I will urge the people to vote out this government as soon as possible if they fail to bring integrity laws. This situation is really ridiculous. This government knew full well why its campaign message was centred around bringing such legislation.

I have always held Prime Minister  Stuart as an honest man and do not believe he is involved in corruption but the upholder is as good as the thief if he continues to sit and allow this situation to continue he must be painted with the same brush. There is no plausible explanation why going into their seventh year of mis- governing this country that integrity laws should not have been enacted.

This situation makes the Attorney General and his department look impotent. My lord there is Viagra on the market i.e. the backing of the populace demanding such legislation. The only conclusion there can be is that both parties are cut from the same cloth. I have supported this party for all my life but I am rapidly loosing faith

    Many of the DLP candidates were on the verge of bankruptcy prior to the elections in 2008.
    You do not become a millionaire on the salary paid by the Government.
    Integrity legislation would not allow MPs to become millionaires undetected.
    When you get the first million, it is difficult to resist the temptation to acquire the next and the next and on and on……..

    Integrity legislation is therefore the last thing on their minds.

    The court marshals were looking for one of them because there was a warrant out for his arrest for failing to pay child maintenance. He was unemployed. Another could not pay the rent on his place of business and was facing eviction. I could go on but do you really want me to.

    As we are on the matter of Integrity I must ask as it was asked last evening in Parliament, why is it that the Leader of Hm Loyal Opposition has been DEAF , DUMB and MUTE on the matter of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE in this country ???

    As was noted last evening she once accepted to do an address and was a NO SHOW on the evening of the said event why has she been so silent where is her voice on this burning issue that is such a hot topic in Barbados ???
    After all she speaks on any and every thing else why not DOMESTIC AND SPOUSAL ABUSE MOTTLEY ???

    Tell Me More as it is not like Mottley not to stick her mouth in any and everything even when she is out to sea on most matters that she speaks about, hot air and pretty words but empty as ever.
    .
    How dare Mottley describe Kerry Symmonds as A JOKER and as having NO ABILITY and as SOMEONE WHO IS SERIOUSLY ALLERGIC TO WORK, when she herself is not known for a work ethic ???

    Anyway I am waiting to hear a place and a time as I plan to attend when and where she will do her first address to the people of Barbados on DOMESTIC and SPOUSAL ABUSE.

    Who have to pay 400 to 1600 bds to drive a car or family van in this world,

    Ask MIA and all of them for the land they own by way of ACTS and FRAUD.
    There is no Government Land , The land have an owner
    if you all can not understand that then you will never understand what is going on .
    Those who like to say all the land is own by the crown then why pay taxes and why look to buy what is already own,

    PRINCIPLES UNDERLYING THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK FOR INTEGRITY IN PUBLIC LIFE IN BARBADOS

    Background

    It is important to note that Adams introduced Integrity in Public Life Bill in Parliament in 1979, but permitted it to die in the Senate. Further, the Hon. Henry Forde when he served as Leader of the Opposition in 1992 tabled a Resolution calling for a Committee of Parliament to formulate proposals for an Integrity Commission and to update the existing laws regulating integrity in public life. However, these initiatives have not been pursued by the BLP administration that came to power in September 1994, and is still in office today. Indeed, while the authorities signed the Inter-American Convention Against Corruption in April 2001, Barbados stands alone among the thirty-four contracting parties in its failure to ratify the Convention. Further, while Barbados served as the CARICOM regional negotiator in the negotiation of an international legal instrument against corruption under the aegis of the United Nations General Assembly, and signed the resulting convention in December 2003, to date, that too, has not been ratified.

    Well, I pay two thousand US annually, for a one family car. But I do not have to pay it all at once… it’s broken up into quarter. And that’s pretty cheap because my car is approximately three years old. The newer the car, the more you pay on this side of the river.

    The Make and Model of the car determines the car taxes one pays. Also, the municipal government exercise oversight over car taxes here and for that reason, it varies from municipality to municipality.

    “Both parties cut from the same cloth”.. hmmm very true. But would it be even more accurate to suggest that our Barbados society on the whole is also from the same material. ? Take a closer look below the political level , and you will find integrity and transparency in very short supply with cronyism and brown nosing in abundance. ie how many of our sporting bodies can stand up to a higher scrutiny ? Benny , you may despair, but no action will be forthcoming because the idea is an alien concept that will raise it’s head from time to time only when it affects us on a very personal level or when it embarrasses us on the international stage. And the leaders on both the political and civic circus are well aware, and that is why we keep getting dupe all the time

    I know of a certain dead now Permanent Secretary, whose name rhymes with Gibbons, had hands that where so hot in the cooky jar that he was nailed out of his office and given a slap on the wrist transfer to another ministry that is suppose to be civil in the government service. He and a crooked contractor that has a familiar name that sounds like Santa Claus or the saint first to the front, and who should be on edge if not up hill by now, plot to ensure that the cost over runs on a roof change project in the South, would double the original cost. When the goodly auditor reported on the matter in the South indicating that the matter needed investigation onto police intervention the crooked Owen Arthur Administration swept it under the rug and protect their top crook.The PS retried from that ministry that is suppose to be civil, and weeks after retiring he did not live long enough to enjoy the riches of his gifts.

    Understand something here, if I was in the position to receive gifts and deals why the ass would I want to create transparency legislation or legislation that says I have to declare my assets. Not for shite. And this government is basically stalling and telling all a wunna cunts who waiting for it to be passed…NOT FUH SHITE..

    well well , WE have over 50 Names of persons who sold land to BEATRICE HENRY, JUST THINK ALL , all the names had to be removed at the archives search and counter search and the gaps filled to cover up the name on the CONVEYANCE. The books are in shambles or just loose pages with not number to show what pages are missing.

    Plantations…….the politicians have reduced and devalued the island into a pit of corruption, over and over the pharmacists and suppliers to QEH have complained incessantly about not being paid for their supplies yet now we hear the QEH is purchasing supplies from Sandy Crest private clinic in Holetown, Sandy Crest is owned by Harris of CGI, since when does a private clinic supply a state hospital with basic necessities such as IV’s etc, we can guarantee there is some scam and kickback going on with the ministers involved……..something has to give, Harris has devalued the Transport Board, the QEH will be next, he now has full control of private healthcare to the detriment of Bajans, the useless ass politicians are now allowing him to devalue the QEH, I have never heard of private clinics selling supplies and equipment to state run hospitals, that definitely has to be a first in high level stupidity.

    Has anyone taken note of how powerful this Mark Maloney has become in Barbados never mind the ignorant, lied statement from the worst tourism minister ever in the house on Tuesday.

    …………”when informed that government had actually retrenched the 58 persons who worked with the Beautify Barbados project for the past 17 years cleaning the highway, Maloney said it had nothing to do with his project”.

    Can anyone believe the arrogance of this man? According to him, he was planning and plotting this scheme for six years. His project has pushed out these workers but it is not his fault…….they can go somewhere else. Go where, Mark Maloney? To prison?

    I would not condemn the project but as usual, it is the poor black people who are the casualties!

    Lord I cant take it no more!

    What a Nasty state of affairs, open fraud and sucking the new taxes to come out before its even collected, People need t go to JAIL , set a drift at sea near TNT ,.
    Soon we will be sending out sugar cane to be refine in other countries like the oil and to come back at a higher price, The really know how to do business to crook the Bajans ..
    We need to take the lawyers out of government , look what shit they can come up with ,,
