It is amazing the more educated we have become the more the beatitudes that should inform Christian behaviour and values are seemingly forgotten. For the evangelicals and the Conservatives Donald Trump is right because he conforms with the pro-life view and has aligned the SCOTUS to achieve this end, he ‘supports’ the Jews reflected in his decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Other examples abound.

Does it matter that President Trump is a card carrying adulterer?

That his imperfections have been recorded for world citizens to hear AND see?

His blatant disrespect for women?

His mocking of the differently able and on it goes. Clearly he is a man and therefore not perfect. What is missing from these so called Christians that support Trump is the unwillingness to hold him accountable for his behaviour that contradicts Christian teachings.

Given the influence Trump has as  president of the USA domestically and geopolitically,  the blogmaster as a world citizen worries how it will all translate in time to come. The latest news about the unexploded bombs addressed to prominent actors who are critics of Trump AND the shooting of Jews worshipping in a Pittsburg synagogue support a reasonable conclusion that words uttered by Trump matter.

Monitoring the two stories in the US media over the last couple of days it seems political commentators are reluctant to blame Trump as the person who must bear some blame for Cesar Altier Sayoc and the other nut job for feelign emboldened to terrorize the US space.The blogmaster is not so inhibited. He has been an immature, incompetent and bombastic political leader who has done nothing to improving the lot of mankind given the influence of the USA on world affairs.

Trump should watch the following interview with Rabbi Jeffrey Myers and by guided.

    People will never understand where they are until they understand how they got there; they will never be able to create their own future unless the understand their true history. The most concrete contribution to national development would be to make this part of primary school social studies and history education.

  10. I don’t know which part of…the 1661 Slave Codes are still very much in place and in practice on the island that GP does not understand.

    ……just yesrday he lamented how the racist apartheid system practiced by the hakfassed white descendants of INDENTURED SERVANTS in Strathclyde, Pine Riad and Belleville…negatively impacted his life in Barbados that he raced off to the US…ironic huh….and he vividly REMEMBERS IT…..yet it appears that he thinks that once he left Barbados the racist apartheid practices automatically stopped…or…since it no longer affected him….it is ok for the nasty practice to continue.

    Well it did not stop…it is alive and well because of the new generation of nasty negros and lawyers polluting the parliament and bar association…AND it is still practiced in the Carolinass and Southern US states…against the descendants of slaves..

    ….it has to be addressed and removed from the Barbados landscape because it still destroys the lives of and poisons the minds of the majority black population. ..who are still the victims of the evil practice thanks to noth black governmentd….

    When trump deports his ass…I doubt he will one to return to the same 50s style practice of racism and apartheid on the island.

    South Carolina was settled in the 1660’s.

    What is the date on the South Carolina Slave Code?

    It isn’t 1712 or something like that by any chance?

    Now if you really want to learn something new, look up Virginia slave laws.

    You will see they were in existence from 1629 … 2 years after Barbados was settled … and 32 years before any Barbadian slave code you can find!!

    This is simple stuff.

    From Lower First at HC, maybe even before, I knew Barbados was settled after Virginia and one of the crops tried here was Tobacco because of the success it had in Virginia!!

    But … different climates, … failure … poor quality!!

    Cotton was tried as well but … no gin for almost 2 centuries!!

    How come you don’t know these simple basic truths and I know them … same school!!

    My mother did not send me to school for the milk and the biscuits!!

The additional fact is that “The North American legislation to establish enslavement was copied directly from the Barbados model.” This is indisputably true and even Georgie Porgie knows it. You keep quoting irrelevant misdirections even after I lead you by the nose to the truth. Why? Are you unable to learn any more? Don’t keep embarrassing Dr GP.

    Did you actually do any research on the Virginia laws concerning enslaved people? Did you not understand that the possibility of life servitude for Black people was not introduced until 1662? Did you not comprehend that full chattel slavery was only introduced piecemeal by copying aspects of the Barbados legislation bit by bit? Did you not realise that it was not until 1705 that enslaved Black people in Virginia were classified as real property in imitation of the Barbados 1661 Act?

  23. Actor James Cromwell is warning of massive civil unrest and “blood in the streets” if Democrats can’t win big in the midterm elections. Mainly, Cromwell seems to be concerned that Republicans will retain power in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

    i saw for myself that the black population did not recognize what they were being subjected to by racists in Barbados…now it is slightly different, more eyes are open…but as recent as 2005…the black population just like you did not recognize the racism, they understood the apartheid better..I had to intervene a few times and tell them not to let the white scum in Barbados treat them like that…to fight back….do not allow these practices to impact another generation of their children and grandchildren.

    ..and clearly the scum negros and lawyers of parliament and bar asdociation had no intention of ever educating their people or EVER putting an end to it…they were too busy filling up their pockets with bribes…to see or want it to end.

  31. Is Birthright Citizenship in the Constitution? True Daily Staff October 31, 2018

    Donald Trump’s aggressive push to end birthright citizenship is raising Constitutional questions. The answer isn’t clear cut. The Daily Caller reports:

    In the U.S., birthright citizenship traces back to a clause in the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, passed just after the Civil War. The amendment’s citizenship clause states, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States.”

    The clause itself is based on the legal concept of jus soli, or citizenship by “right of soil,” which contrasts with jus sanguinis, or citizenship by familial descent. It has been widely taken to apply to anyone born within U.S. territorial jurisdiction regardless of the immigration status of their parents, with the notable exception of foreign diplomats.

    In its 1898 ruling in the Wong Kim Ark case, the Supreme Court held that the children of non-citizens, when born on U.S. territory, are U.S. citizens by birth. However, the parents in question in the Wong Kim Ark case were legal immigrants, meaning the court did not directly address the status of children born to parents in the U.S. illegally.

    That unanswered question gives Trump room to argue the citizenship clause has been too widely interpreted, according to Johns Hopkins University professor Martha Jones, an expert on birthright citizenship.

    The fact that Trump seems to want to target children born to legal, green-card holding immigrants, and that it would be done through an executive order could be seen as overreaching. However, the questions of the citizenship for illegal aliens’s children is not set in stone and could be clarified with a law.

    A Ferguson activist claims that her son was recently killed by lynching. Melissa McKinnies took to Facebook to share news of her son Danye Jones‘ death. The 24-year-old, who would’ve turned 25 on November 19, was found dead by his mother on October 17.

    In a since-deleted Facebook post, McKinnies shared graphic images of Jones hanging from a tree. The images have since been shared on social media. Unverified accounts from social media accounts claim that police have ruled Jones’ death a suicide. (Both hyperlinks include the graphic images of Jones. Viewer discretion is advised.)

    McKinnies participated in numerous protests in Ferguson following Michael Brown‘s death. She was a former member of Ferguson grassroots activist group Lost Voices according to ColorLines.

    Jones’ death is reminiscent of the string of Ferguson activist deaths that have occurred since 2014. DeAndre Joshua was found in his car with two gunshot wounds to the head the night of the Ferguson verdict in 2014. Two years later, Darren Seals was found dead with two gunshot wounds to the head in his car too. In both instances, the cars were set on fire. In 2017, Edward Crawford, the activist who became viral from an iconic Ferguson protest picture showing him grabbing an active tear gas canister fired from police and throwing the explosive back at them, was found shot to death in his car too. Police believe Crawford shot himself in the back seat of his car either in an attempted suicide or by accident.

    Following Crawford’s death, Missouri state Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal claimed that a murderer was targeting activists in Ferguson on Twitter.”

    You don’t have to wear a “dashiki,” read “back to Africa” books or rant and rave on a daily basis about “white, crooked minorities” to effectively deal with racism in Barbados.

    I deal with racism similarly to you………“quietly and neatly.”

    I refuse to patronise businesses owned by whites, Chinese, Arabs and Indians. These people don’t like me, so why should I spend my money with them?

    If I want “fast food,” my choice is Chicken Barn, rather than Chefette (KFC is too salty and greasy). I recall when a white manager assaulted a black customer of Bizzy Williams’ hardware store, only ONE individual protested publicly, while the assaulted customer returned to shop there. My form of protest was never, ever to purchase anything from that establishment.

    A few years ago I was employed by a white owned establishment and because of a misunderstanding another employee raised with the owner’s son, without waiting for an explanation, he shouted at me. I stood up angrily told him “that type of behaviour don’t work with me.” But the other black employees accepted his abusiveness.

    These white people have a habit of “walking straight” into your office, passing or approaching you to ask questions …….. without knocking, greetings or a simple “excuse me,” ……. I simply ignored them.

    However, do you know some of the most vicious racist attacks, slurs and exhibiting traits of apartheid comes from our own black brothers and sisters. Black people insultingly refer to their brothers and sisters of a darker skin tone as “dark-man” or dark-woman,” or “laughingly” refer to them “he real dark or “gollywog” when describing them?

    Some black people hate their skin colour and “bleaching” themselves is a manifestation of that self-hatred.

    We practice segregation according to schools attended. Students of Queen’s College, Harrison’s College, Combermere and St. Michael’s are famous for this behaviour, when, in their arrogance, they “sperate” themselves from students who attended the newer secondary schools.

    We practice segregation when we categorize people according to the type of car they drive, house in which they reside, school attended, employment……..down to texture of their hair.

    When a black man can proudly say he hates black women and prefers “red” women, to me that is not just a simple case of preference.

    Do you understand why that happened?

    A similar process is at play here, people think they know their history but really they do not.

    People have been brainwashed into thinking Barbados is the centre of the universe and the originator of slave laws in America.

    In fact, America was around long before Barbados and had slaves long before Barbados even existed!!

    The reason black on black racism exists here is because of jealousy and envy dating back to slave days.

    If you listen to historians you would assume that there were only two classes of slaves on a large plantation, House Slaves and Field Slaves.

    In fact this is not true.

    The two classes of slaves on a plantation were Field Slaves and Specially Skilled Slaves.

    You see immediately how the black on black racism and envy arise.

    At emancipation, the Field Slaves were stuck on the plantation, the specially skilled slaves were free to sell their services to whosoever would buy those services.

    Trades like carpentry, masonry, millwright, groom etc. etc. enabled these specially skilled former slaves to move off the plantation to which they had formerly belonged and make a living for themselves and families.

    When emigration opened up to Panama, the US and elsewhere it was those with skills who could make it in the real world and send back remittances to their families left behind.

    It isn’t only special skills that separated early slaves into two classes.

    It was also special circumstances.

    Take King Dial for instance.

    King Dial comes from a family of slaves that had their freedom long before emancipation … in the 1700’s.

    His ancestors found strategies for survival which did not require them to work in the field.

    One for example was a baker in Nelson Street in the late 1800’s.

    King Dial is legendary for his comments some of which were described by Trevor Marshall as racist!!

    I myself watched a bunch of young black Bajans decide to tease and taunt him because he was so different from them.

    He referred to them as “black cattle” I think because he was hitting back at their pedigree.

    He was saying to them your ancestors were never able to leave the fields but mine were!!

    My circumstances might be poor now but I have something inside of me you will never have!!

    … and they understood perfectly … and that creates envy.
