Global chatter on all the news feeds – both traditional and social media – is about the withdrawal of Biden from the race for president of the United States on the weekend. He immediately endorsed his faithful Vice President Kamala Harris, a Black female.

The blogmaster does not see Harris beating Trump based on the current lay of the political land but there is time for that to change. Her selection of a running mate AND further developments from court decisions affecting Trump may have influence on the race.

    Bushie missed the part where Vance disputed that RIGHT.

    Where he seems to have a key issue, is with “misguided millennial journalists” who he accused of denigrating those women who DID make the CHOICE to become mothers… and doing so on Mother’s Day…

    Clearly he is of the opinion that the choice of motherhood SHOULD be the preferred one for women, …BUT surely you agree that HE has that right.

    Peolple have all kinds of ‘RIGHTS’ … including the right to have children, to smoke, drink alcohol, to support political parties, and even to adopt brassbowlery.. as we have in Brassbados.

    But SURELY bushy (and Vance) MUST have the right to criticize their choices … and to cuss their donkeys.

    Is this the blog where I get to mention that I have a son? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 He is the one with the two cats. Oh dear! That would make him a miserable cat lady! Then again, he does have three dogs as well.

    It is SILLY for anyone to make a ‘broad criticism’ of women who don’t have children, without even considering those who are struggling with infertility issues, such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, fallopian tube obstruction, polycystic ovary syndrome or poor nutrition.

    What about women who made a ‘moral decision’ not to have sex before marriage and have not yet found their ‘soul mates?’

    And, of course, females also have a right to choose whether or not they want to have children.

    Ironically, there are men who don’t want children either.

    I myself never planned to have children. I saw how hard it was to be a parent and wondered how they managed. Then too I saw mothers who lost their children literally and also through death and did not think I could bear it. Losing them, I thought, would be worse than their being dead. Not knowing would be the worst. I’d NEVER stop searching. My every waking moment would be so consumed.

    Then my son decided to make his appearance and all my reservations were proven to be well-founded. It is scary being a parent in this crazy world, more scary than it was for my parents.

    Thankfully, though it was indeed hard to be a parent, it was also the most fun I’ve had in my entire life. The next most fun thing was spending time with other people’s children.

    I still don’t think I could carry on if he went missing or died though. No, I see how at all.

    If I didn’t have my son, far from being a miserable cat lady, I would have been surrounded by other people’s children and caring about the world just as much as I do now.

    By his words, JD Vance has revealed that he only has the capacity to care for his own children.

    I hope you don’t mind my relating it through my own experience, but I believe it relevant to the topic.

    Women can care very deeply for the future of other people’s children. Childless women are not all miserable cat ladies trying to make the world as miserable as they are. Some of them are actually out trying to save the world.

    “Trump Boasted He Could Get Evan Gershkovich Released from Russia if Re-elected”

    The former president had boasted repeatedly that he could get the reporter freed right away on the basis of his relationship with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia.

    Former President Donald J. Trump turned the imprisonment of Evan Gershkovich into a campaign issue about three months ago, after facing criticism in March — when The Wall Street Journal correspondent marked one year in prison — for not demanding his release.

    Mr. Trump has boasted repeatedly that he could get Mr. Gershkovich, 32, freed right away, saying that his relationship with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia would ensure the release AS SOON AS HE WON the U.S. presidential election in November. He also claimed, without evidence, that Russia was probably demanding billions of dollars in ransom.

    Mr. Trump’s most high-profile statements on the issue came during the debate with President Biden in June. “I will have him out very quickly, as soon as I take office, before I take office,” Mr. Trump said, without mentioning Mr. Gershkovich by name. “As soon as I win the election, I will have that reporter out.”

    Aside from his statements made during the debate, Mr. Trump had repeated similar thoughts about freeing Mr. Gershkovich on Truth Social, his social media platform, as well as in interviews.

    “Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, will do that for me, but not for anyone else, and WE WILL BE PAYING NOTHING!” one post said.

    Before such statements, The Wall Street Journal had published an editorial questioning why Mr. Trump had remained silent on the issue, while the Biden campaign accused him of avoiding any criticism of Mr. Putin.

    Mr. Biden, in a news conference delivered from the White House while surrounded by family of the freed prisoners on Thursday, was asked about Mr. Trump’s claims that he could get prisoners released without a swap.

    Mr. Biden responded, “Why didn’t he do it when he was president?”

    Mr. Gershkovich was not in custody when Mr. Trump was president, but others, including Mr. Whelan, were.

    Apparently, Putin released the journalist for Biden as well.

    Putin’s relationship or lack thereof could have done nothing for Trump

    Foolishness! There are varios reports but Gershkovich might have been just one of up to 24 prisoners or such persons exchanged today.

    Also, spys and others from Belarsus and other NATO countries were also included in the deal.

    Trump is a CUNT. Everything he pretends to be able to do in a day or an hour is ignorance based on the complexities alone. Sensible people should look to his feckless performances last time around as an indicators to more of the same from him.

    Even Putin had opined about the diplomatic, security, complexities.

    All the major media houses will get pols down (and attach their name) by those legitimate polling companies so citing that it’s NYT is pure BS.

    The 538 group also does an aggregate averaging of polls and that too (as I recall) gave very good and not so good news for the Harris campaign.

    Another reputable group Cook Political Report also recently moved key states back into play and trending towards Harris.

    Yes it’s still tough for Harris but it’s definitely not as tough as would have been for Biden… so you guys are doing your darndest to MUDDY the waters.

    Simply stated everything is withing that magical margin of error … BUT #45 has much, much more work to do
