The decision to have a national TV debate between the candidates contesting the St. George North constituency seat has been mired in controversy from the beginning. The result is that of the six candidates registered to contest the seat made vacant by the ‘retired out’ Gline Clarke, only candidates Toni Moore (BLP), Grenville Phillips (Solutions Barbados) and Alex Mitchell (BFP) are the three left standing. The other candidates have offered excuses for not participating, the blogmaster suspects the real reason is that there is a fear to speak to the issues publicly in an independent setting.

It is ironic that the current week has seen Barbados experiencing heavy rains which must be negatively affecting house to house and platform campaigning. What an opportunity tonight’s debate offers to convey respective party messages to SGN residents while in the comfort of their homes.

  1. @WURA-War-on-U November 1, 2020 4:54 PM “…ask ambassador Liz she would know, i have seen the info myself, but am not looking for anything for you or anyone else ”

All I am asking is that you either stop telling lies or provide a link.

I don’t need liz to look for anything for me, I am still fairly capable.

If it is not on Amnesty’s site or on the site of the U.S. State Department’s site it very likely does not exist except in your over heated imagination.

  2. Who is the czar of human rights, never even knew they had one, must be a dead person, i thought when they are being paid by taxpayers they are supposed to shout out the loudest when rights are being violated, especially small children, but then again remember Minister of Hairstyles running to the beauty parlor every week, but can’t see how the San Jose Charter on the Rights of the Elderly in Latin America and the Caribbean to which Barbados is also signatory, while the elderly are being violated and have for decades and she says not a word, always coming out with some flimsy bullshit excuse that has nothing to do with what is really happening…so who is suprised that there is a human rights czar with no voice for those whose human rights are violated as a sport..

Apparently, people are pissed off enuff to make sure that the violation of those children’s rights as projected on that video by those wicked acts, are brought to the attention of the people who look into these things…..people are crying shame, but none of us except for fowls are surprised.

  3. @WURA-War-on-U November 1, 2020 4:50 PM “Cuddear…when those writing the reports start living and knowing everyone in Barbados, let me kno”

Do you live in and know everyone in Barbados?

  4. Know more than enuff…also well acquainted with the culture of secrecy that now has the island at a virtual standstill, and it has nothing to do with covid…….of which not one of those report writers will have a clue about, not in a million years….yall lucky the young people will be taking over, they are not that stupid and know things not only have to be exposed, but the status quo of self-destruction must be permanently removed.

  5. Cuddear you have her on the back foot
As usual the loose canon cannot produce the link or evidence because she has none. This is what the crazy looney does makes while statements and when challenged tells people to look for themselves blah blah blah.Waru aka Mrs Mitchell is a notorious liar and a dangerous, crazy looney.

  6. Faith Marshall Harris is supposed to be our “champion” of chiidren’s rights, I think. Cannot remember what post she holds, if any.

  7. Yet you are the nutcase can’t produce the video with children playing with sheep and running and hollering Moore, Moore, but people can see the video with Mia, Dale and Moore GROOMING THESE YOUNG VICTIMS to be miniature political yardfowls like yaself…..violating their basic human rights….the video is being shown in every country……and it’s NOT ABOUT ME…am nowhere in it..

  8. @Donna November 1, 2020 5:43 PM “The new way of thinking is that there are different types of intelligences- all being equal in importance.”

Multiple intelligences is a theory first posited by Harvard developmental psychologist Howard Gardner in 1983 that suggests human intelligence can be differentiated into eight modalities:

    visual-spatial
    verbal-linguistic
    musical-rhythmic
    logical-mathematical
    interpersonal
    intrapersonal
    naturalistic
    bodily

We would be happier, healthier and wealthier people if everyone had the opportunity to develop his or her intelligence, or intelligences. I have a visual-spatial child who was giving me driving instructions at 26 months old, BEFORE she was able to speak in full sentences. [I can get lost in a 1,000 square foot space, lol!] I wondered how she did it. I still wonder. Has gone into a profession where visual-spatial intelligence is crucial. Doing well and happy. Although a disappointment to those who see only law, medicine and engineering as truly valuable.

I would bet anything that neither old Braddie, nor Santia, nor Toni, nor any of our current MP’s can do with their body what Mr. Reifer has done with his Not one of them. None of them can do what my Little Susie does either. None.

  9. Dont; know why BUs fools believe that you must do something because another blogger who has nothing much to do today says so, on a day which is one of the best days of my life……why don’t ya help Cuddear look for the information…..idiot..

  10. Good advice, TheO. Power can be heady. It is necessary to have someone around to keep your feet on the ground when your head gets giddy. I don’t believe Mia was thinking straight. There should have been somebody to tell her it was wrong. But long have I discovered that not many want to risk it. Spineless!

  11. And if any of them could sing like Rihanna would they be collecting a virtual pittance as MP’s?

    Stupssseee!!!

  12. Cuhdear Bajan,

Thank you for posting. I borrowed the book from the library when my son was a pre-teen. Kept renewing it because it was so refreshing to see what I had always thought finally written by the experts. I have a brother who went to HC but could hardly wait to leave. He could fix anything from young. Got the fix it gene from my mother. Could drive from pre-teen years without being taught and is a boss behind the wheel of any vehicle no matter how large. Got that from our father who was driving his father’s truck at twelve. He was also an athlete but that was not his love. Passed down from our father. His daughter just finished at QC and has an athletics scholarship.

My son hates academics but was composing music from age thirteen. Got the musical gene from my father. Also was directing me from diaper days because I, like you, have no sense of direction whatsoever. I got that from my father’s mother who could get lost the moment she stepped off Broad Street.

I appreciate and value all talents. Especially those I do not have.

  13. Debate this.

“The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) has reached its capacity for in-patient admission and members of the public will experience delays at the healthcare facility.

In a media release on Sunday night, the Board of Management of the QEH says these delays will affect those seeking service through the Accident and Emergency Department (AED) – and by extension the ambulance service – as well as those who may need surgeries.

Only emergency surgeries are being performed and all elective procedures were rescheduled.

“The QEH has reached its maximum capacity as the majority of its 519 in-patient beds are currently occupied. This is due in part to the large number of persons awaiting elective surgery, and the continued provision of care to persons classified as Elderly for Care (EFC),” the release said.”

So are you implying that both the U.S. State Department and Amnesty International hire complete idiots, who sit at their desks all day and do not go out and about to see and hear, ad experience for themselves what is happening?

  15. @Donna November 1, 2020 7:48 PM “…because I, like you, have no sense of direction whatsoever. I got that from my father’s mother who could get lost the moment she stepped off Broad Street.”

Don’t laugh. But once i got lost in my bedroom. The same bedroom in which I had slept for more than 20 years. The cat came into the room in the middle of the night. I wanted to put out the cat, but could not find the door, the window nor the light switch. Admittedly it was an old fashioned wooden house with wooden windows, in the country before street lights came to the villages. I was in a void, had lost all sense of direction. I traveled a lot for my job, but nobody would ever want me flying their aeroplane, nor even driving their truck. But I found something that I was good at. We need to respect all intelligences.

  16. @Hants November 1, 2020 8:54 PM “Debate this. “The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) has reached its capacity for in-patient admission and members of the public will experience delays at the healthcare facility.”

Scary. Now and for the future. Many hospitals worldwide have backlogs of surgery because elective surgeries were postponed durng covid. Our population is aging, so more older people who are sicker longer. Generally more women in paid work, so fewer “housewives” to do the traditional unpaid care-giving work looking after elders and children. Since covid is still with us, so we need to mask-up, wash-up and keep our distance, and so must our visitor’s as we mush not further overwhelm the medical staff nor the physical facilities

  17. BSBB

  18. I have listen the first night and now tonight and he has improved on his delivery as I expected because it is a trainable task. His speech is also very effective.

  19. Two things, firstly, as I said already, this vote by parish thing is past its sell by date.

Secondly, on Reifer. He is not the problem. The problem is the large shadow of the former members of the failed DLP government, casting doubt on the future of that party.

There will be no moving forward for that party with that shadow.

  20. One Billion dollars in STOLEN VAT…written off for minority THIEVES could have and should have UPGRADED THE QEH…the enablers of thieves don’t think they will ever need to be HOSPITALIZED…ya may not have the time to take a private plane to jet out of Barbados….and in some cases, it won’t help yall anyway…

“The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) has reached its capacity for in-patient admission and members of the public will experience delays at the healthcare facility.

  21. “So are you implying that both the U.S. State Department and Amnesty International hire complete idiots”

am implying that they don’t always know what’s really going on, many times they ASK THE SAME CORRUPT LIARS FOR DATA…you know you are corrupt and will tell them the truth…really, not the trash we know on the island…that’s like another agency who put out the same data for Barbados every year, i’ve since come to learn from a diplomat mind you that they ask the SAME CRIMINALS IN THE PARLIAMENT and their imps and pimps for information…..and what happened under the Owen administration, they obstructed the agency from investigating accusations against them and then took the name of the agency and turned it into one of the their offshore accounts and was using that NAME FOR YEARS AND YEARS…..ask Mia..someone came across it by sheer accident and had to bring the information to the same agency’s attention, they didn’t even know…lol..so what the hell do you think they will ever know about what’s really happening in Barbados….UNLESS TOLD with backing evidence..

take the abuse and exploitation of the kids from St. George school for instance….UNLESS someone REPORTS DIRECTLY to the relevant agency about what Mia, Dale and Toni did, complete with video of the offending human rights violation of children…..how will the agency know and if they ask Mia, Dale and Toni what do you think they will tell them….outside of the accusations from INTERNATIONAL AGENCIES about the refusal to stop the human trafficking on the island AND THE BLACKLISTING FOR MONEY LAUNDERING ….ya will keep hearing the SAME INFORMATION from the same agencies EVERY YEAR…without any changes.

  22. …even better, they can’t even ERASE the info regarding the name of the agency they used…WHY…because it’s part of the panama/paradise ICIJ info with ALL THEIR NAMES ATTACHED with accounts…and PUBLIC INFORMATION….the agency was shocked to find how they’ve been used..

the state department and amnesty will now have to wait and find out how they are being obstructed from getting real information. and maybe HOW THEY ARE ALSO BEING USED WORLDWIDE without their knowledge by the crooks in Barbados…am sure no one shared known information with them about the SET UP ARTISTS in the parlaiment….

..do you remember the Ikobi murder, have you heard the state department or amnesty reporting on them and that happened more than a decade ago, have you heard them reporting on the DECADES OF THEFTS OF ESTATES FROM THE ELDERLY AND THEIR BENEFICIARIES….have you heard them say anything about the corruption among government ministersf and minority crooks …..that you yourself is aware of..steupsss..

and what happened under the Owen administration, they obstructed the agency from investigating accusations against them and then took the name of the agency and turned it into one of their offshore accounts and was using that NAME FOR YEARS AND YEARS…..ask Mia….until someone came across it by sheer accident on ICIJ and had to bring the information to the same agency’s attention, they didn’t even know about how their name has been misused, but they WRITE REPORTS about Barbados………😂😂🤣😂

  23. One may be aware that I am favorably disposed towards the USA. This does not mean that I blindly accept all the statistics provided by the USA.

When one looks at the various regimes set up/ propped up by the USA, it stands to reason that some facts/statistics are ignored/suppressed/manipulated by the USA.

Regime change often means supporting the devil who is favorable to the US.

The absence of a mention by the US state department does not mean absence of evidence of dastardly deeds.

  24. Theo…Cuddear knows all of that, she just had a lot of time on her hands yesterday and assumed everyone else did as well….with the useless miniature yardfowl Lorenzo using the opportunity to GRASP AT STRAWS…

people on social media are putting out a list of FAMILY NAMES IN BARBADOS TO STAY WELL AWAY FROM…lol…. toxic bloodlines they day…

“Moore, Smith, Davies, Jones, Morgan, Payne, Lloyd, Kidd, Ward, maxwell, rice,Cowell,Ward, all names to be wary off!! And many more.”

  25. toxic bloodlines they say…..stay tuned for more names of TAINTED BLOODLINES popping out…..the dog predigree brigade…lol

  26. I still didn’t watch the virgin debate, not my style, but there is certainly massive feed back on social media about the debaters…….lol

“Phillips was a real pathetic pussie,, the man was like a kid in an examination room, forgetting everything he learnt at a crucial moment,”

    🤣😂🤣😂

  27. Reifer influence in SGN was shown on wide screen at the mass meeting last night
    What influence u asked?
    Well glad u asked
    Land cover in bush disappears
    Sports centre upgraded
Next pot holes being taken care of
If that isnt influence then i dont what
Govt let all of these projects become eyesores
Until Reifer shamed govt into taking action
Wish he could do the same for bridgetown

Meanwhile the blp mass meeting stuck with utterances trying to find excuses for calling Reifer an idiot
    Go figure

  28. WURA,

Grenville has always come across as childish. Embarassingly so.

    Cuhdear Bajan,

I have had similar experiences. Very disorienting. Brain goes blank in your own house. And I can very understand the theory behind engines but when I look into one my brain gets scrambled. These things have always intrigued me. We have all the talents we need in the world. We just need to appreciate them all equally.

  29. “very well”

  30. Yep…he still got the mind of a 14 year old….that’s the result of slave school indoctrination, the young mind never gets time to develop…unless you have a powerful family foundation as a base..or a massively powerful spirit, which is much harder to find, since it was beaten out of the African in the Caribbean

this is what SELLOUT NIGGERY CAUSES….dirty corrupt politicians LYING AS USUAL….because that’s all sell out politicians know to do….kill the youth and then lie on them..

    https://youtu.be/MVn606c05VA

  31. The fact you have to outpost all other posters combined on every single blogs says a lot about you.🤣🤣

  32. As long as i EXPOSE you nasty miniature yardfowls…who cares how many blogs i post on, only fowl slaves do, keep counting, you will soon be out of a counting posts job…ticktock…both you and LORENZO THE LIAR….

  33. Hahaaaa what expose what! Stupse. First thing you’re targeting me; therefore, the wrong person is being targeted. Secondly, every few weeks you have a countdown that somehow never reaches 00:00. Thirdly, you’re a clown. Lorenzo is right–Mrs.Mitchell.🤣🤣🤣

  34. Yall are the ones wanted live debate, now it blew up on ya…looks like Alex Mitchell is LIVING RENT FREE in the empty heads of miniature yardfowls…

..ah thought ya would be asking me to PROVE or tell ya the name of the anti-corruption agency that…YALL CORRUPT BI*CHES went and used their international name to open OFFSHORE ACCOUNTS with all the names of the corrupt attached…how come ya don’t want that information….maybe it’s because yall are being OBSERVED FOR THAT CRIME TOO….and ya KNOW IT…

  35. What about the “questionable” accounts, was it 50 or 50 million or more worth of laundered money re banking transaction, may i ask if it’s also tied to the list of offshored accounts worth millions of dollars of laundered money where two people.. le pere et son fils …used the same SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER to spread accounts across the US and Caribbean region…….eh!!!!

  36. le pere et son fils …used the same SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER to spread accounts across the US and Caribbean region

ah wonder who lives next door to sintwinniefreds..

  37. @blogmaster
Have you heard anything else about the delays at QEH ? The statement seems a bit strange and no reason for the capacity issue is given. Given the low number of Covid cases on the island low low severity of these cases and I presume that this is not the reason?

There seems to be something else going on.

  38. **Given the low number of Covid cases on the island and the low severity of these cases, I presume that this is not the reason?

  39. @ Dullard

If the QEH is having capacity problems, maybe the officials will tell us what has caused this rush for beds. At the same time, they may think it necessary t publish the monthly mortality figures for 2019, and for each month this year.

  40. This govt boast about having billions in reserves
Yet sending poorrakey messages to the populace that the one hospital to treat the sick and most vulnerable people in society have no beds
    What a dam shame
Last night Wood presentation about Mottley governance was telling but expected as her actions seen since 2018 corresponds with what Woods presented
Hard not to believe what he said as truth

  41. Moving right along
This is what others are saying about pedigree and the blp

The good thing about Barbados is that this “pedigree” thing only applies to 15 to 20 % of the population. The questons is what will the 80% of Barbadians who are being degrated do with their vote? Are they willing to go backwards and continue to be considered second class citizens or are they going to pull themselves away from this prejudice Party?
It is unbelievable to hear a political party “in Barbados in 2020” talking this way about pedigree. The DLP should make this a big focus in their campaign. This is a new day and folks that pedigree card is played out. Educate the voting electorate between age 18 to 40 about the big differences in ideology of both parties and they will in turn have the conversations with their parents and grandparents. This rhetoric is not healthy for barbadians. This pedigree nonsense is so evident in the school system, the tax system, it is systemic and that too must change.

    Copied

  42. “Presently, the QEH is home to at least 30 EFCs who have been cleared for discharge but whose relatives, due to socio-economic and other factors, are unable or ill-equipped to provide the care which they require in the home environment.”

    https://www.nationnews.com/2020/11/01/qeh-runs-bed-space/

  43. @Hants and Dullard

This is a perennial issue at the QEH and has been on the increase in harsh economic times from word on the ground.

  44. @ David November 2, 2020 10:19 AM

What has become of that “new hospital” approved by the Cabinet under a previous administration?

Isn’t government supposed to be a continuum like with the approval of the Hyatt erection?

  45. @Miller

Was an new hospital approved by the last government? Let us be reasonable with discussions for crissakes.

  46. Wait…no more laughter for me, that’s what ya get for trying to connect me to someone that am in no way connected to, i don’t do yardfowl politics, it’s beneath me, i leave that for you and BUs other repulsive miniature yardfowls…

all i said was ah wonder who live next door to sintwinniefreds, if ya driving toward the school from the pine area, it’s on the right JUST BEFORE THE SCHOOL…..ah was just wondering, glad ya took the bait…stinking sprat…

  47. “This pedigree nonsense is so evident in the school system, the tax system, it is systemic and that too must change.”

they’ve destroyed the social fabric with their stinking black on black racism and dirty prejudice, relegating the Black majority whom they MUST BEG FOR VOTES to enter the parliament or they CANT EVER…. ……to 2nd class citizens………..and measuring themselves with animal pedigree…that stupid talk is straight out of the 17th and 18th century….it’s decidely backward coming from self-hating descendants of slaves polluting the parliament with their black face ignorance and arrogance….

  48. @ David,

What is the point of having a ” reasonable discussion ” when we know it will not have a reasonable result.

There are times when you have to shout.

  49. Stupse, all of a sudden we behaving like “political pedigree” is new to political speak. Wuh even Verla Depeiza-Greaves using um. Some use other types of “pedigree”, for example surname–Reifer in St.George.🤣🤣
