Well it finally had to happen and CHIEF JUSTICE MARSTON GIBSON’s known competencies, or renown incompetencies had to come to the surface or, as bajans say, “day has run, till night catch it”. Here is the matter in a nutshell.

The City of Bridgetown Credit Union made a qualified loan to Mr. Morris Lee and some family members. They were all members in good standing with the credit union BUT FATE WOULD HAVE IT, because a certain CEO, had his eye on Lee’s properties, it is purported that he directed THAT THE SECURITIES FOR THE LOANS were to be (a) Lee’s Minibuses, (b) a house and land, (c) and apartment building  and (d) ½ acre of land all valued at roughly $5.2M which was TWICE THE AMOUNT OF THE LOAN secured.

But what is really disturbing is that “the assets that were used to collateralize the loan”, WERE NOT THE PROPERTY OF THE MEMBERS WHICH THE CREDIT UNION GAVE THE LOANS TO. Yes sireeeee, Steve Belle and his ingrunt CoB lawyers, securitized the man loan with assets of private companies!

Now let me explain to wunna people cause wunna is not idjits how this works. The CoB can lend money to its members, AS WELL AS “bodies corporate”. BUT THESE BODIES CORPORATE have to become members of the Credit union. IN LEE’s CASE, THIS STEP WAS NEVER DONE so what happened was that while there were 4 companies involved in the loan transaction, Lee’s bus company and 3 real estate companies, NOT ONE WAS MADE A MEMBER! Well once wunna understand the above backstory, wunna is up to speed with all the background CoB trickery in this matter.

Now let us deal with the incompetence of CHIEF JUSTICE MARSTON. It would appear that the Chief Justice HAS BEEN MAKING SOME REAL BIG INGRUNT MISTAKES.

Illegal Orders to repossess the incorrectly listed assets of the 4 non credut union companies, were given to the court by Court Master Debra Holder. She did not listen to TO THE EVIDENCE PROVIDED BY MR. LEE who told her that CoB had not properly securitized the loans.

One further detail for all readers. Wunna remember a man called Ernest Jackman, the lawyer who always getting lock up for client funds? He was Lee’s lawyer and he was doing some of his famous underhand tricks but we will return to that.

So now, when the illegal order gets executed on the assets THAT WERE NOT LEGALLY SECURED, Steve Belle CEO of CoB, gives instruction to get the various assets repossessed. These  included 6 buses and 2 SUVs which Steve claimed “were all inoperable at the time of repossession” ALL OF THEM!

Now here is another joke. Even though the bailiffs drove these vehicles away from the bus stands, WITH POLICE ESCORTS, (and wunna dun know that the Royal Barbados Police Force does only arrest poor black people cause Tasker still free and Innes she still free) Steve say that they were inoperable cause he can auction them off cheap. Lee approached the impotent CJ for an approval for the injunction concerning CoB Credit Union cases CV993/2016 and CV994/2016 to be heard as an urgent matter. And the CJ so orders an urgent hearing on 15th March 2019

The same impotent CJ Marston sends the matter to Dr. Sonia Richards and she refuses to hear it and returns the item to the CJ, without explanation. Even though he is Chief Justice what has happened over the last 4 months, is that all his instructions to 2 judges, to hear the matter on an Injunction with Urgency have been ignored by his subordinates.

By now, all of you readers can see why this submission has the word IMPOTENT because the CJ is so ineffectual that HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT OTHER STEPS HE CAN TAKE IN THIS MATTER. The man is really just “winging it”. It is obvious there is no respect for this man and if MARSTON IS TO BE FIRED, THIS MATTER SHOULD BE THE INCIDENT THAT CUASES THIS TO HAPPEN.

Chief Justice Marston Gibson IS A POOH POOH MAN!

Wunna all unnerstan whu happen so far?

  1. In simple terms City of Bridgetown did not securitize their loans properly to their loan recipients.
  2. They gave loans but the security DID NOT BELONG TO DE PEOPLE THEY GAVE THE LOANS TO.
  3. The assets belonged to 4 non member companies.
  4. When Justice Debra Holder gave CoB the Court Order she erred in that action big time!
  5. Lee and his family rightfully sought to appeal said incorrect Court Order
  6. The CHIEF JUSTICE agreed that his matter had merit for urgent consideration
  7. Marston’s subordinates refused to carry out his instructions for 4 months
  8. During this time, Steve Belle and the City of Bridgetown is using its agents, the Royal Barbados Police Force, the Court Marshalls, the external lawyers, to ride roughshod over Mr. Lee

None of you will believe this but Steve Belle, CEO of CoB, up on the trucks dat are now repossessing properties that ARE NOT THEIRS UNDER THE LAWS OF BARBADOS and taking people’s contents to the St Thomas landfill.

Yes siree, Steve Belle got a bolt cutters and drilling machine and drilling out people locks WHILE PROTECTED BY THE COURT MARSHALLS who say dat “Marston is a boy in de yard and that “they are acting upon an authority that is higher than he!” Which has to be Attorney General, or the Governor General, or the Prime Minister.

Look what Barbados has come to – the criminals are killing us in the streets and the other criminals are killing us through the Court.

  1. While applauding his administration for going in the right direction to ban all single-use plastics from July 1, expressed a concern shared by the Barbados National Standards Institution, and the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.

After examination, they had found some of the bio-degradable replacements had levels of fluorine higher than the recommended 100-150 part per million levels.

Now I am going to continue uploading the incriminating documents as they come to hand

    http://imgur.com/a/TnHhw4x

Here is Land Registry Document as such relates to the City of Bridgetown and Lee’s Construction inc.

You see those submissions by people with outstanding legal matters that you received?

The ones I am always busting your chops about!

Honourable Blogmaster DO YOU COMPREHEND THE ABSOLUTE POWER THAT A GRASSROOTS ORGANISATION WOULD HAVE if they championed those?

This is what the Piece GoFundMe campaign was for Honourable Blogmaster!

    DELIVERABLES!!!

Steve Belle going hot FIRE AND ALGERNON YEARWOOD, my good buddy, going replace Steve!

But they have to get rid of Steve Belle or the City of Bridgetown Credit Union going become a casualty for its members.

We are dealing with nuff poor people ‘s money AND CONCOMITANTLY nuff black people’s votes!!

Now youself starting to get ideas bout how you going use this for Iso TALIBAN Grenville Phillips but de ole man brighter dan dat …

Once people start to see results they are going to follow you

AND I WANT YOU TO WATCH THE RESULTS FROM THIS

  5. @ Hal.

Yes our people don’t like to pay for knowledge as they don’t see it as a tangible asset they are buying.

They will buy a $5000 desk and a $2000 chair for their office though!

  6. @ David.

I wouldn’t say we have bad businessmen as many of our guys can hold their own.

What I will say on BST is that half of those in senior positions should not have been there. It was run like an old boys club based on if you could play cricket or not and who was who. They only survived as long as they did because of the monopoly they held and the fact that in those days the economy could carry inefficiency.

  7. Also the trini take over of our entities shows what we been saying here. Our people are not versed enough in business or they would not of let our assets go astray. The Trinis on the other hand tend to be more aware of their economy from young, it is openly discussed among older teenagers for instance at any gathering. I found that impressive to he honest.

There are some items in suspense

Not let me show you how wicked Steve Belle is as it relates to his friends

    Look at this Highway Robbery

    https://i.imgur.com/JT8zfPX.gifv

One of the Buses that belong to BusMaxx Inc and which are not Lee’s vehicles which was valued at $170,000 WAS TAKEN BY CoB and force sold to Steve Belle’s fiend Imran Mohamed

    FOR $20,200!!!

Can you beleive this sort of shy$e is happening in Barbados?

And the Chief Justice Marston Gibson is condoning it?

And the Justices of the Appeals Court ARE ALSO CONDONING IT?

Does this sound like it is Justice to you?

And who can Lee a poor black man run to?

That is precisely the point here!

The very courts that are supposed to be defending the 95% black population of Barbados is killing their citizens

What was expected here was that Steve Belle would have gotten all of his court buddies and court marshalls and drinking buddies TO RAPE MORRIS LEE in and out of the courts

Sell our all of his possessions, and then come to his personal assets and SELL THEM OUT FOR NOTHING then get de fvucking courts to lock he to shyts up for he mouf.

That is the nasty fvcker that Steve Belle is

So when you asking me bout corporate rules and governance and the FSC and their purview over Steve and his legal criminal IT DOES BE A HARD TING FOR DE OLE MAN NOT TO CUSS and get on like i mek meself.

In this cause that needs resistance Honourable Blogmaster men like you are too nice for this battle

You want scum like me to cavort and swear and RH without any respect for a feller but only answering to what is right and just.

Give me the database so that a man who knows what to do with things like these CAN FIGHT FOR BAJANS while you stay and do your pretense thing.

Slowly but surely de ole man is dragging the people and the sheeple to the One Realization

    THE WHOLE DAMN SYSTEM ROTTEN

cause when you can get cooperative breaking its laws and then see the CEO of that cooperative start to destroy a member of said cooperative who, CAUSE HE BLACK, cannot get one effing cent from the normal banks, but only one ting wrong.

LEE IS TOO BLACK AND TOO AMBITIOUS, dat is two things right.

De ole man cant count so forgive I

Morris lee was venturing out wid de big boys to mek $12 million dollars a year

    So what Belle do ???

Right when Morris getting ready to mek de last few steps of he business plan, BELLE STOP ALL HE LOAN DRAW DOWNS!!!

    Jes so!!

De man pull de plug jes so and although de man ent draw down pun all he loan, BELLE SEE AN OPPORTUNITY TO OWN MINI BUSES, and APARTMENTS, and HOUSES and all dese sort of things easy and he mek a move pun Lee.

Whu after all, when Belle repossess dem, all de CEO got to do IS WHAT HE ENDED UP DOING – call he indian friends and let dem bill pun all Lee’s possessions for cheap!!!

Den turn round and tell lee dat he still owe money!!

AND WHEN DE EFFER BELLE HIT A HURDLE DAT WAS TOO HIGH, namely that the tings dat he repossess and sell was not lee’s own to sell, WHU DE EFFER DO?

He went to court and buy, sorry, not buy, “influence” a few judges to make erroneous rulings that overlook the fact that the entities receiving the Loans were not entitled to, nor constitutionally enrolled to receive said loans and, ensuingly, could not offer their assets for the transaction.

  14. @ the Honourable Blogmaster

And what is your “familiarity with Steve Belle supposed to do/mean?

It i recall correctly you were the same person who, when in the similar circumstances, with the matter of Leroy Parris and Freundel Stuart, when the former Prime Minister said that Parris was his friend, you were among those who castigated Fumbles for endorsing Parris as his friend.

But I guess that we have one law for the Medes and another one for the Persians and once you say that Steve Belle is you friend such a statement is not to be questioned.

You can continue to support your friends and de ole man going continue to support Justice and that which is right

I gine submit all of these “public documents” and show what was done and append the comments of the lady at CoB and the other lady at the Registry.

You can continue to present Steve Belle as Saint Joseph of Assissi as is your right

And let us see what is going be the outcome of your character representations for Steve Belle in the coming weeks.

Howover, I am amazed it has happened with the vaunted coop society proselytized by the Bushman as the salvation of our business woes… It simply shows that jealousy (?), spite and all that is experienced anywhere by all peoples at some time!

@Pieces, your response to my post were enlightening … We agree that the CU’s lawyers appear to have dug a deep hole here for themselves and the members..

But then you threw in another spanner when you suggested that the CEO stopped the loan agreement arbitrarily ie Lee had done nothing to be so sanctioned… bro, is that valid???

I await the other side of this story because what you have described would be one of the most egregious cases of illegal business misbehaviour seen (publicly) in Bim …. if true as you have set out!

Based on your details Lee would freaking sue (and eventually win) the CU out of existence !

Again I say to you great reporting…

Where I am, this shit does not and cannot happen. Our justice system works. We may have crooked lawyers, but you would hardly find incompetent and crooked judges. When one does crop up, he is sanctioned and removed from the bench.

Only in Barbados and banana republics.

@Dame Bake, I know not where u reside but if u can boldly claim that your country of residence has not experienced over time scenarios similar to the one described here then I would also like to live in that utopian society!

There are cases across the US of legal bullying tactics as described above and similiarly in UK and Canada … The issue is NOT whether folks are sanctioned or get away but rather that it HAPPENS.

Human beings across time and across countries are fueled by the same emotions based on everything I have read over my fifty plus years…so again, I am keen to move to your Utopia.

@ Waru, free speech is a blessing…so your ability to spew ur stuff daily is accepted in that regard !

i dare you to compare those criminalities and still chat shite bout “it happens everywhere”

ya will just have to make the STEEUPSE…much, much longer….lol..and nothing else…

  25. @Dribbler

In my 72 plus years, 52 plus in Canada, I have not seen, read or heard of such goings on in this country as attains in Barbados. The Law Society of Upper Canada does what it is supposed to do. Enough said. If my old memory is correct two judges last year were forced to resign or removed by petition. One for making stupid comments to a rape victim. Nothing like what those judges in Bim do and are still sitting.

  26. Dame…ya can’t talk to these…US, UK, Canada and other metropolises…HAVE CHECKS AND BALANCES IN PLACE…and you rarely find those who are so inclined…circumventing those checks and balances, because doing so comes with consequences….we are aslo not saying that the very well connected don’t get away with shite, but unlike Barbados where that is the NORM…it is more an exception rather than the rule…

….but this madman would have us believe that the Canadian government treats it’s citizens in the same crude, brutal, vicious, hateful, disrespectful, insulting manner as the criminals in Barbados’ slave parliament treat their BLACK people…and it is JUST NOT TRUE…Canada has other issues with which we are well familiar…but there is absolutely NO COMPARISON….when it comes to comparing the 2….

there is corruption and crime and dirty politicians EVERYWHERE……but nothing can compare to what the beasts in Barbados’ slave parliament do to their OWN PEOPLE …

…but that is what happens when ya in denial and living in lala land….he should be glad he did NOT get stuck in Barbados instead of popping shit…and pretending there is no crisis in Barbados..

HARP 16-inch (410 mm) gunProject HARP, short for High Altitude Research Project, was a joint project of the United States Department of Defense and Canada’s Department of National Defence created with the goal of studying ballistics of re-entry vehicles at low cost; whereas most such projects used expensive and failure-prone rockets, HARP used a non-rocket spacelaunch method based on a very large gun to fire the models to high altitudes and speeds.

Bull had developed the high-speed gun technique while working on anti-ballistic missile (ABM) and intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) research at CARDE in the 1950s, shooting models of high-speed interceptor missiles from guns as opposed to building supersonic wind tunnels, which would be much more expensive. The ABM project eventually ended without delivering a working system, but Bull was convinced the rocket systems he had developed had potential and started looking for other ways to use the technology. Funding for the project came from the Department of Defence Production in the form of a $500,000 grant and a loan of $200,000 from the McGill board of governors.[1]

The U.S. was in the process of testing newer ICBM systems and required repeated tests of newer re-entry vehicles. Bull suggested that the program could be run for considerably less money if the test vehicles were fired from a large gun, as opposed to using rockets. This would also allow the test program’s schedule to be greatly accelerated, as repeated firing was easy to arrange, compared to rockets. The key concept was the use of an oversized gun firing an undersized vehicle mounted in a sabot, allowing it to be fired with relatively high acceleration. Test electronics were potted in a mix of sand and epoxy, proving more than capable of withstanding the rigors of launch.

The project was based on a flight range of the Seawell Airport in Barbados at 13°04′38″N 59°28′32″W / 13.077221°N 59.475641°W / 13.077221; -59.475641 (HARP Gun), from which shells were fired eastward toward the Atlantic Ocean using an old U.S. Navy 16-inch/50 (406 mm) caliber gun (20.5 m, or 50 times the caliber, in length); addition of a second barrel later extended it to 16″/100 caliber (41 m long). In 1966 the project installed its third and final 16-inch gun at a new test site in Yuma, Arizona. On November 18, 1966 the Yuma gun fired a 400 lb (180 kg) Martlet 2 projectile at 7,000 ft/s (2,100 m/s)[4] sending it briefly into space and setting an altitude record of 180 km (590,000 ft; 110 mi); that world record still stands as of 2018[update].[5]

Abandoned HARP gun in BarbadosThe program was canceled shortly after this and its assets were transferred to Bull under the title of the Space Research Institute, Inc.[5] The politics of the Vietnam War (then in its fifth year) and soured Canada/U.S. relations played their role in the project’s cancellation. The project received just over 10 million dollars during its lifetime.[citation needed] After the project was canceled the gun remained on its emplacement, where it remains to this day, gradually rusting away. A couple of used barrels and what appeared to be an unused barrel were also left there. Bull’s goal was to fire a payload into space from a gun and many have suggested that the ballistics study was offered simply to gain funding. While the speed was not nearly enough to reach orbit (about quarter of the 7,800 m/s delta-v required to reach low Earth orbit), it was a major achievement at a much lower cost than most ballistic missile programs.

    Project Babylon[edit]Main article: Project Babylon
Bull never abandoned the idea of a gun-fired satellite but was forced to turn to other work. Through the 1970s and 1980s, he developed a new artillery piece that dramatically outperformed all others. His design, the GC 45, attracted wide attention. Seeking customers, Bull sold the gun to South Africa and then to Iraq. He was arrested and jailed in the US for the sales to South Africa and left Canada after his release to live in Brussels.

He then resumed work with Iraq, convincing them to build a new satellite launcher gun, Project Babylon. Saddam Hussein agreed to fund the project, but only if Bull helped with their efforts to re-design the re-entry vehicle of the Scud missiles to improve range. Bull agreed, making him an enemy of Iran and Israel, the intended target of the longer-range missiles. The March 1990 assassination of Bull (allegedly at the hands of the Israeli Mossad or the Iranian VEVAK intelligence agency) in his Brussels apartment and the 1991 Gulf War ended the project

Like you and i Hal Mr Barrow was no Saint and someof his policies warranted criticism and while thinkers would dispute the “Father of Independence ” label as well as the originator of all the social programs attributed to him there is no doubt that there was unprecedented social progress on many fronts during his term of office and he did stride the Caribbean landscape like a colussus.

  31. Instead of Googling nonsense, why not ask some of those who worked on the HARP Project as fitters at the Barbados Foundry. Some of them are still alive, including one who now works(ed) as a nurse in the UK.
Also talk to Chessie Whitaker’s nephew, Anthony, who still lives in the 8th Avenue in the Ivy. Chessie who owned a truck, used to ferry material to Paragon for the project and would take along some of the young lads for a ride. I was frequently on Chessie’s truck.
Dr Gerald Bull was involved in HARP at the time the Foundry became involved. He frequently visited the Foundry building.
Buy the books and ignore Wikipedia, who tells us Barbados is not in the Caribbean. Go on You Tube for some of the television documentaries on the subject. Read the Advocates of the day.
I can say a bit more about the HARP Project, but won’t. The rum shop can take so much.

  32. High Altitude Research Project (HARP) 1962 – 1967

The High Altitude Research Project (HARP) space gun was set up at Paragon just to the east of the runway of what was then Seawell Airport – the brainchild of Canadian ballistics scientist Dr. Gerald Bull and jointly funded by McGill University, Canada and the USA Army Research and Development Center.
The HARP project was established to develop a large gun to shoot things into space. It was originally built from a 65-foot long, 16” caliber naval cannon, the kind that might be seen on a battleship. The cannon was later joined to another barrel, extending the length of this super-gun to 120 feet and making it too big for effective military application, but perfect for satellite delivery. It was a serious attempt to use low-cost cannons in place of expensive rockets to launch satellites into space.
The HARP space gun arrived in Barbados by a USA Navy landing craft and came ashore at Foul Bay Beach in 1962. The gun was mounted on a train carriage. Lengths of tracks were laid across the beach and up the hill. This was pulled by a Caterpillar tractor. When it got to the end of the tracks the rails behind were removed and placed to the front and the process continued. The pull up the hill from the beach would have been a heavy haul. As far as I remember, as it went up the hill the tracks behind the carriage were covered with sand to stop the whole thing from running into the sea if the tow-cables broke.
It was pulled along the coast, past what is now Ocean City, Green Point and Penny Hole to its final resting-place below the runway. It must have been a tedious process. After travelling a few hundred meters the track was moved and laid out in the front.
An American sailor was killed in the unloading operation when he fell into the sea and was crushed between the landing craft and another boat. I remember my parents carrying me to Foul Bay when it was being off loaded. Although I only saw the picture of the unloading recently it is exactly as I remember it.
Other smaller guns were installed at a later date. A little known fact is that one was installed at Ragged Point, just to the east of the Lighthouse and fired its shells north. I recently met a man from St. Lucy who told me that as a boy he used to go to the cliff and watch the shells fall into the sea.
The stated reason we were given at the time was it was to test the feasibility of putting a satellite in space. In my opinion that was never the reason for this gun. The gun points at 128Deg (magnetic). The easiest way to get an object into space is to launch it due east. There is a lot of room in the area to position the gun pointing to the east if they wanted to.
All pictures on the gun firing show it firing at an angle and not straight up. This is not the way to get into space. Of course the reason for this may be that they did not want to shell to land back on the island.
When the gun was fired it shook the land for miles around and the BOOM could be heard over most of the island. On the days that firing were taking place announcements were broadcast over Rediffusion (a local wired radio station) that we were to keep well away from the area. Naturally that meant that I had to go and have a look. One day I went to Penny Hole with some friends. We were walking across the pasture trying to find out where the gun was when it went off. I remember a very loud noise, and seeing a huge mushroom cloud not that far away. We left in a hurry.
Once a part of the shell casing landed in the Four Roads area. The HARP staff quickly collected it. It did not kill a donkey as some reports have it.
The project trained a lot of local men in radar, electronics and general mechanical engineering. Over the years I have met several whom got work and training, and made good wages at HARP.
In 1988 [21 years after the HARP Project was abandoned in Barbados] the USA decided that it wanted one of the spare barrels back. A local company, Coles Engineering, was contracted to move it on a specially designed multi wheeled hydraulically steered trolley. One end of the barrel was placed on this carriage and the other end on a low loader trailer pulled by a truck. It was loaded on to the Barge ITCO 1401 in the Careenage. One end of the barge had to be flooded to get it to the same height as the Careenage. As the truck moved on to the barge the water was pumped back out to allow the multi-wheeled dolly to get on.
It left Barbados on 23 June 1988. It was towed by the tug La Carriere, with Ian “Blue” Cox as Captain, to Beaumont, Texas, arriving on the 08 July and was delivered to Sandia Laboratories. It was sent to a desert location where the low humidity would preserve it.
On the return trip the Tug La Carriere ran into the tail end of Hurricane Gilbert and had a very rough trip.
Whatever the true reason behind the project it is a shame that what remains of the HARP guns is being allowed to rust away neglected and forgotten. HARP was a small but important part of our history. Maybe the Barbados National Trust will recognize this and organize a restoration program. In the meantime the HARP space guns are rusting away – all for the want of a bit of paint every few years and some energy to get out and market this piece of history.(Quote)

Let me say again, something I have said numerous times on BU. The 1961 Barrow government was dynamic. It introduced a new kind of policy-making that was not seen in Barbados until Adams decided to fill in the space between the mainland and Pelican island. I was a big supporter. It is only now, on reflection, that I disagree with his filling in the Careenage etc. I still remember the popular feeling in those days.
In fact, looking back, I believe the Adams momentum was such that Barrow felt he had to match it; and as we had proof of the innovative nature of the Deep Water Harbour (one of the first container ports in the world), Barrow decided to fill in the Careenage. The free education is simply PR. Before this, as you will remember, we had a three-tiered secondary educational system: First Grade schools (Harrison College, Queens’ College and Lodge) Second Grade schools (Combermere, Foundation, Coleridge and Parry, Alleyne and St Michael).
We also had a phalanx of private schools, all of high quality _ the Modern High, Federal, Barbados Academy, Lynch’s Secondary, Metropolitan, etc and the Catholic Church had its own school, Presentation College). On education, Barrow was pushing against an open door. Free secondary education was at first meant as a slogan and the people believe it literally.
About the Father of Independence, I am interested in historical accuracy, not party politics. I leave that to the politicians.

  34. Mr. Bull and his wife Mina were great people. I was entertained at their Rockcliffe home on several occasions. They had one son, a pleasant young man. it was sad when he was taken out by the Israelis.

  35. @ charles Skeete July 12, 2019 11:39 AM

It’s a pleasure to see that even the followers of DLP are distancing themselves from Barrow.

We need a truth commission to determine Barrow’s true motives for declaring independence. Was it personal pathological ambition? Was it the big Mercedes as official car? Was it the socialist indoctrination at the LSE in London or all these factors together?

The nation must finally cut itself off from Barrow and ban him from the banknotes and from the list of national saints. Let us take Great General Bussa instead. He died as a young hero on the battlefield of freedom, not as a fat, old man in the thumbbed of his villa.

Bussa is a man of my personal taste.

Most determined, a great leader and ready for self-sacrifice.

Of course de ole man and me grandson have been cursed pass the same graves that i had recently invited Barbados 2019 and freedom crier to go searching for.

  37. The Constitution has been amended to allow courts to impose the death penalty if warranted, says Attorney General Dale Marshall.

    http://www.nationnews.com/nationnews/news/240694/ag-death-penalty-imposed

  38. What an indictment of David friend Steve Belle
Boy David me mudda always say when yuh lie down wid dogs yuh catch fleas yuh hear
Cant wait to hear yuh defense of this mangy mongrel yuh call a friend.
Go ahead David now attack Stuart fuh saying Parris was his friend
But look wuh barbados come to doah
    Wuh loss muh belly

  39. While it will have its political fallout, that decision by the permanently staring Attorney General Dale Teets Marshall IS THE SINGULAR MOST INTELLIGENT ACT the Mugabe administration has done since it has been in power

  40. I do not support the death penalty in Barbados.

Almost all of you claim the judiciary is a mess so it is better to make sure innocent people don’t get hang.

  41. Until the wrong man gets hang
Then all the applause would die down to shame and incompetence
A govt who says they had no money to cover wells
Now can put laws in place to hang people
Just a matter of time before the inevitable happen
Govt cannot even find one corrupt person to bring to justice
Another political move that would bite barbados in the arse
Govt Still waiting after a year to strike a deal with external creditors
What Faith to have in believing hanging laws on the books would stop crime
Bro the horse has already bolted

  42. On the death penalty. Any use of the death penalty must still adhere to international conventions, regardless of any constitutional change.

In particular, any significant delays in delivering in the case process will likely have a significant impact on the result.

  43. Govt cannot even find one corrupt person to bring to justice (QUOTE)

And I was here thinking it’s the police that bring people to justice.

I guess I was wrong. That means the former DLP government and Adriel Brathwaite must also accept some of the blame

  44. @ Honourable Blogmaster

    Your said and I quote

    “… July 12, 2019 6:07 AM

How has the blogmaster’s comment supported the view that Belle has not sinned?…”

It is not the blogmaster’s comments that support the view that Belle has not sinned

IT IS THE BLOGMASTER”S OVERT ACTIONS THAT SUPPORT THIS VIEW

Whenever it happens that an item is put here by me or by my Dearest SSS which is an IMGUR item which has viewership counts AND WHICH REFLECTS BADLY ON ANY OF YOUR GOLDEN BOYS OR GIRLS you make it your business to cause the image count to PAUSE

so that BU viewers can see how Steve has reached out to you and asked you to kill this article and because part of you wants to do the right thing, you say that you cant KILL IT BUT YOU WILL MAKE IT APPEAR LIKE IT DOES NOT HAVE ANY FOLLOWING what you do is pause the count so that BU does not read its info from imgur

    https://i.imgur.com/epJF75O.png

Above is the picture of a picture that the grandson made of the actual gif that is running at IMGUR

People can see that the actual count is 68 AS OPPOSED TO THE 10 that you are showing

So it is most hypocritical when you go on to say and I quote

“… BU is not like other social media outlets that will run blindly with what is out there…”

YOUR ARE NOT RUNNING BLINGY WITH WHAT IS OUT THERE but you are most assuredly doing your bit AS MINISTER OF DISINFORMATION to keep people and sheeple “blind” about what is the true status of certain matters that are out there!!!

And as it relates to the part where you say “Some of you are of the view the blogmaster cannot share an opinion based on experience…” all i would say is that if that experience is one where the criminals are your friends ACTIONS LIKE THESE GO A LONG WAY TO INDICATE WHERE YOUR ALLEGIANCES will cause you to align yourself

  45. The reintroduction of the death penalty is a great deed by our government.

Our distinguished Attorney General should move forward courageously and press ahead with this trial for money laundering. The figure in NYC could make history: as the first death candidate in Her Majesty’s prison cell in a long time.

The Attorney General must leave aside small formalities such as certain figures which are obviously on the wrong side of the law in this case. We urgently need the Attorney General to investigate the prosecutors and the parts of the police who are attached to this blue Barrow cult.

  46. The reintroduction of hanging is a plaster to covering a large bleeding hole
A hole which govt have left to fester for many years
A hole which cannot be mended by the swinging of a gallows
Criminal activity lends itself to an eye for eye a psychological imprint that is hell bent in revenge

  47. @Mariposa,

One rare time that I agree with you. Successive governments have not addressed issues that lead to a societal breakdown and discipline. Political will is the big issue here, to address the moral, cultural and socioeconomic issues that drive behaviour.

Then, there is the due process. That is a thesis in of itself. It can be dealt with, but there are changes that would have to be made. Significant ones.

Both of these subjects are extensive and cannot be addressed by merely changing legislation.

Then too, as I mentioned above, such a change may be moot anyway, considering the international implications and conventions as these relate to human rights.

  48. It is always frightening when government into a discussion of the death penalty. It is a soft warning to those who may oppose the government of the power that lies in government hands.
Given the accusation of treason and being unpatriotic that has been leveled at some, it is quite possible that the true target of this bit of legislation may not be the murderers in our society.

Sorry guys. instead of the usual dance on the head of a needle.. let’s start on the main stage….

    https://deathpenaltynews.blogspot.com/2010/08/dictators-and-death-penalty.html

“If capital punishment is not an effective solution to crime, nor practised in accordance with Islam, why are North African leaders so reluctant to remove it from their penal code? “The death penalty is an effective instrument of fear and repression,” argues Amin. “It can be used to (intimidate) or eliminate political opponents.” Legislation blurs the grey line between terrorism and political activism, giving authorities broad discretion to arrest and execute dissidents. Capital crimes are usually tried in special courts, often without the right to appeal. “If you look at the crimes punishable by death you will notice that many of them are related to the security and stability of the state – which (encompasses) most political activities,”
