p align=”justify”>The case of the man who travelled from Liberia to Texas, United States and had to visit the hospital twice before the geography challenged hospital workers were able to connect the dots,  has exposed the readiness of the US healthcare system to mobilize under an Ebola threat. It took days before those who lived in a modest apartment with the Ebola patient got their room sanitized by US authorities. Now that Ebola has entered the White man’s world we intend to observe how the developed world mobilizes against Ebola. The real challenge remains at the source, West AFRICA!

The biggest joke of the week though is acting minister of health Donville Inniss trivializing concerns about Barbados preparedness from head of BAMP’s Dr. Carlos Chase’s

  3. There is nothing stopping a person infected with Ebola but is not showing symptoms, from travelling to Barbados.

  4. Recently I’ ve been hearing promotions from local travel agencies promoting tours to some West African countries. What sort of immunisation will be required of these people ,by our government before journeying out?

  5. The entire handling of Ebola is very poor. Anyone wanting to leave the effected countries should have required quartining in said country BEFORE travel unless they have a properly equiped Air Ambulance pick up and a organised hospital destination. The chap who travelled to Dallas because he ticked off no contact with Ebola proves that human nature in such cases is predictable ie I stand a better survival probability in the USA so there I go, truth is irrelevant in self preservation!

  6. I agree with the posts, logic says the best way to quarantine is before getting on a plane or leaving an area. ironically they say if you quarantine for 21 days before leaving the country/region that aid workers are less likely to help the region, fair enough, they and the residents of those areas are also less likely to spread the disease. In today’s politically correct world a quarantine is a polarizing topic….Common sense says keep it from spreading and the greatest good for the greatest amount of people. You can make quarantine fun, open up a lounge with mixed drinks with wifi etc.
