Your message to the BLOGMASTER was sent

Global chatter on all the news feeds – both traditional and social media – is about the withdrawal of Biden from the race for president of the United States on the weekend. He immediately endorsed his faithful Vice President Kamala Harris, a Black female.

The blogmaster does not see Harris beating Trump based on the current lay of the political land but there is time for that to change. Her selection of a running mate AND further developments from court decisions affecting Trump may have influence on the race.

Stay tuned!

  1. Our Russian friends are describing the removal of Joe Biden and the installation of Kamala Harris as a COUP.

Indeed, its no less a coup than those run hundreds of times by America itself, the CIA.

When they add the attempted assassination of Trump, in their minds introduces a level of disfunction akin to the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Then when the political, economic, social, technological, legal and environmental problems, across the board are added, in their minds, the gravest of crises, including the use of strategic nuclear weapons, becomes a near certainty.

After getting the rid of tens of thousands of nuclear weapons we’re again back at the point of no return.

  3. @William

The majority of us on the blog with the exception of one who happens to be a Bajan white understands your statement. It is why he who walks in the shoes feels the pinch. We should pity John because he is spitting what he knows.

  4. Johnny

Dream on. There has been a block of ice within the absence of relations between Bibi and Trump.

These guys were estranged, to say the least, since Bibi congratulated Biden when the election outcome was less than certain in Trump’s mind.

Pipe dreams made of racism are yours!

  5. John is unworthy of pity. Instead Barrow’s assertions should be made flesh!

Barrow advocated killing radicals on the left who were far more centrist than the far, far right, White supremacist like Johnny Knox.

Indeed, it’s the racist country in which a majoritarian like you continue to empower what should have long been confronted that is pitiable.

  6. Here’s how it works in the US.

  7. The body-camera footage shows Grayson and another deputy speaking calmly with Massey in her home – at which point she goes to the stove to turn off a pot of boiling water. She then picks up the pot and the other deputy steps back, “away from your hot steaming water,” he says.

“I rebuke you in the name of Jesus,” she says in response.

    “Huh?” the deputy says.

“I rebuke you in the name of Jesus,” she repeats.

“You better f**king not or I swear to God I’ll f**king shoot you in the f**king face,” Grayson says.

  8. Trump having his first rallying since Biden step down as candidates
He rambles on even saying that Kamala allowed 20 million illegal immigrants from all over the world to enter the USA
Trump tries to bring a fake case motion against the Democrats on the assumption that Biden removal is undemocratic then replaced by Kamala
Well of course he calls Kamala a Liar

David, good point, counter point earlier … what’s so shocking with him is the absolute ridiculousness of his regurgitated right wing talking ponints and the ease of dismissing them.

For example, re this latest Black killing by a white PO … he tells us that the lady had boiling water in hand which is a clear threat. But , good heavens, how can he not understand that the PO is duty bound to deescalate the situation.

    Why draw his gun?

Why does he not back away fromn the obviously distressed and possibly mentally unstable lady and take that hot water out of the equation of danger to self?

Of course domestic incidents are always very difficult for cops as so many unexpected threats can emerge… like an abuse victim who calls for help unexpectedly becoming a knife attacher to defend the same man she wanted protection from …

But cops are TRAINED AND TRAINED AND TRAINED to assess and address those situations. These repeated deathly mistakes must be seen for what they are: racist, power driven, often misogynistic acts of out-of-control johnnies !

  10. Trump states that the Biden administration allowed thieves murderers and rapist and terrorist to come across the border in the thousands
Trump could only cite two cases where a illegal immigrant committed a murder in Texas

  12. @ David

John Knox reminds me of Richard Hoad.

I watched the ‘body cam’ footage as well. It seems as though Sonya Massey was dealing with or experiencing some type of mental issue/crisis.

She kept repeating, “Please God, please God, I don’t know what to do.”

Grayson deliberately slowed his speech, when he asked her, “Is there anything else I can do for you?”

    Massey: “No, sir.”

Grayson: “Okay, okay, alright. You’re alright mentally? Are you sure?”

Both Deputies entered the lady’s house. While Grayson questioned and subsequently wanted to I.D her, the other Deputy was busy searching the rooms. (A violation of her 4th amendment rights – The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated…).

She was told to deal with the stove because, according to one deputy, they didn’t want to deal with fire.
Massey got up, turned off the stove, removed the pot therefrom to the sink and turned on the faucet, while both deputies REMAIND in the living room.

Grayson decided to step back. Massey asked him why he stepped back, to which he replied, “Away from your hot steaming water.”

It was then Massey said, “Oh, away from the hot steaming water?” Oh, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.”

    Grayson: “Huh?”

Sonya repeated, “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus?”

She did not pose any immediate threat to Grayson, nor is rebuking anyone is Jesus’ name a threatening statement.

She ducked after Grayson drew his firearm and threatened to shoot her in the face.

If Grayson believed he was in danger of being harmed, he could’ve gone outside the premises.
Instead, he CLOSED THE DISTANCE between himself and Sonya, while pointing his firearm and yelling at her, AFTER she ducked behind the counter, and subsequently shot her three times in the head inside her home.

The encounter between Massey and the deputies should’ve ended on her front porch.

It is VERY interesting to note Sean Grayson did not initially active his ‘body cam’ as per department policy……

…… and, according to the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board, worked for SIX (6) different law enforcement agencies in Illinois since 2020.

Court records also indicate Grayson was charged with two DUI misdemeanour offenses in Illinois’ Macoupin County – one in 2015 and the other in 2016.

It’s clear the guy does not have the temperament for being a law enforcement officer.

The impeachment trial of Kamala may or may not happen in early September after the DNC convention chooses its nominee and the August recess is over.

If Kamala is the nominee and then gets impeached successfully, Trump will have an easy path!!

The Democrat members of the House and Senate will be placed in the position of either supporting Kamala and her refusal to trigger the 25th amendment or watching their re-election hopes get dashed.

    Biden can only get worse.

So, it would probably make sense for the Democrats to make Biden resign the presidency now, promote Kamala, and then have her appoint a VP.

Kamala could then claim she waited so as not to embarrass Biden.

But she still has the Border charge.

  15. Her responsibility to trigger the 25th Amendment could have ridded America of Biden years ago. So even if Biden resigns now, Kamala is screwed if the impeachment is successful.

  16. @Dee Word

This is why we have so many problems in Barbados, so called academics and professionals do not act the part.

  17. If she is impeached Kamala would be in good company by all accounts.

  18. Not if she is convicted in the Senate!!!!

She is then in a class of her own!!

How many democrat senators want her gone?

That’s the only question to be answered.

I think 67 Senators are needed which can only happen if it is a bipartisan effort.

I believe there are 23 Democrat Senators who will face the polls in November and are under pressure.

The Republicans control the House albeit with a slim majority so impeachment there could be no problem.

By September she and Biden are going to screw up because that’s what Democrats do.

  19. If she is convicted in the Senate, she is gone. Unlike Trump who has been impeached twice in the House and can be president, she would be gone.

  23. This is how a trained mind shares an opinion about an issue John to compare with your idiotic offerings.

    American uncertainty

THE EVENTS in the United States over the past month read like a suspense-filled Hollywood script.

First, US President Joe Biden freezes in a televised electoral debate, prompting a national dialogue on his failing health and his fitness to serve a second term. Two weeks later, there was an assassination attempt, by a 20-year-old, against the former president and presidential candidate Donald Trump.

A week after that development, Biden announced the withdrawal of his candidacy and endorsed Vice-President Kamala Harris as his replacement.

This leaves Trump as the oldest party nominee in US history, and sets up the next election as a context between a criminally convicted misogynist and barely-concealed neo-fascist against a replacement candidate aiming to become the first non-white female president of the United States.

All of this is unfolding amid two major global conflicts.

The general outcome of all of this is deep uncertainty.

One of the risks of being too powerful is that one’s collapse can be equally spectacular and consequential. An example of this was witnessed as recently as last Friday with the global collapse of computer systems.

    Electronic systems

We often assume the inviolability of the electronic systems on which our daily lives depend, but we conveniently ignore how quickly the world can crash at the push of a button. We remember vividly the global COVID-19 shutdowns, yet we forget that our nuclear technological capabilities are far more destructive than Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The message to all is that the crises in the world’s most powerful capitalist country should be a clear reminder of the fragile and temporary nature of the global system.

The rapid and spectacular episodes of “how could this happen” incidents in the US over the past weeks are neither episodic, isolated or accidental. They point to a process of institutional decay or civilisational decline.

    Criminal convictions

If a 20-year old coming within centimetres of assassinating a former president is not evidence of institutional decay, then what is? If the leader of the most powerful country in the world shows evidence of severe cognitive limitations and continues in office is not evidence of institutional decay, then what is? If the person seeking to replace the president has 34 criminal convictions and is himself cognitively challenged is not evidence of institutional decay, then what is?

The main implication of all this is that we must pivot our international relations away from complete dependence on the United States.

While totally ignoring the US would be foolhardy, we cannot dismiss the signs of structural decay in US global power. No rational person can claim that the US is at the beginning of its global ascent.

The time has come for the Caribbean to abandon its usual “wait with hope” attitude following each new US presidential election and begin to act proactively in response to the actually-existing global environment.

The most worrying aspect to me is the mindset of the general population of 333.3 million people who arrogantly assume they are the greatest nation in the world.

  25. As expected! Anyone who gives John Knox the time of day after this is as stupid as he is sick.

A horrible, horrible, poor excuse for a human being is John Knox, no matter how pleasant some schoolmates think he was. Surely you must know that he would excuse this even if it were done to your old mothers!

This poor, confused woman rebuked the cave beast because she realised that he was backing away from her AFTER HE TOLD HER to deal with the pot of water. AT NO TIME did she raise her voice or seem threatening. She made no sudden movements towards him. He was far enough away for safety and could easily have gone further. She gently rebuked him because he was acting as though she was dangerous and threatening to do him harm.

After he threatened to shoot her in her fucking face, she said she was sorry, as she realised he was offended by her gentle rebuke. She cowered and crouched to follow his shouted order to put the pot down while still trying to shield her face from his bullet. If she had dropped the pot she would have scalded herself.

That cave beast shot her in the face as she crouched to put the pot down.

The aggressive manner in which he spoke to her before and the stone cold way he spoke about her after he shot her he tells us all we need to know.

“She’s done. That is a head shot.”

    “She’s a crazy bitch.”

He was unmoved by the fact that he had just shot and killed a human being. The sight of her bleeding face, with the bullet hole in it had no effect on him whatsoever.

He was “good”. His partner was shaking like a leaf in a storm.

I said it before and I’ll say it again, I truly believe that John Knox gets off on watching black people being snuffed at the hands of white people.

I doubt even Richard Hoad would have excused this murder.

I won’t even touch the fact that they had NO LEGAL REASON to be inside her house and asking for identification in the first place, especially since she was obviously afraid of them as she said more than once at the door, “Don’t hurt me!”

This was so egregious a murder that the thin blue line did not even try to hold for this officer.

In less than three weeks, he was fired AND CHARGED!

But if it were up to John Knox, this beast would still have a badge and a gun and a licence to kill any black person who moved.

And that includes YOU, ME and all of your loved ones!

  26. The facts of the shooting are in the video. The facts of the shooting are in the video. The facts of the shooting are in the video. THE FACTS OF THE SHOOTING ARE IN THE VIDEO!

    David,

When did the woman become hostile? Rebuking somebody in the name of Jesus is not hostile. It is purely calling upon the Lord for defence, not taking matters into your own hands.

  27. The court will determine if it believes the policeman or not. He is yet to speak through his lawyer.

Yes, it has its problems as can be seen in Trump’s case but the opportunity to overturn its decisions is there.

  28. @Donna

Spent a little time with John yesterday because it was available but best advise is to allow his posting to continue to expose his silliness. That is enough when juxtaposed to the fact he is reputed to be an island scholar. Book sense is not common sense or as the adage goes – a little learning is a dangerous thing.

  29. To whom it may concern

Why don’t you audition for a spot on Lefties Losing it?

    Your talents are wasted here!!

  30. I can hardly ever stand to thoroughly pick through John Knox’s jobby in one go, and so I tend to pick it up in dribs and drabs.

So….this murder did not take place in Chicago. Illinois, but not Chicago. Your shooting stats do not apply. That takes care of your first ” primed and ready” roll.

Second roll: This was a confused lady with a pot of hot water, several yards away with plenty of yards left for retreat. No gun in sight. No knives drawn. The first officer who examined the scene actually asked, “Where’s the gun?”

Next roll! You did not wait for the facts of any other shooting or murder of black people by white cop or white civilian to come out before you declared them to be justified. You went by the VIDEO. In fact, even after the facts came out, the trial was concluded and the jury delivered a guilty verdict, you still declared them ALL justified and in George Floyd’s case, not a homicide at all.

You will doubtless do the same in this case, even though your attempt to deflect to “waiting on the facts” is telling. You know you are flailing wildly and weakly with little to hang on to.

    FLUSH!

I am done with your nasty self now. Any further thoughts of you will make me lose my breakfast.

  31. John is not just silly. He’s a racist of the most extreme sort.

The country ignores this to its peril.

Burying heads in the sand under the rubric of silliness is the worst form of escapism.

Should we not expect his little White rats for children to be just like daddy racist.

There has never been a police murder of an unarmed Afrikan which John Knox has seen as unjustifiable

Far less has he seen anything wrong with the history of White people anywhere in the world. Even as Black people would have wiped his ass, thought him, protected him!

That this John Knox is permitted to live in such a country as a fifth columist for White extremism should never be relegated to the province of the silly.

Many White people made that same mistake with Adolf Hitler tooooooo! And we’re paying for it to this very day.

  32. EXACTLY! I don’t know why people here continue to be afraid to call him what he so obviously is.

  33. “EXACTLY! I don’t know why people here continue to be afraid to call him what he so obviously is.”

    Donna

I don’t want to prolong the discussion, but, although the hypocrisy on BU amazes me sometimes, I’m not entirely surprised by it, simply because people have certain biases.

Yes, his “school mates’ may have considered him to be pleasant during their time at school.

Unfortunately, Knox’s interactions with contributors to this forum currently, often suggests otherwise.

To make such an observation or “call what he so obviously is,” invokes the wrath of his ‘fans’ to the extent they would ‘stop speaking to you.’

But, who cares? As I’ve mentioned on several occasions, I do not share any personal, casual or professional relationships with any BU contributor.

I’m sure you remember there was another BU character who seemed to believe he was an ‘inerrant demigod,’ and often prefaced his comments with lies or personal attacks on the Blogmaster, you or me.

Some people purposely ignored his arrogant, pompous behaviour and verbal abusiveness, to claim he is a ‘great genius who is sorely missed from this forum.’

To join them with bestowing such honour and praises upon him, made you an automatic member of the ‘how great thou are choir.’
However, to not be afraid and call him what he so obviously is, a horrible person, means you’re an immature bully because ‘he’s stuck in your craw.’

    Notice the ‘hypocritical biasness?’

That a Black man came to BU and liken fellow Black people to ‘wild beasts, savages, hyenas, wild barking dogs, slimy pigs, buzzing flies,’ and ‘appallingly ignorant buffoons,’……

……despicable terms associated with racial stereotypical caricatures, performed by white men disguised in ‘black face,’ which minstrelsy relegated Black people to sharply defined dehumanizing roles.

Terms that are synonymous, in a similar context, with ‘coon, sambo, picaninny and good old darky.’

And, I should NOT be ANGRY or OFFENDED, but call him a ‘great genius’ and say I miss him?

    Far from it.

However, I WILL exercise fairness and give ‘Jack his jacket.’ If his/her comments are worthy of praise, I will praise them, if not, then I won’t.

  34. To whom it may concern

All you have to do is to Google George Floyd Documentary and you will see the whole lie exposed, exactly as I said. The documentary came out after the court case, about 8 months ago.

  35. If the reference to the George Floyd Documentary is the ‘Fall of Minneapolis,’ then, I’ve also read information that suggests several controversial claims were made in the video.

We could also Google information that questions the credibility and authenticity of the information.

The problem here is that Candace Owens is a Black version of you and Richard Hoad. She supports everything that’s anti-Black and is even married to white man.

Because you agree, doesn’t necessarily validate the documentary or make it accurate.

  36. I also told you all that Trump’s cases would get tossed!!

The simple fact is I am invariably right because I take the time to find out what the established experts are saying.

I am not interested in what the so-called experts who are invariably wrong have to say.

The best example of this is the lies and coverup over Joe Biden and how the media has turned so many people foolish.

It was obvious Biden was not all there before the last election and the only way he could have received 81 million votes was by cheating.

  37. There was a time I was addicted to talk radio, but after some time I realized that it was repetitive, divisive and racist. I no longer listen to talk radio.

On some matters John is excellent. On others his statement are vile and repugnant.

There was a time I would respond to his twistory, twististics and other nonsense, but I became convinced he was a troll who fed on responses to his nonsense. Now, I ignore his videos and most of his post.

Posts of trumpeters/police shootings are his delight and his feeding ground for reactions.
He can only get these by being equally outrageous and racist.

Do not feed the troll. Ignore him.

  38. *BRITISH WRITER PENS THE BEST DESCRIPTION OF TRUMP*
Someone asked “Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?” Nate White, an articulate and witty writer from England wrote the following response:

A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed.
So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.
Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever.
I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman.
But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty. Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers.
And scarily, he doesn’t just talk in crude, witless insults – he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness. There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance or depth. It’s all surface.
Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don’t. We see it as having no inner world, no soul. And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He’s not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He’s more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege.
And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully. That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead.
There are unspoken rules to this stuff – the Queensberry rules of basic decency – and he breaks them all. He punches downwards – which a gentleman should, would, could never do – and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless or female – and he kicks them when they are down. So the fact that a significant minority – perhaps a third – of Americans look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think ‘Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy’ is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that:
    • Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, and most are.
    • You don’t need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man.
This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss.
After all, it’s impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of shit. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum. God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid. He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W look smart. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws – he would make a Trump.

  39. So, Grasshopper

Why do 75 million voters disagree with Nate White?

Why does Trump continue to dumbfound all the so-called legal experts?

Clearly Nate White does not have any sense or is dimwitted, is blind or sets out to mislead and not uplift grasshoppers.

A pity to see your critical thinking skills have been so dulled by Nate White.

  40. The 75 million voters who like Trump far exceed the few Brits who apparently don’t like him, in fact they even exceed the entire population of Great Britain.

Clearly Nate White is a clown if he can’t spot this simple discrepancy.

And just as clearly, the more nonsense he posts the more laughable he becomes.

And btw , dear John the gent you adore has NOT had all his cases tossed .. he has had HEFTY civil judgements against him which as you know withstood appeal.

Further, his immunity waiver gifted by SCOTUS will NOT protect against the fake electors fraud case … and a Republican SCOTUS judge say so, too!

So you are wrong, were wrong in the past and will continue to fail badly on points of legal facts… simply because you focus on a ideological reasoning !

Your boy MUST win or he will be the first US ex-president to be convicted.

So we have to focus on the millions of votes pushed by Russia and other cheaters… the Dems don’t have that type of cheating power, now do they!

John, cut the self serving prattle and read Amy Coney Barrett … yes she the same who your boy appointed…

She opined, as I am SURE you know … that: ‘… deciding which of the president’s actions are official, and which are unofficial—and thus not immune—isn’t always a difficult question. To her, Trump’s alleged role in organizing alternate slates of electors is unofficial conduct for which there’s “no plausible argument for barring prosecution.” ‘
