If we are to judge by the results of our unscientific poll, Obama will be the winner of the USA 2008 Presidential election with over 400 electoral votes. After careful analysis we are prepared to say that Democrat Presidential hopeful Barack Obama will win with 300+ Electoral votes.

It has been an amazing campaign for several reasons. As the world watches, the United States of America seems set to catapult a man of colour into the White House. When it does happen the world maybe changed forever.

    I miss he BIMBRO, and I was saying to meh self, is whey he deh? I thought he might have opened a Cheffette in London, one that strickly sells rotis. I saw your name here yesterday and I Googled it, and something came up or somehing. I can’t believe you would leave your homeland for Martinique. They said Mrs. Tarzan had a fit and that she had them send you to New York and then the next thing you know that you in Martinque. Strange, I wonder why Martinique, I would have thought Barbados, but I guess in Barbados you would probably gone and chat with Cassandra and of course the American would hear and see . You must be lonely there, and had to learn French, girl all you tried to do was some sexual healing and the outcome is banishment, and then to add insult to injury you had to learn French.     I reserving my celebrations re: Obama till he actually do someting!! I don’t c that he’s actually, done anything yet, excep make a lot of foolish, so called, eloquent speeches half of which threaten to send me to sleep hay pun de sofa!!

    I’m not even convinced that the man’s got the actual, political-acumen for the job!!

    Fuh one ting, he suh blinking thin!! And, fuh god’s sake, tell e not to let his wife wear tight, trousers cause I doan know what she does look like!! I’m just praying to god he won’t disgrace us!!

    I can’t claim to have much confidence in him at all, at least, not at this point!

    I pray, to goodness, that he’ll prove my apprehension, wrong!!

    Tech, I watched the Hamilton race and thought it was an absolutely, brilliant drive!! However, why his opponent should have slowed-down on the last bend for no reason at all, is beyond me!! I sensed the hand of god, there, for which you’ve got to ask, is dat fair!!

    I am just wondering what effect this will have on the Israel-Palestine peace process.
    Now…do you see the things that have me concerned. He has been back and forth on this issue throughout the elections.

Vera are you in Petit Martinque or Grande Martinique. I am wondering, because Dennis just said expect showers later in the day. Vera would you have rather them have send you on the midnight train to Georgia for a more quiet life or you like Martinique. You not coming to Guyana makes me sad, we have gate guarded sections now you know and we could go down town GT shopping and having lunch at the Le Meridian. Anyway, bye and have a nice day.

    I am wondering how he maintains his figure too, thin is right 199. He is really thin in truth. He was once a fashion model in the de day, which is about two years ago, and if you have old men’s magazines you would have seen him strike the pose, dashing I say, he was in ads for Macy’s Stores, Hudson’s Goldwaters and so on. Yes,he has fashion modeling in his resume. The suite he wore for thank you speech was specially made for him by a famous American men’s wear company. I think he will pull it off, in fact I think he will be the best US president in their History. Anyway, I hope he does something with social security as I am
    close to retiring, a little something more would be nice, also I am planning to contact him regarding my homeland Guyana, maybe he can help us get a nuclear plant so that we can have proper elctricity.

    You’re entitled to your opinion, I would suggest that you start exercising now for your big jig in 4 years. i too not in a jump and wave mode, this President is going to have a rough time but it will be better than under McCain/Palin. In fact I don’t see McCain lasting four years under this pressure and Palin would have had to resign for whatever reason, since she’s the dumbest VP candidate ever. Image she thought Africa was a country; she had to be told it is a continent. Even a class one student in Barbados knows that.I don’t focus of Obama’s colour, I like his policies, the fact that he’s black is icing on the cake. For all of that he has my support and I have he succeeds with at lease half of his proposals.

    Barack appointed someone who he thinks will do the job who “has got his back”, and they go back a long way. The fact that he is Jewish is immaterial although Emmanuel will have some bias towards Israel similar to the feeling many of us had towards Barack during the campaign. I even saw some black journalists who are supposed to be impartial and including Juan Williams at FOX News who was one of his fiercest critics get emotional over his election as President.

    The argument that appointing someone of a particular background will automatically mean that they will kowtow to any one from that background is flawed and is the same one used by some to vote against Barack the argument that “Blacks will take over”.

    Barack if anything will be pragmatic and his approach to the Middle East conflict will be more even handed than former Presidents.

    BTW if the election had been held in Israel McClain would have won in a landslide.

    I understand where you are coming from and I see your point. The fact is ….the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a very delicate issue and should be dealt with in a transparent manner. IMHO….anything that shows any bias in the least way is asking for trouble as it will surely be exploited by the opposite side. In saying this…why would you want to enter into such a volatile situation with such obvious bias…how effective to the cause can you be?

But I will tell you this too I was not going to vote for a stiff old broken down white man with a dunce fool for a running mate, and if you all think racism done because of President Obama well wrong, I had a run with a jack on the beamstalk of a co-worker here on Wednessday, I just finished reading the headlines in the local paper change has come, I asked this slim jim honky a question regarding the job and he screamed at me, look I just screamed back at him in like fashion, afterall, I had just read in the headlines Change had come, after I screamed back at him he got scared. They said on the news they don’t know why President Obama picked this Jew who was in Clinton’s cabinet, that is not change, they want change. We will see

    199 this ain’t Zimbabwe, this hey, is the USA, and when our people are on the ballot I just mark X besides their name, BUT I only vote Democrat, so you better don’t be black and say you running as a republican, because yuh an getting my vote. I watch BET for entertainment and movies, like the Gospel Awards shows, Sunday gospel with Dr. Bobby Jones, in fact ah going right now to watch Bishop Jordan’s program, on BET, and on some days Pastor Matthew Shomololo (SP) I watch Oprah for talk shows, I subscribe to O magazine, I rent only black movies from the video store, just love those Tyler Perry movies, and ah only buy gospel CD’s, like Rev. James Cleveland and Southern California Community Choir, the Clark Sisters, Dr. Shirley Casesar and Vicki Wayans, just a few to mention. That is me 199.

    Obama cannot turn things around and/or make changes for better or worse by himself; neither could McCain. Regardless of who is elected, proposals have to go before the Congress for blessings — it’s not a one-man show.

    IMO, the results showed that people felt more comfy with Obama in his attempting to make changes than they did with McCain who is so temperamental that no one knows what he will consider and or do from one day to the other. Therefore, voters saw Obama as the better of the two evils.

    I was making the point that we all have biases so the fact that Barack has appointed an American citizen who is Jewish as his Chief of Staff is of no consequence. The important appointment in handling the Middle East conflict is who he appoints as his Secretary of State.

    Don’t ask me Ace about any thing Jewish, ah don’t know them, a could not tell you he is Jew if I saw him on the street. The only Jew I know is Miss Jagan in Guyana and ah have no comment on her as I an wan World War 3 to start with me. OK he is Guyanese so what is the problem. I am Guyanese so is there a problem. I had asked for his other family members I use to know in GY long time on this blog, but no one knew he was Guyanese den, so they thought I was a mad lady and ignored me on the blog. Well they had a big fete for him GT last weekend. It was nice to see him come home and enjoy himself. I hope he got to do a little GT shopping so that he could carry back somthing nice from Guyana for the Missus and family. The man come back to he Mama Guyana, nothing wrong. Obama was born in Hawaii and he will go back to Mama Hawaii I am sure. Did you all see Michelle and Barack today leaving the girls school in Chicago after parent teacher day. Well I don’t think the first lady thing set in yet with Michelle, she was just old Michelle going to her daughters school. Barack will be a good leader of the US. Look at his background, I know he will fixe the world, you could see, and that man could speak to me for hours and he would not bore me, he can speak and all of that is done from memory. I had a white lady co-wprker say to me today she was wondering what Michelle was doing. I said probably wondering how she got into this situation, because I think Michelle is a very down home lady. Vera I see you are now Anita, but I tell you Barack would never do anything to hurt Michelle, afterall, it is the Robsinson family that has given Barack a family life, you think he would want to loose that. NO NO , Vera is an internet myth. Bye Vera, watch out they might ban you again, and this time to Petit Martinque then you will know, for that banishment puts you almost in Guyana, the place you don’t want to come to.
