womenI have to agree with Mr. Boyce. BANGO’s perspective on this is that it takes two. Women unleash their strength on men and cry fowl when men unleash theirs. What is the woman’s strength, words and emotion. They unleash it and when you hear the feminists, you see what I mean. It is unbridled.

If relations are to get any better, then women must learn to control themselves in as much as they are asking men to exercise the same control.

Women must learn to stop telling men that they “never” did anything for them”. They must also stop bashing men if they expect to seriously address this problem and as Ralph said, seek to deal with the real problem rather than the symptoms.

Furthermore, men must deal with the unfair situation where the courts of law remove them from their homes and place them in great hardship and straining their ability to support their children. You place them at a disadvantage and then heap them with burdens.

    Where you all get this foolishness from that “men in crisis” from?
    Men are not in crisis, the focus of men and the focus of women are different, if allowed to work they ultimately compliment each other. They are many women at UWI simply because women believe this to be the way forward. Men on the other hand are more interested in the rough and tumble of things. Motor mechanics, carpentry, joinery, commerce of all kinds, truck driving etc. and they make a pretty good living out of it.

    One of the biggest problems that men have to face is enfemminate men who sit in the house of assembly and pass laws that are detrimental to men making their situation bad. Men also have to face a extremely hostile legal system that sides with women almost every time. Judges who have no feelings for men even when they are right. Judges who fail to enforce judgements against women but enforce them against men every time. A police force that is of little help to men and on and on.

    Not that women are better it is just they are allowed to get away with every thing not so men.

    Men have lost their homes, bank accounts, cars, dignity, their children with alarming regularity here in Barbados.

    However all this is being ignored as though it is not happening.

    The problem as we see it is how the roles of men and women both have and must change in the modern society. While women have taken a more aggressive position by grabbing positions previously held by men the solution to supporting a family with the removal of the village is still work under construction. While it is true that many men have been raised by women the question remains if in totality the society would not be more enriched if men and women played different roles.

    We agree that men across the social spectrum have been reluctant to ‘change’ to accept/accommodate the different role the woman is playing. Unfortunately it is a struggle that will continue and if we are to judge if the current arrangement is working, we just have to look around us.

    Don’t fool yourself, women are not grabbing positions there are being handed to them on a silver platter.

    Don’t let us forget the HUGE part SEX is playing in all of this. Women today are dropping their panties in a hurry when they see it as an opportunity to get salary increases, promotions, new positions,to clinch deals.

    These things are real but some of you are pretending that they don’t happen.

    Real men will not allow bosses to have sex with them. However many women do.

    @JC…. True. In our ancestral home women were in charge in society. All this confusion we have today is a result of this demonic european sewer/system that still enslaves us. Today they are allowing the women the ‘illusion’ of power i.e. go to school get a ‘degree’ and you don’t need a man, you’re independent and in the meantime our men are just sinking deeper and deeper into a cesspool of ‘unmanliness,’ while our children continue to be led astray by this same satanic sewer. The black family has been under attack for hundreds of years and we ‘stay this destructive course’ to our detriment. All this ‘academic mis-education’ will never benefit us. All we are doing is sacrificing our collective souls/spiritual oneness to the illusion of progress and development. We are just feeding the’beast’ that will never stop leeching off of us until until we truly recognize the root of our collective destruction and this awareness calls for a higher level of consciousness. WE ARE FROM A LINEAGE OF SOULS WHO WERE ABLE TO SEE STARS WITH THEIR NAKED EYES, SOULS WHO KNEW THAT TIME AND SPACE WERE ONE. (Not Albert Einstein). Our people knew this long before the europeans. And look at our appalling condition today!

    I came up with 5 sisters and a mother.
    I am the last and trust me,Straight as an arrow.
    Teach the children values and morals from young. Stop substituting parenting with playstation and nintendo.
    Let them earn gifts and see the rewards for hard work not a car at 16 because you can afford it. Quality time and family time instead of a sitter. Sit down on evenings and eat together.
    These were some of the things my mother did in the absence of my father.

    So that argument of women raising boys to be gay is pure *****…..wheel and come again!!

    I know that what you are saying is true, I have read this and one of my professors told me this very same thing! We are a remarkable peole just for the hang of it i will pate it to the bottom I love how you said it Hopi THANKS!

    @J…… Hell No! I’m not giving them enough credit. The whole issue of feminism is a ‘white’ construct. Black women who are truly aware of themselves don’t need this feminist bullshit and your mother and other’s grandmother didn’t act because they were feminist. Their actions were in the matriarchal lineage of their ancestry. If you really knew a little history you’d recognise that most of these social/empowerment movements are duplicitous conceptions. Their mission statement and face value say one thing but their true intentions are hidden. You make 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

    One reason for society’s decay is the constant competition between men and women instigated by the feminist movement.
    Women always had the upper hand, even when their were denied their “rights” by society.

    I was talking to someone who lives in Africa and they told me that man vs woman is a problem in Johannesgburg as well!

    Only last week a policeman came home and killed everyone in his family! The wife, two children, his mother in law, sister in law, every body even the dog and cat (he was white)!

    don’t get so sensitive. It was the play on words. After cat you have in brackets (he was white) which can be interpreted to mean that only the cat was white… but we know what you mean. Straight talk just could not help himself.
