KITTS, November 6, 2021 (MMS-SKN) โ The hugely popular Prime Ministerโs Monthly Health Walk resumed on Saturday November 6, after a break that had been occasioned by Covid-19 spikes and community spread in the country, drawing a large turnout that included scores of new participants.
โWe had taken a decision to lead by example and to defer any activity that by and large could result in super-spreading,โ explained Prime Minister, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, at the end of the walk. โWe have resumed it after several months of holding in abeyance, but we have noticed too that other activities of this nature having been taking place, the cancer walk for example last week on Saturday October 30.โ
The health walk which takes health-conscious participants from the bus stop in Bellevue Village to the hardcourts in Ottleyโs Village, was last held on Saturday July 31 this year when as usual a large turnout was the order of the day.
โWe now think it is fine to resume, as part of the wellness is really for our people to engage in greater physical activity,โ said Dr Harris. โAnd so we want to continue this activity. It is a very popular activity.โ

Resuming the health walk is meant to encourage people to engage in greater physical activity that is in keeping with the strategy being implemented by the SKN Moves, which is about getting people back again to care for themselves โ to think about their health, and to think about how physical activity adds to their wellness.

Ground water around the desal plant is thus made up of raw sewage from houses in the area, overflow from septic tanks, runoff directed to wells, underground flow from as far away as Coffee Gully, via Warrens etc.
When it floods, more water flows down the wells and into the ground water.
Excess flows overland in gutters along roads to the sea.
Any toilet pits are flooded and contents travel with the run off towards wells and into the ground water.

It will replicate, the person will shed it, and the cycle will repeat as the virus spreads.

The most likely time to pick up the virus is when it is present in abundance possibly in the drinking water or nearshore waters.
We know it has to be present in some of our our drinking water and nearshore waters because the Minister of Health indirectly told us so when he said the majority of cases are in the Southern Corridor.

Why not put together a group of concerned citizens and fund a regime of testing for Covid-19 at representative sites that you think are most likely to have high loads of the virus? This could be the first step to getting your hypothesis validated. UWI might have regional sources for funding as well as for conducting the work. You used to work there. You should have contacts that could assist you in getting a series of tests done. You should know Leonard O’Garro. Lepto for example was always considered a real threat where I lived growing up.
I find it difficult to believe anyone would question the obvious and need to be shown proof that sewage can get into drinking water during periods of flooding.

The real reason why cases spike after large rain events is because people are forced to spend longer times indoors where there is a better chance of catching COVID or any other respiratory virus.
Your flood leading to COVID spikes theory is right but your reason is wrong. Lots of rain forces more people to stay together indoors for longer periods of time where they are exposed to COVID carriers for longer periods than when it is not raining.

In 1854, cholera spread in Barbados exactly how you describe, ie within households and from household to household.
It was by direct contact and then infection of the household water supply which may have been in a container.
There was no water distribution system like there is today and there were far fewer homes.
The average family size would have been far larger than today..
I came across families from that era where both parents and all children were wiped out.

Today, several water sources feed a given reservoir and reservoirs are allocated to specific distribution areas..
The presence of the virus in a reservoir is limited to those reservoirs the affected source feeds but the concentration will be determined by how much water from non affected sources end up in the reservoir and how much gets by the various protective measures in the affected source .
Once there is bunching of cases as described by the MOH in a given water distribution area, for sure its in the water from the reservoir feeding that area.
That is a given once the MOH made his pronouncement back in September.
It is the concentration of the virus in a reservoir and the probability it reaches a host through the distribution network that will determine the number of cases.
Water with the virus may be lost from the system in a leak for instance!!
Two people (hosts) using the exact same water outlet in a household at different times may not be both infected, or they may be, or only one is infected.
Once someone is infected in the household it can spread the airborne way, or not.
A child for instance may have a strong immune system and resists airborne spread as we saw in the beginning.
But the virus in the water will get the child because it is let into the body in large numbers.
The model that describes the spread is based on probabilities and concentrations.
If it is in the water it could easily just disappear over time with everyone left to opine.
Airborne spread with all the current protocols is minor compared with waterborne spread.

Combining these anecdotal experiences with the science of how the vaccines are designed to work seems to indicate most of the serious vaccine adverse effects seem to be primarily caused by inadvertent injections into blood veins as opposed to the muscle and secondly vaccinating while they have an existing or recent un-diagnosed COVID infection.
Of course, the only way to confirm this is for doctors to start taking people seriously, investigate and report. When this whole pandemic is over, the whole medical fraternity is going to loose much respect in the community because much of the nonsense many have been doing for decades people are going to be more aware of and start questioning.

I thank God Almighty I did not get the vaccination.
At the time I was beginning to realise the virus was waterborne and on principle a vaccine should have been unnecessary if the water was addressed.
On a yearly basis I know wells on the west coast and Bowmanston are routinely shut down so I figured no big deal for the GOB to figure out which source was at fault and shut it down for a time.
I reckon the big sources are well protected by zoning.
The longer I went without a vaccination the more I realised if I took it I would never know for sure it was my protocols with the water and not the vaccination that protected me.
I accepted the risk I might get COVID but I figured I might have had the COVID already so like it or not I may have had a “vaccination” of sorts already.

Armogan calls for targetted mandates
Orthodontist and businessman Dr Vidya Armogan is calling on Government to mandate vaccination in health care, hospitality, and teaching sectors, and for front-line workers.
โThat is the only way we are going to pull out of this (COVID-19 crisis) and get this economy going againโ he told the media yesterday during a press conference at his PAVAO restaurant at Sweetfield Manor.
PAVAO is one of four Armogan family businesses that will post the private Safe Zone identification logo officially from Monday, signalling a welcome to a safe gathering environment for the vaccinated and unvaccinated, who must now meet stringent conditions for entry.
Armogan said it was critical that Government got a hand on the economy, with a highly vaccinated population being a key factor to the return to any semblance of vibrancy.
While he acknowledged Government was doing โa fantastic jobโ educating people about COVID-19 and had made โa buffet of vaccinesโ available to Barbadians, he suggested there needed to be a more firm and widespread policy on vaccination.
He said the cultural nature of Barbados was such that interaction between families in a household could easily lead to exposure to the virus.
โThis is Barbados and thatโs why we are seeing this thing blow up, because one person with COVID-19 right now is spreading it to many people and the fact that we are not contact tracing is a major red flag.
โIt should tell you that we have no control over this virus right now and we are really just trying to let it run by itself and run out. Thatโs not where we need to be. We need to get our people vaccinated urgently and we need to get our protocols a little bit higher up,โ Armogan said.
โWe are imploring the Government of Barbados to mandate that health care workers [be] the first sector that should be mandatorially vaccinated. We have been fighting and calling for that for months now, but we understand that there is an initiative
on the Governmentโs side,โ he added.
Head of the Barbados Private Sector Association (BPSA) Trisha Tannis has made a similar call for mandatory vaccines for all front-line workers. Her appeal follows that of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association, which in a paid press statement last month implored Government to make inoculation compulsory for employees in that sector by December 1.
In view of the explosive number of COVID-19 cases being recorded, the BHTA wrote: โThe existing situation is intolerable and requires immediate action. How do people like this with no medical credentials in the requisite area get to have articles in a newspaper? Is he the head of some association that a reporter would seek him out? Did he secretly pay for the article to be written? Was this a PR plan to test the public response by putting some unknown person out there to test the agenda?

The man is free to determine the rules of engagement with the public. What he is doing is not a novel approach and appears to be legal unless you want to test it in Court like Grenville is doing with the going to republican issue.

Safe zones is a wonderful concept awfully devised and implemented.
It should be implemented as a certification standard, similar to ISO9001 or the National Trust Logo.
Instead of forcing safe zones by type of service offered, all businesses and organizations should freely choose to follow it and get the logo to display at their entrance or not.
All customers will then be able to vote with their feet whom they want to patronize. Employers, employees and their unions at businesses wishing to implement safe zones can negotiate changes in terms of work conditions.
Why has the government gone mandate crazy. I bet the huge outcry from BAMP members is because half of them are not vaccinated and safe zones will force them to get vaccinated or be significantly inconvenienced every seven days.

Last time I check unvaccinated people paid taxes like those who are vaccinated
Hell should roll over in the way of protest and harsh realities to anyone govt business or otherwise who dares stampede on the Constitutional rights of freedom and peoples pursuit to happiness
Stress is not a right of the people written into the Constitution but an added ingredient which govt is pursuing in order to get the populace vaccinated

This is not ethical

He certainly has a right to implement safe zones at his business just as I have a right to go elsewhere whenever I see a business displaying the Safe Zone sign. I will not be patronizing any Safe Zone businesses and if I have no other choice than to get that service from them, I will be the one wearing a full face respirator to protect myself from all the asymptomatic vaccinated superspreaders.
My question is why and how did this get to be a news article?

Did not know Grenville had a Court case about the republic but he too like to waste the time and money on go nowhere causes. I predict he will get laughed out of court with some hundred page court judgment followed by his lawyers laughing all the way to the bank.
He could give me that money and let me help some random people with their medical bills or food or any number of more useful endeavours.

You will find the majority of Barbadians are vaccinated 1st dose at least and many others have no issue with being tested as a requirement for entry.
