What is so hypocritical is just a few days ago we had the same government preaching about the importance of culture and heritage with the Holetown Festival. That was out the left side of dem mout though, cause this week dem talking out the right side about pushing down the old buildings there and selling the land to somebody for a hotel.

And before some long lip foul accuse me of not wanting progress, let me say that I fully support the sale of Heywoods to Sandals. Of course this is providing the beach access and carpark to the North is not affected.

There was that now infamous press conference on August 25, 2023 when the PM told the nation, from Larboard to Starboard, at least from the time she was a little girl, there always had those two car parks there.
Now of course she was referring to Savvy lands.
But being older than her, I know the Holetown Police Stn, and associated public use structures have been there just as long? And that I could park my car behind that area and go for a sea bath, the same way persons use Browns Beach. I did so up to my last visit in 2024.
Also recall, the PM told us, those two gentlemen, Ministers Marshall and Duguid, two of the newer sect of Senior Ministers, ‘you have a timeline on these negotiations (with Kinch of Savvy), and if they are not concluded within the next few weeks, there must be a full Ministerial statement to the Parliament’.
You heard one yet? So short of calling the PM a liar, one can definitely conclude she doesn’t keep her word. And somehow, views land on Bay St, differently from land in Holetown?
In fact, there are progressively fewer “paths’, cause that is what most are, north of of Holders Hill to access the beach.
Rather than telling the nation about this St.James property, why not talk about Paradise. That is one big ass piece of land, which got bigger when Clearwater Bay Ltd bailed out developers, and those to whom they owed money, and added lands previously owned by Esso. Tell us about the court proceedings and who owns the land. You might begin with the missing Reports for CBL, as Barbados is ‘a country of laws’ and the GoB is breaking those laws, by failing to provide Reports as required by law.
End of February and still no Auditor General Report?
    This PM laughing at wunna.

  8. Doesn’t it seem strange Mottley was able to pull Reid out of a hat in quick time to replace Caddle? After all is said and done, it is her decision to make and it is ours to ‘rule’ on it when the times present.

Mia and Marsha have clashed before. While I have no inside information, differences/disagreements don’t usually up and bite you one day. Any leader is always contemplating options.
Since her back bench options are essentially non-existent, unless one is reducing, she will have identified potential replacements.
Since these Senator Ministers are essentially unelected, private citizens, it is fair to ask if they represent the best she can find? But we all know, they are loyalists in one form or another.
None of us like unnecessary heat, especially political leaders. Wusser if you are the dominant personalities like MAM and Trump.
