Your message to the BLOGMASTER was sent

Several interpretations have been applied Bob Marley’s Man to Man song.

Man to man is so unjust, children:
Ya dont know who to trust.
Your worst enemy could be your best friend,
And your best friend your worse enemy.
Some will eat and drink with you,
Then behind them su-su pon you.
Only your friend know your secrets,
So only he could reveal it.
And who the cap fit, let them wear it!

This blogmaster continues to marvel at how humankind despite self labelling as being the most advance of the animal specie behave as primitive in interactions as a wild animal.

As traditional values like honesty, respect, integrity, credibility to list a few give way to a people happy to be anchored in nothingness – so too the way of the world we live. A walk through many school yards bar a few tells a tale of what the morrow portends.

Barbadians have joined others where the ability to reason and apply logical thought is being trumped by political and irrelevant considerations. Even if it means national proprieties must be ignored. The inability to reason is not deliberate, it is derivative of educated ignorance.

Our inability to demonstrate love, forgiveness are character traits in the modern era is a waning behaviour.

The reaction to the ‘HUG’ given to Amber Guyger by the brother of murder victim Botham Jean makes for an interesting case study. The Black judge that approved the action also hugged Guyger as has attracted the ire of an ism crazy public. A simple act of love and forgiveness has been interpreted in so many ways it was not meant to be.

Several times the blogmaster has issued the refrain that all the world needs is more love. It seems the ability to demonstrate love and forgiveness has gotten lost in the translation of surviving in today’s rate race. Could it be the ‘HUG’ becomes a seminal moment in time?

  1. Are you trying to say that if I a minor child tells her mother that she was raped that the police should not investigate?

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++

That’s not a second or third hand account!!

If the minor child told the mother that her friend told her that she knows somebody who told her she had been raped, should the mother call the police to investigate?

    This is common sense!!

  2. The discussion is descending to the ridiculous.

  3. John 2,

There is always a token black or two at the rallies. Great black support! Facts don’t matter to Trumpians. It is the main tenet of their philosophy as revealed by the prophet Ghouliani, and I quote – “Truth isn’t truth!”

PS. The black supporters are the f-ed up ones like Kanye West. They are the ones who would eat the shit and call it chocolate just to be in the white man’s good books. We all know the type.

  4. John,

That is not what happened here and you know it. You are a very dishonest person.

  5. There are (were) categories in the US census for West Indians and for Guyanese. As someone asked, is Kamala Harris an Afro-Caribbean? Referring to all black people of African origin as Afro-Americans s a default position. have seen Caribbean people in the UK referred to as Afro-American. I laughed my head off. Some people just do not like saying black. Others call all of us Africans.
It is a crisis of identity for all of us. How can my brother, sisters and mother be Afro-Americans and I am what?

  6. John

Yes. She should call the police to investigate.
That’s is the normal and wise procedure, especially if the suspected rape victim is a child.

  7. From the time Trump delivered the transcript it made the whistle blower irrelevant because everybody knew more than the whistleblower.

Trump delivered a first hand account of the conversation.

    The whistle blower became Trump.

He blew the whistle on the whistleblower!!

    Schiff then had to lie.

  8. It is impossible for us to have a proper argument with these Trumpians. They just make stuff up and argue dishonestly. I despise Donald Trump for the despicable lowlife that he has shown himself to be ON LIVE TELEVISION but the day I make up stuff to convict him I would not like myself.

  9. “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody…….”

I wouldn’t want anybody to say that about me!

    John
Yes. She should call the police to investigate.
That’s is the normal and wise procedure, especially if the suspected rape victim is a child.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++

The investigation is of the child who provided second or third hand evidence.

The police have to get the child to tell them the name of the friend.

The friend then has to give up the other friend.

By the time the police determine if this is a Nancy story and a perpetrator is identified the evidence to prosecute the perpetrator if any, is gone.

    The Police investigate complaints.

    They take statements!!

Remember the lady in the Top Rock Service Station?

    No statement, no complaint.

There has to be an element of specificity.

  11. So Trump says to the House, vote on it, until you do don’t waste my time!!

  12. John

How do you know the rapist would be gone.

The point is if if it is reported to the police then the police would investigate and verify if there was a rape or not.
IF there was a rape (as third had reported) then the police would try to identify and capture the alleged rapist.

  13. John,

Schiff was dramatizing it. That he should not have done. But I heard the contents of that transcript. I immediately latched on to the word “though” and waited to see if anybody else would have found that to be the clincher. Sure enough they all did!

I don’t follow anybody. I come to my own conclusions.

Trump knows you lot will follow him into hell. His tactic was to release the transcript tell you lot it meant nothing and then put the idea of violence and civil war into his heavily armed mob. If you think he wouldn’t prefer a civil war rather than to lose the next election and face some jail you have not been watching.

Seems to me that part of you think rump is guilty and you are just looking for an “out” for him.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++

Schiff is supposed to be the chief of Police.

    He has prejudged the case.

There is only one logical outcome for him!!

    Resign or be moved!!

Your obstinacy is remarkable. Stop contradicting yourself. He is a Somali, or at best a Somali-American. Do you remember Jesse Jackson’s remarks, for which he apologised, when Obama became president? So, if you are of Caribbean heritage and black, what are you? A West Indian-Afro-American, or are you simply an Afro-American and your West Indian heritage goes by the window?
“You must spend your time learning and not being arrogant and wrong.”

I wonder if Mr Arrogant and Wrong gone and took his own ignorant /dumb advice.

  18. No John.

He is not Chief of Police. Impeachment is a political process, not a legal one. Even so policemen, after getting hold of some of the evidence, always come to some conclusion and search for further evidence to substantiate it. They present that evidence. The prosecutor takes it and argues it and it is left for the jury to decide.

And so it shall be with Trump.

It was stupid of Schiff to dramatize it. He has given you lot a talking point. He should have let the evidence speak for itself.

If you have finished your pretzel imitation I shall close the conversation. Watching intelligent black man contort themselves for a white racist makes me too depressed. That is what I mean when I say ENOUGH OF YOU. I literally can’t take anymore today.

” I despise Donald Trump for the despicable lowlife that he has shown himself to be ON LIVE TELEVISION but the day I make up stuff to convict him I would not like myself.”

you despise the man. At least you are honest . I neither hate or like him. I always knew he was kind of boorish, but that’s his style. I can see why women would despise him. you made a point about a though, in the end analysis he did not used the quid pro quo. As I have said, it is obvious some talk did go on about a quid pro quo, but from the evidence available and according to the DOJ, the discussions might be unethical, but there weren’t criminal. All of this is a mountain being made of a mole hill. what do you think happens when leaders of countries talk to one another? there is always a quid pro quo. for example country X wants some pressure put on freedom fighters in country Y and country Y wants some tanks. The tanks are used as a bargaining chip in getting pressure placed on Y to put pressure on the freedom (a bad example, but it illustrate the point). In the case of the Ukraine McCabe and others instigated a plot to oust a duly elected president. Whether you despise him or not, the man was duly elected. lots of lies were invented and the man was subjected to a two-year inquisition which turned to be a witch hunt. he has all rights to get to the bottom of the conspiracy. Ralph Jemmott had an article in todays’ paper, he seems incensed at the fact that Barr is investigating what went on in the so-called Russia-gate fiasco, Barr is just doing his job and would be remiss if he did not seek to bring the wrong doers to account. This whole impeachment affair is trying to deflect the reports by Barr and the Inspector General into the nefarious doings of Comey, Clapper, Brennan and company. The purpose of the probe is to ensure that the intelligence services never again seek to deposed a duly elected president. and to bring to heel under civilian control. No one elected them.

  20. Correction:” I neither hate nor like him.” instead of or.

  21. @ john2 October 6, 2019 5:44 PM

You should also advise Hal Asstin the stubborn Afro-Caribbean ‘English’ mule that Somalia is also part of Africa.

With American citizenship any African-born person has the right to refer to him or herself as African-American.

What would he call a child born in Soweto South Africa but naturalized in the USA or even one born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or Mauritania now holding American citizenship?

@Donna…kudos re your above commentaries …I am in complete harmony with you re: “It is impossible for us to have a proper argument with these Trumpians. They just make stuff up and argue dishonestly.”

I really don’t like nor dislike POTUS … rather indifferent to him and hate his behaviour. If this man acted in a civil and decorous manner he would be an absolute shoo in for re-election and he woukd not have lost in the mid terms.

He is a disgusting cad….so it cannot be seen as a foregone conclusion that the American electorate will reelect a man who lies daily to the tune of 6 fibs per day.

And to the Doc directly: Can a man who has soent as much time as you in academic pursuits be so utterly ‘mind addled’ to refuse to understand that when political leaders seek quid pro quo it is done for the benefit of the NATION and not their PERSONAL benefit.

When the US sends $400 mil in military aid to Ukraine there is a DEFINITE quid pro quo INCLUDING indirect things like NATO joint exercises in the country/region; training of military forces by US officials; support of NATO and of course buying US armaments etc etc …you DO NOT have an envoy asking about investigations into political rivals…nor you DO NOT mention those political opponents during a convo with a country’s leader and in the same discourse talk about the aid funds. You JUST DO NOT!

If you find that acceptable then so be it….

I don’t find it acceptable that Biden’s son was getting $600,000 as a Board member from a company in a country with which his VP father was heavily involved and where corruption was a major problem…

Nor is it acceptable that MsTrump-Kushner is getting brand copyright approvals from a country where it is known to be quite difficult to get those types of approvals and in which her Pres father is deeply involved with trade negotiations …nor is it acceptable the business dealings of Trump sons in Dubai and other mid-East locales .

But BOTTOM line…the Pres of the USA cannot and should NEVER be talking about ANY investigation related to US political figurss with a foreign leader…that’s an impeachable offense ..plain and simple.

@Donna, to your crystal clear point about the dishonesty of discourse eith these POTUS groupies.

You said:“I despise Donald Trump for the despicable lowlife that he has shown himself to be ON LIVE TELEVISION …”

And on cue with the misstated alternative facts your statement is now “…you despise the man. At least you are honest”

Same folks who took a playacting, paraphrasing Committee Chair’s words to twist them into the stupidity of the President’s tweet that that the man is treasonous…

This same POTUS who is reported as telling his Russian adversaries in his infamous 2017 Oval office meeting that “he was unconcerned about Moscow’s interference in the 2016 US election”.

The president of the freaking US whose Intel services, FB officials and a host of others confirmed that Russia had interfered with the US elections is telling the SAME Russians ‘oh don’t worry bout dat, we interfere in other people’s elections all the time’ is now calling someone a TRAITOR !

Schiff is the ranking member on the House Select Intelligence Committee, which is tasked with conducting inquiries related to Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections.

Ranking means most senior member, el jefe de la policia if you like.

    He has prejudged the case.

He is so determined to show Trump’s collusion that he is prepared even to lie.

It is being revealed he may even have set the whole mess in motion!!

He isn’t in some drama play for which he gets points for acting and dramatizing an event.

He is not paid to do that.

What is that joker going to do when Barr cuts loose on Biden for corruption in Ukraine leading up to the 2016 election.

    This is common sense!!

    Straightforward!!

… and I am enjoying every last moment of it as he squirms and wriggles and lies his way out of a seat in Congress.

He and the DEMs have a real problem.

Donald Trump and his team won the 2016 election fair and square.

Mueller said there was no collusion!!

The deck was stacked against Trump and still he won going away and laughing at Hilary and the DEMs!!

@John, if u are going to speak of commonsense then please show that you are using it yourself!

The Dems are the majority in the US Congress THEREFORE commonsense should dictate that Schiff is NOT a Ranking Member but a Chairman of committee. That’s straightforward too… Ranking does refer to the most senior member on a committtee…when you are in the MINORITY party!

—–*A committee of congress is NOT akin to a police department…your el jefe de la policia is an absolutely FALSE, null and void comparison. He is one of 15 members…He alone cannot dictate the outcome despite being the chairman leader.

This is POLITICS so definitely members are biased but they are OBLIGATED to rule on the evidence found. Wasnt Republican Chair (Oversight Com.) labelled as also prejudging during the Benghazi affair …didnt he still do his job effectively and also grilled Sec of State Clinton with a heavy bias but IN THE END produced a detailed report of merit!

Is it thus not also COMMONSENSE that an investigating congressional committee cannot be properly equated to an investigating police department…who dont just produce reports!

Why do YOU utter such misleading and downright FALSE data repeatedly on this site…

Even if Joe Biden is ever indicted on corruption related to his son’s business dealings do you UNDERSTAND that does NOT absolve this POTUS of the impeachable offense he committed…

Do you UNDERSTAND that whatever Barr or Durham finds that it cannot change the facts of the Russian interference in 2016 nor change the POTUS strange behaviour and comments to the Russians since then, nor those to Zelensky!

Do you UNDERSTAND that proving one crime cannot by itself change or disprove the facts of a completely separate crime!

Do you understand that to anyone with a modicum of awareness of these issues you appear clueless and lacking commonsense!

  31. By now the brother and family must have gone into hiding
That symbolic gesture of forgiveness will not sit well with the white Supremacist
There is a killer on the loose and its number 1 target from the case has met their demise

You don’t you wait until at least there is a suspect before you try pushing your agenda?
Now I am not defending the KKK and agree that you should not underestimate them but what if the killing was black on black will you still blame the hug?

  34. WHY DONALD TRUMP?

FOR THE COMING DAYS AHEAD. Ask yourself an honest question, why would a billionaire who has it all, fame, fortune, a warm and loving family, friends, etc. want to endanger himself and his family by becoming POTUS?
Why would he want to target himself and those he cares about?
    Does he need money?
    Does he need fame?
What does he get out of this?
Does he want to make the US/world a better place for his family and for those good and decent people who have long been taken advantage of?
Perhaps he could not stomach the thought of mass murders occurring to satisfy Moloch?
Perhaps he could not stomach the thought of children being kidnapped, drugged, and raped while leaders/law enforcement of the world turn a blind eye.
Perhaps he was tired of seeing how certain races/countries were being constantly abused and kept in need/poor/and suffering all for a specific purpose.
Perhaps he could not in good conscious see the world burn.
Why, hours after the election, did seven people travel to an undisclosed location to hold a very private & highly secured/guarded meeting?
Why didn’t HRC give a concession speech?
When was the last time a presidential candidate didn’t personally give a concession speech?
What happens if the border remained open and the MSM continued to brainwash?
At what point do Patriots, and hard working men and woman, become the minority?
    What about voting machines?
    Who owns the voting machines?
    What about voter ID laws?
Photo ID? When is it necessary and must be presented? Make a list. Laugh.
    Reconcile.
Would the chances of defeating evil grow less and less with each passing year?
    What does ‘red line’ mean?
Why, again, were the arrests made in SA so very important?

  38. DPD,

You and I have admitted to questionable behaviour by Democrats on several occasions. There is none who has completely clean hands. Damn, I don’t have completely clean hands!

These Trumpians defend everything that this man does. That alone is telling.

You are quite correct about Robert Lucas’ abuse of my words. He deliberately left out the main point of the statement which was that EVEN THOUGH I DESPISE TRUMP, I would not like MYSELF if I couldn’t be fair to him. And so I guard my integrity in arguments and would not let even Trump cause me to lose it. More important than who Trump is to me is WHO I AM!

Imagine that he is prepared to argue that quid pro quo is normal behaviour, ignoring the fact that it is supposed to be in pursuit of the country’s interests and not Trump’s. SMH

All your points above John is quite capable of understanding. He just doesn’t care.

Kevin McCarthy on LIVE TV accused his interviewer of inserting the word “though” into the transcript. Maybe he didn’t read it before he jumped to Trump’s defence or maybe he didn’t want to see it. His surprise when told that it was in fact there was not feigned. The significance of the word “though” was yet again proven, this time by one of Trump’s greatest defenders.

    But the evidence mounts

And we who have read the report know that Mueller actually said he was unable to prove a quid pro quo, a legal requirement in a conspiracy charge. He also said he was hindered in his investigation.

Again, John simply parrots the lies from his idol.

PS. The latest Trump card has been pulled out and played. This card is going to cost the loyal Kurds their lives. Distraction, distraction.

And Lindsey Graham just called Trump a liar!

  41. “Mueller said there was no collusion!!”

    John

    You’re repeating what Trump said.

According to Robert Mueller, the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired with the Russian government in its election interference activities. They did not address “collusion,” which is not a legal term. Rather, they focused on whether the evidence was sufficient to charge any member of the campaign with taking part in a criminal conspiracy. It was not.

That’s an important distinction, between a colloquial term, collusion, and what Mueller’s team sought to determine, which was whether there was enough evidence to prove criminal conspiracy. Mueller is pointed: There was no determination on “collusion” — and there may have been at least some evidence pointing to possible conspiracy.

Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) asked Mueller re: “Director Mueller, “the president has repeatedly claimed that your report found there was no obstruction and that it completely and totally exonerated him, but that is not what your report said, is it?”

“Correct,” Mueller replied. “That is NOT what the report said.”

“So the report did not conclude that he did not commit obstruction of justice, is that correct?” Nadler asked.

    “That is correct,” Mueller replied.

“And what about total exoneration? Did you totally exonerate the president?” Nadler continued.

    “No,” Mueller said.

“Does your report state there is sufficient factual and legal basis for FURTHER INVESTIGATION of potential obstruction of justice by the president?” Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Tex.) later asked.

    “Yes,” Mueller replied.

Under questioning from Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), Mueller contradicted Trump’s claims.

“Did your investigation find that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from one of the candidates winning?” Lofgren asked.

“It did,” Mueller replied. Lofgren followed up: “Which one?”

“Well,” Mueller said, “it would be Trump.”

It was a situation where Trump said the Mueller report totally exonerated him, while Mueller, in explaining his report, essentially implied Trump was lying.

Despite this evidence, the Trump fanatics would obviously believe what he said.

  43. Dallas police officer Amber Guyger’s conviction for the murder of her neighbor Botham Jean was in part made possible by video provided by an eyewitness who filmed the shocking event on her cell phone. But the lone witness, known only as Bunny came under attack along with a great deal of scrutiny which resulted with her being fired from her job at a pharmaceutical company.
The unjustified shooting death of Botham Jean by Dallas police officer Amber Guyger sent shockwaves through America. Guyger entered his apartment allegedly thinking it was her own and shot him dead. the lone witness to the Botham Jean shooting has stated her life is in turmoil and she is being labeled a Black radical.
The witness has been identified only as Bunny and has stated that she recorded Guyger on her cellphone after hearing the fatal shots and Botham asking Guyger why did you shoot me. That video was seized by prosecutors and has not been seen by the public. In addition, she was placed under a gag order by the prosecution and cannot discuss the details of the video in public. Despite the fact she was only a witness to the shooting, she has received death threats and now she says she has been fired from her job.

According to her, people began contacting the pharmaceutical company where she worked claiming that she was a radical, anti-police and a Black extremist. As a result, she claims the company did not want the publicity and fired her as well as revoking the credentials of her profession.(Quote)

You forgive me yet for pointing out truthfully that you were NOT the originator of our polyclinic system? that both the Enmore Health Center and the Speightstown Health Center were up and running while you were still in diapers, perhaps before you were even conceived, and that those clinics provided dental services, pre-natal and post natal services, well baby services and immunizations, contraceptive services, health care for elders with with chronic non-communicable diseases, the public health inspectorate, community nursing services I referenced particularly nurses Holita Horton, and nurse Mayers, subsequently Waldron at Speightstown, public health nurses who were hard at work before you entered Harrison College BEFORE you entered Harrison College.

But then again I don’t need nor want your forgiveness because I have not sinned against you, because telling the truth is not a sin, nor is it a crime.

  47. “As a president he has a leadership style the world can do without. We will see how it plays out.”

So did Mr Stuart and the electorate was the final judge and jury; why cannot the electoral process be allowed to do the same in America with elections due in about 858 days

  48. Donna my comment was meant for John2

Hal the cop racist history speaks volumes
One does not have to look too far to find kkk attachments to this case

  49. Mari

the kkk may be responsible for the killing of the witness as you said but what I cannot understand is why are you blaming it on the hug?

if the kkk is responsible I would more think that the planning to kill the witness was done long before the hug and that it was don’t on condition if the female cop was found guilty. – not from an unexpected hug.

ps I am neither for or against the hug/ I am neutral at this point.

  50. Mariposa,

I know. I was actually pointing out that your idea had also crossed my mind.
