Solutions Barbados is disappointed with the Ministry of Education’s weak response, to the warnings from Charlie Spice of the Adult Industry Association.

Mr Spice noted that over the past three years, there have been countless child pornography videos of Barbadian school children circulating via smart phones.  He noted that child prostitution was growing exponentially across Barbados, and that Barbados was on course to become the country with the highest rate of under-age sex in schools.

Solutions Barbados predicted a similar trend over two years ago, when the former Minister of Education allowed our students to have smart phones in schools, without the critical pornography filters.  We have repeatedly warned of the obvious harmful consequences, since it was foreseen that children will try to mimic what they repeatedly watch.  Solutions Barbados urges the BLP administration to consider the following solutions.

First, install pornography filters on all wireless routers at schools, resource centres, and anywhere where free WiFi is offered by Government.  Second, install a password-protected pornography filter on every student’s cell phone when they enter the school.  Third, start charging adults who have sex with our children.  The cost to Government to implement each of these initiatives is $0.00.

  3. @ Vincent Codrington October 12, 2019 11:02 AM

But before we return to the topic at hand are you implying that gender is not that ‘black or white’ and that there are shades of grey areas along the spectrum of Nature’s ‘sex’ continuum of reproductive success or failure?

Maybe the old testament people had a ‘right’ way of dealing with those male outliers who had the propensity of displaying transgender tendencies.

Why not relieve them of their budding bouncing two tools stored in a knotted ball of a bifurcated tank which might hinder their progress to such a ‘neutered’ sexual state?

How about castration to ‘nip’ this curse in the bud?

As you point out, there is nothing new under the Sun. Children have always begat children.
Many children died agonizingly in childbirth in the sugarcane fields as a result of being prematurely forced upon by their slave masters and their ‘ecky-becky’ plantation supervisors. And there is ample ‘red-skin’ evidence all round Barbados to support that contention.

BTW, which is the ‘bigger’ sin?
Aborting a teenage pregnancy or impregnating another man’s wife with a holy spirit called Emmanuel or even extracting the seed of your own father under the influence of similar ‘spirits’ in order to continue the genetic line called the curse of Lot?

@The Pedantic Dribbler “So @Simple, if I may mimic @Austin: are u even suggesting that the incidence of school girls pregnancies is greater ( or lesser) today that your 60’s era? Where are your stats for that either way to verify…and/or are you suggesting that pregnancy (sexual activity) as a key reason to reintroduce same sex schools is really a minor irrelevancy as it is superceded by societal norms …evidence please..😂!”

It was not me, but Hal who suggested the introduction of single sex schools. Please note that I am NOT in favour of single sex schools. I expect that there are fewer teenage pregnancies nowadays, because more reliable contraceptives, the pill, condoms at every corner shop, the morning after pill are available. Young people no longer have to “rely” on Phensic between the knees. Sorry I don’t have the stats, maybe the Ministry of Health or the Barbados Family Planning Association collects the data. Single sex schools won’t stop teens from having sex, since i expect that most of the sex takes place before school, after school, and during those nice long vacations when older teens are NOT supervised by anybody, no parents, no teachers. Remember there are 8,760 hours in a year, and teens typically spend only 5 days x 6 hours x 40 weeks=1,200 in the classroom, so that leaves 7,560 hours per year for unimaginable amounts of hanky panky.

And less we forget the age of first birth in Barbados and many other countries has typically been 19, so it means that we, our parents, grandparents, and great grand parents were also as teens engaging in sexual activity.

Please note that i am not in favour of adults engaging children in sexual activity. I am also NOT in favour of teachers and other school/education officials engaging in sexual activity with children, even if those children are older than 16.

But to imagine that we can prevent 17, 18, and 19 year olds engaging in sex.

    It ain’t going happen’

@JohnOctober 12, 2019 8:35 AM “National Statistics More than 19 million Black babies have been aborted since the 1973 Roe v. Wade U.S. Supreme Court decision legalized abortion in our country. Black women have a significantly higher abortion rate than Whites and Hispanics.”

Higher unemployment, and higher underemployment has and continues to destabilize the black family in the United States and elsewhere in the diaspora, and you know this as well as I do, so don’t gimme no pretend innocence. And this unemployment and undereployment is driven by racism and by white privilege, especially by WHITE MALE privilege.

The best way to ensure that more black women can carry their pregnancies to term is to get rid of racism and white privilege, especially WHITE MALE privilege.

But you don’t want that do you?

You would rather beat up on poor black women.

Was your mother or any of your many wives “breeding” when they were 54.

For a reputed physician, and reputed Barbados Exhibitioner you does make some real, real foolish statements.

For the non-physicians and non exhibitioners: Most women over the age of 54 cannot reproduce, even with the most modern technology, human female reproduction after the age of 54 is exceedingly rare, compared to the reprduction which takes place between the ages of 24 and 34.

  7. Let’s return to single sex schools. We must not allow ideology to over-rule common sense.(Quote)

I have not made any connection between single sex schools and teenage pregnancies. We have had this discussion before. I am in favour of single sex schools as a matter of principle. Globally, boys under-perform girls in mixed sex schools. Nothing to do with pregnancies.

I grew up in a Barbados where we saw very yung women giving birth to half white babies. The white fathers were never present.

Were they perhaps misguided by their white families not to associate with their half black children?

  11. In the rules of discourse, there is a complexity and disciplined procedure, all part of logic (I remember one wise guy saying on BU logic was not core to philosophy) and central to argumentation theory.
I say that to say a question is not a statement, it is an interrogative which seeks an answer. I have noticed on a number of occasions on BU people interpret a question as a statement of belief. It is at times like this that we miss Richard Allsopp’s close study of Caribbean grammar.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

    28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

The truth is that just like GP the Prime Minister is entitled to have a sex life; or not have a sex life. The choice is entirely hers. GP has exercised his choices in the matter of his sex life. Other people have the same right. As long as we do not engage with minors, nor with non-consenting parties, nor deliberately infect another person with an STI what we do in the privacy of our bedrooms is nobody’s business

And everyday in every country of the world the children of praying, asking, parents suffer, sometimes at the hands of their own neglectful or wicked parents. And too often this suffering is ignored by both the church and the state, and alas manna no longer falls from the sky.

  32. @ John October 13, 2019 8:52 AM

There is only ONE Unifying Force which submits all of humanity to one common denominator on this planet.

It is the LIGHT above which shines on everyone; from the Eskimo to the Pygmy.

Or to put it in Quaker style, the light within every human being which requires only the switch of spirituality; and not manmade religion.

  33. re Leviticus may or may not be expressing the will of God.

SO THEN WHY IS IT IN THE WORD OF GOD?
IS NOT THE WILL OF GOD EXPRESSED IN THE WRITTEN WORD OF GOD AS WELL AS THE REVEALED WORD OF GOD (THE “LOGOS”) OF JOHN 1:1 ET SECQ?

the LIGHT above which shines on everyone; from the Eskimo to the Pygmy.

THE LORD JESUS ASSERTS IN JOHN 8 & JOHN 9 THAT HE IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

WHEN WE BELIEVE IN HIM – THE LIGHT, WE HAVE LIFE AND LOVE WHICH IS SAID TO BE SHED ABROAD IN THE HEARTS OF BELIEVERS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT AS IS CLEARLY TAUGHT IN ROMANS 5:5

A PROPER GRASP OF THE JOHANNINE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE REVEALS THAT HIS KEY WORDS ARE BELIEVE KNOW LIGHT LIFE AND LOVE

  34. One of the reasons I am so interested in the Quakers and Puritans too is because it is difficult to avoid the conclusion that they were used as tools by God to spread his Word to all mankind.

It doesn’t make me a Puritan or a Quaker just someone fascinated by how God’s Word spread.

  35. JOHN K wrote There is always faith in God on which to rely.

I learned that as a youth in the Anglican church. AI JOHNSON used to say that every Sundee!

Romans10:17 teaches that “… Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God”

i.e You get faith when you believe the FACTS. i.e the word of God NOT YOUR FEELINGS.

WHEN YOU GO BY YOUR FEELINGS YOU TALK FOOLISHNESS LIKE THE BIBLE ILLITERATES INCLUDING THE AGED ONE WHO GOES CHURCH EVERY SUNDEE

Hebrews 11:6 TEACHES But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Course, but they are not the ones having abortions!!

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Isn’t “white privilege” really another way of denigrating and undermining Christianity without being called for religious intolerance?

The decision to subject her body to an abortion rests entirely with the woman who wants , or think she wants, to be rid of the child.

God deals with individuals on an individual basis.

But the individual has to make an individual decision to come to him for help.

“More than 19 million Black babies have been aborted since the 1973 Roe v. Wade U.S. Supreme Court decision legalized abortion in our country.
Black women have a significantly higher abortion rate than Whites and Hispanics.
36.0% of all abortions in the U.S. in 2014 were performed on Black women, however, only about 13.3% of the total population is Black .
African-Americans are no longer the nation’s largest minority group. Today, Hispanics have outpaced Blacks in population growth.
For every 1,000 live births, non-Hispanic Black women had 391 abortions. Non-Hispanic White women had 120 abortions per 1,000 live births.”

So, is it really “white privilege”, racism and whatever other “over arching and all encompassing explanations” “experts” seek to invent to explain these differences or is it just the Power freely available to an individual at work?

If a woman’s life is not at stake and everything is physically normal in the pregnancy, doesn’t the question of abortion really arise in the mind?

The sheer scale of the numbers of abortions suggest there are powerful forces at work to change a normal individual’s mindset and deliberately kill children.

  37. I can think of two instances from the Bible where children were deliberately killed, in Egypt at the time of Moses and when Jesus was born.

IN BOTH CASES RETENTION OF POWER WAS THE HUMAN MOTIVE
