israel-palestineAs the bombs rain down on the heads of women and children in Gaza…over 460 Palestinians have been killed, to be fair as well as Hamas fighters.  One is tempted to ask when will it all end, but before that question is answered we should ask ourselves when did it begin…I will not venture into Biblical history.  I am also aware of the Hamas rockets fired on the Israeli cities including Sderot and Ashkelon.

Regardless of the rights and wrongs of the situation –human beings are being killed – what cannot be denied is that after the Second World War the world disgusted with themselves for the treatment  the Jews suffered, sometimes with the acquiesce of some world powers and silence from others.  Sought to redress the wrongs suffered by the Jews, in so doing it was the Palestinians who had to pay… and they did with their land.  When the Israelis are asked how come you are entitled to these lands, they retort – God gave it to us, it is written in the Bible.  They are not many people today who can show title to land they hold by reference to the Bible in a court of Law…but that is bye the bye.

That Israeli is entitled to live in peace is so obvious that is is not worth stating but so are the Palestinians.

We have had so many Palestinian “bogey men”  who if they were killed or were out of the way all would be sweetness and light but they were killed or died…and there is no sweetness or light.

Do you remember Yasser Arafat, Ariel Sharon said he was an obstacle to peace and without his presence a settlement would ensue.  Arafat is long dead and new fighters and leaders have taken his position.  Do you remember Hamas Sheikh Ahmed Yassin the nearly blind paraplegic who was assassinated by an Israeli helicopter gunship in 2004 he was said to be an obstacle to peace he is gone and yet there is no peace.

The shrouds have been wrapped around babies and they entombed.  Mothers beat their breast and wail, the bombs rain down..there is no peace.

Conflicts have been settled and the world moves on, but I fear the Israeli Palestinian conflict will “grind” on for many a year.  There will be no peace for the price of that peace is an acceptance that the other side is entitled to live in peace and harmony; bold is he/her who will predict that they will see peace in their lifetime in the Holy Land…I fear I will not see it, however there are always surprises in war.

    Thanks for your kind remarks.
    I will agree with you that true Believers often come across as Revisionists…and that the goal posts keep being changed, when previously promised goals are missed…

    This will occur when the person is too eager to pontificate with out considering all the information or all the relevant scriptures in their context correctly divided.

    However, as the eschaton approaches more scriptures are fulfilled and more pieces of the puzzle piece together and things become clearer.

    As you correctly point out medial practitioners often do not know the diagnosis of a particular scenario nor the prognosis and are often wrong.

    In this situation, I am confident about my right dividing of the Word of Truth. The prophetic scriptures calls for a continuing and escalating conflict between the Jews and their neighbors in the middle East until Christ’s appearing at Armageddon. Assuming that the Bible is indeed God breathed as stated in the two proof texts for this concept that I have cited in an earlier post, it would seem that God is keeping his promises in this regard. This is my basic submission on this thread.

    If I am wrong about believing the Bible, I would not have lost anything at all. If I am right I would have gained all.

    I will admit to having possibly made the wrong diagnosis once or twice but I don’t think that I wrongly divide the Word-not according to the views of the most eminent of theologians, nor according to the Holy Spirit within.

    But I appreciate your philosophizing. It is thought provoking. Not at all like the nasty insults and ignorant remarks that I have had to hear from my own not so well read father.

    I just had to say it but the Koran states that once land is occupied by Islam it can never be allowed to be under the control of unbelievers. The entire area which is Israel was part of the Ottoman Empire an Islamic state. remember Saladin re-conquered jerusalem from the crusaders. Fact.
    Now there is no question that the state of Israel was created in very undesirable circumstances which would not be condoned today BUT it has happened and Israel is a state.

    Reasonable ppl would acknowledge that and settle for a stop to new settlements and expansion by Israel and the creation of an autonomous state for themselves. The palestinians have had several opportunities to accomplish this but they are used by more militant muslim states like Iran and Syria as tthe flashpoint for attacking Israel. None of these states provide sanctuary or help to the palestinians just weapons and rhetoric.

    there is no doubt that Israel has and will continue to commit atrocities. As long as you have men there will be animals among them. but there is no desire for peace or resolution among the muslims. they have vowed not to stop until they push Israel into the sea. no attempts at co-existing so who is to blame? At least Israel has tried compromise at some point in time but every single time an israeli leader comes to power who attempts to broker a peace plan or espouses compromise the suicide bombings and attacks increase so as to stir up the militant jews.

    Africans have been displaced from tremendous amounts of land through the British Empire’s nefarious methods including outright force but people who are not fanatics realise that you cannot rewrite the past especially when it comes to land occupation , not in the 21st century. the islamic effort is not about palestinian land or a palestinian state or self government or improved conditions It is about the state of Israel which they dont believe has the right to exist.

    Me too. But the second question should be where? For me a good choice would have been some where in Poland or Germany. But the answer today is to ship them all out and relocate them in Utah. They gotta a lotta space there.

    CH, I thought Jesus/God/The Comforter had already come and he was in our hearts if we looked for him. GP seems to believe that there will be a physical second coming. My initial question was facetious, seeing the Israelis don’t accept that he came even the first time.

    To those who ask, are not the Palestinians entitled to their own land, State?

    To this question, they already have a Palestinian State, The modern-day Royal Kingdom of Jordan which was and IS the independent Palestinian-Arab state.

    Most of the population of Jordan are “Palestinians” Abdullah and other Arab leaders admitted to this in 1948 just prior to the launch of their war of aggression against the new state of Israel.

    Over 70% of the land mandated by the Balfour Declaration for the state of Israel, was given to create the state of ‘ Transjordan’ by Winston Churchill, which was a gross violation by the British officials of the Foreign Office, as the Mandate sanctioned by the League of Nations, specifically charged them with only facilitating the immigration of Jews to Palestine to populate the land. Britian had explicit instructions not to allow or facilitate more immigration of Arabs into the new Jewish homeland.

    Abdullah said, “Palestine and Transjordan are ONE, for Palestine is the coast-line and Transjordan the hinterland of the same country.” His Prime Minister, Hazza al-Majali, went even further, and said; “We are the army of Palestine…the overwhelming majority of the Palestine Arabs are living in Jordan.”

    As stated before, the ISSUE has never been ‘land’ for the Palestinians, as they already have a Palestinian state, JORDAN, the real issue IS that the Arabs DO NOT want Israel as a state to exist, this demonic hatred goes way back into Old Testament history, without which one will NEVER be able to understand, ‘The Everlasting HATRED, The Roots of Jihad’ a most appropriate title for Hal Lindsey’s well researched and presented book.

    As GP as stated, there will be, there can be NO peace in the Middle East, until, the ‘Prince of Peace’ The Lord Jesus Christ returns, and all of the sings He said to look for are unfolding daily. The Season, generation, for the Second Advent of Christ is at hand!

    The fact that the Israelis don’t accept that he came even the first time only means that they are in unbelief as predicted by both Jeremiah & Isaiah. And they will suffer therefore until they recognize the Messiah at His glorious appearing at Armageddon.

    The importance of the doctrine of the second coming is demonstrated by its prominence in Scriptures. 1 out of every 30 verses in the Bible mentions this doctrine. In the New Testament this truth is mentioned 300 times, or once in every 25 verses. For every 1 mention of the first coming there are 8 mentions of the second coming. 318 mentions of this subject are made in 216 chapters Whole chapters are devoted to it e.g Matthew 24 & 25, Mark 13, Like 21, 2 Peter 3 and some books are practically given over to it; like 1 & 2 Thessalonians and Revelation.

    Jesus spoke about it in John 14:1-3, the Apostles taught it, Moses and the prophets and the Psalmist all preached it. The angels who bore such faithful testimony to his first advent, informed us at his departure that he would come again [Acts 1:1]. Such faithful testimony by Jesus, the angels and the apostles force us to conclude and believe that THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST IS IMPORTANT.

    If the number of times mentioned makes a subject important, then surely the second coming of Christ is one of the most important matters in the mind of God. The Word has provided us with so much information concerning the second advent of Christ that men are left with out excuses on this vital subject, so as to prepare for its arrival. Since the numerous prophecies concerning the first coming were so accurately fulfilled, it is quite reasonable to anticipate an equally accurate fulfillment of the more numerous mentions of the second coming. Our only conclusion then is that THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST IS IMPORTANT.!!

    The second coming of Christ is a word of comfort, a word of encouragement, a word of blessing and a word of warning; THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST IS IMPORTANT.

What ‘old time’ is Peter talking of and who are these ‘holy men?’ By the way WE were in existence eons before Peter and these ‘holy men.’ They came and upset the natural order and have brought us this new bloody world order.     Article II of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide does not make exceptions for motive. In other words, using Hamas as an excuse is unacceptable. The Convention discusses “Deliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to destroy a group includes the deliberate deprivation of resources needed for the group’s physical survival, such as clean water, food, clothing, shelter or medical services. Deprivation of the means to sustain life can be imposed through confiscation of harvests, blockade of foodstuffs, detention in camps, forcible relocation or expulsion into deserts.”

    Of course I can explain many things without resorting to Bible passages. But you see Bible is my interest. You guys present your viewpoint, and I allow you to do so, without either question or ad hominem attacks.

    My reasoning on the topic is of no real consequence. Where I stand on this issue as a human being with a conscience is of no real importance. It will not change anything.

    As far as I am concerned the relevance of current events as a prelude to the second coming is for me EVERYTHING.

    If you dont agree with me, you can just ignore me.

    THE MAPS TELL THE TRUE STORY

    The truth is that far from being the poor victim it likes to portray itself as, Israel is in fact the most aggressive and belligerent nation in the region, having invaded pretty much everyone it shares a border with.

    The following maps show what Israel has actually done.

    The above map is Israel as it was first created by UN declaration in 1947. The blue portion is Israel, the rest is all Arab lands. Note that Jerusalem was completely within Arab lands and Israel was much smaller than it is today. Note also that there is NO Israeli presence inside the area surrounding Jerusalem. No settlements, certainly no IDF.

    The red square outlines the approximate region shown in the map to the right.

    This is Israel as it is today. Note that the western border of Palestine has been pushed up to Jerusalem. Such a land grab is NOT the result of a defensive act, but of an invasion to bring Jerusalem under Israeli control, even though Jerusalem was not originally part of Israel. The maps clearly tell the story of an Israel conquering lands which do not belong to it. Since Sharon took office, Israel has built more illegal Jewish Settlements on Palestinian land. Note on the above map that the majority of the lands which were originally Arab lands when Israel was created, are now under complete (white) or partial (orange) Israeli control. Only the black areas remain to the Palestinians, and those are shrinking by the minute.

    Stop buying into what Sharon claims Israel “has to do” and look at what Israel has actually done. The maps tell the story of a nation eager to conquer lands which do not belong to it. Israel has invaded virtually every nation it shares borders with, including Syria and Lebanon, and as the map above shows has almost conquered Palestine and is ready to “ethnically cleanse” the region. Far from being the poor victimized society desperately defending itself Israel likes to pretend it is in order to wrest more money from Americans, Israel is in fact the most militarily aggressive nation in the region.

    I did not set out to prove anything to you, or any one else. I have merely presented my understanding of Eschatology. You are at liberty to interpret or misinterpret this major Bible doctrine as you seem fit.

    I interpret the Bible literally, and have taken the time to study Hermeneutics to assist my interpretation thereof.

    We go to lawyers to interpret the law for us. We go to other specialists for thier interpretations in thier specialties, but you know what? EVERYONE WANTS TO INTERPRET THE BIBLE WITHOUT STUDYING IT.

    It always amazes me.

    I will ask you a simple question as as example.

    Jesus said that HE IS THE DOOR OF THE SHEEP is that to be interpreted literally or metaphorically? Or in the heart?

It was Bamford who popularized the existence of Operation Northwoods in his 2001 book, Body of Secrets. In The Shadow Factory, he sheds light in the secret rooms of Verizon and AT&T, and shows the NSA to be a very poor custodian of the nation’s security.)

    Bamford Brings the Goods

    On October 14, 2008, James Bamford talked about some of the shocking research in his new book on Democracy Now!, with Amy Goodman;

    Along with the mass surveillance being conducted on all U.S. users of AT&T and Verizon by Narus and Verint, (according to Bamford), two other Israeli-owned companies, Amdocs and NICE Systems, have their fingers in the wiretapping pie as well.

    Christopher Ketcham preceded Bamford in September, with with the article “Trojan Horse”, that focuses on Verint, Amdocs, and CALEA (the legislation which brought all of these problems into existence);

    “Together, Verint and Amdocs form part of the backbone of the government’s domestic intelligence surveillance technology. Both companies are based in Israel – having arisen to prominence from that country’s cornering of the information technology market – and are heavily funded by the Israeli government, with connections to the Israeli military and Israeli intelligence (both companies have a long history of board memberships dominated by current and former Israeli military and intelligence officers). Verint is considered the world leader in “electronic interception” and hence an ideal private sector candidate for wiretap outsourcing. Amdocs is the world’s largest billing service for telecommunications, with some $2.8 billion in revenues in 2007, offices worldwide, and clients that include the top 25 phone companies in the United States that together handle 90 percent of all call traffic among US residents. The companies’ operations, sources suggest, have been infiltrated by freelance spies exploiting encrypted trapdoors in Verint/Amdocs technology and gathering data on Americans for transfer to Israeli intelligence and other willing customers (particularly organized crime)…

    None of US law enforcement’s problems with Amdocs and Verint could have come to pass without the changes mandated by the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act of 1994, which, as noted, sought to lock spyware into telecom networks. CALEA, to cite the literature, requires that terrestrial carriers, cellular phone services and other telecom entities enable the government to intercept “all wire and oral communications carried by the carrier concurrently with their transmission.”

    If Ketcham and Bamford are correct, (so far, no lawsuits), then the National “Security” Agency has thrown the “National Security” of the United States under the bus…

    I amuse my sorry ass knowing that massive amounts of computing power might be used to decrypt single messages talking about my holidays….

    Firstly I have not said that anyone on this forum are unlearned, although it is obvious that many have not studied the Bible.

    The Bible states that the Bible was written by God (greek theos pneuptos in the verse I cited from 2 Timothy earlier)using holy men of God as cited in 1 Peter 1:18.

    I cant tell you what you should believe or accept………but I can share with you what I understand, believe and accept. Is that not reasonable?.

    The conflict between Israel & The Palestinians is not of any real interest to this man.
    The Israelis could bomb the Palestinians into oblivion it is of no importance to me.Conversely,The Palestinians could do likewise to the Israelis.I agreed with an earlier blogger that this conflict is not of any real importance to black people of this world.
    These same Arabs enslaved black Africans in Africa and even today Muslims Arabs in The Sudan are killing Black Africans for the oil in that region.We all know what the wicked,criminal so-called Jews believe in.

    Hopi my brother I will never be silent.I am still following this blog.
    The artificial,corrupt,wicked,parasitical world order that the stinking Europeans created is falling down around them.The nonsensical,christian doctrines that were rammed down black people throats are being expose and strip naked everyday.
    The same Christian religion that was used to keep up in bondage is now being use to liberate us.Only fools will believe that.No white stinking European could never tell this Negroman how to worship.I will never practise the same religion that the criminal slave master practised.It is a disservice & insult to the suffering my enslaved Fore-Parents went through.I do not want to go to heaven and drink milk & honey.I am lactose intolerant & I do not drink the piss or shit from the bees.I want to milk & honey in heaven.Total bullshit.
    I am spiritual person that practise the correct principles in lifes.I do not have to go into any church and listen to a bunch of stupid ass mainly Black Pastors,Priests Reverends & the rest talk a bunch of nonsenese and drive fear into my heart.
    I read the gentleman Pires column in the weekend nation.Although I have real problems with that person,I cannot help but to agree with him that many of us Black People are stupid as ass.Pires you are right.Your are right.Today’s nation also had a nice letter written by a gentleman name Lord.It tells the truth.
    To all Christians & Biblical Scholars.I posed a question on this blog and asked many people and I have not received an answer to satisfy my query.I will asked the question again.
    In the beginning as the bible states God created heaven & earth and then he created Adam and then created Eve out of a rib from Adam.Adam & Eve were the first 2 human beings on earth.Adam and Eve produced Cain and the Abel.Cain & Abel had a disagreement and Cain killed Abel.Cain was put out the Garden of Eden.Cain went to some far away land and he met other people.My question Where did those other people came from? I need an answer to that question.
