Suleman Bulbulia

Bulbulia said Islam did not preach violence or terrorism and groups like al-Qaeda and ISIS, though claiming Muslim roots, operated outside the teachings of Islam.” Muslims: No terrorists here, headline page 6 article, October 20 Nation

While I believe the accuracy of this article’s headline, actions always speak louder than words. When one considers the current state of world affairs, does it not foster a sense of uncertainty in the general population at the motivations of local Muslims who wish to establish an exclusive Muslim community in Barbados?

Just this summer, many Muslims marched in the streets of London, Paris and other cities to condemn the deaths of Gazans at the hands of Israel. Even in Bridgetown a small group of Muslims, accompanied by Barbados’ patron saint of questionable causes, Mr. David Commissiong, staged a protest. But where are the demonstrations against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria’s horrific, wide-scale slaughter of Christians, Yazidis, Kurds and fellow Muslims?

Yes, many Muslim clerics and Arab leaders have spoken out (again, words) against ISIS’s depraved aggression. But where is the outrage and passion among mainstream Muslims, who should be furious that fanatics have hijacked their religion? Despite their condemnatory words, does this silence on the part of mainstream Muslims, and silence is an action, indicate their tacit approval?

To much of the non-Muslim world, the brutal extremism of Isis, al-Qaeda, Nigeria’s Boko Haram and other Islamic terrorist groups has come to represent Islam. Muslims cannot respond by mildly saying that what the extremists believe “is not Islam” and by dismissing the events in Iraq, Syria and elsewhere as someone else’s problem. Muslims must either reject the Islamic State and groups like it in the clearest possible terms, inclusive of military force, or the rest of the world will come to think of them as masked men with knives, gleefully butchering people in the name of Allah.

he was refused passport they should have let the bastard leave, and then revoked it after he left he would be dead, not one of us and him

  2. Dompey,

The religion which claimed to be Christian and killed people for their beliefs could never be the Christianity of Christ. The Spanish Inquisition could not have the sanction of Christ. God says CHOOSE whom you will serve…anything other than that is man made and please don’t get confused with the Roman Catholic church and the church Christ founded. In Acts one will see how the NT church was set; up. Nothing like the RC church. check the history of Catholicism and compare them with the priests of Baal.

  3. Anne

The Roman Catholic Church and the Church of Christ are grounded upon the same basic tenets. The both of them reverence an eternal moral arbiter who exercises an absolute oversight over our world. Ann, the Roman Catholic Church isn’t some religious entity which stands apart from the body of Christendom. And it was Joshua who said: ” Choose you this day whom ye will serve.” God did not articulated those words Anne. Go to Joshua 24:15 and study please.

  4. @Dompey
Now we know that God heareth not “(Sinners)”, but if any man be a worsipper of God, and doeth His will, him He heareth.
    …………………………………………………………………………………..
But He hath listened to Satan who is the biggest sinner of us all.
    Job Chapter 1 Verses 9 – 14

(The Spanish Inquisition could not have the sanction of Christ. God says CHOOSE whom you will serve…anything other than that is man made and please don’t get confused with the Roman Catholic church and the church Christ founded…)

How is that explanation any different from what Muslims are saying about their religion being highjacked?

I’ll say this the evil that was done under the name of Christianity wasn’t committed by a minority and the majority certainly benefited.

  6. Pat, Christianity was introduced to Africa in the 1st Century and European Economic Slavery begun in the Americas in 15th in Century. So how is it that Christianity was forced upon the enslaved people of African with the instrument of the wipe? When it had been on the African continent prior to the Arab and European enslavements of the African people.

  7. Bulbulia and Mr. Black are you one and the same person? Here’s what a militant Muslim leader has to say about ISIS. He publicly repudiates them . More Muslims around the world must do the same.

GROZNY, October 21. . The leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has offered his interpretation of the current events in the Middle East, in particular, the role of the Islamic State (IS) in the region, and also his opinion of who in reality may be behind the ISIL militants. In particular, Kadyrov argues that the IS is a terrorist organization on the payroll of Western secret services.

“I would ask one and all not to call them Islamic State. They are Shaitans (devils, evil spirits) and their sole obsession is to grab as much money as they can lay hands on. They are acting on orders from the West and deliberately exterminating Muslims,” the press-service of the Chechen leader quotes Kadyrov as saying.

“They have enjoyed support from the Western secret services all along, which are providing them will all essentials. Where do these bandits take money for aircraft and for tens of thousands of sets of full combat gear? Certainly, they are being helped by high-placed people,” Kadyrov said. He urged the ISIL chief to recognize he works for the US intelligence. (Abu Bakr) al-Baghdadi should take off his mask and declare loudly and clearly that he is a CIA agent, that he has been recruited. If he really considers himself a devout Muslim, he must openly confess that he is killing his brothers in faith, to apologize to his coreligionists and to disband his gang. Only then there will be peace. Otherwise they must be wiped out,” Kadyrov said.
Chechen president adds Obama, several EU officials to his own blacklist
The Chechen leader said that all schools, colleges and universities were holding special briefings and awareness promotion lectures to warn young people against joining the ISIL. Kadyrov has called for shutting down the Internet in Chechnya.

“There was a time when I had a dream my republic would have the Internet some day. Now I am for shutting it down. Although in political, economic and social terms it will be a great setback, we will stop killing each other. Each home has access to the Internet. Any person is free to hear wahhabis preach their sermons. This is the reason why our priests are so active in the social networks, too,” Kadyrov said.

  8. Boy Blue

What’s wrong with God listening to Satan spewing his web of deception? That wasn’t question though Boy Blue…. the premise of the scripture is predicated on the fact that: God does not answer a sinner’s prayer. Which in essence simply means from a religious perspective, that when you send your prayers up to the Heavens and you’re doing the work of the Devil, don’t expect an answer from God.

  9. what is the point of the pointers fingering muslims failures when the pointers are without stain or blemish those with out sin cast the first stone, lets face reality in all of mankind there will be those who effortlessly try very hard to do good their best ,while they are others who seek only revenge as a quick way to resolve, ,the Muslims are fighting a battle which they believe through no fault of there own was bequeath upon them , the Christan on the other hand has decided to become judge juror and executioner passing out freely a guilty verdict while casting a vast and wide net on a multitude of people who for the most part had nothing to do with the politics of Muslims vs christains or govts,

  10. I’m repeating the same question because non of the anti-Islam propagandists have responded to my premise:

This article artfully continues the prosecution of 1.7 billion for the actions of an infinitesimal lot. I’m confident that no matter the condemnation of Muslims for egregious acts, it will never suffice those who are committed to exploiting this conflict for purpose of anti-Islam/Muslim vilification and sheer propaganda.

Answer one question, did Al Qaeda, ISIS, ISIL or IS and all the off-shoots exist 30 years ago???

These groups didn’t exist 30 years ago until we along with our partners the Saudis encouraged the same “Jihadist” spirit from all quarters of the world to go to Afghanistan to support their brothers in their fight against the “ungodly” Soviets.

I suspect it will take a decade to face those facts as it has taken us some time to accept the fact that the invasion of Iraq and accompanying carnage was baseless. At what point do we get up the courage to be introspective enough to take some responsibility for an environment that lead to the creation of these groups?

If the religion 1400 years and running is the sole reason for the existence of these groups, then why didn’t they exist prior to the last 20 to 30 years??? ANYONE?

  11. @David
Are you sure that his man isn’t Christian or a Jew? Because stoning is in both the bible and the Talmud.

  12. can’t imagine what we would be looking at if there were videos and cell phones around when Christians were committing crimes of injustices against their fellowman, yeah and how about them slaves and the churches role in the slave trade .the videos of ships laden with iron clad hungry and starving people being hauled to slaughter would have been equally or more revolting as it captures the pain and suffering of not one but thousands upon thousands of black people begging for their lives, what an eyefull that would have been, unfortunately there are no pictures and as a result the church role goes unnoticed and guilt is only handed down to those whose finger prints were established giving only a misrepresentation of a truth which has been kept undercover for years, oh, the beauty of cell phones only wishing there were around sooner rather than later,

  13. @ac
Oh sir, how quickly they forget that sorted, barbarous history that lead the foundation for all that is Europe and America today.

Yup and they went to church every Sunday while heaping the insane devilish kind of torture on the minds and bodies of their victim slaves who happen to be their brothers/sisters in faith(forced converts).

They would rape our women and then sell the fruit of their wombs back into the hell of slavery. Their own offspring, pure unadulterated evil and these were “good ole” christians.

  14. @Dompey
Christianity never penetrated Africa beyond small area outside Egypt and Ethiopia until the European came with the intent of colonization and slavery. The bible was used as a pacifier while they raped the continent.

One of the devils of this horror was Kind Leopold II who committed a genocide of such magnitude that it more than doubled the slaughter of the Jewish holocaust.

  15. @MistaBlack October 21, 2014 at 9:49 PM “Are you sure that his man isn’t Christian or a Jew? Because stoning is in both the bible and the Talmud.”

Actually stoning in in the Bible, the Talmud and the Koran.

Them Middle Easterners violent and miserable as piss. Not one can’t call back the other

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. @MistaBlack October 21, 2014 at 10:37 PM “They would rape our women and then sell the fruit of their wombs back into the hell of slavery. Their own offspring, pure unadulterated evil and these were “good ole” Christians.”

But both you and I know that they were not Christians. they were just money hungry people. Money was their god.

  17. Black

You have the CHEEK and AFFRONTERY to pose a question when you have not addressed anything you have been asked. You speak of “sheer propaganda” – propoganda from whom for what purpose? Why would anyone be Islamophobic UNLESS by reference to what is happening in the world? Now drop the big words, the fluff and articulate your position….and YES answer the questions YOU were asked. But then yes, a true Jihadist – disappear when confronted, lie about whom you are, bury your head and show the world your ass.

Is their any serious difference between the actions of Isis et al and those of Iran and Pakistan in relation to Rushdie and, say, Asia Bibi?

    Dompey

When will you get it into your head that we are NOT talking about OT – that we are really not taking about the past at all. Sure we could debate the Inquisition, the Crusades, the burning of books. But the world has moved on – the problem is that Islam has not. It still stones people in the name of a God who needs no-one’s help if he truly is at the heart of things. Religion is not, cannot be, a front for HUMAN barbarity.

Would it be fair to say that the problem for Islam is that it has no New Testament?

  18. Mistablack

You’re probably correct but the literature tells us that the spread of Christianity throughout Egypt and Northern Africa begun in the First century. And that Christianity was introduced to the Africans through the Egyptian city of Alexandria. But many of the traditional tribal religions were predominent throughout the African continent during this period.

  19. ross ! what a blasphemous excuse…”the world has moved on ” but the past still lives (on) in the lives of those that it has touched be it for the GOOD or for the BAD,,e,g Africa ,

  20. AC, that’s most philosophical thing I have heard someone expressed in quite some time. I often make the comment that, ” The past with its Good and Evil lives in the present.”

  21. Ross

Why all of sudden the Western world seems to have a problem with Islam because Islam seeks to defend itself against Western aggression associated with 9/11. And Why was the moral outcry so latent prior to 9/11?

  22. Homeland Security just declared that the people coming from the countries in West Africa stricken with Ebola, will land at Five selected Airport for screen before enter the United Stated. They’re are getting smarter by the day…..

  23. Dompey

Explain the killing by Islamists of government ministers in Pakistan in terms of 9/11. Explain Rushdie and Bibi in terms of 9/11. Explain the persecution of Christians in terms of 9/11. Explain the kidnapping of hundreds of girls in N Nigeria in terms of 9/11. And then tell me when the buck stops.

And Dompey, instead of repeating the same old, same old why don’t you address the finer points? As with – does Islam need a New Testament.

    ac

As usual you miss the point. We are NOT concerned with the Crusades, OT injunctions and all that. We ARE concerned with human rights, with the ways decent people treat each other. And yeah – we’re not even talking about slavery – for you an irresistible and fallacious reference point for everything. All these things are red herrings to seek to justify the barbaric activities of men who slaughter the innocent in the name of religion and so honour the hole in their heads they call GOD..

  24. What we have is a clash of civilizations, it will be with us until end times. Get use to it.

  25. Ross .of course as usual u. “don” your judgemental hat and robes and decides what is acceptable to society while excusing past injustices executed in the name of “god’by chridtains as irrelvant . Sir it is about time u put that gavel down and rely on relevant facts in forming judgement as history is the bench marker and as a matter of fact the real judge and jury for the execution of what is right or wrong.sir you have been. “overruled”historical facts and events stand as proof

  26. ac

You are spouting nonsense. But tell me – do you condemn or condone the slaughter of innocents by Islamists?

    David

It has always been so. Which is why I think Jack Bowman’s remarks at the beginning of this post are probably the only things worth saying.

  27. robert ross Bullen
Wow, Bullen robert ross trying to litigate an essentially religous matter.

  28. LOL Mr Black…which passport are you using?

  29. Anyone that bullers like you can’t use

  30. Oh I see…so is it apt to describe you as ‘Mr Runaway’? Experience tells me it is.

  31. Bullen robert ross
Why don’t you give us an exclusive about your bulling asshole! Confess and you will be saved!

  32. David – a further thought

If your ‘Get used to it’ is as peremptory as it sounds is there any point in posting ‘Moslem’ stuff?

  33. OK Baby…meet me and we’ll talk about it. But then you aint got the guts for that. ‘Black the Toothless Mouth’ just about sums it up.

  34. Bullen robert ross
No, you do what you suggested right here. Repent Buller!

  35. @ross
it is easier to attack but how about confronting the reality , that no one religious group or govt is without spot or blemish when it comes to human rights violations. of course it is always easier to point and place blame at others bet before one does a pause is necessary from those who are quick to ridicule and villify the actions of others .yes ross there is apart of history which u rather ignore in your quest to condem others. Hav a nice day.bro

  36. Canada’s Parliament on lockdown. MPs in buildings.

  37. The piece was submitted and posted.

  38. David this just shows that while we should be tolerant we still have to be vigilant.

I expect to see increased security .

  39. All Ottawa police stations closed to the public.

There are supposed to be 3 separate shootings in Ottawa.

It is almost surreal watching this unfold.

  40. @ robert ross @David

“…And finally, was I right to refer to you as “Black the Jihadist”? If not, why not?… October 21, 2014 1:39AM

“…But then yes, a true Jihadist – disappear when confronted, lie about whom you are, bury your head and show the world your ass….” October 21, 2014 11:52PM

I never find myself cowed when in an heated debate I may be on the receiving end of ad hominem and even stinging pejoratives, but the repeated posts by “robert ross” that accuse me of being “Black the Jihadist” “a true Jihadist” is a label of international criminality. It has the ability to cause irreparable harm to my person. Hence this is libel.

As in the past, I have asked and ask the person who goes under the name “robert ross” to cease and desist the baseless accusations that claim me, “MistaBlack” “Black” of being a “Jihadist”.

I am NOT nor have I have ever been a “Jihadist”. The shame of this, is that I have succumbed to this harassment by making this formal denial.

I am formally appealing to David, the Blogmaster of “Barbados Underground” to take appropriate actions.

  41. jihadists should be wiped out shootings all over ottawa, enough

  42. @Hants
