Donald Trump declared the winner of the US presidential election by the Electoral College

We will contend that what is generally referred to as a progressive socio-economic-political flank, located primarily on the โ€˜leftโ€™ or the โ€˜left of centreโ€™, but less so on the โ€˜rightโ€™ or โ€˜right of centreโ€™, has been dead for 50 years. The media fiction, on the left, has been keeping a dead political current alive as master narrative to mek money and mislead publics.

This subject is important because if progressives in North America and Europe are as useless as the evidence demonstrates, there can be no global convergence to protect small island states, like Barbados, from the most rabid Alt-Right forces which are preparing to descend on us all.

The Alt-Rightists will soon be controlling the IMF, the World Bank, the machinery for war, among other power levers. A country like Barbados could expect to surrender any perceived advantage (soft power) accumulated over time. Begging these criminals will not help. It would be encouragement to the enemy.

We will indict these so-called progressives for the emergence of a Donald Trump. The re-emergence of far-right parties in Europe. And the hollowing-out of any gains ordinary people have made in the past. Surely, Trump must signal a new era.

We will cast these โ€˜progressivesโ€™ as a bunch of spineless sycophants who allowed, in the case of the USA, a succession of ignorant, backward, Republican minded idiots, to take power. And do so from minority positions.

Our point of departure could be 1968, you choose. Since then weโ€™ve had Nixon, Carter, Ford, Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, Obama and now Trump. So from the height to the nadir of โ€˜progressivismโ€™, in this recent incarnation, weโ€™ve had less real progressives elected to the highest office than during the period of the first half of the 20th century โ€“ FDR, Teddy Roosevelt, for example.

The American โ€˜progressiveโ€™ has acquiesced so much that it is no wonder the best policy to be contrived, recently, had to do with the institutionalization of an agenda against mother nature herself.

The mainly White, highly โ€˜educatedโ€™, progressives are all about form not function. They are cowards, lacking a scintilla of courage. All about an empty rhetoric, as a means to blur the lines between themselves and the Republicans. The progressive agenda has always been a White man’s trick.

The republicans or conservatives play no such games. They see politics as war by other means and are prepared to move heaven and earth to their will.

In the Obama presidency alone, the Republicans have given us government shutdowns; illegal wars; mass defunding of social programs, developed to help the poor; filibustered an Obama Supreme Court nominee for over 300 days; gerrymandered the country to make certain of perennial control of the House of Representatives and the Senate; consistently stole elections by the disenfranchisement of primarily Black and Latino voters.

Not even when confronted with irrefutable evidence progressives have no meaning responses. They possess the worst kind of cowardice.

In North Carolina, a Republican Pat McCrory, the incumbent, was ‘defeated’ by a Democrat, Roy Cooper, in the Governorโ€™s race, 2016. But since November 8th and several recounts, McCrory has failed to concede despite a nearly unassailable 10,000 vote lead by Cooper.

What is more, the Republican State Legislature in NC, in anticipation of the defeat of the Republican Incumbent Governor, has acted to severely cut the constitutional powers of the incoming Governor. Powers the current Governor enjoyed.

In the UK. We are not convinced that the Labour Party of Jeremy Corbyn has laid out anything new. He too seems wedded to traditional progressive agendas. But the political environment has markedly changed and requires different responses from hollowed-out labour parties. Maybe the alt-Right of Farage and company will repeat, in the UK, the Trumpism progressives in the US have made flesh.

In Barbados, it may take a decade or more for us to see some official recognition of the death of progressive โ€˜idealsโ€™ as historically constructed.

All this is happening and there is hardly a whimper from the supine progressives in the Democratic Party, in the USA, or even Barbados. Maybe they are used to being in a submissive position with the ruthless Republicans driving home an advantage no minority should have.

Moreover, the case of the defeat of Clinton is indeed emblematic of the perennial weakness of progressives. With over a billion dollars and an ability to raise much more; possessing a far superior case than Trump; currently having control of the Obama presidency; and with all of these advantages, the pooch-pickers called progressives could not defeat a demagogue, a narcissist, an apolitical madman like Donald Trump.

Progressives, in an age of Trump, cannot be expected to offer any determined, courageous, resistance to the Hitler of our times. Already, we are seeing that they intend to be as supportive of Trump as they were of Bush#2. Even if they had majorities on Capitol Hill, which they do not, they will be just as compliant.

Progressives will be more interested in notions of working with the devil, Trump, than defending their constituencies which are largely anti-Trump. They are sell-outs. It is the progressives who have people of colour voting for agendas for which there is no benefit to the voter. And Black people make no demands of the system. Not even on matters of life and death, like police shootings.

Presently, progressives on popular media are still licking their wounds from the Clinton defeat. When all the sobbing and gnashing of teeth is over, aided by their media bosses, people like Rachel Maddow, Lawrence Oโ€™Donnell, Chris Matthews, Joy Reid, Anderson Cooper and others on MSNBC, as well as those on CNN, will be brought to heel. It will be unsurprising when the Trump administration demands more favourable coverage, like any dictator has, in return for access, pretenses will have to come to an end. Without access these media houses might as well play dead.

This is how the game is played by โ€˜progressiveโ€™ media bosses, on the left, who are only committed to money, in the final analysis. The same media bosses who gave Trump, in kind, the equivalent of 2.5 billion dollars in free advertising/coverage because ratings were high and the spectacle of the pre-election season meant more to their top and bottom lines, a measure of success! In sum Trump has been, and is more so now, a creature of mainstream media. And the progressives will never apologize for imposing him on us. Their attitude was that Clinton would win, regardless. Now, let them consign themselves to being the anachronistic dead-beats they have long been.

The peoples of the world were, long time ago, sold out by the progressive agenda. It was, of late, essentially a response to Communism and gave yeoman service to right-wing forces thus creating the illusion of political pluralism, mass mobilization around social needs. Now that the Right has discovered that they can create populism, of the Right as well as the left, those alt-Right forces will soon deem left-wing populism and progressives themselves totally unnecessary.

Hal…living in the UK, you should know that all the Windsors are related, even through marriage, Diana was also a Windsor cousin, the Spencers.

The only one not related is this girl now married to Diana’s son, the bloodlines got too polluted with inbreeding through the centuries, they had to go outside the tainted blood for some kind of normalcy and less madness.

Fareed Zakaria is unable to give a critical asessment of Obama.

By any measure Zakaria is an ass-licker.

He like Obama comes from the same stable – the George Soros, et al cabal.

  4. The Obama story is all about Obama the ambitious politician. Nothing more.

Obama himself has never felt much kinship with African-Americans, and he has signalled repeatedly that African-American culture is defective. Like many white Democrats, he has exploited black voters by presenting himself on TV as committed to addressing their concerns, but once in office he has done even less than white Republicans to relieve black poverty and subjugation. He has created “universal” programs designed to help “all Americans in need”, but most of the benefits from those programs have gone to whites and Hispanics.

When he made it to the White House, he had a mandate from the electorate to overhaul the Executive Branch of the federal government and propose radical legislation (Hope and Change). Instead of seizing the opportunity, he appointed stale, conventional Establishment politicians (Leon Panetta, Rahm Emmanuel, Arne Duncan) and recycled Clinton supporters and advisors ( Larry Summers, Janet Yellen, John Podesta, Jennifer Palmieri, Susan Rice et al) to the top jobs he controlled. He let two corrupt Democrat leaders, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi draft a major health care reform initiative. And he let old school Keynesian economists control his economic program.

He spent much of his time attending meaningless conferences and state ceremonies, while his wife and children took expensive vacations at public expense.

    What a joker.

  5. I am not an Obama fan; I believe his great contribution to black American history was being elected.
But only an idiot will assume that to give a critical analysis of the Obama years must be foulmouthed and vile, if not it would be unacceptable.
    @Chad,
I gave a talk years ago at Combermere in which I said the same thing about Obama’s Cabinet.
The global financial crisis was more complex than just the collapse of Lehman Bros. There is an unarticulated racism involved, again a point I made in a talk at the Barbados high commission. We mustr not allow economic history to forget this.

Setback for future trade agreements as strange coalition of Democrats and conservative Republicans came together on Friday to defeat Barack Obama in a crippling blow to his international trade agenda.

With the Democratic minority leader, Nancy Pelosi, speaking in opposition to the bill and going directly against Obama less than three hours after the president begged his partyโ€™s caucus to support it, the vote on trade adjustment assistance (TAA) โ€“ which would have provided government aid to workers who had lost their jobs because of free trade agreements โ€“ marks not just a major setback for future trade agreements but for Obamaโ€™s influence in his own caucus.

The failed vote came as part of an effort by liberals to torpedo attempts by the Obama administration to pass the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) free trade deal.

  9. Obama has nothing to be ashamed he inherited an economy brought over from the republican years of trickled down economics fueled by republican policies that failed the american people and allowed greedy banks and other corrupt financial institutions to throw world economies into economic free fall
As Obama leaves the white house the economic signs are those of improvement low unemployment.Small islahd nations beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel brought about by major improvement in an industry most dependable on tourism an industry which was caught in the the economic down turn because of the colossal failures attached to world financial institutions and soaring unemployment worldwide
a look at the stock market will shows the upward trend of progress most in part to the Obama policies although some would rather believe that the trends should be attributed to DT being elected a man who has given more reasons for concern than to be jubilant
Yesterday DT mouthings once again send shock waves across the globe as he presented a plan for america escalation of nuclear arms

That is why Bill Clinton in my view still remains first black president of this country because one can see by Obama’s actions that he detests black people. Now take for example: how many times Obama visited the Caribbean during his presidency when compared to Bill Clinton? And Obama out all Americans, prefers to vacation in Hawaii rather than the Caribbean.

  11. @Chad
Obama himself has never felt much kinship with African-Americans, and he has signalled repeatedly that African-American culture is defective.
    ++++++++++
It bears repeating Obama was the President of the United States of America not of Black America, why would he choose to work as a Community Organiser for a group of people he was alienated from? Why after being the first Black to be President of Harvard Review he didnโ€™t choose to become a fig leaf for any of several Law firms that could showcase him as an example of their diversity? Why did he say โ€œIf I had a son he would look like Trayvonโ€ when he could have made many other statements that wouldnโ€™t personally connect him with a young black man? Why are his best friends (people he hangs with goes on vacation with) Black? People who donโ€™t have a kinship with African-Americans exhibit it much more subtle ways and Obama has always showed an affinity with Black Americans.

Black people donโ€™t like when a light is shined upon the Black Community by one of their own and Obama tried to ask the Community to look within itself to correct some of the problems that affect it as he realized there is only so much that any President can accomplish, for that he was pilloried some elements of the Black community notably Cornel West and Tavis Smiley, Jesse Jackson famously said he would like to cut his balls out (BTW Jacksonโ€™s daughter is godparent to the Obamaโ€™s first child).

Itโ€™s too early for any substantive analysis, Zakariaโ€™s take is akin to a quick to TV program after a public event not enough meat in any event he was subject to a time analysis with requisite time for commercials etc.

  12. Sargeant December 23, 2016 at 8:42 AM #

    Well stated….could not agree more.

  13. The amazing thing about you BU people is that you seriously seem to think that somehow we should be able to achieve utopia …while conforming to a warped, selfish, hateful, albino-centric system that puts materialism above all else, humanity somewhere near the bottom, and spirituality not even on the table.

    It WILL NOT HAPPEN.

In the circumstances, Obama was a brilliant president who picked up the pieces left littering the global landscape post-Bush, and who actually brought hope (false though it was) at a time when we all expected doom.
He and his family brought a level of decorum to the presidency that redefined black culture – and even white culture, and he projected a a level of intelligence and wit that does great credit to Blacks everywhere.

Those who seriously expected a half-black man who did the impossible to become president … to ALSO solve the world’s problems and save us all ….are simple-minded morons.

    BTW @ Chad
Obama was raised by a WHITE mother and family. It is obvious that his inclination would be thusly influenced. In any case, if he thinks “that African-American culture is defective” then he is 100% correct. It is a shiite culture that is gutter focused, albino-centric and completely misguided. Considering that Blacks constitute the ORIGINAL man that BBE designed in his own image with limitless potentialities, so-called “African American culture” is probably the greatest abomination that has ever existed….

  14. To be fair to Obama, he INHERITED a society that, for 232 years, oppressed black people.

So how on earth could he be expected to reverse that oppression and be the โ€œblack manโ€™s saviorโ€ in 8 years, especially when many of his policies were rejected by the senate/house (or whatever itโ€™s called) was always against him.

Some of the Obama critics seem to forget that his tenure as president was not as bad as they are making it out to be.

In 2009, he signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, introduced a US$787B stimulus in the US economy. A year later and continuously for 23 months, the private sector created a total of approximately 3.7 million new private sector jobs.

Also, in 2009 he provided a $62B investment in the auto industry, which enabled Chrysler and General Motors to create 250,000 jobs.

In 2010, he increased the Department of Veterans Affairsโ€™ budget by 16% and 10% in 2011 in an effort to assist war veterans, especially those who returned from Iraq and Iran. He also signed new GI bill offering $78 billion in tuition assistance over a decade, and provided multiple tax credits to encourage businesses to hire veterans.

These are a fraction of the policies Obama was able to introduce.

  15. On the other hand, the USA now have Trump saying he โ€œwill bring back our jobsโ€ by taxing US companies that outsource jobs to countries such as China.

Obama introduced a bill to ELIMINATE the TAX CONCESSIONS companies receive when they outsource jobs overseas, which was BLOCKED by the Republicans, allowing the status quo to remain. In other words, those companies that outsourced jobs would have been taxed, thereby encouraging jobs to REMAIN in America. Sounds familiar? Yes, because itโ€™s Trumpโ€™s calling card.

The Republicans also BLOCKED the bill that would have expanded benefits to homeless veterans and homeless veterans with children.

They also BLOCKED The Jobs Bill-, which was designed to offset payroll taxes for 1 year for companies hiring new employees, or people receiving unemployment insurance and to give other tax incentives to companies hiring new employees.

I remember, during the campaign, Trump talking about immigration and โ€œbuilding a wallโ€ at Mexicoโ€™s border to keep out Mexicans. Previously, the Republicans suggested there should be a reform of US immigration policy. However, when Obama supported a COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM, the Republicans vehemently OPPOSED and VOTED AGAINST the suggestion.

Trump said he is going to do so many things for the US military, including increasing the size, pay and equipment, which was accepted by his supporters. Obama wanted the Department of Defense to recognize spouses and children of members of the Armed forces; enhance the Troops-to-Teachers Program; increase the militaryโ€™s basic pay in the 2011 fiscal year; and improve aural protection for members of the Armed Forcesโ€ฆโ€ฆ all of which were BLOCKED by the Republicans.

The Republicans even BLOCKED the Political Ad Disclosure Bill, which would have required all donors to political campaigns to reveal themselves.

Obama may not have been the best US president, but I believe, rather than having โ€œone sidedโ€ criticisms of his tenure, by constantly highlighting his failures, his accomplishments, as well as the circumstances that led to his failures should also be highlighted, to gave a more balanced perspective.

  16. When I say Obama is an ambitious politician who felt little attachment to the black community, I am saying he skilfully used black people to get ahead and make a glorious career for himself in a way that was morally indefensible.

He almost certainly got into Harvard Law as an affirmative action student, and he became editor of the Law Review by exploiting the colour of his skin. By all accounts, his grades were not as high as other law review editors and he never published a single scholarly article while he presided over the editorial board.

He probably would not have lasted very long in a high-powered corporate law firm, so he went quickly into teaching and politics, and pretended to be a Christian so he could use a Chicago church to build his profile with black voters. He does not have a religious bone in his body.

An inauthentic man, calculating and opportunistic.

  17. Obama was and is a war criminal.

He has unleashed the worst kind of Praetorian warfare this world has known

That is likely to be with us for decades

While brassbowls like Hal Austin continue to blame Muslims and not the backers, like Theresa May, who pay Daesh.

The British are well-known as the real purveyors of terrorism, for centuries. And they did this all over the world.

Obama has legitimize bulling and was persistent in trying to impose same on poor countries of the world.

There is not one initiative which Obama has embarked upon to help Black people. In politics your constituencies are suppose to benefit from your election as an interest group, not so for Black people under Obama.

The reverse is true. Blacks are worst off, relative to other groups, than 100 years ago, under Obama.

Those who believe that there is to be sum merit in trying to thread a needle or be nostalgic about stinking Obama should remember that in the absence of Obama there would be no Trump.

Look, why stinking, ugly, ignorant Hal Austin don’t go and peep under the Queen’s crutch.

We are always ‘foulmouthed’ and it will never stop. We curse because we hate idiots like you and your masters.

We see it as a legitimate language so to you we say F++k-off!

And be Christ, we shall cuss you all, all the time.

  18. Chad which politician or political party that u know have not used black people for their own benefit
However to pin point Obama is totally unfair and such loaded statements are used by the degenerates of the republican party as sounding board to spew politcal propaganda and divide the black communities
Most people in the American black community are absolutely happy with Obama governance. The few who are unhappy are mostly republicans who expected Obama to carry on the policies of the republican party policies which elimanted programs in the inner cities dealing with health and education.
The Republucan Party in the last election might have won the war but must not underestimate the power of the black people in their haste once again to eliminate necessary social programs that help the most vulnerable

  19. @ Chad9999 9:54 AM
    Pathetic and beneath you….
Anyone listening to Obama in any intellectual exchange from the time he was a candidate can’t but admit the man’s unquestioned intelligence, charm and wit.
    What affirmative action what??!!
    How mean and petty!!

Obama was everything that you seem to dream to be…
…a black ‘success’ in a white, albino-centric world.

You and Pacha have to decide which playing field wunna on….
…Is it the actual, REAL, albino-centric, selfish, cut-throat, materialistic, hate filled, power driven world..?
…or wunna on the altruistic, community-centric, selfless and forgiving world of LOVE and spiritual upliftment?

Obama became president in world number 1. Who in their right mind can therefore expect to judge him based on the values of world number 2?

That was the damn mistake that David Thompson made….
You CANNOT rise to power under the CLICO Devil …and then expect to be a saint.

Obama became president by skilfully using the SYSTEM. He survived his two terms as an agent of the SYSTEM….. this meant drone murders, compromises with demons, and stifling any remnants of a conscience. He did this with charm, grace and wit ….to the extent that even his detractors admit to his greatness.

When Bushie rises to similar power, it will be by using the OTHER system ..in world number 2. Wunna can then judge the Bushman on fairness, honesty, social development and social justice…. ๐Ÿ™‚
….but judge Obama based on the rules of this nasty world we now inhabit.

Apples with apples …and pears with pears.
The man is a BOSS brass bowl!!!

  20. Miller;
Don’t ever use “their manifest destiny” in any reference to Blacks. Manifest Destiny is a concept articulated by one of the Migrants to “The New World”; escaping persecution in Ireland, who settled in New England, wo postulated that it was “their Manifest Destiny” to populate the “new land” and expropriate it to their own use, to the exclusion of all others, including the original inhabitants (the Indians), even if it meant genocide and any other means to make the land their own. Read up, or look it up, and then talk of Manifest Destiny.

  23. Obama is a war criminal

Only a pot smiking dope head like u woyld come up with that assessment
The wars which were left fueling in places like Afghastian by the Republican and Iraq and Palestinian and Israel were drawn down on policies which were inherited by Obama
However Obama commitment to bring home soldiers in those war tirn areas and which he did has been severly crtivised by the war machinery inside thr repiblican party
It is very hard and unconvincing to see a man who have been very passive aggressive pursuing humanatarian policies to avoid death and catastrophe brought about by americas miltary might as a war criminal
The ongoing war in Syria is one model or evidence wherby Obama used the model of a humantarianism to deal with the refuge plight rather than send american soldiers in the operations of war to be killed and kill

  24. Like the DLP Obama promised to be the bastion of hope, to usher in change. He leaves office with his promises largely unfulfilled.

  25. @ Pacha
Pachamama is for the total destruction of this system of things.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Well you won’t have to wait much longer…
But you will find that destruction is not a pleasant experience to endure.

The point is that Obama excelled in the present nasty system.
He could not do so by being a saint….. unless of course he had a whacker….

There is only so much that can be extracted from a fundamentally flawed system however….
So as you correctly called, only the total DESTRUCTION of the current system of selfishness, wickedness and graft can take us to the kind of results that we all want, ..and which are NOT POSSIBLE without LOVE….

  26. Everyone should know that when Obama took control of the largest fiscal stimulus program in American history, he allocated the biggest expenditures to mostly corrupt “green energy research programs”. The rest of the money was sent to corrupt state and local politicians to do mundane things like raise teacher salaries. Conspicuously absent was any program to improve America’s inner cities where many blacks live.

Internationally, the Obama administration cut funding for HIV drug programs in Africa that George Bush had expanded.

We are better off with white presidents.

@Sargeant December 23, 2016 at 1:43 AM โ€ฆ. Re โ€œItโ€™s amazing how easily some people are influenced by the narrative coming from Hillaryโ€™s opponents that we accept any allegation as fact.โ€ AND โ€œTime to reset the doomsday clock.โ€ —— Letโ€™s agree to disagree.

Donald Trump has reinvented the term โ€˜populistโ€™ as he has refined the ability to say what โ€˜his publicโ€™ wants to hear when in fact he will do exactly what is best for him and his cohorts. In sum: status quo for the wealthy, White elite.

Do yo recall the hue and cry when Clinton was rather ridiculously accused of that same thing in those Wall St. speeches to which you referred!

There is no true โ€˜dooms-dayโ€™ concern from Trump. This apparent saber rattling by these two alpha leaders redounds to more expenditure in their economy and specifically to the military apparatus and their friends. There is absolutely no possibility that the US or Russia would start in nuclear war.

I am not going to relitigate the Clinton candidacy. Despite all the evidence of her abject corrupt behavior – or collusion towards apparent corrupt behavior, if you prefer โ€“ with the Clinton foundation; her inanely misguided email setup; years of missteps (that options trading ting eons back and all the ridiculous scandals)โ€ฆdespite all that if you can still assert that discerning voters were โ€œeasily influenced by the narrative coming from Hillaryโ€™s opponentsโ€ then I bow to your judgment!

Re Trump, of course he is similarly corrupt. In fact he is worst. But the man is very shrewd. He got way ahead of practically every scandalous aspect of his career by lambasting Clinton as worse than he was in every sphere. He obfuscated, manipulated and blatantly lied when necessary to win the day.

Again no need to revisit the campaign but my highlights were:

    — The look on Bill Clinton face when Trump paraded his female harassed victims at the debate. That had all the merits for a MC advert: It was absolutely โ€˜Pricelessโ€™.

    — Trump’s continued lament that he knew more than all the generalsโ€ฆpure theater for his everyman, rural crew. Those folks tend to revere the military and basically they never took him seriously but in his seemingly obzocky way he surely kept the issue of Clintonโ€™s military missteps top of mind.

    — A billionaire 3-story apt suite resident on frigging tony 5th Ave, NY is the savior for the everyman Smalltown USA. What baloney. There is an image of an average looking guy thrusting money at โ€˜poorโ€™ Trump during one of his campaign stops. Mind-blowing astounding.

So, letโ€™s agree to disagree. Trump will make all Clintonโ€™s infelicities tawdry, petty moments. That was clear from day one.

โ€œMy wonderful son, Eric, will no longer be allowed to raise money for children with cancer because of a possible conflict of interest with my presidency. Isn’t this a ridiculous shame?โ€ Said the Pres elect.

This the same man who lambasted Clinton and her ties to the Clinton foundation relentlessly.

As I have said before, I await the first terror attack on a Trump branded site. How he handles the aftermath of that will determine his tenureโ€ฆbut please note he has already set the table with his repeated blustery about being โ€˜rightโ€™ on terrorism.

So in truth when he acts with his awesome vengeance the world and Congress may in fact applaud him rather then start impeachment!

Incidentally, excellent riposte to Chad45’s utter folly re Obama. And to you also @BT.

The man certainly was not perfect but to suggest that he did not thread that racial needle so carefully as Pres of the ENTIRE US is nonsense.

I too agree that the Travon remark was colossal and really said it all. One of those reasons that Trump wants to ‘make America bigly white-themed again’.

  28. Well, we think every president of the USA was a war criminal.

Trump is as well, and he’s not even ‘President’, as yet.

What Obama did, as a war criminal, was to destroy the Libyan civilization, destroyed Syria, destroyed Yemen

None of these countries were at war at the beginning of 2009.

We haven’t smoked pot but believe that NO naturally growing plant could be illegal

We exempt transgenic organisms, of course.

We will never let anybody tell us, or obey any law saying, that naturally growing plants could have some benefit to mankind. That no stupid law could tell us what should go into our bodies.

It is your blackened, smoker’s mouth, of Obama which has smoked the dope, is a change smoker. Did the cocaine, not us.

Are you the same person who thought this article was so good, yesterday.

Well, that tells us that in addition to your notorious ignorance, you have no real ability to think for yourself, no honour.

Obama is one of those ‘progressives’ who gave us Trump. Was that not clear from this article.

Like the DLP Obama promised to be the bastion of hope, to usher in change. He leaves office with his promises largely unfulfilled.

    ALL such promises are unfulfillable.
It is not possible to plant peas and reap corn. As Pacha has been saying all along, only the total destruction of the present materialistic system of selfishness and spite, …and its replacement with the diametrically opposite system of LOVE, selflessness and community-focus has the possibility of promising hope, peace and success.

ABC News ยท Race theory has wreaked untold misery and been used to justify barbaric acts of colonialism, slavery and even genoc

  33. But David

If you go back and read BU, 8 years ago, you will also find that a critical mass made that conclusion back then.

  34. What is the sense about talking about Obamaโ€™s grades or Clinton being a below par lawyer, but at the same time PRAISING a below par student such a Donald Trump.

After spending two years at Fordham University in New York, Trump was supposed to have transferred the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce and was reported to have graduated from that institution in 1968.

It is amazing that Obama โ€œbecame editor of the Law Reviewโ€ at Harvard, while, from all reports, students at Wharton hardly remember Trump and he received poor grades as well.

Trump grew up as a rich white man during the racial segregation and civil rights periods in the USA and it would be very interesting to know what is views of black people were at that time.

According the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, on May 30, 1927, Trumpโ€™s father, Fred C. Trump was one of 7 KKK members arrested after the KKK clashed with police.

The senior Trump had a policy of not renting rooms to African Americans, which was continued as Donald Trump assumed a prominent role in his fatherโ€™s business. It was reported that, in 1963, a 33 year old African American nurse, Maxine Brownโ€™s application to rent a room in Trumpโ€™s Wilshire Apartments in the Jamaica Estates neighborhood of Queens was rejected.

The Justice Department investigated allegations of racial discrimination by the Trumps for refusing to rent to African-Americans apartments. In 1973 the Justice Department apparently gathered enough evidence to sue Trump Management (Fred Trump, chairman and Donald Trump, president) for discriminating against African Americans.

Trump can also be described as โ€œAn inauthentic man, calculating and opportunisticโ€ racist.

  35. The notion that “races aren’t real” is as foolish as the claim that “there are at least 52 genders”.

Stop the nonsense. I look different and smell different from a Chinese. End of story.

  36. Donald Trump is an action-oriented, can-do businessman whose accomplishments are physical (major building projects) and financial (building an enormous personal fortune in New York City, the most competitive of environments).

Neither Hillary nor Obama can boast these accomplishments.

  37. @Bush Tea

Obama had the opportunity in his last term as a lame duck to become an advocate for minorities. He had good reason given the current tensions. He like the others before him was/is more concerned with legacy building.

Doesn’t mean he is not a good person.

  38. TEHRAN, Dec. 23 (MNA) โ€“ Head of Parliament NSFPC Alaeddin Boroujerdi told reporters on Fri. that he believes the US was behind the assassination of Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov in Turkey.
Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission (NSFPC) Alaeddin Boroujerdi deemed highly suspicious the Monday terror attack on Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov, adding โ€œI believe that the murder had been plotted by the Americans, because Turkey is a member of NATO and the close ties the country has developed with Russia is not in the interests of the United States.โ€

โ€œIt appears that the assassination was a warning to Turkey that the US wants the country to tread on the path that further reinforces the Americansโ€™ national interests,โ€ he added.

  40. David

He is a senior government official, in that region.

Does anybody, given the fake news by the mainstream, any less reliable. As you said

We’ve found these people don’t tell lies. They may avoid certain truths, mislead for security reasons etc. More accountable at home. They are more likely to be silent.

We feel so too. But no evidence.

  41. David,
Such ideas come from a sick mind. It is no joke.

  42. Yuh ugly c++t-H

  43. Retreating to the language you know best. I wonder if the Barbados security service is taking an interest in you. Your behaviour amounts to incitement. Plus you must be a terrorist suspect. Are you a New Barbadian?

  45. Relax guys. Hal ignore Pacha, he feeds off your responses.

    Tis the season…

  46. @ Chad99999
Donald Trump is an action-oriented, can-do businessman whose accomplishments are physical (major building projects) and financial….
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    …and so was Adolf H.
…and he was not too damn bright either ..if Bushie recalls….

    @ David
Obama had the opportunity in his last term as a lame duck to become an advocate for minorities.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++’
This sounds politically correct. But how does one become an ‘advocate’ for a brass bowl?
…give them some more bling / money / free houses?
…appoint them to positions like Supervisor of Insurance or Manager of the Transport Board?
…make them chairman of your various Boards?

Boss, a brass bowl is a brass bowl. The only real ‘help’ possible is to change the nature of the metal….. neither Obama (nor Bushie) can do that.

    The system is fatally flawed.
Perhaps Obama (like Pacha) is actually brilliant enough to see this REALITY without having had to be spoon-fed like Bushie….

Either we recognise that we are planting peas when we want corn … and dig up the whole farm and start afresh….. or we continue to reap peas…..

  47. โ€œDonald Trump is an action-oriented, can-do businessman whose accomplishments are physical (major building projects) and financial (building an enormous personal fortune in New York City, the most competitive of environments).โ€

Similar accolades could be attributed to Allen Stanford, Bernie Madoff and Leroy Parris. But I must admit that, despite the Trump University, Trump Institute and Donald J. Trump Foundation scams and manipulating the system to avoid paying taxes, the scam artist Trump is smart enough not to have been caught like Stanford or Madoff.

During the election campaign Trump was highly critical of the Clinton Foundation, and this coming from a man whoโ€™s Trump Foundation has been continually under scrutiny.

Melania Trump used $20,000 of foundation funds to buy a six-foot painting of Trump at a charity art auction; and Trump bid $12,000 in foundation money to win a football helmet signed by quarterback Tim Tebow. These examples appear to violate IRS rules against charity officials engaging in โ€œself-dealing.โ€

Trump said his theory on how politicians worked was: โ€œWhen you give, they do whatever the hell you want them to do.โ€

In September 2013, Trump, through his charity foundation, donated $25,000 to a group backing the reelection of Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, โ€œa few days after news reports indicated that Bondiโ€™s office was reviewing complaints against Trumpโ€™s real estate seminar company.โ€
Bondiโ€™s office subsequently declined to pursue an investigation into fraud claims against Trump University. He had to pay a $2,500 tax penalty because the IRS prohibits non-profit organizations, such as Trumpโ€™s, from making political donations.

Donald trump is not the โ€œsaintโ€ youโ€™re trying to make him out to be. And it seems as though you have significant problems with black people and women of all races.

Iโ€™m done with this Trump shiite.
