In which country does a minority race rule the majority?
In which country does a minority race rule the majority?

At present, there is a discourse on Muslims in Barbados. The following article is submitted in the hope that Barbadians would analyze things for themselves and do some reading and research.

Eighty percent of the  population of the Central African Republic is Christian. The other twenty percent is ostensibly Muslim. Ostensibly because part of the Muslim population is  non-native (illegal from Chad and so on). In the past both  Christians and Muslims lived in harmony. The Muslim rebel commander, Mr.Djotodia in the past sought funding from the “Organization of the Islamic Conference”(OIC) in Saudi Arabia in 2012 to establish a separate country.

According to the “ Wall street Journal” of 21-23 March 2014, Djotodia in a letter to OIC in 2012 stated:” We are going to transform a part of the CAR…into an Islamic republic. We are going to put into place an Islamic regime that will apply Sharia”. This is exactly what he did. He started a coup with the aid of Chad (a Muslim country), which overthrew the government.  Once in power, he burnt down churches and enforced sharia law. How can a minority of less than twenty percent of a population try to enforce its will on the majority?  That is exactly what the Muslims in the CAR did. In Muslim majority countries, non-Muslims have to toe the line, they have no right, one only has to look  at Pakistan.

  1. Good point by the 12PM caller today. A mosque should not be allowed in a residential area which ostensibly is open to all Barbadians.

  2. David

Why not? Supposing a church was being built? But then the very presence of a mosque would deter most Barbadians from purchasing property there. It would be seen – and rightly – as a Moslem enclave and particularly when the background is understood.. (Or is that the caller’s point?)

  3. The point of the caller is that if a mosque is built in a residential area open to all it effective kill non Moslem interest.

  4. @ Hants
…Bushie will try some Sodabix then….?

  5. Hants, am I not entitled to make a mistake? Now done be a stiff one; you knew that I was referring to Elllipsis; Bushie’s best friend.

  6. David, there is a Mosque located in the heart of our residential community, and the only problem the residents have with it, is the bell which makes a loud sound. Nevertheless, I haven’t heard of any case here in America, where the police has targeted Muslims on the basis of their religious convictions. And America is at war with Islam; isn’t that unusual given the track record of this country?

  7. The only good muslim is a dead one

  8. Well, well, well.

It seems that if it flies it is a bird…..butterflies, bees, mosquitoes, wasps. Someone, please, help this man.

  9. These people are taking over or trying to take over the whole world, with their sharia law, women has no rights, Men can marry as much women as as they see fit. If steps are not made right now to arrest this moslim/muslim nonsense and stop giving way to their way of life, we would hsve no life of our own.

The Guyanese of African-extraction also feels the same way about the East Indian. As does the Native American for the White man. Now, is this the kind of legacy we want to leave for the future of the human race?

    BIRD

any warm-blooded vertebrate of the class Aves, having a body covered with feathers, forelimbs modified into wings, scaly legs, a beak, and no teeth, and bearing young in a hard-shelled egg.

  12. Alphonza

It was common practice in the Roman Empire, to married a girl as young as eight years of age, and consummated the marriage at twelve years of age.

    Alphonza

A lot of the Islamic teachings came from the Hebrew Scriptures. Abraham, patriarch of the Nation of Israel married his second wife Sarah, who was his haft-sister on his father side of the family. A practice which was permitted in the Old Testament, but would be looked upon as taboo and incestuous today.

  13. Alphonza

So before you seek to condemn Islam for its mistreatment of women, it is important that you study the history of the patriarchical predominance in the Western societies. I have read it, and I know for a fact that when the Constitution of United States of America was written, is wasn’t written with the woman in mind. She had no rights because she was considered the properity of the male, who by law could have beaten her as one would beat a child, if he or she misbehaved. Prior to 1830 no university in America would accept a woman. And in 1920 she finally won the right to vote on the national level after must pain and struggle brother. I could go on and on but what different would it make to those who may have thought that America was this oasis of liberty.

And the year is now 630ad…..? And the 20c was when?

It cannot be supposed that this post has gone under the Moslem radar. Despite being invited to contribute there is blanket silence…not even the Jihadist MrBlack or any of the other apologists..

In particular, the question was raised whether Sharia is practised in Barbados. Well, we know it is at the level of the dress code for females. But how much further does it extend? The silence seems to suggest much further. This should be a matter of concern for all citizens and most especially for the Government – for it follows that there is an alien legal system at the heart of the body politic, a legal system which will now work in what in practice will be an exclusive Moslem enclave.. We sleep at our peril…..

Once again then, I invite the Moslem community to respond to this issue.

No one is disputing the definition of a bird. All I am simply saying is that Bible defines the Bat as a bird. Now, I am sure the Bible being around before the above definition was constructed. AC, how would you define the Duct Billed Platypus, it is a mammal which lay eggs?

  16. Bajans I gave you permission to write the book a while ago, go back and check, I shall be home in January also. I would like to heard from JuJu and the others. I just came in from Port Hope pick up some goodies from a bakery” fresh..” and taste good. .

In a democratic society, a citizen is as liberty to worship as he or she sees fit ,whether is be: Secular humanism, Atheism, Theism, Existentialism, Agnotism, Buddhism, Hinduism or Scientology etc, but if anything within the above mentioned religious convictions wars against the better good of the society, it ought to be dealt with by the legislative as well as the judicial arms of government.. Good Night!

  18. And if Sharia law undermines the values of given society then it ought to be dealt with accordingly. Slavery produced an undemocratic order in America, for some four hundred years and yet ,the majority felt that the enslavement of the Subhuman African was morally acceptable.

  19. Dompey

I’m afraid you’re missing the point.

  20. @ David
This Lucas boy! Telling a former chief town planner that he should stick to his area of competence. At the same time his food science degree/s allows him to speak on matters he is not known to have any competences, capabilities or skills in. We have a list of the top 20 specialists in this are, and the is nobody named Lucas amongst them.

Pray tell! How could this man profess to be learnt and a promoter of specialization on the one hand. Then proceeds to speak on a subject (Ebola) for which he has no known competence. Then speak to another matter, Islam and Muslims, again without breadth or depth.

And we are to take him serious. Following his own edit, Lucas should be properly constrained to the food sciences. When he arrives at that strongest ground is when we shall engage him and defeat him as the charlatan he is.

  21. @Pacha

He is entitled to use his trained mind to bear on any issue to share his opinion.

  22. @ David
Does that extend to saying who has that same right? This is the real problem we have with credentialed idiots who believe they know something. We’ve found these are genuine jack asses, most times!

  23. @Pacha

With respect your last comment smacks of a generalisation.

we are no longer on the law, we are under grace

  25. Barbados is a Christian society.Muslims will not accept our way of life whether good, bad or indifferent. All Muslims are fanatics, repeat all Muslims are fanatics. There are murderers waiting to be called to Jihad.50 years from now, unless something is done to rid Barbados of these social misfits, they will over run this island nation as they have done in other places where they found shelter from the atrocities of their native countries.
Fortunately for them current Barbadian politicians are dolts and jackasses who can’t see beyond their politics.Fools.One day the average bajan will rise up and take matters in their own hands.

  26. Gabriel, Do you think this can happen in JAMAICA/

  27. I wonder if the same thing could happen in Barbados? It truly amazes me that fellow citizens of any country are prepared to murder their own fellow citizens on the alter of religion.

  28. There appears to be a growing tide of anti-Muslim sentiments across many countries in Europe. The culmination of such sentiments appear to have emboldened the remnants of right-wing fascists to go as far as fire- bombing mosques. Germany has, recently, experienced an alarming surge in anti-Muslim marches and demonstrations on their streets.

It remains to be seen whether this phenomenon becomes entrenched within a Europe which has always had relatively powerful right-wing movements.

Where others lead Barbados normally follows. Could such events be replicated in Barbados? I hope not.

  29. You guys seem to be blissfully unaware with what is happening in Europe amongst a “minority” of so-called disaffected muslims.

Your isolationist mentality shocks me to the core. Don’t say that you have not been warned.

Of course we are aware of what is taking place in Europe, especially in France and Germany. It is expected that the Jihadists will spread their terror to the capital cities of Europe to open a military front in the formation and expansion of IS.

The question is what would be the response from the far right groups. Would Marine Le Pen or her successor become the next President of La Republique de Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité? Would there be retaliatory attacks on Muslims and Islamic places of worship and culture?
Who would the neo-Nazis and skin heads in Europe support?

What would happen in Greece. Would Islamophobia spread to UK cities? How would it impact on air travel and economic recovery?

A big war is long overdue under the pretext of fighting for religious sanctity like the good old crusaders marching in their God’s different armies of killing and plunder.

I am waiting to see if an exemption will be accorded to the muslin community.

“I am waiting to see if an exemption will be accorded to the muslin community.”

    Good point.
If they are so accorded the privilege of men wearing flip flops and women wearing veils to totally hide their identities then Rasta brethren should follow suit to show the close connection to Jah and Mother Earth while Pentecostal Christian women should do the same to hide their beauty reserved only for the husbands, real or imagined.
    T
his whole religious shit is getting out of hand, now!
We wonder what the local Islamic apologist like MistaBlack has to say about what is taking place in Paris and which would soon spread to cosmopolitan Europe and UK.
Who the hell is this Muhammad any way? An old fashioned type of Kim Jong-il? If the man is so unique in his apotheosis why not stop all Muslims boys from using his name?

I am waiting to see if an exemption will be accorded to the muslin community.

No exceptions should be granted to anyone, because the dress codes that some IDIOTS are attempting to enforce in government offices are a set foolish rules designed by civil servants with way to much time on their hands. The dress codes should be scraped forthwith. Imagine a 22 year old security guard telling an old woman to tek off she head tie before she is “ALLOWED” to pay her land or municipal taxes…or telling some nice looking elderly returning national to tek off he short pants…just when de man return from 40 years of having to cover up in London and just glad to get li’l sun on he legs.

  34. And not only in the government service but in the private sector too. Just the other day at Scotia Bank, Wildey I witnessed a security guard demanding that a young man (black of course) take off his cap, while in the same line stood a muslim man with his white skull cap on and not a fella tell he to tek it off. And mind you the young black man was wearing his cap on backwards as all young stylish black man do. So therefore it was not as though the cap was obscuring his face…it was not.

And by the way the young black man was carrying his toddler…and maybe I have missed something but I have not yet heard of young black Bajan men doing bank robberies while carrying their toddlers.

So if it wasn’t a security issue can Scotia bank tell us whether it was an issue of religious discrimination, or racial discrimination, or gender discrimination?

And does Scotia Bank’s head office know that their bank hires security guards not to provide security but to discriminate against Bajans on the basis of color, gender, religion etc…and would this be lawful in Canada where Scotia Bank’s head office is situated?

And then people wonder why young black men are angry? f you were insulted for wearing your normal clothes would you not become angry after a while?

Since government office have instituted the no head tie rules I make it my business ALWAYS to wear a head tie when doing business at a government offices.

Nobody has refused to take my (money) income tax, land tax, municipal tax, road tax or driver’s license fee yet…because if they send me home to tek of my head tie I ain’t coming back.

    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………
In an army cookhouse once where it is traditional to remove one’s headdress while dining, a soldier of English origin was asked to remove his beret. He did ,but pointed to another solder of Asian origin, and asked the Duty Sgt, ” Are you going to ask him to remove his turban ,as well.” Of course not. Even in the rigid military, they get away with this.

  36. The only dress codes should be based on security, health, and well established laws against indecent exposure.

Rule 1: Nothing obscuring your face.

Rule 2: Cover ya privates so that none of your bodily fluids leak onto the people’s furniture etc.

Rule 3: Cover ya doggies and pussies, and bubbies so that you are not indecently exposed.

    Everything else is NONSENSE.

Imagine in hot, hot Barbados some fools want to tell people not to wear armholes (by that do they mean sleeveless garments? and if they mean sleeveless garments why don’t they say sleeveless garments?) And what is wrong with sleeveless garments in the tropics?

And it would be nice if in these offices with all these foolish rules we actually had decent toilets, which were always stocked with toilet paper and with that modern miraculous discovery…soap?

I can’t tell you how many times I have gone to the QEH and there was no toilet paper, nor soap in the public bathrooms, and yet foolish [un]civil servants have the time to write rules about armholes and headties?

No soap in a large public hospital…now that is truly scary, much, much scarier than a young man with a backwards cap in a bank line.

Much scarier than an old lady in a head tie paying her taxes.

  37. Here in the UK there is great concern about Islam and her followers. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the UK. This is down primarily to the large growth of Muslim immigrants in the UK, who have much higher fertility rates than the rest of the population. I should also add that there are large numbers of British people who are converting to the Muslim religion. Of which, there is a disturbingly high number of British Caribbean people who are becoming Muslims. This is due primarily to the high number of black prisoners who undergo conversion whilst in prison.

What does the future hold? I don’t know. However we are in for a real difficult ride.

Barbados should study, carefully, developments in the UK and elsewhere as a precaution. What happens in the UK will at some stage wash up on the shores in Barbados.

  38. I have no problem with Muslims and I understand that it is extremists who are the guilty parties. However I have had to challenge two banks, one Canadian and one Trinidadian, on the issue of sunglasses, helmets and the dress of Muslim women. I was told that once they can see the eyes they are satisfied. I asked one manager at the Canadian bank if the wearing of a helmet without a visor would be a problem and she said there should be no helmets. I am therefore not surprised about the cap incident spoken about here. We seem to be bending over backward and doing cartwheels to accommodate them while discriminating against the non-Muslim majority. I am in the process of severing my relationship with the Canadian bank because of the drivel fed smugly to me by the manager. We need to stand up for our rights! This profiling of the majority of the population as potential threats while exempting the minority Muslims needs to stop. We are all potential threats.

  39. On admission to the QEH a few years ago I was surprised to see a male in the bed opposite mine. I enquired of a staff member and was told that the male ward was full and that the man was old, practically deaf and blind and unable to move. He was not therefore a threat to my modesty. I relented based on her assurances that only men such as these were allowed. Shortly after that a Muslim woman was admitted and placed a few beds away from the man. I watched to see what would happen. Sure enough before nightfall a bed was found in another ward for that old and helpless gentleman. Then the Muslim lady was discharged. Again I watched to see what would happen. A few hours later a man not yet forty was placed opposite me in the bed that the old man had occupied. He could see, he could hear and only had a broken leg. This time I stood firm but was told that since it was close to lights out they would move me further away to another bed and move the young man in the morning. Had I been Muslim I’m sure he would not have been placed there in the first place. I submit that their religion should not afford them better treatment than the rest of us. We should all be treated equally.

  40. Muslims want western countries to accommodate them, but they are unwilling to do the same. Islam is hatred and criminality under the guise of religion. They are nothing more than illiterate folks, and illiteracy is more than the inability to read and write. The whole of Africa is under the subjugation of this “PEACEFUL” so-call religion. The double standards is very glaring at the banks. I too have asked myself when I enter Nova Scotia, do the rules apply to muslims. I hope one day that the spiritual blindness will be removed from them. They are willing to kill people for a drawing of a man that according to tradition was nothing more than a pedophile…SMH.

perhaps the problem is that Bajan authorities are not only brass bowls, but also shiites…. 🙂
