  1. @ David,

Tomorrows race should be exciting with Lewis starting 9th and Nico on pole.

  2. @Hants

It is a dangerous track, anything can happen.

  3. First race yesterday at Woodbine. 3000th win for Patrick Husbands BSS.

43 years old and still riding well.

  4. Wayne Cadogan you masterminded the Cummings boycott please raise your voice again because the management of Barbados Tridents must be taken to task for the lack of Bajan players in the squad. We know how a franchise works however Pollard and Singh both Trinidadians have selected six mediocre Trinidadians even as the exciting Shane Dowrich a test player mind you, and Kevin Stoute etc cant get a look in. Pillsbury dough boy Pollard engineered the departure of top batter Dwayne Smith and the likes of Jonathan Carter from the franchise and drafted Trinidadian players who aren’t even selected on their national team.

Pray tell who is Navin Stewart, Pooran and Hosein. The irony is Barbadian fans are asked to pay and hail for a team in which they are few local players of caliber but carries the name Barbados Tridents and is based at Kensington. What an outrage that disrespects our storied cricket tradition. Where are the protests from the cricket gurus at the BCA. Would you believe a Barbados Tridents team with barely a Bajan player in the starting eleven . That would never happen in Trinidad, Jamaica or Guyana.

  5. @ David,

Owner of Force India also owns Barbados Tridents. Name Barbados is on the car rear wing,

  6. @Hants

Good but pity Force India is not a force 🙂

Strange you did not mention Hamilton on pole, again.

  7. @David,

Lewis was brilliant today. Should be a good race tomorrow .

Force India starts 2nd on the grid and McLaren 3rd because of penalties to Nicoand Vettel.

  8. @ David,

Lewis just will not give in to Nico. Mercedes bosses not happy but this is competition not coronation.lol

    Great race..

  9. @Hants

As Toto stated it could have been two DNFs because of stupidity.

  10. They are still showing the collision on TV and all the commentators say Nico made a mistake and tried to push Lewis off the track.

I can see clearly that Lewis left room for Nico and Nico just drove into Lewis.

I keep hoping that Ferrari or Red Bull would improve so Vettel and Ricciardo can put pressure on Mercedes.

  11. @Hants

The part of the review you should bite is that Nico did not even allow space for LH to return to track. Let us hope the do not penalize LH for overtaking on yellow.

  12. Have a close look at games in Trinidad between close friends Pollard and Bravo a pun is intended to ensure the playing field is level. Those who have ears to hear let them hear. Pollard picks his mediocre homeboys and washed up foreign imports over young proven all-rounders Holder the WI capt and Reifer.

A Trident line up to win is Hope, Taylor, Villiers, Shoab, Pollard, Pooran, Reifer, Holder, Peterson, Rampaul, and Hosien, Nurse or Parnell based on pitch conditions.

  13. Patrick Husbands BSS.

Rode 4 winners at woodbine today.

Too bad he didn’t have a good starting position (13 ) in the Queens plate.

  14. Sir Garfield

  15. Serena……….sweeeeeeeet!

    Serena and Venus. sweeeeeeeter!

  16. @Hants

    LH on pole😀

  17. Yes David. I watched practice and qualifying.

Lewis put in a stunning lap after the previous one was taken away from him for putting all 4 wheels over the white line.

I hope he and Nico play nice tomorrow.lol

  18. @Hants

The riot act was read to them by Toto.

  19. Hants,

Score two for the “apes”. All the haters were quiet on MSN today!

  20. Ramdin is very upset with his non-selection for the upcoming home series against India. He vented his full anger against new chairman of selectors, Courtney Browne.

He used Twitter to inform his fans about his non-selection for the upcoming home series against India and blamed new chairman of selectors Courtney Browne for the decision.

“What a rainy day, lil heads up for shotta 80 fans wouldn’t be playin in test series vs india. new chairman says my avg isn’t Gud,” he tweeted.

“Last 2 innings over 60 vs Australia down under but not good to play anymore.”

“Life goes on man God is great, what I haven’t done in my test career for sure was dropping any batsman to score double hundred vs WI.”

“Man who’s telling my average is bad with 25.87 but his is 16 telling me about batting an has never scored international hundred shameless.”

Perhaps Ramdin is also implying that WI coach Phil Simmons’ test average of 22.26 does not qualify him to coach the team, especially Darren Bravo [41.50]; Marlon Samuels [33.53] or even Kraigg Brathwaite [34.40].

As usual, many of those commenting on Cricinfo have accused Browne of dropping Ramdin in favour of mediocre Barbadian cricketers, trying to rid the team of Trinidadians and insularity, while alluding to his test average.

Similar sentiments were also expressed when former coach Ottis Gibson dared to say the senior players did not perform during Cricket World Cup 2011. He was subsequently verbally abused publicly by Gayle and Sarwan.

Gibson’s critics also took issue with the fact that after playing only two tests for the WI, he had no right to criticize Gayle, Sarwan and Chanderpaul.

  21. Why do West Indies groundsmen prepare flat tracks ?

    India 302 / 4 on day one.

  22. @Hants

Are they able to do better? Is it about the soil?

  23. @ David…..lol

  24. West Indies are a very generous cricket team.India 404 for 4 wickets. Kohli is 200 no at lunch.

Will he get to 300……or more?

  25. @ David,

Nico on pole Lewis unlucky to be second.

“The world championship leader says he isn’t expecting to run into any problems with the stewards despite setting the fastest time of any driver during the second sector of the Hungaroring circuit despite passing warning flags for the stricken McLaren of Fernando Alonso in the process.”

Should be a good race tomorrow.

  26. @Hants

Yes, LH was unlucky on the last lap when yellow appeared. NS gained the advantage from behind.

    >

  27. This is sad.

“Sada Williams of Barbados, the world leader at 22.61 an medal favourite, tumbled to track just beyond the bend’s halfway point, and didn’t finish.”

  28. Live programme on the BBC – RIGHT NOW – on Sir Garfield Sobers.

  29. Rather, National Hero Rt Excellent Sir Garfield Sobers argues that many of the people holding cricket coaching certificates “know very little about the game”.

  30. @Hants

LH looking good so far through Q 1 and 2.

  31. @ David,

    Lewis wins.

Great start, well managed race. Definitely one of the best F1 drivers ever.

    Nico ?

  32. Yes Hants, don’t forget he has the best engine under the hood.

Nico was obviously tensed and it shows in his wheelspin at the start. Bottomline LH is the better driver, more instinctive.

  33. WIPA@wiplayers Aug 1

#OnThisDay in 1924, the legend Sir Frank Worrell was born.

He scored 3860 Test runs at an average of 49.48.

  34. It is all about T20 stuff!

GAME ON! Our World Champions to face India in two T20s in USA August 27 and 28 in Fort Lauderdale #WIvIND

  35. @ David,

Should be a success. T20 takes about the same time as a Baseball game.

    The youngsters like this format.

  36. Roston Chase 137 the first West Indian since Garry Sobers to score a hundred and take five wickets in the same Test.

    Jason Holder 64

Well done West Indies to earn a draw.

  37. India 98/4 (32.0 ov)
West Indies bowling well this session.

  38. Real real Test match in progress.

    India 353

    West Indies 107 for 1
