Collusion a Crime – Judge in Mueller Case Upholds Legal Theory

Is collusion a crime? Since the beginning of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, allegations of “collusion” have dominated the debate. President Trump regularly claims there was “no collusion” with the Russians seeking to influence the 2016 presidential election. His attorneys and other supporters also have repeatedly argued that even if collusion took place, that would not be criminal. But last week, in a case brought by Mueller, a federal judge upheld the legal theory under which “collusion” may indeed be a crime.

I’m not sure how the term “collusion” became so central to discussions of the Mueller investigation. It really should be banned altogether. (I know, I know — this from the guy who just wrote a blog post with “collusion” in the title, right? But hey, I can’t unilaterally disarm.) All it does is breed confusion and lead to diversionary arguments about whether collusion is criminal.

It’s true there is no criminal statute titled “collusion.” But as I’ve noted in several places (here and here, for example) the relevant crime is conspiracy under 18 U.S.C. 371. Collusion refers to an agreement with others to achieve some improper end. In criminal law, we call that a conspiracy – a partnership in crime. And the breadth of the federal conspiracy statute makes it particularly well-suited for cases like Mueller’s probe of Russian interference with the election.

    THE FRENCH RIOT OVER SEVEN DOLLAR PER GALLON GAS TO CUT EMISSIONS

    Currently, gas by my house is selling for $2.06 a gallon. In France, thanks to their president, Emmanuel Macron, they are now paying just a tad over seven dollars a gallon for gas.

    The price has shot up nearly 25% over the last two or three months to pay for the country’s inclusion in the Paris Climate Accord and appease the environmental wackos. The elite can afford those prices but not the average French citizen. And under the new tax, the burden will get heavier every year. Not surprisingly, the French have taken to the streets and are calling for Macron to resign.

    They have also started fires and just, in general, are causing civil disturbances.

    THE PROTESTS IN FRANCE ARE DIRECTED AT THEIR LEADER MACRON. THE REASON THE FRENCH ARE UPSET IS BECAUSE MACRON IMPLEMENTED A FUEL TAX ON THE WORKING CLASS IN FRANCE SO THE COUNTRY CAN MEET TARGETS FOR THE PARIS CLIMATE ACCORD.
    Kate Hopkins from the UK is reporting that the French people are very upset about having to pay increased taxes on fuel so France can meet its targets for the Paris Climate Accord and impress the Parisian bourgeoisie.

    Rocks and bottles were thrown at police, fires set and protesters set up barricades along the Champs Elysees, in the shadow of the Arc de Triomphe, causing tourists to flee.

    The unrest comes after 10 days of protests and riots across France which have already left two people dead and more than 600 injured.

    Dozens of police have also been injured, mainly heading off an attempt by protesters last weekend to storm the Elysee Palace, the official residence of French president Emmanuel Macron.

    A group of migrants tried to dine and dash from a Tijuana taco restaurant and that led to a fight between the illegal aliens and the waiters. Chairs were used as weapons from both sides.

    Among it all, there has been a real concern about the health of some of the migrants who have communicable diseases. One woman coughed uncontrollably. (No, it wasn’t Hillary this time) One man aid he had coughed up blood a couple of days before.

    The caravan of Central American migrants have been stymied in their attempt to cross into America, and are now wreaking havoc on Tijuana, Mexico.

    Video tweeted by Christian Camara shows a reported clash between waiters at a taco restaurant and migrants.

    The brawl broke out on the sidewalk and spilled out into the street.

    Both sides used folding tables chairs to attack the other.

    Meanwhile, Ruptly caught up with migrants who admitted they would be bringing serious health problems into the U.S.

    Workers could be seen wearing face masks as they came into contact with a group.

    A woman coughed uncontrollably.

    Two days ago, I was even coughing up blood,” one man said with a smile.

    In the past there have been a resurgence in diseases we had wiped out that may have come from mainly Central Americans and Somolians. They must give health exams to anyone who wins asylum. They must be cured before releasing them into the general population.

    The case involved a doctor in Michigan who is believed to have performed 100 female genital mutilations on young Muslim girls. These girls were put through immeasurable pain and they often screamed out and bled, not to mention how it would affect them sexually for the rest of their lives.

    The reliably Democrat black vote may be turning from blue to red.

    An exit poll conducted after this month’s midterm elections showed that African-American voters played a vital role in helping Republicans prevail in two closely contested races: the Florida gubernatorial matchup between Republican Ron DeSantis and losing Democrat Andrew Gillum, and the Georgia governor’s race between Republican Brian Kemp and Democrat Stacey Abrams.

    “Racists believe he is racist”
    A report on the poll attributed Gillum’s loss to the large number of black women who voted red earlier this month. Gillum, an African-American man who once served as mayor of the state’s capital city of Tallahassee, would have been the first black governor of the state.

    But the former mayor lost — despite running a widely racially charged campaign.

    “Now, I’m not calling Mr. DeSantis a racist,” Gillum said of his opponent during his campaign. “I’m simply saying the racists believe he is racist.”

    But according to the poll, nearly 20 percent of black female voters didn’t find his rhetoric appealing. Gillum received 92 percent of the vote from black men, according to the poll, but only 82 percent of the vote from black women.

    And the Florida governor’s race came down to just 50,000 votes, meaning that Gillum likely would have won if he’d garnered the support from black women that he saw from black men, according to MTO News.

    Blacks pull through for Kemp in Georgia
    The Georgia gubernatorial race ended with a similarly shocking result: after receiving support from celebs like Oprah Winfrey, many Dems thought their candidate, Stacey Abrams, would prevail in Georgia to become the first African-American governor in U.S. history.

    But while 97 percent of black women supported Abrams, 10 percent of black men voted against her.

    That 10 percent meant a lot in her race against Brian Kemp, a Republican who won by just 17,000 votes in a forced runoff.

    Democrat pundits and candidates may be concerned about the growing number African-American voters marking Republican boxes, but the trend didn’t just start this election cycle, according to Washington Post columnist Vanessa Williams.

    “Those numbers are reminiscent of the double-digit level of support that Donald Trump got among black men in the 2016 presidential election,” Williams wrote in an op-ed publishing on Friday. “Trump endorsed Kemp, which helped him win a runoff primary contest in July, and he traveled to Georgia to stump for Kemp two days before the Nov. 6 election.”

    democrats have been somewhat incredulous at the new trend — but it’s not surprising to see Republicans garnering support from a variety of races and backgrounds, especially as President Trump has actively worked to improve the lives of middle-class Americans that were forgotten by the previous Barack Obama administration.

    And unfortunately for Dems, it doesn’t seem like Trump will be slowing his roll any time soon. If they want the blacks to vote blue in 2020, they best start acting now.

    This is a result of “snap” analysis the Dow reached a peak of 26458 this year and today it is 24599, all the gains this year has been wiped out. Additionally, as a result of the tax changes Corporations were supposed to invest their savings back into the economy and raise wages but several Companies e.g. Walmart gave their employees one time “bonuses” instead of wage increases and today GM announced it will close 5 plants in NA (one in Canada) who will the stable genius blame when he was supposed to bring jobs back but China and Mexico will be the beneficiaries of GM’s actions.

    When hundreds of illegal migrants attempted to storm past the U.S. border on Sunday, border patrol agents engaged the mob — and when the crowd began hurling rocks and debris, authorities deployed tear gas.

    The mainstream media immediately using the incident to attack President Donald Trump, accusing him of using inhumane tactics on women and children. Democratic lawmakers blasted the president as well, calling the border patrol’s actions “shameful” and “disgusting.”

    So where were these complaints in 2013, when former President Barack Obama’s border patrol did the same exact thing?

    “In 2013, during the Obama administration, Border Patrol agents reportedly used pepper spray to fend off a group of approximately 100 migrants who attempted to rush the same San Ysidro port of entry,” Fox News reported. “A San Diego Union-Tribune article at the time said agents fired ‘pepper balls’ and used other ‘intermediate use-of-force devices’ to repel the crowd. The migrants in that confrontation also reportedly threw rocks and bottles at U.S. authorities.”

    The biased media criticism of Trump echos liberal’s attempt to shame the White House’s family separation border policy earlier this year… but accidentally sharing a 2014 photo of a child being abused under the Obama administration.

    The Trump administration has refused to apologize for authorizing the defense of the U.S. border. Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said that illegal migrants “attempted to breach legacy fence infrastructure along the border and sought to harm [U.S. Customs and Border Protection] personnel by throwing projectiles at them.”

    Under pressure from the president, Mexico has also begun to reinforce security near the border. On Monday, police lined up outside a shelter in the city of Tijuana and told the illegal Central American migrants they couldn’t walk toward the border area.

    Mexico’s National Migration Institute said that 98 migrants were being deported after they tried to breach the U.S. border. Mexico’s Interior Department said about 500 migrants were involved in the attempt to rush the border, while U.S. authorities put the number at 1,000.

    Mexican officials said the migrants had taken part in “violent” chaos, which would not be tolerated.

    U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin McAleenan said on a call with reporters that 69 migrants who forced their way over the border illegally were arrested on the California side.

    He said the Border Patrol’s use of force policy allows agents to use tear gas and other non-lethal methods, but the incident would be reviewed and the situation was resolved without serious injury.

    “As the events unfolded, quick, decisive and effective action prevented an extremely dangerous situation,” he said.

    Mexico’s National Human Rights Commission said it “reiterates that members of the caravans that cross our country should respect Mexican laws and not engage in actions that affect the communities they pass through.”

    “It is important to note that the fact the Mexican government protects their rights,” the commission said, “does not imply a free pass to break the law.”

    In response, American authorities have shut down the nation’s busiest border crossing at San Ysidro for several hours at the end of the Thanksgiving weekend.

    More than 5,000 migrants have been camped in and around a sports complex in Tijuana after making their way through Mexico in recent weeks via carava

    Francisco Vega, the governor of Baja California, said almost 9,000 migrants were in the state — mainly in Tijuana, with a lesser number in Mexicali — and called it “an issue of national security.” Vega issued a public appeal to the federal government to take over responsibility for sheltering the migrants and deport those who were breaking the law.

    Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum on Friday declared a humanitarian crisis in his border city of 1.6 million, which he says is struggling to accommodate the crush of migrants that are demanding food and services.

It is rumoured that the Russians have him by the short and curlies too, and he can’t afford to take on Putin because of the “water bed”

    All of Europe has American military bases. Europe is no more than a satrapy of the USA. In the US itself there are 4000-plus military bases. They will soon turn of those who feed them.

    Before Obama came in there were 3 in all of Africa. When he left there were 84 military bases on the African continent. Obama the corporatist, no different than those coming before him.

    With Africa, this militarization is about denying China access to the raw materials of the continent and favouring their own multinationals. You know what this means should there be a war. Even a shiiiite-pot country like Israel is seeking bases in Africa as well.

    A few years ago the Russian Federation reclaimed Crimea, through popular vote, in the 90 percentile. Crimea was always a part of Russia. It was Stalin in 1939, we seem to remember, who ceded it to Ukraine, he was born in Ukraine.

    Also there is an election coming up soon in Ukraine and Poroshenko is concerned about his expected showing, thus the saber-rattling. Martial law has been declared. Poroshenko only has 7 to 8 percent in the leading polls. The incoming president may imprison him, Timoshenko.

    No sensible nation nor group of nations can f-around with the Great Bear. One hard slap and order will be hastily reestablished. The hawks in Washington love this opportunity to seek the war they can never win.

    It is a pure provocation, for political purposes, by the Ukrainian vassal state in the Sea of Azob

    What I can’t understand is how come the IRS which holds all of his tax returns, has not been able to find this out.

    If such a thing existed you would think the IRS would have been on top of it.

    Besides, would have leaked ages ago.

    The above tells me that you don’t understand the IRS’ mandate, it is a collector of taxes, it is not looking to see who loaned you money or who invested money in your corporation, there’s no prohibition against the Saudi’s or Russians lending or buying into any American entity as long as it doesn’t affect national security.

    The release of the tax returns would give the public an insight on how Trump’s actions/nonactions impacted on his and the family wealth.

    Dov Hikind is walking away from the Democrat party. At least until Chuck Schumer and the Democratic party becomes honest and sane.

    Hmmm. He may have walked away forever then. Hikind is a longtime and very powerful man in the New York Assembly. He criticized Schumer, and then continued to list the many accomplishments of President Trump. Hikind is no DINO (Democrat In Name Only).

    He is a bonafide left winger.

    The world has not seen a miracle such as Hikind praising Republicans since Moses parted the Red Sea! In a letter to Schumer, Hikind reminded him of all the good things that have happened to this country under the leadership of Donald Trump.

    “You forgot to tell us about the economy. As good as it’s been, economists expect even more growth through the end of the year,” Hikind began. “You forgot to tell us about unemployment, which is lower than it has been in decades, while economic confidence is at a 17-year high. It’s also at a record low for minorities.”

    Hikind chided Schumer for failing to acknowledge the United States’ strengthened ties with Israel which were weakened under President Barack Obama. “You forgot to tell us about the most remarkable relationship between the United States and our ally Israel ever. Or about moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, which you yourself applauded.

    Turning his attention to the now-defunct Iran deal, Hikind criticized Schumer for his silence after President Trump withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

    Hikind wrote:

    “You forgot to tell us about the successful dismantling of the Iran Deal—a deal which you yourself opposed and knew threatened the rest of the world by making it easier for Iran, the leading supporter of world terrorism, to develop nuclear weapons.”

    “Senator Schumer, as a fellow Democrat, I ask you to work to restore sanity and honesty to our party so I can feel good about supporting it fully. Until then, I’m afraid the Republicans have my support.”

    Ouch! That’s going to leave a mark!
