It is amazing the more educated we have become the more the beatitudes that should inform Christian behaviour and values are seemingly forgotten. For the evangelicals and the Conservatives Donald Trump is right because he conforms with the pro-life view and has aligned the SCOTUS to achieve this end, he ‘supports’ the Jews reflected in his decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Other examples abound.

Does it matter that President Trump is a card carrying adulterer?

That his imperfections have been recorded for world citizens to hear AND see?

His blatant disrespect for women?

His mocking of the differently able and on it goes. Clearly he is a man and therefore not perfect. What is missing from these so called Christians that support Trump is the unwillingness to hold him accountable for his behaviour that contradicts Christian teachings.

Given the influence Trump has as  president of the USA domestically and geopolitically,  the blogmaster as a world citizen worries how it will all translate in time to come. The latest news about the unexploded bombs addressed to prominent actors who are critics of Trump AND the shooting of Jews worshipping in a Pittsburg synagogue support a reasonable conclusion that words uttered by Trump matter.

Monitoring the two stories in the US media over the last couple of days it seems political commentators are reluctant to blame Trump as the person who must bear some blame for Cesar Altier Sayoc and the other nut job for feelign emboldened to terrorize the US space.The blogmaster is not so inhibited. He has been an immature, incompetent and bombastic political leader who has done nothing to improving the lot of mankind given the influence of the USA on world affairs.

Trump should watch the following interview with Rabbi Jeffrey Myers and by guided.

    Local and National political figures decline to appear with Trump in Pittsburgh, invitees included McConnell and Ryan (Republicans) and Schumer and Pelosi (Democrats). McConnell and Ryan said they have scheduling conflicts (their barbers will be unavailable until after Xmas). In addition, none of the Pennsylvania Senators Toomey (Republican) or Casey will appear in Toomey’s case- you guessed it -scheduling conflicts (he is searching for his Thanksgiving turkey).

    Trump should have reached out to Steve King the white Nationalist congressman from Iowa who keeps a Confederate flag on his desk.

    Has Trump indicated what intelligence he has received to inform criminals are embedded in the caravan?

    Trump only needs to do what the world is observing of the violence taken place for both Guatemalan and Mexico Police has had to deal with trying to stop illegal entries into their countries and met with violence from within the Caravan.

    There have also be many incidents among Caravan travellers with violence erupting preventing women and children from getting on Mexican vehicles with the young men forcing themselves on at their detriment.

    The 5200 US National Guards once assigned will take care of both what the Guatemalan and Mexican officials have so far failed to do.

    You are out of touch with reality … history too!!

    There is absolutely no parallel history between the two countries where slavery is concerned!!

    The invention of the Cotton Gin in 1795 signaled the large scale importation of slaves to America to produce cotton!!

    In Barbados, it was sugar that required the importation of slaves and that started more than a century earlier.

    Different crop, more than a century different!!

    In 1810, there were about 4.5 million whites to 1 million slaves.

    The ratio in Barbados at that time was about 15,000 whites to 70,000 slaves.

    Ratios inverted 4-5:1 vs 1:4-5!!

    By the time the Civil war started in 1860, immigration form Ireland (potato famine) and Europe, had swelled the white population to about 12 million.

    The slave population stood at 1.8 million.

    In fact that was the secret weapon of the North …. the immigrants provided a huge manpower resource for the Union Army.

    … and of course Barbados never fought a war to free slaves like America did.

    Whereas Barbados provided free education to the freed slaves, America provided 40 acres and a mule.

    Who is this man who was so critical of Obama’s Executive orders but now thinks he can amend the US Constitution at the stroke of a pen? If a man boasts that he doesn’t read he would hardly have heard of Dred Scott and the 14th amendment of the US Constitution that was generated in part by the Supreme Court ruling against Scott.

    How ironic that Republicans who are so “gung ho” about the purity of the Second amendment the one that states

    “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

    But somehow the fourteenth amendment

    “ All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States.”
    which guaranteed citizenship for the descendants of slaves is fair game for an executive order by a “Nationalist” President.

    The rights spelled out in the 14th amendment was confirmed by the US Supreme Court in 1898 in the case of the US vs Wong Kim Ark who was born of Chinese parents in the US but prevented from reentering the country under the Chinese exclusion Act.

    I know no such thing.

    Can you provide a link to the US legislation and Barbados model to which you refer?

    Here is my logic.

    If you check your history you will find there were African slaves in America decades before Barbados was even settled in 1627!!

    My thesis is Barbados was settled to provide a place to break the sea voyage to New England and Virginia.

    Bermuda, St. Christopher likewise

    South Carolina was not settled from Barbados until the 1660’s, almost two generations after Barbados itself was first settled.

    After 1627, Barbadians routinely travelled to and from America long before South Carolina was first settled.

    @John, please note that I specified “legislation to establish enslavement.” Of course our evil ancestors practiced it extensively in both Barbados and North America before they enshrined their White supremacist ideology in law. However, the Barbados “Act for the Better Ordering and Governing of Negroes” of 1661 was the first law within the British Empire to make legal excuse for the inhumanity of enslavement, and it served as the model for the other legal justifications of this White evil throughout the empire.

    This heinous atrocity is, of course, the most far reaching and globally high impact act ever to be accomplished by any legislature in Barbados. How you have reached well into your seventh decade of existence without understanding this most seminal fact of Barbados History is a mystery to me.

    Hasn’t it dawned on you that since Virginia was in operation 2 generations before England claimed Barbados that what you see in Barbados is a copy of what pertained in Virginia?

    It was then copied further when South Carolina was settled through Barbados.

    Isn’t that the most likely explanation for what you saw?

    There are three Jacobean houses REMAINING in the new world, Nicholas Abbey, Drax Hall (1650’s?) and Bacons Castle (Virginia completed 1665).

    “Drax Hall. No one knows for sure, but it is generally believed that Drax Hall was built by the brothers William and James Drax in the 1650’s. The brothers built Drax Hall as one of the earliest and biggest sugar properties in Barbados. They were a wealthy and well connected family that had a special love for Barbados.”

    “St Nicholas Abbey is located in Saint Peter, Barbados, and is a plantation house, museum and rum distillery.[1] Colonel Benjamin Berringer built the house in 1658.[2] This house is one of only three genuine Jacobean mansions in the Western Hemisphere.[2] It’s similar to the English Jacobean-era manor houses of the first half of the seventeenth century, the period between the Tudor and Georgian styles, beginning in the reign of James I.”

    “Bacon’s Castle, also variously known as “Allen’s Brick House” or the “Arthur Allen House” is located in Surry County, Virginia, United States, and is the oldest documented brick dwelling in what is now the United States. Built in 1665, it is noted as an extremely rare example of Jacobean architecture in the New World. Wikipedia”

    It is thought that Arthur Allen was linked to Barbados as follows:

    Daughter Allen (c1635-before 1675) married first a Johnson, possibly John Johnson Jr (1623-after 1659) as his second (or later) wife, since he was unmarried in a 1653 deed. There is NO documentary evidence of this connection! She might have later married William Mayo (1630-1715) who later married Isabel (Hardy or Allen). The will of John Hardy, October 1675, leaves “to my Wife’s Grand child John Johnson one cow when he comes to the age of Seventeen yeares.” and other bequests to his “son in law” Robert Burnett and William Mayo. When Alice Tucker Hardy gave her power of attorney to her son-in-law William Mayo on 11 May 1681, John Johnson (III) was a witness. John Hardy received a land patent in 1666 for importing William Mayo. William Mayo’s wife was Isabel on a 1691 deed, and he died in 1713. His brother was Edward Mayo of BARBADOS and later Pasquotank County, NC. Edward’s daughter Sarah Mayo (1668 BARBADOS- -before 1726 NC) married in 1688, in Philadelphia, John H Culpepper (1633-before 1695). John Johnson (1659-1707) received a grant of land in 1681 for paying John Culpepper’s passage to Virginia – six times. See Bob’s Genealogy Filing Cabinet for more on headright land patents. Apparently one child:

    Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl was held captive by the Taliban for roughly five years.

    Then-President Barack Obama cut a deal to get him back by sending five terrorists detained at Guantanamo Bay in the swap.

    Their names: Mullah Norullah Nori, Mohammed Nabi Omari, Mohammed Fazl, Khairullah Khairkhwa and Abdul Haq Wasiq.

    Now, the five terrorists are back in action.

    From Military Times:

    Five members of the Afghan Taliban who were freed from the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay in exchange for captured American Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl have joined the insurgent group’s political office in Qatar, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said Tuesday.

    They will now be among Taliban representatives negotiating for peace in Afghanistan, a sign some negotiators in Kabul say indicates the Taliban’s desire for a peace pact.

    Others fear the five, all of whom were close to the insurgent group’s founder and hard-line leader Mullah Mohammed Omar, bring with them the same ultra-conservative interpretation of Islam that characterized the group’s five-year rule that ended in 2001 with the U.S.-led invasion.

    @Pieces, the emotive tag re the birthrite citizenship and the caravan is crystal clear to any student of politics HOWEVER that alone cannot save a Republican majority in the house.

    There are deep seated issues re healthcare, taxation and frankly this lil matter of hate speech/divisiveness which are propelling actions in every local district. Couple those with the scandals affecting some otherwise well entrenched republicans and your confidence of a POTUS led victory seems ill founded….

    Yes at the broad national level (the disinformation level, you call it) POTUS is quite dominant and surely in deep red districts he continues to be very popular but beyond that at level of the average American as you note, or what can be described as swing districts and with independants he is absolutely vulnerable….

    … so of course it comes down to turnout and enthusiasm…who best drives that will win and at the moment the edge appears AGAINST Republicans.

    Incidentally, it is amazing …absolutely amazing really…. that today the entire US and thus the world continues to talk about the “birther” issue now in the guise of a constitutional fix by presidential decree.

    This man propelled himself to political relevance on the issue of citizenship by birth rights and in unbelievable Trumpian style his presidency is poised on the edge of endless subpoenas, investigations and disruption from a Democratic congressional majority based on his verbal assault on that VERY issue!

    So we can agree that he most definitely understands the mechanics that drive emotions…..but there is NO agreement that “his competitors still cannot mount an adequate enough campaign” …they are.

    Why is a Black candidate for Florida governor running neck and neck against the Trump endorsed White fella! He may yet lose but effective and more than adequate he has been.

    We will see how average Americans really feel in just a few days…if POTUS can once again buck years of a trend which sees a sitting president lose party supremacy at mid terms then we MUST all hail King Donald of Teflon.

    Oh yeah, he is unaware of the Barbados Slave Codes of 1661 because he is aware that those crimes are STILL being practiced on the island today by many of the 7,500 minorities living in Barbados particularly those in the business community, the real crooks and criminals in Barbados…and as I have hinted…we plan to dismantle it one way or the next…… …but he is foundly, lovingly and proudly aware of the black baby rapists and wild animals the Drax quaker family from UK…am sure he would be happy to engage us on that subject.

    Books have been written about the Drax family black children rapists.
