If the late great Gladston Holder were alive he would take the opportunity to remind us that it does not matter who is elected to the White House, it the wealthiest families in the USA where the power is located- the Vanderbilts, Rockefellers et al. That said many will agree party colours aside, Trump’s legacy will be remembered as being one of the most bigoted and divisive.
Let it be no secret this blogmaster cannot wait to see the back of the man. He has disgraced the office of president of the USA and by extension the human race.
Discuss for 2 marks.

… and the problem is that the election is viewed as a joke by a majority of the voters of the United States of America.
Trump has not been repudiated, he has if anything been confirmed!!
It isn’t getting any easier for Sitting Bull!!!

I would therefore grant the motion to file the bill of complaint but would not grant other relief, and I express no view on any other issue.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Note the last sentence in the ruling.
Any other issue means any other live issue in the court process that may end up at the Supreme Court will not be affected by the finding that Texas has no standing in this particular instance.
The fact that there are still live issues means the plaintiffs all have standing and may end up at the the Supreme Court!!
No single court has yet ruled on the merits of any case.
Live cases mean electoral votes are in dispute.
Just need 37 or more to be in dispute to force a CONTINGENT ELECTION if my reading is right.
@John
Are you an expert on the American legal system too? All that last sentence means is that Alito and Thomas (the two most conservative members of the Court) believe that the complaint should be heard by the Court but it doesn’t mean they would grant them relief ( find in their favour).
So stop dreaming
Is there a deprogrammer around? Nothing sways these cultists…..
D-2 and counting.
How many if any electoral votes are in dispute?
Arizona?
Wisconsin?
Pennsylvania?
Michigan?
Georgia?
…. any I forgot to ask about?
Trump Scam
Nope Junior
It did not end good for Sitting Bull.
Relax, wait and watch as it unfolds.
I have no idea how it will turn out so how could you?
All I can tell you is that in all likelihood there is one hell of a fight to come.
Here’s what happened to Sitting Bull.
“Before the Battle of the Little Bighorn, Sitting Bull had a vision in which he saw many soldiers, “as thick as grasshoppers,” falling upside down into the Lakota camp, which his people took as a foreshadowing of a major victory in which many soldiers would be killed.[5] About three weeks later, the confederated Lakota tribes with the Northern Cheyenne defeated the 7th Cavalry under Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer on June 25, 1876, annihilating Custer’s battalion and seeming to bear out Sitting Bull’s prophetic vision. Sitting Bull’s leadership inspired his people to a major victory. In response, the U.S. government sent thousands more soldiers to the area, forcing many of the Lakota to surrender over the next year. Sitting Bull refused to surrender, and in May 1877, he led his band north to Wood Mountain, North-Western Territory (now Saskatchewan). He remained there until 1881, at which time he and most of his band returned to U.S. territory and surrendered to U.S. forces.”

In spite of its faults– the principal faults being its mistreatment of the indigenous people and the black enslaved people and their descendants–the greatest democracy in human history. The American people did not/do not deserve to be dying at this rate. Wouldn’t it be a wonderful thing if Donald Trump is tried for the genocide of his own people?

If the deaths at this time of the year are no different from preceding years your exercise is one in futility.
If that is the case you will realise the press is full of brain dead people and you are following their lead.
John; Re. your earlier post in which you said:
” Sarge. I recommend a regular dose of Ferrol. So far it has worked for me.”
How you know dat? Were you exposed to Covid? Were you in close contact with someone who had tested positive for Covid? Did you have an antibody test? Could you point out the scientific, peer reviewed papers which prove that Ferrol has a significant therapeutic action against Covid?
Will respond to your other posts that predict ongoing actions by Trump’sLiars later. Such actions can only succed if Biden is allowed to sweep Trump’s clear and provable heinous crimes against the US under the carpet. Biden now has an opportunity, using his VP’s strengths, to utterly crush Trumpism within the next 18 months. Failing quick and decisive action on this score, Trump will almost certainly win a 2024 bid for president.
Stupid,
Wanting to continue living because one finds it enjoyable is not the same as fearing death.
But even so, I have no problem with dying. MY YOUNG SON will have the problem. And though I have always prepared him emotionally for that, provided for him financially and otherwise in the event of my early demise, I would prefer to spare him until I am so old and tired that we will both be ready.
But you, being devoid of human sensibility, will quote me some Bible verse.
I think that the seventy-three million of the American people who voted for him deserve exactly what they are getting. They are the miscreants who wish to continue to unfair the indigenous people and mistreat the descendents of the enslaved.

Yup, way back in February 2020, in Amurica!!
Were you in close contact with someone who had tested positive for Covid?
Yup, back in February 2020 but test could have been wrong as testing back then was not worthwhile.
Lived in the same house.
Did you have an antibody test?
Nope, no testing back then worthwhile or easily available.
The tests now remain unreliable, may pick up some dead remains of viriii or may not!!
Most that I had back then was “flu” afterwards which passed.
If I caught it back then I am probably immune by now!!
I put it down to de Ferrol.
Now if I had been on Shark Oil I probably would not have even got the “flu”.
We all probably know and were in close contact with friends and family who had it back then but never knew.
Back then it would have been unusual for persons to get tested, but some did.
Herd mentality … or is it immunity!!
Don’t listen to the press.

Biden’s family is currently under investigation and has been for a while.
All roads lead to Beijing Bob!!
It is possible Biden can’t be president because he is in the pay of China, an enemy of the USA!!
Depending on if and when that happened the Democrats would have to present an alternative candidate, say Hilary, and persuade their electors to vote for her in the Electoral College whenever that is held.
Right now the cleanest solution is a CONTINGENT ELECTION.
John; re. your 9:03 and 9:20 responses;
Thanks for confessing that you don’t have a clue if Ferrol has therapeutic action against Covid or not!
Re. coming attempts by “TrumpLiars” like yourself to portray Biden’s family as a crime syndicate; They might or might not succeed. I would bet they will not. But Trump himself has committed a truckload of proven as well as provable crimes, statewide and federal. He is now even more vulnerable than before to investigation and quick conviction. Biden, however, now has the upper hand despite proactive measures recently initiated by Barr and his cohorts, but only if he allows the appropriate actions and remedies to be implemented by State and Federal agencies.
The Bard said a long time ago something like “…. There is a time in the affairs of men, which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortume. Omitted, all the voyages of their lives are bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat” Biden is at that stage now. He ignores the portents to his peril. Trumpism needs to be squashed now.
Above should be “”tide” not flood. The memory is not totally as bad as I thought.

Sorry to say you are wrong on both counts and you don’t even realise the context in which these words were spoken by Brutus to Cassius!!
There is a tide in the affairs of men when taken at the flood … not … there is a time in the affairs of men when taken at the tide!!
Do you know the difference between ebb and flood when applied to tides?
Brutus and Cassius took the flood tide against Mark Anthony and Octavian whose forces were increasing in strength.
They decided to attack at Philippi, the rest is history, like Sitting Bull at the Little Big Horn.
Bad, bad mistake.
Best that can be said is that Beijing Bob took the flood tide on the route to China and ended up a multi millionaire, he may end up like Brutus and Cassius or Sitting Bull as Trump’s forces are increasing.
He is in decline.
There is no way for Biden and the Democrats to squash Trumpism!!
It’s supporters are growing daily.
Brutus:
There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures.
Brutus and Cassius are discussing the final phase of their civil war with the forces of Octavian and Marcus Antonius. Cassius has been urging that they group their forces at Sardis and take advantage of the secure location to catch their breath. Brutus, however, advocates heading off the enemy at Philippi before Octavian can recruit more men. Brutus’s main point is that, since “the enemy increaseth every day” and “We, at the height, are ready to decline” (lines 216–217), he and Cassius must act now while the ratio of forces is most advantageous. “There’s a tide in the affairs of men,” he insists; that is, power is a force that ebbs and flows in time, and one must “go with the flow.” Waiting around only allows your power to pass its crest and begin to ebb; if the opportunity is “omitted” (missed), you’ll find yourself stranded in miserable shallows.

Yup, 2002-2007.
Replaced Dr. Nyak lecturing Control Engineering full time for the last three years.
Never knew why he resigned but he did.
I was replaced by a person from India.
University paid his and his family’s relocation expenses.
You can read about the threats made against me back then if you want.
Pretty sure you posted Stuart Heaslett’s affidavits where he described his interactions with Peter and David Simmons.
Brings back memories … I really enjoyed the mathematical content of the course
I never met Dr. Nyak or Nayak who I replaced after he resigned, but remember hearing he was pretty strict and a bit of a thorn in the side of the administration at Cave Hill.
There were some really good students at UWI, a couple went on to postgraduate studies in the UK.
But I remember maths was a bugbear for most and most of my courses had a mathematical content.
I remember challenging a class and they responded well.
Set them a thorough take home test and encouraged them to work together.
Then I sat with each one individually and went through their answers.
Every one responded well.
I realised that some were naturals at math and some were not.
One of them put me in tights and had to really think!!
Fond memories, enjoyed my time there.
Had a couple of rebels too but watched them all get through when challenged.
I remember two girls complained to the Lab Technician who used to give private lessons to students and the Lab Technician complained to me I was making it too difficult for the students.
I told him to tell the girls that the course was only 3 months and nowhere near as difficult as what they would have to go through when they eventually became mothers later on in life.
Both got through.
Still see one or two now and again.
And THEN somebody beat you over the head and made you what you are today?
@ Johnny ma boy
YOU CAN NOW FOCUS ON YOUR QUAKERS.
Last-ditch effort to throw election to Trump quashed by Supreme Court
The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday rejected a lawsuit brought by the state of Texas that sought to overturn the results of the presidential election by invalidating millions of votes in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin.
The lawsuit, which was joined by 17 states President Trump won in 2020, asked the court to allow the legislatures in the battleground states where the Trump campaign is contesting results to appoint new electors. But the court declined to take up the case, delivering what may be the death knell to Trump’s reelection fight.
In a decision issued Friday evening, the court denied the complaint for “lack of standing,” meaning Texas did not succeed in showing that it has a vested interest in the manner in which other states conduct elections.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a Republican, filed the Dec. 7 complaint against the states, which had certified Joe Biden as the winner, alleging multiple baseless claims. Those allegations — such as widespread voting irregularities and the unsubstantiated claim that Biden’s lead in those states is statistically improbable, specifically, a less than “one in quadrillion” chance — had already been the basis for numerous unsuccessful state and federal lawsuits.

As we know with COVID and most other infectious diseases, some get a mild case and others get the morgue.
Your experience means nothing. I don’t usually catch a cold or flu or anything that is going around or at least I show no symtoms no matter my proximity to the sick one. I haven’t taken Ferrol since childhood and never took shark oil. Cod liver oil was the most I ever took.
That does not mean it isn’t deadly for many others.
A hearty LOL @Lyall re ‘the bard’. it seems John Fellow was either very keen on his 5th form Lit like you or is quite handy with online Cliff notes! 😂 That was an interesting and pleasing exchange.
Now my bardy school work was not Brutus and I never read the play but just based on the quote above your interpretation appears valid:
“Biden is at that stage now” you said and I agree that he must effectively ride this cresting flood and “take the current [as] it serves [and flows]”.
Naturally, of course, floods or high tide eventually dissipate but there is solid reasoning to believe that the release of the divisive, xenophobic animus that buffeted the Trump sailboat during this flood is here to stay: the flood waters of noisy lies and excitable rhetoric wil lessen for sure but the grime and dirty markings remain.
In that regard this thing we all wrongly (I believe) easily label ‘Trumpism’ cant really be squashed.
The ism was there long before Trump, he has simply mined it better than anyone before him. Thus it’s impossible for it to “go away” unless those millions of americans who ALWAYS supported the conspiracies, abortion terrorism, dislike for Blacks or LA Hispanics in key power roles (that Cuban contingent is an entire different dynamic), minimal govt regulation, citizens owning **fully automatic/machine guns*** as a 2nd amendment guarantee etc … also must go away too.
That’s ain’t going to happen.
On the contrary as we see with the absurd election of people who support QAnon crazed views (supported by trump) we are into another phase of hard right or hard left folks being supported by more than a FRINGE of society.
All that said I completely agree with you that Pres Biden needs to manage the next year or 2 very carefully re Trump investigations etc …so too Pelosi.
It’s a delicate balance: a comprehensive transparent review of all his BS and illegal acts must be reported and appropriate action taken but we CANNOT have another four years of allegations, leaked dirty tidbits and all that crap. Just can’t give the John Fellows of our world talking points about retribution, harrassment and all that blarney.
Oh and he has to stand CLEAR of the investigation of his son… let that go where it will.
Anyhow I gone.
Do quote some ‘House of Mr Biswas’ or ‘The Spire’ or even the risque ‘Millers Tale’. 😂 Now we can look waaaay back and enjoy the words … then it was a grind to do all that reading. 😎🙈

— “The Miller’s Tale”
Absolon wiped his mouth dry. The night was as dark as pitch or coal, and at the window she put her [ass] hole. And Absolon felt no better or no worse, but with his mouth he kissed her naked ass…he was startled and thought something was amiss, for he knew very well that a woman has no beard, but he felt a thing as rough and as long haired. “Fye, alas What have I done? ” “tee! hee!” she laughed and clapped the window shut.”
Absolon is the unwanted suitor of Alison (she’s the miller’s wife who’s having an affair with Nicholas). Absolon wants Alison to give him a kiss. Instead, Alison sticks her botsy out the window and Absolon accidentally kisses it.. He only realizes his mistake when he feels her pubic hair.
“As help me God, whan that I saugh hym go/ After the beere, me thoughte he hadde a paire/ Of legges and of feet so clene and faire,/ That al myn herte I yaf unto his hoold./ He was, I trowe, a twenty wynter oold./ And I was fourty, if I shal seye sooth./ And yet I hadde alwey a coltes tooth./ Gat-tothed I was, and that bicam me weel./ I hadde the presente of Seinte Venus seel./ As help me God, I was a lusty oon/ And faire and riche and yong and wel bigon./ And trewely, as myne housbondes tolde me,/ I hadde the best “quonyam” myghte be.”
So help me God when I saw him… after the beer I thought he had a pair of legs and feet so clean and fair [he looked real-real good] that all of my heart went after him. He was 20 years old, and to tell the truth I was 40, but I always had a colt’s tooth [I always liked young men] I had a gap in my teeth which became me well [made me look good] I had the gift of St. Venus, so help me God I was [still] lustful and good looking and rich as when I was young young [and] truly as my husband told me I had the [world’s] best pvssy.

Trump Rants About Getting ‘Screwed’ By Supreme Court In Twitter Meltdown
President Donald Trump finally shared his reaction to the Supreme Court dumping the Texas lawsuit challenging the election — and it wasn’t pretty.
He ranted after midnight Friday about getting “screwed,” boasting he “got more votes than any other sitting president in history” — yet “purportedly lost” (because Joe Biden got 7 million more votes).
Trump had “intervened” on behalf of the Texas lawsuit seeking to toss all the votes in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, which happened to vote for Biden. The suit was backed by 17 other red states (“wonderful states,” the president noted in his tweet).
But the court tossed the suit Friday because Texas “lacked standing” to challenge votes in other states, it said in a brief, unsigned order.
In “a flash” the suit was “thrown out and gone, without even looking at the many reasons it was brought,” Trump angrily tweeted. “A Rigged Election, fight on!” he added.
He complained bitterly that no court has yet judged his complaints about election fraud on their “merits” — even though there is absolutely no evidence of election fraud. “It’s a “legal disgrace, an embarrassment to the USA!!!” he tweeted.
He grumbled that the Supreme Court “really let us down,” and has “no wisdom, no courage!”
Twitter marked the tweets about a rigged election “disputed.”

My man Johnny, we know that black ‘History’ is not your forte when you can persistently argue that black chattel (cattle) slavery in the Americas and West Indies was like a bed of roses for the West Africans rescued from the fate of their East African brothers and sister suffered under Islam.
But delving into 19th Century American history is clearly a bridge too far for your constrained and morally damaged intellect to ever cross over.
Sitting Bull was the victor at the same battle of Little Big Horn.
Any “bad, bad mistake’ was made by the West Point graduate Gen. John A. Custer.
“Sitting Bull” lost his life not on any battle field but to the ‘cowardly’ bullets of white supremacist spies while ‘Sitting’ as an old and weary intern on a Reservation camp.
