Personally, I think considering that is now established that women are outstripping men professionally, academically and financially, we can finally finish with this foolishness of trying to look like one of the guys to be taken seriously. It is just fine to look like a woman and embrace style and attractive cuts and colours because woman a run tings now more than ever and that trend is only set to continue. So the dictates of professional style should be set by and looked at from a feminine perspective.

Maybe it’s just a coincidence but … look!

    Mia has matured nicely. She will be PM 2013. This last election was a good one to loose.

    The BLP has enough time to think about reinventing the party. The time for the old politics is done. Already Barbadians are starting to question the 5 month old Thompson government because they came to power on a platform of change but so far there is no indiction that change is on the horizon.

    So far Mia has been spouting the same hold rhetoric, no change there either.

    BU needs to help out its party, the DLP, not to worry about Mottley.

    Show the DLP how to deliver the subsidised diesel to the PSV in a time efficient and convenient manner instead of having to go to one of 3 transport board depots.

    Help the DLP to explain how to identify the “poor” people that will get to buy the cheap imported chicken sold by BADMC.

    Show the DLP how to reduce the cost of living not increase it.

    Help them to explain what is different about the QEH today as opposed to what obtained in December, 2007.

    Show them where the Dominican vegetables have gone to and why these are not here yet.

    Explain to your supporters why the PM is traveling so much. Where is he now?

    How come 3S still on the job?

    What is Hartley Henry’s salary that is paid from the public purse? How much is Peter Boyce getting for his work with Crop Over? Was his contract advertised?

    Forget about Mottley, the DLP is doing enough to keep the blog going.

    The reality for you maybe too much to bear but that does not change the fact that this is life and this is the way your friends in past gov’t operated, one scam after the other all the way down the line from the owing the PM stealing from us to office gov’t workers stealing from us, a classic example is owing and VECO and DANOS and Leo Brewster at Costal along with his girlfriend. It streched across the spectrum og levels in gov’t.
    I have not even touched on the Mottley moraless issue and who she last had admitted to Hospital as a result of her violence towards her sexual partners, that is a matter for her to address if she wants to ever become a viable choice for the post of PM.

    BU I am a little concerned at the clearly sexist AND homophobic tone of your articles about Mia Mottley. Mia has always presented herself in a professional way while at work. I dont see what could possible be the significance of what you have posted above other than to define a woman by what you BU thinks a woman should look like! And who gives you the right to determine what is feminine or not? And what is the significance to her ability to perform the job?

    Clearly gossip mongering and character assassination should not be what BU is about ? or maybe not?

    when the BLP was in power there was rumblings about this country being first world based on our economy and infrastructure not about the sexual pratices or behaviour of our public servants we tend to stick our heads in the sand or turn a blind eye to these things we cannot assume first world status without addressing these things

    me welcome to Mia in the spotlight. We came across the images of Mia on another blog which we found interesting and we decided to highlight on BU. We find the pics very attractive actually.

    On Mia we find her to be very intelligent and articulate. We have stated such before. As leader in waiting she will come under the microscope more and more, it cannot be avoided me so get use to it. If one commenter in your opinion besmirches what you know she stands for you have equal opportunity to offer a rebuttal.

    I trust that many of you loyal blp supporters are finally awaking to the fact that this same party that you use to worship is being unravelled as the crooks we know them to be.

    Today the house was hushed when the PM revealed that part one of the Forensic Audit is in hand and it clearly suggest that legal proceedings needs to be begun, they have also suggested that it would be correct to beging a part two of this same Forensic Audit to delve deeper into the going ons at this dirty mess that Mascot and arthur were part of.

    It is high time that these scamps are dealt with firmly and from the report of the Forensic Audit it has removed any doubt that fraud existed or that those involved should be sent to the DPP.

    I must praise the new Gov’t under the leadership of the Prime Minister The Hon David Thompson for bringing this matter before the people in the time frame that is as quick as it was done.

    While this investigation is on going we are also hearing of other Forensic Audits being agreed to in other Gov’t Dept, but right around the corner is the correction of the madness that went on at Coastal and Leo Brewster and his companion, I have no sympathy for those that steal and MAKE THE TAXPAYERS PAY FOR THEIR GOOD TIMES.

    I heard David Thompson today and surely Mia must now say something abut the whole Hardwood issue. Her behaviour in the House over Hardwood was attrocious and contributed greatly to the BLP’s loss. David Thompson totally decimated her in the dying days of the BLP.

    Go and check Mia’s declining popularity in the opinion polls, in her constituency and even in the BLP. They don’t want the public to know that Owen Arthur proposed Dale Marshall as Leader of the Opposition and he had the numbers. But Mia said, “If he is leader, prepare for a By-election!”

    Truth to tell, Mia will be nearly 50 in 2013 and those who want her can have her but I guarantee you this will not be a one-term government.

    And can you imagine that political grasshopper Clyde Mascoll replacing the loyal and bright Ezra Alleyne as the BLP’s nation columnist? Where are the Bees going?

    The Mia Mottley and Clyde Mascoll relationship is one which will be watched very carefully. Mascoll’s low keyed involvement in the politics of Barbados post general election should call for some analysis given his prominent role in the previous government and how he got there. The current standoff where he and Mia are saying very little is interesting to say the least.

    News reaching me states that mottley was the only blp member to sit thru and face The Hon Prime Minister David Thompson during his delivery of his speech on HARDWOOD HOUSING.

    Reports reaching me state that she was the happiest person in the house as the licks flowed, so much so that at the end of the sitting she asked if the Gov’t had anything else on him meaning arthur, she must be in her glee to hear both arthur and Mascott being exposed for what they are frauds but if I were her I would not go overboard with her enjoyment as she has many questions that she needs to reply to as well.

    I am not sure that it is a public document as yet but it has been circulated to the EGFL Directors as they were part and parcel of this fraud.

    Maybe we can ask a few questions and see if a copy can be obtained for the public to see, what will even more damming is the decision to start phase 2 of the Audit and the move to send the revelant files to the DPP for further attention.

    Lets hear about Leo Brewster and when he and his girlfriend will be charged for the million dollars in fraud that they have been involved in?

    What about the one at Sanitation that has robbed us there as well?

    Lets hear about the Hallam Nicholls , Glyne Bannister, Owing Arthur scam that they played on us with VECO and the DANOS 3 S scam?

    Let us hear about 5 other Forensic Audits that have been ordered?

    Let us understand that in excess of $ 2 Million of our taxpayers dollars was given out to blp cronies in consultant fees, to the likes of clows and idots like Henderson Bovell to call in radio programs?

    Do not expect to start crying now and for everything to evaporate and go away, it will not, the CORRUPT MORALESS BLP RAPED this country blindly and they and their friends MUST NOW PAY IT BACK TO THE TREASURY IF NOT DIRECTLY TO PRISON THIS MUST GO.

    It appears that Mr Hammy Lashley is taking a pounding from Mottley on his recent stance with regard to the giving to the tenants the houses that they have paid for over 20 years.

    I find that you are hoping and praying like the rest of us that by saying that they will not send one or two of them to Dodds maybe the motivation to make sure that they do indeed do so ???

    You will also be surprised to know just how far some investigations have proceeded and the advice given to the administration by leading lawyers as to what should happen next, how can you not charge persons for collecting money to build and repair houses and nothing is done to the house nor is one built.

    We should not overlook the person for signing off on a multi million dollar overrun only because the person running the program has trucks working on the project and a girlfriend working in the accounts department of the same department of Gov’t.

    The Urban Commission was a den of theft starting at the officers in the office right thru to the Chairman and Director where the awarding of contracts started at a price tag of $ 1,000.00 and up the 1, 2 , 3 men as they were called.

    Can we turn a blind eye to Booza employed by the NSC and also running a catering business and then has the gall to charge the NSC the huge sum of $ 40,000.00 to provide less than a 100 dinners for an event.

    How can you overlook Peter Odle being given the contract for Sherbourne and where he is allowed to cater for all his private catering events for Island Caterers islandcaterers@caribsurf.com out of the operation of the Gov’t at Sherbourne.

    Or the scam that Nicholls, PETER HARRIS and OWING worked on us to approve the importation of 2,500 SLOT MACHINES that are now being littered all around this island affecting the poorer classes on this island that can least afford another hit.
    I can assure those doubting ones to rest assured that you will see persons going before the court system for theft against the taxpayers.

    This is not business as usual it is far from that program with the likes of Mascot, Owing, Bannister, Shorey, Wilkinson, Cox and Nicholls being put under the microscope.
