Daggering Jamaican style
Daggering Jamaican style

There is a very disturbing trend which is gathering momentum in Barbados. If BU were to follow our sense of where it has its origin, all indicators point to Jamaica.

There must be a good reason why the Creator designed a woman’s vagina to be secreted away behind the protective lips of the vulva with additional protection between the legs. It seems the height of ignorance that any ‘woman’ would want to bend over (6:30 or not), to expose her vagina to violent humping – usually administered by a but not always the case.

BU agrees with those who believe that the wholesale adoption by Barbadian youth mostly of this silly and irrelevant sub culture, reflects poorly on our ability to effectively educate our young people. Why would any man want to bang that part of the woman’s ‘sweet spot’? In the name of freedom of expression it seems we are clueless as a society about how to arrest the rising popularity of this base behaviour. BU believes when the Democratic Labour Party government essays that it wants to build a society, curbing the unholy practice of bumping an unprotected vagina MUST be treated as abuse of a high priority. We must protect the ignorant from themselves.

Several persons have reacted on social media to a photograph of Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Hon. Roger Clarke purported to show the Minister dancing with a woman at a PNP meeting at the Port Antonio High School on Sunday evening. The Minister is shown on his toes with his pelvis against the woman’s buttocks, holding on to her with onlookers in the background. Comments included: “Dis a wa dem do while the economy a sink”, “look like two hog a juk!”. Several memes were generated including one comparing the Minister and the lady to two mating cows.

  1. @Robert Ross “CODDLE THE CLITORIS

Since you don’t have a clitoris you better be careful about this coddling thingy.

  2. @David “So far we have had no suggestions on how we can protect the vaginas”

Dear David: As long as the vaginas are attached to adult consenting women they need no protection for you nor from anybody else. Just as the penises of adult consenting men need no protection from anybody.

  3. NO to ethics, morals ,sense of self……..

    hypocritical joker

  4. @lawson September 4, 2013 at 7:33 AM “Sad story in the nation this morning, a 16 yr old and an 18 yr old trying to hold a family of three more children together, dad dead mum in mental [hospital]”

I am surprised that there is no mention that Grace Showan called the Child Care Board. The children 16 and younger need to be taken into care by the Child Care Board. The 18 year old boy needs to go to the live-in National Youth Service program. That way everybody is fed and sheltered, the younger children received supervision, the young man learns a trade. If and when the mother gets better and finds work, then her children can again be released to her care. We cannot have unemployed 16 to 18 year olds deciding that their sibling should not go into care.

  5. When the Davids, Roberts etc of this world talk about protecting the vaginas it makes me wonder don’t ALL men DO THE SAME THING to consenting vaginas.

Is there ANY man in the world who puts a vagina on a shelf and leaves it there untouched?

Experience is a wonderful thing and the answer to a maiden’s prayer.

  7. “I will be the first to expose”

Well Well, what are you exposing this week?

  8. Exposing dishonest, thieving, corrupt sell out lawyers like yourself.

  9. Simple Simon……….i really see no good reason why this family has to be split up, whenever the mother recovers she will be faced with an even worse financial problem given the economic climate that was allowed to deteriorate to the current state, that was no fault of the mother. Splitting them up at this stage will cause more trauma, i know there are coldhearted people on the island who don’t care about children being traumatized, but creating more problems will only add more problems, most times social services i know try to keep the families together.

  10. It appears that there is no responsible adult available to keep this family together. No I do not consider an 18 year old as being competent/responsible enough to take care of 5 younger siblings. The Child Care Board provides excellent care to children who are without their parents. Of course more Bajans should volunteer to be foster parents, but that is another story and I won’t go there today. But if one parent is dead and the other is in the hospital, and there are no grandparents or aunts willing and able to provide care, then the best option is to provide state funded care for the children, and the Child Care Board is the agency to do that. The older sibling can be provided with liberal access/visitation with his younger siblings. And we should provide the opportunity for the 18 year old young man to learn a trade or skill so that later he can provide for himself and his siblings. The National Youth Service provides an excellent service where teenaged youth can live-in and learn a trade or skill and/or complete their secondary school education. 18 years olds routinely separate themselves from their families of birth in order to go to university, join armies etc., or start family life. So separating an 18 year old from his family of birth is NOT a big deal. Three of my siblings left home at age 18-19, and fifty+ years on they are all fine and so am I. I was less than 2 when the eldest left home, and in my early teens when the others left. Of course I missed my siblings but we all survived and we all THRIVED.

  11. Less we forget the Panama Canal was built by Bajans many of whom left home for good at age 18. This is the statistic, and you can verify with the Archives if you wish. 40% of Bajan men aged 18 to 40 left home for good in order to build the Panama Canal. The Panama Canal the greatest construction project the Western Hemisphere so far was built with the labour of Bajan and other Caribbean TEENAGERS. It was not built by our elderly Panama men.
Many of our 18 to 23 year old siblings got on the Suriento and other ships in the 1950’s and travelled 4,000 miles to the U.K. in order to find work.
This business of coddling late adolescents, and treating them like little children will be our downfall. If an 18 year old in not in school he/she should be in work or in training to WORK.

  12. If the man in the photo is the Minister of Agriculture, it might help if he eats more of that fresh delicious produce that Jamaica is justly famous for.

And what’s a little daggering between two consenting middle aged adults?

CAN YOU INFORM THE BLOGMASTER THAT “DAGGERING” IS MORE LIKELY TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PENIS AND SCROTAL CONTENTS THAN TO THE VAGINA, WHICH IS AN INTERNAL FIBROMUSCULAR TUBE

  14. If politicians must dagger then let them do it in public on a Sunday evening with ALL THEIR CLOTHES ON.

Right now, this minute, 10:22 p.m. on Thursday 5 September 2013, how many of our politicians are daggering in private with ALL THEIR CLOTHES OFF and with a person NOT THEIR WIFE.

    How many David?

  15. Penises are not weapons. Penises can be injured and penises are injured. In fact it is far easier to injure a penis that it is to injure a vagina.

Poor penises. They have no protection at all. They hang out there (or stick out there) just waiting to be pulled, yanked, bitten, slapped, stepped on etc.

A little daggering between consenting adults cannot hurt a vagina, and the couple enjoys some healthy fun exercise.

As long as children and non-consenting parties are kept out of the big people business, no harm done.

  16. @GP

If the symbolism of the piece eludes you just give it a rest. Your point has been made, no need to try to harangue anyone like others try to do.

  17. BEING A DUMMY the symbolism of the piece eludes ME.

JUST AS THE VERY BASIC ANATOMY SEEMS TO ELUDE YOU
FROM A YOUNG SCHOOL BOY I WAS TAUGHT TO STRIVE FOR ACCURACY.

AND MY ANATOMY ON THIS BLOG IS 100% ACCURATE!

WHAT EVER IS the symbolism of the piece IT COULD HAVE BEEN MADE WITH ACCURACY.

  18. @David “no need to try to harangue anyone like others try to do.”

I hope that you don’t mean me.

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. @ Georgie Porgie

I have to rise here (and given that this piece is about penises and daggering, i hope no one will use this opportunity to speak ill of “the piece of equipment that is now a water spout”)

“WHAT EVER IS the symbolism of the piece IT COULD HAVE BEEN MADE WITH ACCURACY.”

I recall some time in the recent past you submitted an observation on a “piece of mine” that regrettably was not so accurate and Pat commented on this passing failing, sine ascribing any “lack of accuracy” to your faux pas.

My point being that “to err is human, and while other commenters might not have the benefit of your expansive medical knowledge, so to you will have some deficit in areas of linguistics or language that some others excel in.

GP, let it slide, and be gracious with it.

If I were the Minister in this picture (note is made that i did not speak of Minister Sealy and his feeble attempt to dance with the Brazilians) I am sure that at my age (i) if this daggering was possible for my osteoporotic frame that (ii) the rough bumping would have been of little consequence to my “once hammer” and scrotal contents formerly goadies

One suspects you are one of those “Barbadians” who have been fortunate enough to use his or her escapologist and eschatological skills to exit from the local cocoon of myopic ignorance of life’s rainbow of cultural variegation of knowledge and ignorance or light and darkness.

Your ‘intellectual sense of humour’- informed with the Solomon-like wisdom of ecclesiastical folly is just the infusion to a new beginning for those in the queue looking toward enlightenment.

    Blessings, Oh Sage!
May Light perpetual shine always on YOU, both now and then!
