To return to Trump ….Today is day 1075 since President Trump’s inauguration in January 2017. According to the Washington Post, by December 16, 2019, he, Trump, had made a mere 15,413 false or misleading statements (otherwise known as lies). Some claim that he even lied about his father, Fred Trump’s place of birth.

Arguably, the Post’s figures might well have been inaccurate. We do not know and we will never know the exact number of lies Trump would have told family, friends, acquaintances, strangers, his Cabinet members individually or collectively, or even lies he might have told himself during the period. The Post’s figures might therefore have been limited to his “public” lies, and the Post’s estimate far too low.

Such has been POTUS’s achievement here – a far cry from President George Washington who allegedly never told a lie – that American social scientists have now developed a new category pertaining to lies: awarding politicians, such as Trump, “the bottomless Pinocchio”. He is clearly unable to control his lying; a medical condition sometimes known as “mythomania”.

By contrast, a pastor friend, a diehard Trump supporter and a black evangelical here in the N.E USA, like another friend and former Barbados unsuccessful political candidate in last year’s May 24, 2018 election; these see Trump, notwithstanding his “truthful hyperbole” as a great man of destiny. To be fair, the Pastor’s wife, more wise, more discerning, early intimated that as far as she could see “God is not the author of confusion”.

The die, however, has now been cast; the Mueller Report completed; the transcript made available; the Whistleblower’s report publicized; ditto the IG’s report; the respective House Committees have done their inquiries and Reports. and the House has voted its two Articles of Impeachment. The Senate reconvenes in short order.

It now remains for the Senate under Chief Justice Roberts to schedule and conduct its impeachment trial of the President, a rarity, in the context of looming Primaries and a 2020 Presidential election. Senators McConnell and Graham, prospective jurors in any impeachment trial, have said that they already decided the matter. What happens if or when Senator Schumer and the Democratic Senate minority somehow file with C.J Roberts a motion to disqualify McConnell and Graham and any other juror who has already prejudged the matter? And, witnesses such as Bolton and Mulvaney? Remember that for many Republicans Trump remains the only game in town.

It is therefore appropriate to essay some brief, if random, remarks on POTUS, his Administration, certain of its policies and his prospects at this juncture.

In using the term “pre-mortem”, I do not mean to suggest that Trump’s defeat this November is a foregone conclusion. We have been here before with disastrous consequences, as former Secretary of State Clinton belatedly discovered. In a sense, he must harp on the economy. and his apparent “success” …. the economy stupid”?

Yet, there is an inescapable law of diminishing returns. Just ask any older man. (Even King David, 1 Kings 1, when he was old and cold). This law, it seems, applies in almost every sphere, including politics.

Consider a politician, a man not unlike Trumpf who thinks one way. He then speaks a second way. He then acts a third way. He trifles, obfuscates, deflects, dissembles, even lies. Bullshit and trivia persist as standard, daily political fare. His public, usually fickle, often misinformed, uninformed or even dis-informed. But, as Lincoln remarked, you can trick them some of the time, but not all of them all of the time.

As reasonable people, we must therefore resist the idea of The Idiot Posing as Intellect, or some Trump (The Tramp-in-Chief), a renegade bolshevik businessman and Putin stooge masquerading and declaring himself (soi-disant) a man of high IQ and “a very stable” geni-ass. (Cf. his late Wharton School Professor, William T. Kelley, a nonagenarian, who described him as “the dumbest goddam student” he, Professor Kelley, ever had in more than 40 years teaching at Wharton; Kissinger’s reference to him as not having “a very orderly mind”; or Tillerson’s description of him – unretracted – as a “moron”; his former lawyer, Attorney Cohen’s testimony that he pressured Fordham and Wharton not to release Trump’s academic transcripts; his absence from the Dean’s list at Wharton despite his boast that he had graduated “top of his class” at Wharton; all in the context wherein he (Trump) demanded to see President Obama’s transcripts and academic materials). Truly, a man of seemingly impregnable, untouchable ignorance, with legions of rats of all varieties scurrying around upstairs.

Perhaps, Republican Senator Romney, when he was thinking more clearly, had Trump’s measure, when he counseled Trump against releasing his tax returns, and then subsequently described him as a “fraud” and a “conman”. Thus, by way of example, Trump has always proclaimed his love for the military. Yet, beyond his serial draft dodging, and whatever his personal demons, the only war he (Trump) seems ever to have fought may well have been limited to some gilded boudoir with relatively expensive “toys” such as “Stormy” Daniels and Karen McDougal, going rate between US $125K and $150K.

No one can say that he (Trump) had been in the US Air Force; then exiled himself to Canada, Sweden, Denmark, the U.K., or elsewhere, rather than kill so-called “gooks” in the “swamps” and muddy/paddy fields of Vietnam. He made the great escape. He now poses as a “chicken hawk”, like many another draft dodger.

The Reader might still note that in terms of re-election strategy, it is still open to Trump and his advisers to start a war, if necessary, and before the elections, if this will gee up his domestic support. E.g in the case of Iran. Many a red blooded American would then rally to “the cause”, with typical shouts of “USA” “USA”. The problem will be one of graduated response and escalation? In response, the Ayatollahs and the Iranian National Guard may have to decide on the feasibility of shutting down the Gulf – following up on their attack on Saudi oil infrastructure some time ago. Beyond profiteering by armaments manufacturers, the military-industrial complex, billionaire investors, what would be the implications for the world economy, OECD and LDC countries and the least developed countries?

As to the issue of race, Trump’s re-election strategy, the Black, Latino and minority vote.

Fortunately, many no longer deny the fact that POTUS is a racist. For too long, the naive denied this fact, despite the overwhelming evidence, (his spawning of birtherism, his notorious ads about the Central Park Five after their sentences had been vacated and all criminal charges against them withdrawn; the EEOC housing discrimination complaints against him – I would not be surprised if there was not at least one Barbadian family allegedly victim of his housing discrimination; his abuse of African countries and Haiti as “s—hole” countries; his attacks on the inner city as “rat and rodent infested”; his own admission that he is a “white nationalist”).

As to his palpable disdain for Mexicans, rumor once did percolate that his daughter, Tiffany, had dated a wealthy Mexican young man while at Wharton. Imagine some Mexican with his grubby paw on his beautiful, pristine, blonde, blue-eyed daughter! Enough to make a “nationalist” nauseous! Who knows the source(s) of his animus against Mexico and Mexicans?

To my mind, to deny that President Trump is a good old fashioned racist largely surrounded by white supremacist advisers, such as Stephen Miller, is like witnessing a man in a bank, pointing his gun at employees and customers on the bank’s floor, and denying that the gunman was a bank robber. What stupid poppy cock!

Yet, Trump can still make inroads into the Black Vote (with “Blacks For Trump” and some of his allies). What if Trump and his advisers, including Secretary Carson, following the reparations advocates decide to expend some political capital and give black families some sort of money (not “40 acres and a mule”, far less will do), or even Yang’s “Freedom Dividend”? Many a hungry belly black may well be seduced by such an obvious political ploy and vote for Trump.

As to his foreign policy, unlike the Kennedy Doctrine, the Johnson Doctrine, the Nixon Doctrine, and others, the Trump doctrine seems at best a series of ad hoc, incoherent, non-sequential non-points, never going beyond slogans such as “MAGA” and “America First”, reflecting Trump’s typical, torrential nonsensical tweets.

Several decades ago, the British Yearbook of International Law kindly published an article that I had written on some aspects of trade in the natural resources of Namibia (1990?). The French Revue des Revues subsequently dismissed the article in two words “tres interessante”. However, we all got it wrong. There was/is no such country as Namibia, per Trump in one of his recent addresses to the UNGA, He should be forgiven for not knowing the name of such a namby pamby “s–hole” country. And, thank God for small mercies insofar as he did not confuse Namibia with NAMBLA.

Imagine, also, that iyou were an immigrant, a green card holder, and a veteran who had been deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan or Syria. You return “home” to the USA. You find yourself in conflict with the law, felony or misdemeanor. You are convicted in a court of law. You are then deported to Mexico courtesy of a Commander-in-Chief who never served. (ICE officials who might never have served either). And, there are several hundreds such deported veterans in limbo in Mexico, a country they would have left in their very early childhood when their parents brought them to the US as minor children.

We need not speak of the moral obloquy involved in Trump’s policy of separating immigrant children from their parents and caging them, with resulting psychological problems.

In the final analysis, in Trump, we have a man singularly classless, embarrassingly clueless, uninformed and unfathomably uncouth. Bristling with hubris, fire and brimstone, he is more the common man’s” Lord Haw Haw”. But, give him credit. He has normalized the abnormal…He has successfully weaponized unspeakable, mass ignorance and intellectual dishonesty in the U.S. No wonder he says he loves “the poorly educated”). He has so consolidated his leadership of the Republican Party, and might yet demoralize his divided 2020 democratic opposition, all with untold implications.

Caveat: As I have said, always beware of any politician who promises that he will end corruption and “drain the swamp”. Experience teaches that he merely brings in his own new, personal swamp, a la Trump.

A second term, however, is no picnic. Just as Nixon defeated George McGovern overwhelmingly and was then driven from Office, early in his second term; just as Bill Clinton’s Presidency was almost derailed early in his second term by the Lewinsky affair, so too Trump’s chickens may come home to roost before any second term or early in his second term if he should win. Few, if any, at any rate, can indefinitely survive a thousand cuts.

Your scatter gun approach to the demise, or not, of the nation state totally misunderstands the argument. Let us take Brexit, as it is one of the most recent claims and comes to an end (or beings) on Friday at 11.30pm.
The original argument was to take back control; but our sovereignty is now under pressure from the US, Australia and others over the preferred choice of our 5G provider.
The British nation wants Huawei and the US, in its battle with China, DOES NOT, under threat of withdraw any security cooperation. That decision will be made on Tuesday. Thy have also threatened that if the UK was to go ahead, any subsequent trade agreement will include tariffs in compensation for the use of Huawei.
Or take the muzzled row between the UK and US at Davos a few days ago over the threat from the UK to impose a 2 per cent tax on the trans-national digital firms operating out of the UK. The US in retaliation has threatened to impose tariffs on UK/EU cars and other products if the UK was to go ahead.
The new colonialism has nothing to do with navies and planting flags; the biggest and most dangerous form of colonialism in modern society is data colonialism, and what is the underlying real war between the US and China. It is the US taking up the fight on behalf of Silicon Valley and China on behalf of its more advanced artificial intelligence providers. The Chines aware winning the war and the US are playing catch-up.
There are numerous other examples of sovereignty being compromised by the repressive US most of all, but by powerful nations, such as the Iran deal and the Paris climate change agreement, both of which Trump walked out on with out consultation; then, in terms of the Iran deal, when the Europeans stitched up an alternative deal the US threatened that any firms doing business with Iran will be black-listed from the US global money system. That is black mail. Look at the US/Turkey and the Kurds; the recent bombing of Iraq, all of which have been done without consultation and no come back on the US. Trump even arrogantly threated to send in NATO in Iraq.
There are 100000 US troops in various parts of Asia, encircling China because China is the only major nation that would not play ball with the US, that is the US China strategy.
Last year, in a speech to the Hudson Institute, Mike Pompeo said the Chinese were focussed on international domination. His recent summit with some CARICOM nations was just a veiled threat in this strategy, of which Venezuela is but a tiny part. Re-read the Monroe Doctrine.
In the 1960s, 70s and 80s, everything that is being said about China was said about Japan; look at the allegation that the Chinese are stealing Western intellectual property rights. The Chinese set up a court in 2015 to hear such cases, so far their have been 63 applications, all won by Western nations. That is some theft. Or look at the over 450 tariffs the US has imposed on ‘friendly’ nations, way more than any other nation, yet all these countries are expected to allow in US exports.
We can also talk about the World Trade Organisation appeal court, which the US has just undermined; its refusal to take part in the International Criminal Court, I can go on and bore readers.
By the death of the nation-state I mean, in conventional political history, the death of the Westphalia model of the nation-state. It is dead.

Wait a cotton picking minute…oh dear that’s a racist tinged epithet … so excuse me..

But I wanted to be provocative like @Archer…

@Theo, @Artax and @Pilgrim not only is the man doing something on the side but he LIED vehemently about it.

He is the VICTIM… what nonsense is this .

This is the SAME playa who took his wife and mistress to Aspen at the SAME TIME on holiday.. And someone has the temerity (de incredible balls) to see him as a victim in a ‘threesome’ exposé!

I am also perplexed to be told that politicians’ illegal political finance violations caused by sexcapades are no longer prosecuted or relevant.

It’s Sunday otherwise I would ask WT*!

Wasn’t Sen John Edwards indicted for multiple violations of campaign contribution laws; wasn’t that due to an extramarital affair conniption and money from his campaign!

But since 2016 A.D.T the new, new testament of political life starts anew! SMH.

And @David Blogmaster, you should really ban @John😂… any outstanding HC student who writes so much tripe should get banned for a breach of commonsense.

Does anyone really believe the nonsense of being a germaphobe and the folly of it getting in the way of him getting a lil something from beautiful women.😂

This scholar told us y’day that he can speed read well but apparently he can’t speed read, digest and recount facts, well. Oh lordie.

This same germ-scared man had no compunctions picking up bablicious ladies in clubs (by HIS OWN accounts); or having multiple sexual trysts with another woman while still going home to his wife ; or feeling up willing attractive women.

The facts of Life dear @John are quite simple: handsome, white boys who drive (drove) a lamborghini, a ferraris and RR Phantom or whatever they were get lots of ‘germs’ on their car seats before and after and even just for kicks during involvment “with random [lovely] women”.

You really need to stop mekking sport as you do. You border on lunacy😎😂!

  3. We see on display here an overwhelming prejudice against Trump.

The women — who (a) violated Trump’s privacy, (b) blackmailed him for cash, (c) breached their nondisclosure agreements with him even after enriching themselves with his money, (d) committed slander against him in foreign countries while accepting a salary to work on behalf of his administration, (e) blocked his legitimate efforts to investigate the red flags of corruption in the previous administration, etc. — these women are not only forgiven for their sins and crimes. They are lionized as heroines, and congratulated for their courage and outstanding service to the United States.

This hatred of Trump among West Indians — for trying to block or deport illegal aliens who have no business in the United States, and for being a “racist” (although his accusers are more effective than the Ku Klux Klan in destroying black leaders and killing job opportunities for the black working class) — is totally irrational and counterproductive.

As for corruption, Joe Biden’s blatant influence peddling, which enriched his brother and his sons, makes the Trump family look like Boy Scouts.

For God’s sake, gentlemen, be fair and reasonable. Stop following the herd.

  4. MR ARCHER
RE We see on display here an overwhelming prejudice against Trump.
A BLIND MAN CAN SEE THAT
IT WAS LIKE THAT PRIOR TO THE ELECTION AND IT CONTINUES UP TO THIS DAY

BUT IT DIDNT STOP HIM FROM WINNING THE ELECTION IN 2016
IT HAS NOT STOPPED HIM FROM PERFORMING CREDIBLY
AND IT WONT STOP HIM FROM BEING AQUITED THIS WEEK OR FROM WINNING THE ELECTION IN NOVEMBER

RE For God’s sake, gentlemen, be fair and reasonable. Stop following the herd.

THAT IS THE NORM ON BU, YOU HAVE TO IGNORE IT AND STAND UP, AND RUN THEM RAGGED BY POINTING OUT HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS AGAINST THE ODDS

  5. @ Hal A:

Sorry. Your rambling response shows that you obviously do not quite understand the concepts of national sovereignty (a legal concept), popular sovereignty, nationalism, nationality, and the nation state.

Let me try the Piece The Legend (PTL) approach. Can you name a single nation state that has given up/relinquished its sovereign nation state status/existence wothin the last century? Even when Ghana, Guinea and Mali sought to unify, under Nkrumah, Toure et al, their federation? collapsed.

I rather fear that you have misunderstood the issue of the nation state, like some old jockey riding an old nag in the wrong lane in the wrong race. Try and abandon such arguments, unsupported by history, logic and common sense, uncommon as the latter is,

  6. @ Caleb

I am afraid you are right. Let us bring the discussion to an end.

By Andrew Blake – The Washington Times – Wednesday, January 22, 2020

President Trump complained Wednesday that neither Sean Hannity nor Rush Limbaugh has won a Pulitzer Prize — and reasoned that each is more worthy than recent recipients.

Mr. Trump commended the conservative media personalities and staunch supporters of his presidency during a news conference held at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

“People got Pulitzer Prizes for their coverage of me, and it turned out they were totally wrong,” Mr. Trump told reporters.

Re Trump, “Stormy” and other whores, birds of a feather flock together, no?

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

So what does Stormy say about the affair between herself and Trump?

She denies ever having an affair with Trump!!!

    Could this be true????

“Daniels had been paid $130,000 for signing a nondisclosure agreement about an affair she had with Trump in 2006. Later, Daniels signed a statement witnessed by her lawyer and her publicist denying that she had ever had an affair with Trump.[1]”

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stormy_Daniels–Donald_Trump_scandal

No affair is consistent with Trump being a germaphobe.

  13. How can this be?

There is a whole herd who believes the opposite of what the lady says and have been “hoisted on their own petards”!!!!

I thought we were constrained to believe whatever a woman says!!

  14. @ John:

I would normally pass by on the other side since you made that voodoo observation that Trump represented the proletariat. (Strike that, Harvard and other reputable? institutions have undertaken research into Haitian voodoo. To claim that Trump represents the Proletariat would be to insult any reputable voodoo priest or priestess).

More to the point, Trump is only saved by his whiteness and his money. If R. Sylvester Kelly, a great musician, is in jail for sexual assault(s) and at age 52 or 53, if convicted, will probably spend the rest of his life in prison, why not Trump?

  15. A germaphobe by definition can’t commit sexual assault!!!

Incidentally, germaphobe does not indicate a phobia of Germans!!

I am here wondering if the correct noun to describe the collective is herd.

Troupe seems to be so much more apt.

  16. de pedantic Dribbler Avatar

@Pilgrim,come on … Don’t fall into that same trap as @Archer.

Trump is a nasty piece of work yes, (vindictive and dangerously narcissistic and arrogant principally) but he can’t be compared to R. Kelly or Cosby or Weinstein.

The sexual issues of which Trump has been accused like forcibly kissing or trying to kiss a lady in the elevator or making lewd remarks towards his Miss Universe contestants are comparatively minor offenses.

He would not see a day in jail far less ever get a prosecutor to take that to a court… any wealthy person (Black or White) would rubbish that ‘he said- she said’ with a good lawyer.

Why would a dashing Cosby or Kelly NEED to do the things of which they were accused unless they were basically predators who got a ‘high’ from that power position.

(Weinstein was less appealing than the brothers so I can better understand why his power play developed)

So surely pre-POTUS this man may have had a similar mind-set re his absolute primacy over females and saw many as useful toys to be used and then put aside but he can’t be equated to those guys who went above and beyond to illegally validate that power and supremacy over women.

  17. @ DPD:

    Upon further reflection, I agree.

  18. Bolton’s upcoming book – draft – indicates that Congressionally approved aid to Ukraine would be withheld until Ukraine investigated Biden(s).

Essentially, Bolton, former National Security Advisor, says that Trump (unlawfully) tied Ukraine aid to the inquiries he sought.

    See: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/26/us/politics/trump-bolton-book-ukraine.html

  19. Within 10 years of Trump leaving the Presidency (that’s assuming he leaves willingly) he will be the most reviled American President ever. Among Republicans, Nixon or Senator Joseph McCarthy won’t be able to hold a candle to him that’s when the information on his dalliances with Russia; his corruptible use of his office; his fostering of white supremacy; his abuse of the diplomatic corp.; his evisceration of the security apparatus; his belittlement of USA’s traditional allies and his general abuse of power will begin to see the light of day. The withholding of aid to Ukraine will be a walk in the Park compared to his appointment to the judiciary of judges who are ignorant of the law but whose rulings could change the course of American jurisprudence for generations.

Trump owes his success in large part to the spineless Republicans in the Senate who are afraid to oppose him on any matter for fear of being “primaried”. When McCain famously gave his “thumbs down” on the bill to repeal the ACA Trump took to twitter to tear a strip off McConnell for being unable to control his caucus and they have observed the intimidation and fallen into line, since then McConnell has been a subservient lap dog for Trump “I am cooperating with the White House on impeachment”.

Bolton is ready to cash in with his “tell all” the avalanche is pending.

  20. Excuse me, but at no time have I connected Cosby and Trump directly or compared their behaviour.

Cosby entered the conversation because he is one of the prominent black men lynched by white feminists and their allies in the law enforcement community. These white feminists are an important group in the leadership of the Democrats, who inexplicably control nearly all of the black vote.

So I was merely expressing my conviction that black men like Caleb should be voting their interests by voting for Trump — instead of supporting their Democrat oppressors in the Sisterhood.

  21. The sexual issues of which Trump has been accused like forcibly kissing or trying to kiss a lady in the elevator or making lewd remarks towards his Miss Universe contestants are comparatively minor offenses.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Germaphobia eliminates the kissing charge.

Just left with the lewd remarks to Miss Universe.

What is the sexual issue with those?

  22. Sargeant is peddling the familiar talking points of the anti-Trump mainstream media.

Trump has not eviscerated the security apparatus or abused the diplomatic corps. He has rebuked disloyal or rebellious holdovers from the Obama administration. These government employees are suppised to be working for Trump, because the presidency is in charge of foreign relations and military/intelligence agencies, but many are not.

Many US allies, like Germany and Canada, have been freeloading off the US. The White House has criticized their failure to pay their way in the Western Alliance. That is a reasonable position to take, and it is insulting to the United States to say that Trump is belittling America’s friends.

    de pedantic Dribbler

@Sargeant all i said at 9:03PM is likely to come to fruition but what u didn’t touch on is where that will leave the Republicans as a party.

I understand how the electorate are following this demagogue but I am less clear on how senators can so self servingly marry their short term political life to the major issues this man will create.

We get into these mindless arguments of not liking Trump and being prejudiced against him but that badly misses the plot .

Most of us don’t dislike Trump because of his ideology as a republican but rather because of his character as a narcissistic, self absorbed, dictatorial danger.

This man is no different to a Stalin, Peron, Chavez or a Putin. These were all DANGEROUS men because of their persona that they alone should be in control.

Yes of course he CANNOT serve beyond 8 years but the absolute thrashing of the rule of law which he will complete if not removed will be the bane of life in Us.

That’s why Trump is anathema to most of us… he is very, very dangerous to democracy.

The reason the senators were so UPSET about that ‘head on a pike’ remark is because it’s absolutely TRUE.

NOT ONE Senator who has stood and challenged this man on basic principles of democratic governance are around today… or are re-signing.

Why can’t sensible people distinguish between fearing a meglomaniacal leader and normal disagreement to policies…. or even, filling the courts with like-minded judges… All Republican presidents do that as all Democratic ones do as well: to the winner the spoils.

… but labelling a US ambassador a bad person before a foreign president; telling Russian officials he got rid of his top cop because he was investigating them!

    And that is NORMAL…

That is beyond crazy… If a democratic president had done any of this I would be lighting up these pages the SAME (worst as I would be more upset)…

So it really is painful to read these continuous backasswards remarks about NOT LIKING this man.

Dictators of any stripe are bad news!

  25. This man is no different to a Stalin, Peron, Chavez or a Putin.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

These are leftist, Trump is right or right of centre.

    Huge difference!!

True the four of them claim to have represented the proletariat/working class which of course Trump actually does!!

That’s the extent of the similarity!!

  26. The “head on a pike” is troubling to the Republicans because it is true and they know it. Prior to any vote when Trump thinks that some of them may stray from the flock the WH reminds them that Trump is watching and like recalcitrant children submitting to a stern headmaster they toe the line.

Remember when Elijah Cummins stood up for his “friend” Mark Meadows when he was accused of being a racist and Cummins vouched for him and said he wasn’t racist? When Trump attacked Baltimore and Cummins personally Meadows was silent, he didn’t come to Cummins defense or utter a word to protect Cummins for fear of drawing Trump’s ire, even Tim Scott who served with Cummins in Congress couldn’t be moved to give Trump a mild rebuke. BTW ever notice that when Trump has a major announcement and members of Congess/Senate are present Scott is always placed near to him camera range. I wonder if Trump has a lawn jockey at Mara Lago

  28. @John January 26, 2020 10:02 AM “Germs inhabit many furry creatures.”

All furry creatures start out being virginal, so unless the lady is a lesbian, if there are germs in or around her furry bits they could only have been ut there by a man, not so?

  29. Silly Woman

And men start out virginal, so if there are germs in their eruptions, they likely came from a woman, no?

  30. The “head on a pike” threat is a lie, fabricated by mainstream media and publicly denied by all Republican senators, including anti-Trump senators.

There is really no way to stop the dirty tricks of the anti-Trump legions.

Now, the leak of Bolton’s claim — that Trump planned to withhold aid to Ukraine specifically to smear Joe Biden — will likely prolong the impeachment trial with witnesses.

The Democrats are as evil as they are relentless.

I usually wait until I see your contributions before reading BU’s Donald Trump articles, because your explanations of the issues bring a level of fairness, balance and most importantly, SANITY, to the “discussion.”

It appears as though Trump is a “cult” and his followers be(LIE)ve everything he says. A Jim Jones reincarnate, perhaps?

Anyhow, on January 26, 2020, 4:52 PM, John posted an article to BU, from “The Daily Beast,” dated January 30, 2018 and entitled “Stormy Daniels Totally Denies Affair With Donald Trump in New Statement.

The article mentioned Daniels issued a statement denying she and Trump had an affair.

Ironically, the announcement came as Trump was speaking to the joint houses of Congress, in his first State of the Union speech, (coincidence?????)………… but shortly before Daniels was to appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

The name “The Daily Beast” aroused my curiosity, so I decided to “investigate” a bit further, before accepting the denial statement as fact. I was also amazed John and a few others in this forum, who seem to be intelligent people, (unlike me who has been described as being “appallingly ignorant),” are quick to believe everything people post on social media and other websites sites…….. and post it to BU as TRUTH, without at first verifying the authenticity of the information or credibility of the source.

As I read the contributions that followed, I noticed John mentioned “No affair is consistent with Trump being a germaphobe,” and “A germaphobe by definition can’t commit sexual assault!!!”

But, is it a FACT Trump suffers from what has been described by psychologists as a “pathological fear of germs?” From all reports, even the credible “Fact Check,” he seems to be suffering from a “pathological fear of the TRUTH.” Surely if he could “make up” a fake injury to avoid military service, I believe he’s capable of saying he suffers from germophobia.

In his January 27, 2020, 12:27 AM contribution, Ewart Archer wrote: “There is really no way to stop the dirty tricks of the anti-Trump legions.” I found that comment interesting, because we could likewise “say,” “there is really no way to stop the dirty tricks of the pro-Trump legions.”

And this brings me back to my main issue, John’s comment about Daniels denying the affair with Trump. The following is a video of Jimmy Kimmel’s interview of Daniels.

I suggest you should pay special attention to the SIGNATURES.

Perhaps, Archer or John will “tell us” the video “is a lie, fabricated by mainstream media….”

  32. All major candidates for the US presidency are extreme narcissists — self-absorbed, arrogant, and largely unconcerned about their own shortcomings.

Only narcissists have the self-assurance and the force of personality to prevail in the campaign marathon that is required for election.

Trump, Biden, Warren, Klobuchar and the rest all have gigantic egos. The main difference between Trump and the others is that Trump is an unorthodox practitioner who does not bother to conceal his egocentricity. The others regard concealment as the hallmark of a professional politician.

Political observers therefore betray their own inadequacy when they accuse Trump of being uniquely grandiose, overbearing and dictatorial. They are failing to see through the veils of deception that protect more conventional politicians.

@John January 26, 2020 10:02 AM “Germs inhabit many furry creatures.”
All furry creatures start out being virginal, so unless the lady is a lesbian, if there are germs in or around her furry bits they could only have been ut there by a man, not so?

    ++++++++++++++++++

All that matters is they are there and a germaphobe will stay away!!

… whether it is put on a plate with peas and rice or not!!

    Simple common sense.

  34. Stormy is a very unbelievable woman, both physically and in her utterances!!

The germaphobe argument takes care of that.

@Artax, thanks for the “sanity” remarks but with all things Trump it seems as if insanity rules the day.

You zeroed in on @John’s nonsense remarks and too @Archer’s and those are good examples of that insanity.

Both gentlemen come from a background of expected rigorous validation of their assertions and yet daily write some of the most incredulous, insanely, half baked posts that belie reason.

In simple terms an insane situation.

I believe @John is mekking sport daily as no one can be that absurd and be serious.

With @Archer he is, I can only imagine, being provocative for it’s sake.

How else can one describe an intelligent man analysing the last 3 years and having the temerity to say as you highlighted: “There is really no way to stop the dirty tricks of the anti-Trump legions.”

Your riposte nailed his absurdity: “I found that comment interesting, because we could likewise “say,” “there is really no way to stop the dirty tricks of the pro-Trump legions.”

You could have called it “the alternative facts” to give the title those legions created for themselves.

Add to that the self serving dirty tricks assault he laid on Dems for a purposeful, deliberate and legacy-saving act by Republican Bolton when he said: “Now, the leak of Bolton’s claim — that Trump planned to withhold aid to Ukraine specifically to smear Joe Biden — will likely prolong the impeachment trial with witnesses[…] The Democrats are as evil as they are relentless.”

On an 1-10 absurd mete that is a freaking 100… it is that nonsensical.

So as much as we aim for rationale debate ALL things POTUS are grounded in insanity from those who support him… That’s NOT to say every policy is absurd …NO,NO,NO… But how his supporters defend the indefensible is INSANITY!

Please do keep nailing some reason into these absurdists ….
because when you get labelled “appallingly ignorant” that’s just dirty tricks noise. You are in fact appallingly detailed, factual, reasoned and unbiased…. So continue that ‘appalling’ behaviour!

  37. BACK TO REALITY OF CLARIFYING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRUTH AND FICTION…RE Hal Austin January 26, 2020 11:37 AM THE 5G ISSUE & OTHERS

The issue was one of Security not of Technological Dominance as all of the information carried by the Chinese 5G Technology will report to the CCP the Chinese Communist Party. The same people who have over a Million Muslim People in Concentration Camps. This information that is being reported back will Infect Every Intelligence Agency, Every Secret Military Instillation, Every Document that is Archived or Recorded not to mention Every Persons Information and their Meta Data.

You believe the Chinese Communist Party have good Intentions but their Intention is PHYSICAL WORLD DOMINANCE. Any Country using the Chinese 5G will Compromise their Security. You want a better example look at Tic Toc.

If you read carefully, Silicon Valley is Kind of Anti American they are more in line with the Chinese Vision of CONTROL OVER THE POPULATION and they have worked with the Chinese to create their Social Scores furthering Chinese yoke on its people. That people with Low Scores (you don’t agree with everything the communist party does) can’t even catch a Train.

As for the walking out on the Iran Deal, Trump did it LEGALLY by giving the correct amount of Notice to Exit the Deal. A deal, which had NO INDEPENDENT NUCLEAR SITE VERIFICATION’S OR NUCLEAR SITE INSPECTIONS?

The Climate Agreement is another Bo-dangle Imagined by the Globalist to Tax the People of the world so that they can get money while keeping them in Servitude. During the Medieval Warm Period all over the world countries flourished as the Growing seasons were extended and it is cooler now than it was then and the Agreement that Trump pulled out of, was Penalizing Three Hundred Million People in America far more in Excess than the other Seven Billion People in the world. AT LEAST TRUMP ACTS IN THE INTEREST OF HIS COUNTRY WE CAN’T SAY THAT OF ALL THE OTHER LEADERS IN THE WORLD WHO HAVE BEEN COMPROMISED.

Hal, why did you not mention the Bombing by Iran into Iraq? Leftist always wants a Group Decision where their Picked Leaders make the decisions. Imagine if Trump shared with Schifty Schifft the head of the Intelligence Committee in Congress of his Decision. HOW DO YOU THINK THAT WOULD HAVE TURNED OUT THE MAN LEAKS LIKE A SIEVE?

RE “There are 100.000 US troops in various parts of Asia, encircling China because China is the only major nation that would not play ball with the US, that is the US China strategy.”

Freedom does not know the exact number of American troops even if they were 100,000 that you claimed WHAT PLANET ARE YOU LIVING ON, THEY ARE 6 MILLION ARMED CHINESE MILITARY! China has not yet proven itself an Invading Power they have Military Ambitions but they use Covert Means such as the One Belt One Road OBOR IMITATIVE to Entrap Countries into giving up their Mineral Wealth, Material Resources and Strategic Locations. If you Deny it ask some of the Countries in Africa and Venezuela.

Hal you are telling Fibs Big Fibs. The Tariffs to Japan and South Korea was a response to their Protectionist Policies at the same time having Free Access to the American Market. The same goes for all the other countries…Getting Free Access to America while Restricting American Imports. Any Sensible person would have done this long ago having Fair and Reciprocal Trade but acting Correctly. To use a Bajan term “it’s stuck in your Craw”, meaning you can’t acknowledge it is correct or the right way to go.

  40. I believe @John is mekking sport daily as no one can be that absurd and be serious.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Here is the serious point.

Everything on the fake media is fake!!!

“The Daily Beast”, I mean, come on!!

Stormy, the Russian Hoax, the Ukraine rubbish, all are fake, just more plans from ACME!!.

Stormy was not there because of the sexual content, it was all about the $130K which was supposed to be an illegal campaign contribution or misuse of funds which bombed.

So what is real at the moment?

Stormy lost in court and has to pay Trump $300K.

Avenatti her lawyer who created the fraud is headed for jail!!

Tomorrow night in Democratic New Jersey Trump is due to have a rally which has attracted 100,000 ticket requests to fill the 7,400 capacity.

Van Drew, a former Democrat congressman has become a Republican over the fake impeachment.

The best candidate the Democrats have in the primaries (my opinion) is Tulsi Gabbard who did not vote in the House for the impeachment.

The economy is for the moment roaring!!

    That is the reality.

  41. The Stormy “affair” only strengthened Trump because Stormy is a “working” girl!!

Whether true or not, it told his working class voters Trump is one of us.

The Democrats goal to exploit the misuse of campaign funds bombed and Trump even benefitted from that.

The argument used to blow that up was Trump used his personal funds to maintain his marital bliss!!!

Again, a completely working class motive, concern over his safety in the home!!

Tiger Woods should have done that and escaped the old golf club treatment.

Lots of golf clubs around Mar A Lago!!

Stormy actually helped Trump to identify with his working class/proletariat voters!!

    So he just got stronger.

  42. So why is Cohen in Jail?

Was it about the Stormy “affair”?

    He saw after the payments.

Nope, it turns out it has nothing to do with Stormy.

“In November 2018, Cohen entered a second guilty plea for lying to a Senate committee about efforts to build a Trump Tower in Moscow. In December 2018, he was sentenced to three years in federal prison and ordered to pay a $50,000 fine.”

… and Mueller discounted the Russian collusion hoax.

So while Mueller was investigating a supposed collusion with Russia on the part of Trump which he ultimately found not to exist, Cohen became a casualty of what is called a process crime.

    What do Trump’s voters see.

An unconscionable effort by the Democrats to get their champion which has once more bombed out.

Is there any wonder Trump just gets stronger and stronger?

@John, you continue to display the ‘mekking sport’ label even when you use the word “serious” in your comment.

Clearly you have to be jesting and trolling the blog to pen such inaccuracies …

1.“Everything on the fake media is fake!!!”… Conversely everything on what YOUR folks consider real media is real one presumes. Thus one futher presumes Fox and Bretbart and Sinclair are the real media…

Lunancy: creating a wildly foolish, severely disordered state of mind .

2.“The Daily Beast”, I mean, come on!!… InfoWars-Alex Jones, The Daily Caller,The Daily Signal, Drudge Report
The Federalist…they are MUCH better, then!

3.“Stormy, the Russian Hoax, the Ukraine rubbish, all are fake, just more plans from ACME!!.”

The US Senate (Republican led), FBI, Facebook investigations, various state elections boards, other national goverments have all said that Russia deliberately and directly interfered with the US elections.

Senate Intel Committee report, vol II excerpt: *** [the Russian Internet Research Agency) sought to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election by harming Hillary Clinton’s chances of success and supporting Donald Trump at the direction of the Kremlin.”***

Vol I which focused on the security breaches of US election systems said in part that Russia directed extensive activity from at least 2014 to 2017 against U.S. election infrastructure both at the state and local level.

Yet, YOU wise beyond measure know best and call it ‘the Russian hoax’. Pls see definition of lunacy!

4“… it was all about the $130K which was supposed to be an illegal campaign contribution or misuse of funds which bombed.”

Stupidly mekking mock sport, must be…. as surely you know a man was imprisoned for that illegal contribution… the bomb was the one which exploded on him and his coconspirator…who can’t be sent to jail (yet)!

5.“Stormy lost in court and has to pay Trump $300K. Avenatti her lawyer who created the fraud is headed for jail!!”

There was NO fraud. This was CRYSTAL CLEAR to any SANE person, Stormy lost a DEFAMATION suit against the POTUS that was completely separate from the substantive matter of whether they had sex…she via Avenatti sued for comments Trump made about her doing a “con job” after she claimed some man had threatened her. That meritless case was thrown out…. And Avenatti is going to jail for ABSOLUTELYNOTHING related to that. NOTHING.

Further definition of lunancy: Accusing others of fakery /lying and creating a completely false narrative to make that accusation. SMH…bare mock sport.

Dude, are you real or a figment of a then 18 years old’s imagination… you are too absurdly ridiculous to be real!

    I done.

@David, as blog editor this is to you foremost.

Some of your bloggers have a deserved repute based on their outstznding achievements in life too date…that is a good thing. When we read their posts we trust the veracity and expect to grow our knowledge….

Now sir when those with that type of reputation come here and DELIBERATELY lie and spread disinoutstanding with selective research you must call them on the lies!

This following is disinformation of the worst kind… and based on the previously accepted research nous of the writer bluntly said: its a LIE.

“So why is Cohen in Jail?…Was it about the Stormy “affair”?…He saw after the payments.[…] Nope, it turns out it has nothing to do with Stormy….“In November 2018, Cohen entered a second guilty plea for lying to a Senate committee about efforts to build a Trump Tower in Moscnow. In December 2018, he was sentenced to three years in federal prison and ordered to pay a $50,000 fine.”

Michael Cohen was JAILED for CAMPAIGN FINANCE VIOLATIONS directly related to Stormy…. it was NOT his only federal crime because he did also perjure himself!

This logic is senseless. If Cohen as a willing prosecution witness had ONLY the crime of “…lying to a Senate committee about […] a Trump Tower in Moscow” he would likely not spend 36 months in jail.

Put it this way…. Scooter Libby who was certainly not a willing witness got 30 months for perjury before congress.

Why do these people LIE so deliberately to defend this man who lies so much! Defend the man all you want but be righteous about it. Good Lord.

This is shamelessly disgusting. You have a duty Mr Blogmaster to call out these fabricators!

  46. RE: “Avenatti her lawyer who created the fraud is headed for jail!!”

Ironically, Trump’s long time lawyer, Michael Cohen, who testified Trump instructed him to pay Daniels “hush money” is IN jail.

Trump is a “SELF-DESCRIBED” germaphobe. There is a psychological condition called Mysophobia, (the technical name for an actual case of of “germaphobia),” and it can adversely affect an individual’s ability to function. An example of a germaphobe was Howard Hughes. He became a hermit through his fear of germs.

Is Trump actually a “germaphobe” or are there any records to indicate he was clinically diagnosed with Mysophobia?

I asked this question because, his behaviour actually contradicts his assertion. How?

What about his over-extended handshakes and there are photos of him randomly kissing babies and women at rallies.

  47. For those members of the herd or troupe or whatever who are capable of independent thought I ask a simple question.

If Cohen got sent to jail for lying to the senate what happens with Schiff and Nadler?
