Senator Caswell Franklyn of the People’s Party for Democracy and Development (PPDD) shared the following email (email addresses were redacted from the email) with the blogmaster. The contents of the email is not new and there is no need for the blogmaster to be prolix except to say-  trivializing the process of law making exposes AND compromises the governance system.

We must do better.

  1. And for those who got lost……Samuel L..just got his Gabon passport…so wuh he need to go into a US embassy in Africa for….when he is free to use his US passport to fly back to US…

And if they planning to lure Africans to Barbados….well the Africans better watch their asses….cause these are still in slave society mode…..they can’t help themselves..

Anyway, let’s not get ahead of ourselves…ah don’t think the AU have decided what to do about that situation yet…ya leaders are TOO DAMAGED…..it will take time…hope not too long though…Bajans desperately need to connect with their ancestors….ah mean the ones who have been the victims of that evil slave society, the majority population, headed by their dumbass colonized leaders for far too long.

  2. And just to show ya how they out do themselves…a British woman set on fire in Barbados…we knew about the fire but Barbados is yet to say a word about her death..

Why do we have Ambassadors to the UN and the OAS but still have diplomats in NY, Toronto, Ottawa, London, China, Brazil etc? I think one needs to understand the role of the Caricom Ambassador before talking.”
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

How about also explaining’ the role of the “special envoy” to Surinam(e) before trying to justify squandermania of the pork barrel variety even under a BERT programme where the persistent non-collection garbage is turning Barbados into a rat-infested palace.

What added value would such a ‘special’ appointment bring to the economic restructuring table that a ‘similarly shared’ appointment to Guyana cannot achieve?

You of all people should have ‘enuff’ commonsense to realize this is a clear case of finding a job for one of the ‘special blue-and-yellow ’ girls belonging to the sorority under the GG’s wing.

  4. Yall have no shame, ya so colonized ya turned savage.

  5. The special envoy to Suriname is another Gov’t “make work” project, everyone must get paid.

  6. Baje
You are an indefatigable bullshitter. Why don’t you list ALL the promises, rather than select 2/3, and tell BU what has been accomplished in the last 14 months? But as Lorenzo asked where were you pre 24 May 2018? 🤣🤣🤣

  7. @ Sargeant,

“The permanent secretary also highlighted the designation of a special envoy to Suriname who will be helping to implement the Brokopondo Agreement, of which agriculture was an important aspect.

He said Barbados would be seeking a cheaper source of food and looking to grow food in Suriname to ship back to Barbados”

  11. @ Beavis and Butthead / @ Enuff and Lorenzo

Before May 2018 I was an onlooker and voted for neither party not even for the last election.

I didn’t have to be on BU to speak my thoughts in among the population.

Your BLP Party fooled people with all kinds of commitments and promises including raising minimum wages for the masses within 6 months of being elected.

They must have meant themselves because they raised their own wages within the first 6 months of winning the elections.

Continued deception by those who voted them in by a landslide of the same masses.

Feel free to call me a jackass, poochlicker, and bullshitter.

However, I am not the one continuing with tricking Bajans for financial gain and for their votes and then dismissing them once I get in to be told it has been mentioned in the newspaper15 months later as a bullshit excuse.

You two benefactors and lackeys need to come and wheel again.

  12. “You of all people should have ‘enuff’ commonsense to realize this is a clear case of finding a job for one of the ‘special blue-and-yellow ’ girls belonging to the sorority under the GG’s wing.”

Enuff is a damn idiot…no commonsense at all, just like the useless leaders Barbados got…

    Leaders = dumbasses

    Yardfowls = dumber asses

  13. And they are so BLIND they can’t see the degradation and decay that THEY CREATED on the island….that EVERYONE on and off the island is now talking about….they are all way too busy trying to find NEW and improved WAYS….to TIEF FROM THEIR OWN PEOPLE…

Good thing though,…they will not even know when that wicked slave society has been dismantled and their evil backsides….KICKED TO THE CURB..

  14. https://barbadostoday.bb/2019/08/15/fix-public-servants-issues/

The only terrorists and money launderers the people have to be REALLY WORRIED ABOUT in Barbados are the conniving leaders in the parliament and the disgusting business minorities who BRIBE THEM ALL so they can freely commit crimes against the citizens and country….don’t listen to the 2 asses Moe and Cummins…

These agencies better dont put one dime in these crooks hands to help them maintain Slave Society Barbados…especially knowing they will TIEF more than half of any money and pocket it for themselves anyway…THEY ARE THE TERRORISTS…the people need help GETTING RID OF THEM…

Slave Society Barbados needs to be DISMANTLED ASAP….take away the destructive powers of these wicked uppity negros……

  15. If individual senators are so keen on reforming the country, they should first abolish the Senate. The Senate only costs money and has no effect at all. Quite the opposite: as the post and the following blog entries show, the Senate is substantially delaying legislation and is thus an obstacle to more foreign investment in Barbados.

Our leader Mia Mottley is therefore well advised to abolish the Senate in the medium term, let us say immediately after the next election.

  16. You are hereby informed of the 28th Sitting of the Honourable the Senate being held on Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 in the Senate Chambers, Parliament Buildings at 11:00 a.m.

The Order Paper and any additional information will be sent at a later date.

So, did the Order Paper and any additional information?

Does Caswell know what he was to discuss yesterday as yet?

  17. A savage society, what more would an intelligent government need to make the necessary changes, but ya don have an intelligent government and will never get one coming from the present demons polluting the parliament, they are even MORE SAVAGE….than the average vulnerable, victimized citizens….and that savagery has trickled down and leaked into their self created slave society..

    https://barbadostoday.bb/2019/08/15/zr-minibus-drivers-leave-disabled-stranded/

“Public Service Vehicle operators are leaving disabled people by the roadside, impatient with the time people with physical challenges take to get on the buses, leading disability rights advocate Kerryann Ifill has complained.

And Ifill, president of the disabled community’s umbrella organisation, the Barbados Council for the Disabled is pleading with the Ministry of Transport and the Transport Authority to urge PSV operators to curb their insensitivity which often leaves these commuters stranded for hours.

“[PSV operators] are leaving them at the bus stops and telling them take another transport because they can’t be bothered to wait a few seconds that it may take for persons to get onboard their vehicles.

“This can be very distressing in a situation where you have to wait another two hours before a vehicle can come along, she said.”

  18. From where some of you people sit does anything good happen in Barbados? It is easy to convert the good, bad and ugly if you see everything through a jaundice eye.

  19. Keep covering up the bad…and see how far that will get ya…bad becomes worse and then even worst.

If there were no problems…no one would be able to report anything to the newspapers or outside agencies….as a matter of fact, there would be no need for social media..

Ya want to clean up the nastiness and evil…or do you want to just continue complaining about it without any resolution….well ya don’t have a choice because others are not amused by any of this wicked shite and clear cases of HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS….that too many are UNABLE to recognize…let alone do anything about.

    Giving Caswell a heads-up.
This will wind its way down to the two port scammers

  21. The good, bad and ugly all need to be exposed.
All new PSV’s must be wheel chair accessible.

Leaving the disabled on the road is as ugly and barbaric as you can get. Indeed the system have to be changed so that with three or more documented and substantiated complaints the permit is suspended. It is reinstated after a fixed period of time and the driver/conductor had some kind of training.

  22. Every news outlet in UK is highlighting the death of the British Black woman, that Barbados tried to cover up because wukking up and hiding information was more important to these skunks….., what a fitting look for a disgusting slave society..

  23. Ah can’t even find the time to cuss the UK for the initial creation of this mess centuries ago and since the fake independence…….these demons in the parliament are outdoing the british in brutality and savagery against their own people and against each other…..by MILES…..ah bet they can now teach the british a thing or two..

  24. I remember in the late 90s a white Canadian woman told me that the brutality and savagery she saw Black bajans displaying toward each other will only escalate…not even i believed her at that time, until i started watchig them and saw what she was talking about,.

just leave it alone and watch how much worse it will get, some don’t believe these things until it turns up in their homes, when their turn comes..

The murder of the British Woman who died on August the 6th after being set alight on July 28th was not “Covered Up for any “slave Society Reasons””

MUGABE MOTTLEY DIRECTED THE ATTORNEY GENERAL & HER MINISTER OF TOURISM TO SUPPRESS THE NEWS because it was Kadooment!

It is important that we get our information right.

This Act of Suppression of this news of death by Fire was easier to do BECAUSE SHE WAS A BLACK WOMAN and we dont count!

Had Natalie Critchlow been white the news would have been released earlier BUT MIA FELT THAT IT WOULD HAVE DAMAGED THE KADOOMENT BRAND!

If it were anything otherwise we would see the Attorney General Teets Marshall, Mugabe and Oblong Head Symmonds on national TV commisserating on thd death.

BUT MUGABE IS AN INSENSITIVE BRUTE as the purported clitoris removal evidences!!!

  26. @ Piece,

Absolutely. So far not a word from our political masters and mistresses. Barbados has drifted in to barbarism. Only one person on BU thinks Barbados is great, no matter what. This is what Barrow’s so-called free education has done to a once great nation. Barbados is a failed state.

  27. Well..am happy to break this news, but the british are righy ENRAGED by this lady’s murder and particularly by the subsequent cover up of her death and identity…

So…ah telling yall now, ya van start kissing WE GATHERING 2020 AND THE ELABORATE PLAN TO ROB BLACK BRITIDH BAJANS THRIR HARDEARNED MONEY…GOODBYE…am so happy to be the one to break this good news..

Only dumb yardfowls will get robbed and shitehound Enuff will not get a crumb.

Who peed in your Green tea this a.m.?

Do a review of the recent submissions and point out the good news stories. Well there was Crop Over but a few people got bogged down in arguments about who is the best calypsonian and they had me miffed when no one mentioned David Rudder but that is a discussion for another day.

Maybe I have a jaundice, cat boil, cock eye or what have you but do you see the ugly in this story?
In the midst of a garbage crisis the SSA reports that there is an epidemic of illegal dumping of sheep offal in Barbados, the Police manage to apprehend a couple of the scofflaws who admitted to the dumping but declined to charge them because according to the SSA spokesman they were “cooperative”.

I hope that next time someone is caught with a spliff or stealing a nail clip that they could “cooperate” their way out of charges.

  29. Baje2019
Admitting that you were an onlooker is worse than saying you were a DLP supporter. Why? Because this government is better than the 2008-2018 one and while they destroyed a whole country you looked on, even though you had no largesse to lose. Pass me with the BS.

  30. Piece.. check ya gaddamn history..this BARBARIC SHITE…only happens in slave societies, and that includes the biting out of clitorises without consequences. 32. @Sargeant

Do not confuse wrestling the challenging issues which confront the country with it being a Haiti like environment. Take a drive around the country, see people working, tourostat the beach, children attending the cinema etc. Barbados is a beautiful place to live. Some will argue better than the US where you need eyes at the back of your head or cold ass Canada or BrexitUK…LOL

  33. William Skinner Avatar

    @ David
Your point about Barbados being a good place to live should not be taken lightly. In many instances the quality of life is superior to the developed countries.
What we really luck is the proper management of our resources and the need to look inward for problem solving.
Unfortunately there are some basically stupid people on BU who believe that any criticism is based on some feeling of superiority by our brothers and sisters who live over and away.
However it is the complete opposite. What really annoys them is that the experience of living in a “big” country, makes them realize how fortunate they are to have come from smaller countries that were able once to give them so many great opportunities and the ability to fit in and achieve outside of their environment.
They are somewhat depressed at the deterioration in basic things that they would have once taken for granted: garbage collection; water supply and good public transportation come to mind.
I have never met a Barbadian any part of the world who does not love the rock. They just can’t understand why it is so badly managed or why basic things have been allowed to just fall apart.

  34. @William

Have no problem with your comment. Note one should not be phased about how others view you. You do what you have to do to make a contribution to making your country a better place.

  35. Definitely worth REPEATING..

  36. William…what most don’t realize is, experiences in large metropolises gave some of us an edge…some SKILLS WERE HEIGHTENED…and we are able to carry certain THOUGHTS…a little further than those who had no such experiences OR EXPOSURES…..

something like this…is it BETTER NOW.. that Mia and the newspapers COVERED up this lady’s death and identity for a one day festival and OTHER nefarious reasons…OR ARE THINGS MUCH, MUCH WORSE……than if they had reported her DEATH and IDENTITY….so those in UK,her family and friends would not have felt so ISOLATED..in their grief and loss..

ah will let yall be the JUDGE…going forward.

forgive the above errors, sometimes i like to live on the wild side, typing without glasses..

  37. William Skinner Avatar

    @ WARU
Your point is well made. I just thought it was time to call out these nefarious idiots who believe that all Bajans overseas must do is send them barrels.

  38. Indeed William…that is why Bajans worldwide have to be very careful putting any of their hardearned money in the hands of this DON’T CARISH…pretensive government..

… and as for that disgusting Nationnews that pimps for the government, that was NEVER a real newspaper anyway, they should be SHUTDOWN..

i had family and friends contacting me last night to show me that this story made FRONT PAGE NEWS…on BBC..all the other networks are carrying it…so it will be SEEN and DISCUSSED everywhere…worldwide..

Mia and her imps should tell us if that is BETTER FOR THEM…

  39. @ William

This new form of Bajan nationalism is the local version of Make America Great Again. It is black Trumpism. It should be treated with contempt.
There are two basic assumptions: first that Barbadians living outside the country have turned their backs on their homeland; and, second, there is a corrupt view that those of us in the Diaspora have adopted a belief that big country good, small island bad.
A few years ago I heard Owen Arthur with a similar argument, his was that since people overseas do not pay taxes they should have no say; it was repeated on radio phone-in programmes.
It is the reasoning of a fool. It suggests that citizenship is tied up with taxation.
Truth is, if they were to take a step back and try to view Barbados objectively, they too will see that genuine criticisms could lead to improvements for everyone – those at home and overseas. Only the blind would not see this.

  40. Baje2019 aka the previous “onlooker”

Now let me address your comment about fooling people. Did the BLP fooled the people about no UWI tuition, pension or public servants salary increase? What about limiting the CB printing of money; greater autonomy to the auditor general; planning reform; removal of NSRL and road tax; foreign currency accounts for locals; legislation to deal with the OECD and EU blacklisting; 24hr polyclinic; payment of reverse tax credit; settling debt to suppliers; income tax payments; road repairs; trust loans; medicinal marijuana; a commercial court; sandbox regime for fintech; upgrading fish markets; FEED programme; a law reform commission; breaking up of the Public service commission into smaller bodies; amend act relating to psvs; a national botanical garden; data protection legislation or stopping the flow of sewage on the streets along the south coast? Are you aware these were all promises made too and we’re only 14 months in? I could go on but prefer to address your oft go to promises to paint the government as fooling the people. Integrity Legislation was to be laid at the first sitting, it was done on the second and so far 21 members of the house have spoken. The bill was sent to select committee and based on what I have read in the newspaper should be passed and in place by November 30 this year. When passed what are you going to talk about? Minimum wage: “We have met with the Minimum Wage Board – the Minimum Wage Board is a tripartite construct that is tasked with advising the Minister responsible for Labour with recommendations on the level of minimum wage and how and if it should be adjusted. We’ve met with the Minimum Wage Board including independent representatives, representatives from the business community, employers, and representatives from workers’ organisations, and we have indicated to them that Government is moving
forward with the process of revising upward the minimum wage for workers in Barbados he told the Lower House.” Colin Jordan, June 2019
When the above is done, what will you complain about? Before repeating 6 months like a parrot, use your brain and locate the matter of increased minimum wage within the broader macroeconomic context and what has happened and is happening. Then consider TIMING and policy implentation. When govt launches its first jobs initiative and apprenticeship programmes, expand the A&E, increase the number of judges, complete its digitisation of the identified departments and more, what will you say? This requires legislation–drafting and debate in both houses–but I get called brain dead for making comments asking for agility and flexibility on the part of senators. I really do get muh jokes on BU–catspraddle all comers with FACTS and all they do is attack me personally. You and your kind gine have a long time here pelting cou cou against BU wall, wishing and hoping. Murdaaaa🤣🤣🤣

    @ WARU
This nonsense is a direct result of the disdain for proper public discourse. As you both have correctly said ,there are some in high office who mislead the populace for their own selfish gain.
It is now two straight days, that Brasstacks callers are lamenting garbage problems. This is scandalous and the fault of the Duopoly. Two parties that have governed the country, have failed to even manage basic areas.
Then we have complete and perhaps irreversible idiots on BU who do not even understand the role remittances play historically in the economy. They do not even know that residential construction was driven by those citizens living overseas , who constructed houses and assured relatives in doing the same.
It’s time to ignore these empty vessels who populate BU. Let them feed at the troughs in Roebuck and George Streets until their bellies bust.

  42. Waru aka Abigail de Salemite

Your skills and thoughts were “heightened” owing to your exposure to life in the metropoles? Yet talk so much basic, uninspiring rubbish coupled with cut and pastology pon BU, I don’t think you should be making such a statement.🤣🤣

  43. Is that the best ya can come up with…oh ye of limited intellect…

Wuh ya think it’s me Scotland Yard will be asking questions about the cover up of one of their citizen’s death and identity…i can type anything and still not be questioned…..about that….can’t yall see that ya are DONE…

Ya savagery and brutality against ya own people ain’t getting ya very far…now is it…

We Gathering 2020 should get yall some shiny new handcuffs….instead of the millions ya were DROOLING AT TIEFING…

  44. “Then we have complete and perhaps irreversible idiots on BU who do not even understand the role remittances play historically in the economy. They do not even know that residential construction was driven by those citizens living overseas , who constructed houses and assured relatives in doing the same.”

I watched for years as these ungrateful negros…PRETENDED THAT REMITTANCES FROM BAJANS WORKING ABOARD…in extreme weathers, racism and all manner of challenges….DID NOT MATTER…when that money kept the island afloat and many people survived on those remittances….they preferred pretend that it was tourism and the local minority criminals who helped them rip off the country were the ONLY ones ….helping the economy…

Now their pigs have come to fine market…Karma for these frauds and liars who ran up to UK, CANADA AND US…..RECENTLY….to the same Bajans…begging them to invest…..cause them and the minority criminals TIEF SO MANY BILLIONS.. from the people over the decades…….that there is now little to nothing left..

And they still think they are not being WATCHED,..

  45. Yeah …. Idiot Enuff ……explain that..

You must be under pressure of exposure for the bullshit you and your cronies want Bajans AND A WORLDWIDE AUDIENCE to believe.

    I don’t have to harp.

THE MINIMUM WAGE PLEDGE OF WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF WINNING THE ELECTIONS WAS PRINTED IN BLP MANIFESTO AND GIVING TO THE MASSES BEFORE VOTING DAY TO DRAW THEM IN.

IN OTHER WORDS BEAVIS THE MASSES HAVE BEEN MISLEAD GOING ON 14 MONTHS LATER AFTER BLP GOT VOTES AND RAISE THEIR OWN WAGES.

THEY ALSO MISLEAD THE MASSES ABOUT INTEGRITY LEGISLATION AND LOCKING UP CROOKED DLP POLITICIANS.

NOW LOOKING THE OTHER DIRECTION AFTER GETTING THEIR HANDS ON THE TREASURY AND ACCESS TO MAJOR BRIBERS IN THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY.

BEFORE ELECTIONS MARK MALONEY WAS THE MOST CORRUPT IN BARBADOS PREACHED TO THE MASSES ON POLITICAL PLATFORMS NIGHT AFTER NIGHT.

UPON BEING ELECTED THE SAME MARK MALONEY IS THE GOOSE THAT LAID THE GOLDEN EGG AND HE IS NOW CLEAN AS A WHITE SNOW.

For every dollar earned in tourism, we spend at least 60% of it to maintain that industry.
For every dollar remitted by overseas citizens , it’s safe to say at least 95% remain in the country.
Remittances also assist in the health of our senior citizens in that many overseas citizens send money to maintain the well being of aging relatives.
I would not personally pour scorn on the PM’s request to return in numbers next year because we certainly need some kind of national effort to assist in dealing with our current calamities.
As Hal suggests , we should treat the multitude of thoroughbred idiots on BU with the contempt they deserve and support the effort to engage our brothers and sisters from over and away.
I’m certain that when the PM reads the crap written on BU by some who say they are supporting her she is totally embarrassed.

“Had Natalie Critchlow been white the news would have been released earlier BUT MIA FELT THAT IT WOULD HAVE DAMAGED THE KADOOMENT BRAND!”

    My friend, Piece the Legend

Your above comments are NOT TRUE.

In the interest of CLARITY and FAIRNESS, the following are links from the Monday, July 29, 2019 edition of the Daily Nation Newspaper and Tuesday, July 30, 2019 edition of Barbados Today on-line newspaper, respectively:

    https://www.nationnews.com/nationnews/news/240969/woman-attacked-burnt

    https://barbadostoday.bb/2019/07/30/fiery-attack/

It is interesting to note Piece that, Monday, July 29, 2019 was SEVEN (7) days BEFORE Kadooment Day……. Monday, August 5, 2019.

And the victim was reported to have succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 ……. ONE (1) week AFTER Kadooment Day.

Surely, you’ll have to agree there wasn’t any suppression of this incident as you are suggesting.
