Oh, Lupita Nyong’o, oh, what a beautiful and intelligent Nubian woman!
One outstandingly noticeable feature about this genuine beauty is the absence of a rug of false hair on her head. She not only looks sexually attractive but also exudes supreme self-confidence without the need to wear a rug of false hair or OPH (other people’s hair) or what Tommy Sotomayor would refer to as a “Hair Hat”.
If only many more black women can appreciate their natural beauty (especially those full lips supported by ivory rows of perfect dentition as displayed by Lupita minus the false hair) there might be some hope for the physical survival and psychological emancipation of the black and once proud race.
This young lady is a most beautiful example of our Heavenly Father’s creations in His image.

Its nice to see the Brits making a comeback in the movie business.I have seen some first class J Arthur Rank Films on local screens as well as tose filmed at Pinewood Studios.Its equally nice and appropriate to see Africans winning Oscars.I am convinced that Jews are not the chosen people but Africans are.Besides being the origin of homo sapiens,its Timbuktu University was establised long before any in Europe.Religious beliefs were copied from Africa including the monotheistic doctrine.It is recorded that the pipe organ originated in Africa.All these developments of Africa were taken by the Greeks and pushed upon the western world as being European in origin.
The chickens are coming home to roost and African art and culture is seeing the light of day in the western world

Black women run the gamut of complexions, some are dark skinned and some are café au lait (see Sudan/Ethiopia/Somalia) and some are light skinned as a result of colonial misadventures.

Dunno what all the fuss is about. The most beautiful is SWMBO – no fake hair, no venus de milo cream, plenty of malleable yummy – where is she? Oh of course……pushing up Z’s. Not always a pretty sight. Mind the girl next door aint bad either. Pity bout the fat one next the rum shop though. Obesity IS a problem isn’t it?.
Now that one got a Yoruba face – and that one clearly Igbo. Guess the one next the rum shop is Kanuri – not a happy something in the rain. OH look Miller – do you think the one next door is Istekiri? Doesn’t she carry herself well – the one at the bus stop at 7.20? She is light but slender and tall like Well Well . Dunno what it is about braids. They’ve always turned me on. Her bum is just right…Chinese, European, African….getting BIGGER and OH SO grabbable until beauty fades and bum-drop makes a statement of despair. What the insight shows by someone who came from a middleclass family and studied at Yale is the enormous psychological pressure brought to bear on anyone with dark skin, even in America the land of the free. It is a credit to her and the ability to be cognitively aware she was able to break her mental prison. This is what some of us mean when we discuss the pressure of being Black within the establishment.
yes the pressures are real within all societies especially mores so for blacks ,,,,yes blacks have to fit in both male and female as the picture of beauty portrayed in movies and magazines are still those of predominately white males and females….blacks still struggled to overcome such psychological damage but it is hard as blacks( power) have been dwarf in the decision making within these powerful institutions headed by whites who determined what is beauty and how it ‘s influence could make or break their financial empires ,

She is the truest form of Black beauty in recent times. Other Black beauties like Iman, Beverly Johnson, Dianne Carol have been insulted by being described as white women dipped in chocolate.
A truly beautiful woman does not need long flowing straight hair and light skin to make her beautiful. True beauty comes from the inside and flows outwardly and the rest follows.

I go about makeup free or sometimes with just a little lipstick on and I get men complimenting me all the time. Old and young. I thank them and go my merry way. A beautiful woman can wear a crocus bag and look like a beautiful rare flower.

Lena Horne and Eartha Kitt were Black only in the minds of people that think the “One Drop” principle is relevant.
Diahann Carrol, Dorothy Danridge and indeed Halle Berry (Best Female Actress 2004) are no more Black than they are White.
What I respect about British cinema is the abundance of very African types in their casting … very dark skinned, which has always been a problem for lighting technicians and directors, and with features that have not been Europeanised in anyway. Chiwetel Ejiofor, Quvenzhané Wallis, Idris Elba, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Phina Oruche .. absolutely brilliant. Now all that is required is for producers to start casting women with junk in the trunks and do away with this flat ass concept of woman hood when we all better.
Americans will open lead roles to Black male actors when there is to be no love interest created between the male and female characters. Invariably the Black male character would be cast as already married, retired or very subordinated.

Mind, I’m not exactly sure what “the point” is. I mean if you say “Isn’t she great and isn’t this a reminder of the beauty of black women?” I would agree. Wrap the entire thing in a carefully packaged film about slavery and you have a hit complete with rather nasty ex post facto tribal warfare. And then again – how far do we want to take ‘looks’ as something which ‘define’ us? And at what point do Miller’s “full lips” become ‘too full for words’? And to say ‘isn’t she great because she’s educated and intelligent?’ I would say was condescension to the point of being ‘too full for words’.

No ac, Lupita is beautiful not because she has ceased wearing extensions or false hair. She is beautiful outside because she is beautiful inside and does not need artificial accessories to let her beauty radiate from within. Also, she is intelligent and has tapped into her gold mine of self-confidence.

Why do black women need to wear other people’s ‘lookalike’ hair or bleach their melanin-rich skins in order to look beautiful in the eyes of the world? Such false accessories only act as comical distractions and opaque barriers to the real light of inner beauty and intelligence of the black woman.
Let us tell you upfront that white and other ethnic groups genuinely prefer to see black women with their natural god-given looks instead of trying to ape other people.

There is nothing entirely wrong with black women wearing false hair in cold climes if the intention is to keep their skulls and dark faces warm.

Of course we remember Harry Belafonte, Sidney Poitier and the like, the point is the job is never done when it is about positioning the Black race in the hierachy of races where we belong.
