviation of anti-fascist. There is no organization, no cells, no leaders, no followers. I myself am anti fascist and so is my wife, but there is no antifa organization to belong to.

90% of the violence on American streets over the past few days has been carried out by White supremacist organizations trying to spark the “race war” that they are hoping for. Now these ARE actual organizations. Some are neo-nazi groups like Atomwaffen and Feuerkrieg Division. Other newer groups call themselves Accelerationists, or the Boogaloo movement. What is clearly shown by hours of third party video footage is that these are White supremacist terrorists.

The only people who are blaming the non existent antifa organization are White racists like Trump and, of course, you John.

As long as it’s recognized by the PEOPLE in Barbados that changes MUST occur within the repulsively engineered SLAVE society that allows marginalization, oppression, racism and THEFTS to function as a culture and keep generations of Black Bajans financially stagnant so that a few riffraff and the lying leaders can prosper…there should be NO resistance to tearing down the RACISM and APARTHEID that exists on the toxic little island. and have for generations POST EMANCIPATION.

This government cannot for ONE MOMENT BELIEVE that things will return to:

Using the people as votes on legs only

maliciously maintaining a too large cross section of Black, landless, moneyless poverty generationally

allowing hatred of the majority black population to thrive and grow generationally

allowing dependence on one industry that will never generate growth, wealth and prosperity within the majority population in the last hundred years after the same industry was developed on the island

generational THEFT of money, property, estates etc from the majority population and others..

refusal to upgrade the education system, thereby continuing the generational decades old UNDER-EDUCATION of the masses

continuing to label the Black masses as the “poor man” while deliberately keeping them POOR…

this and successive governments will have to be stupid and uneducated to believe that this will be allowed to continue into another generation, no it won’t, the enlightened African descended WILL NOT ALLOW IT.

And NO Peter Wickham, you did not deal with them differently, you ACCEPTED GENERATIONAL RACISM, APARTHEID, MARGINALIZATION, CORRUPTION and THEFTS in the people’s lives and ended up with a barely functioning society, generational poverty and disenfranchisement of the masses practiced by two corrupt governments in collusion with a tiny disgusting minority…nothing was achieved except for more of the same for the last 60 years..you enabled it so nothing EVER CHANGED..you never PUSHED BACK against nor tried to dismantle it because everyone felt comfortable with their little jobs, titles and go nowhere salaries, NO ONE FOUGHT to dismantle such a dangerous society negatively impacting the lives of every generation. But it’s clear you understand where this is leading now, even if the corrupt leaders don’t.

The taxpayer/ people funded police force has always been used as a weapon to oppress the masses and protect the corruption and thefts by both governments and minorities. So now it’s time to be SEEN as actually doing something to end this backward style of 1950s politics and oppression of the masses.

“Peter Wickham meanwhile, spoke more directly about a Barbadian society in which issues of police brutality and marginalization continue to affect those at the lower ends of the economic scale.

“I think many people assume that because we are a black country where there is no black racial minority, that we don’t have those issues. But the fact is that we do have those issues and we have had them for many years. We seem to have dealt with them differently, but I think that this type of issue is an important demonstration of the fact that the issues are still alive and well in the world.

Local authorities are being urged to use the ongoing protests in the United States of America as a reminder not to take the country’s marginalized communities for granted, especially amid the ongoing outbreak of the COVID-19.

Political scientists Dr Tennyson Joseph and Peter Wickham were reacting to the unfolding developments as millions of people in North America and across the globe observed #BlackoutTuesday on social media in solidarity with protesters. The action has been sparked by the death of African American George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis Police.

Social media timelines from Barbados also supported the blackout cause with a torrent of black squares, which replaced the usually colorful platforms of Facebook and Instagram – an indication that the cries against racial, social and economic injustices are being felt here as well.

“Since the 1980s, the dominant ideology told us that the role of the state was really to regulate the environment for capital accumulation and many of the other things that people demanded like access to healthcare, education, and equal treatment were seen as secondary. So when you have a movement and explosion that is putting those things back on the agenda, you need to pay attention. We cannot be fooled into thinking that we can just come out of this coronavirus situation and return to ‘normal’,” he added.

  33. WURA-War-on-U Avatar

It has to be made very clear to Mia and her Gang, that this will not be allowed to continue, no one cares about their self-serving, self-absorbed, greedy agendas, it has gone on much longer than it should, time to end these wicked, corrupt acts against the citizens who fund the island…

and that is why i’m letting the whole world know what you evil criminals have been doing decade after decade, because you believe everything is about you once you beg for votes and are elected..

  34. @ Cuhdear Bajan June 2, 2020 11:13 PM

Glad you are back fighting fit and ready to take on the BU heavy rollers like the big serpent from the ‘whitehill’.

Maybe the rather intelligently smart “Silly Woman” aka “Simple Simon” or the “Cuddear Bajan” lady can answer the following question(s):

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Why is the white man (used in its most generic sense) so afraid or despising of the black or African man (used also in its most generic sense)?

The black man does not take over the white man’s businesses or steals his technologies or military secrets.

Neither does the black man controls his own countries’ resources and commercial activities to rival or compete with the white man’s.

The black man does not seek to impose his ‘natural’ culture or indigenous religions on the white man but only seeks to impress and entertain the white man with his prowess in ‘certain’ sports, singing and dancing.

The black man is always seeking validation from the white man by aping the European physical appearance even though the white man wrote a book claiming the he, the white guy, was made in the image of a European-concocted Creator.
For when the black folks see white folks they see the Holy Family with sweet white baby Jesus in a manger surrounded by all manner of beasts from the Serengiti plain and adored by wise men or’ star boys’ from the East.

The black man is not directly responsible for the ‘forced’ miscegenation of the races in the past by keeping black women as slaves and bed wenches resulting in a mixed-up ‘race’ of people called ‘Coloured Folks’.

Although Mother Nature requires variegation to bloom and to ‘shine’ like the rainbow she does not want to leave so much of a psychologically bitter-sweet taste in the mouths of her human pollinators.

So why is the white man still carrying around this massive social monkey on his institutionalised back which only puts an unimaginably heavy burden on his moral and intellectual shoulders?

Why does he still have to vent his ‘perceived racial inadequacies called white supremacy by practising racism (both overt and institutionalised) and using his still barbaric forms of modern-day lynching towards the black man?

Is it because of genetic mutation caused by some recessive gene(s) linked to his Neanderthal roots?

There must be more in the female mortar to grind the black and white pepper than just a little white pestle, not so?

Cud dear Bajan woman, do you have any answers to the camouflaged bag of bamboozling black or white riddles, or should we ask the black and white boy from a Bajan backra-johnny family called the BU John Trump?

Why on earth would anti fascists deliberately provoke riots where social distancing and observance of the curfews are ignored?

Are anti fascists too dumb to realise that they are deliberately targeting black people for extermination?

  37. WURA-War-on-U Avatar

John..at least try to understand, when they calculate the deaths PER MILLION and the RATE of deaths…it means that the death rates are higher, per million in the minority community, there is between 45-50 million Black people in US…..13-15% of the population…..again, when calculated PER MILLION…the RATE of deaths are HIGHER…that is all, it does NOT mean more blacks are dying..

the white majority on the other hand at 72% of the US population, am too exhausted to calculate right now,, but OVERALL there are much, much MORE meaning tens of thousands more white deaths than blacks or hispanics or anyone else, given that they are the majority population.

so if 100,000 people died from the plague, you can guarantee that at least 60% of them were whites….same in UK, same in Canada or anywhere else that whites are the majority..

i find myself having to repeatedly explain this to people from all walks of life because they do not understand how ratios are calculated…

    rate of deaths…..

    overall deaths…

    two different scenarios….stop confusing them..

Evil corrupt leadership and evil, greedy, lazy minorities have to go…..they continue to be good for nothing…they all need STRIPPING of everything they have STOLEN over the decades and all their offshore asset FROZEN…all of it is the proceeds of thefts from the Black majority still ongoing..

Everyone has always known of the inequalities and colonial nastiness still being practiced by the black faces in parliament in Barbados within the last 60 years against their own people and everyone still continues to pretend it’s not still happening, well guess what, everyone should know that this is the end of that, even if you want to continue pretending that it’s not….that’s on you…but everyone is also well aware that wealth, labor and futures continue to be STOLEN from the majority Black population.

    https://blogs.lse.ac.uk/latamcaribbean/2017/08/18/trouble-in-paradise-the-hidden-impacts-of-increasing-inequalities-in-barbados/?fbclid=IwAR35IzIpLK5wlK891Llcbj3UpGQthK7ae1lyUFZ2F9SlEGX8dG_gteJDYOA

“Sources of inequality may have changed since the colonial era, but its scale and impact continue to shape Barbadian society, writes Collin Constantine (Kingston University).

The renowned Barbadian historian Sir Hilary Beckles has recently argued that the white inheritors of The First Black Slave Society remain both dominant and unrepentant in today’s Barbados. For all the de jure political power that black descendants have achieved, de facto economic power has not shifted. His view is supported by my own research, which reveals new evidence of how this old colonial oligarchy in Barbados has transformed itself into a post-colonial oligarchy.”

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    No, JOHNNY!

    Here’s MY definition of a fool –

A fool is a Bajan black woman who reads the submissions and clicks on the links of a “white” Bajan man from a FILTHY rich family who lives on a PLANTATION and takes them seriously.

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  43. The crux of the matter is that most Bajan white men go to bed dreaming of Donald Trump and wake up with the sheets wet.

  44. Yes, they too have a dream – that one day they will be able to spew their racist crap boldly again instead of in the privacy of their living rooms. They have a dream that one day they will no longer have to “reason” with Bajan blacks on BU using pretzel logic and wild conspiracy theories. They have a dream that one day they may again use the whip and not the puppet strings.

They have a dream that one day they will be able to shout it loud and proud from the rooftops –

“Yes, I am a racist and you are a n*****!”

    DREAM ON!

  45. The anti fascist seems to have been struck dumb by the simple logic.

He hasn’t thought through his position on Trump and the military.

The areas most badly affected by the Antifa fascist riots are Democrat and in the dumps.

Maybe all Trump needs to do is let the Democrat leaders of the various cities resist the sending of Federal help and reap the benefits of a fed up electorate in November.

Cuomo and de Blasio are doing untold harm to New York.

Now businesses and their employees realise they don’t need to come into Manhattan to work they will realise the need for expensive real estate for offices is not necessary.

    The tax base will shrink.

    Economic conditions will worsen.

The consequences of living in a Democrat run hell hole.
