For every year Mia Mottley has been Prime Minister of Barbados, she has secured a major asset. She is a racketeer, interested only in getting all that she can for herself. Let the voters be aware.

Below are some of the contents of her treasure trove.

  1. Paradise – Four Seasons, the 32 acre site that was intended for luxury
    development.
  2. She has a substantial stake in The Hyatt hotel, no wonder Maloney was able to
secure a loan from the Afreximbank.
  3. 40 acres of Bannatyne Plantation (part of Kingsland Estates) Her brother Warren
deceased, was listed as one of the directors and now her other brother Stuart
has replaced him as one of the three directors. Hence the solar farms for
Bannatyne as well as Lower Estate have been “secured” by her.
  4. The Arawak cement plant which was converted to hotel.
  5. A new road building company which now has the lion share of the $260 Million
    of road works contracts.
  6. The hotel at Jemmott’s Lane under the guise of being owned by the junk bond
status Afrexim bank, that is why she gave away the public’s land valued at over
$200 Million for free. There are other properties as well including a plantation
house in St George and houses on the East Coast.

We have to be thankful that persons like NO still exists – who actually have respect for the PRINCIPLES of justice, transparency and fairness – EVEN IN ALBINO-CENTRIC transactions.
BU is truly blessed to have his contributions.

At the same time, it MUST be obvious that MULTIPLE other Bajans are privately AWARE of the wickedness that goes on in high places – even if they are shit-scared to face it, or even if they are COMPLICIT… and part of the problem.

So if you have a society where large numbers are aware of the rot beneath the surface, and where this is widely discussed in whispers and winks…can you REALY be surprised that gang types are emboldened?

If matters can be made to disappear in the courts once certain persons have an interest, and corporations like Digicel and Flow can do as they like… and unexplained wealth is a common feature…

What do you think will restrain a badman on a block with fire in his eyes?

And PLEASE tell Bushie how someone with a beam in their own eyes will be able to admonish (seriously) a fellow with a mote in theirs?
“Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.”

It follows that we are WELL up shit street – Without a paddle.

    What a predicament!

I don’t waste time on rehashed one-sided, misinformed, innuendo-driven topics. You and others need to tell the whole story.

  3. “You and others need to tell the whole story.”

Are you SURE that this is what you REALLY want Enuff?
    LOL
Be careful, you may get your wish…

    These days are funny nights….

    Bushie
It is a very safe approach. For without information (reports) it’s all a guess. Nothing can be whole.
Even though I have commented on the NIS and CBL, I have never commented on their connection. Others have. With zero reports from either, it’s akin to throwing darts in the dark. And the pols and their supporters know this.
The intentional systematic failure to report, means even half stories, are void of information. It’s all a well orchestrated pappy show.

  5. @Enuff

You are saying what NO referenced is nonsense? Why is there the manufactured mystery around Clearwater Bay transaction? Even retired AG Leigh Trotman was also unable to unravel.

  6. Bushie

I don’t take you seriously boss. You didn’t think that people living in rural parts of Barbados were deserving of good roads, bridges, drainage etc. Stick to writing letters to the editor.

  7. David

I don’t know what NO referenced.

  8. LOL@ Enuff
Boss, you may not have the CAPACITY to take Bushie seriously… so no sweat there.

However, you need to be careful with you emotionally tainted interpretations of Bushie’s positions though, BU readers may start to draw conclusions about your gender.

Neither Bushie, or ANY OTHER rational BU blogger would argue ANYTHING OTHER than, ‘that people living in rural parts of Barbados were deserving of good roads, bridges, drainage etc’… on the contrary..

The fact that IN YOUR MIND, such infrastructure requires Chinese funding, design, management and even labour – is an inditement of YOUR political mendicancy,…not stinking Bushie’s… Cause Bushie has GREAT FAITH in the capacity of Bajans to do outstanding work when given a FAIR opportunity.

NO faith however in the lotta political JUDASES, who are for sale to the highest international bidders.

  9. @Bush Tea

The mentality of the government and #RISE have something in common?

No capacity? You mean no time!! Bullshitting Bushie who thought fixing roads across rural Barbados was a waste of money. Where the other garrulous one Miller, your partner? Remember he tried with me too? I am not the one! Y’all know everything about nothing but convinced y’all know everything bout everything. Pure jokes whenever I peep in the echo chamber.

  12. Alas! I just saw yet another dig at us women from the misogynist in chief.

Why would someone question Enuff’s gender because he made a stupid, misleading statement?

This with the barage of stupidly misleading statements made by many, many men, every day, all day, everywhere in the world, in plain view of us all. This with Donald Trump, the Macho Macho Man, on daily display!

I think that part of Bush Tea’s reply to Enuff was just as stupid as Enuff’s. But I see no need to question his gender. Because I know that both genders can be extremely stupid and misleading.

Make misogyny make sense! You CAN’T!

  13. @Enuff

You need to ask your PM a question. What does she think her legacy will be with the current crime trajectory?

  14. @ David

Don’t know if you saw last night’s CBC News, but Wilfred Abrahams spoke about the work permits and absurdity of a permit application for an ‘Office Assistant.’

  15. Abraham said that it can be justified in cases where we employ so many foreigners that it makes sense to employ foreign ‘support staff’ – who understands the various imported cultures.

So we will need Chinese HR managers and clerks for infrastructure projects, Trinidadian and Canadian bank managers, accountants, head tellers, HR staff etc, Indian moderators on Brass Tacks, English, Canadian and American managers, chefs, housekeepers etc in the hotels etc.

Of course we will NEED foreign auditors for ALL these entities, since audit reporting is a dead practice among local auditors – with the retirement of our last practitioner, ‘Trotty’.

    Bushie’s question is this…
At what point will we be FORCED to turn to foreign politicians – who understand the MEANING of culture and who actually come with a modicum of COMMON SENSE…?

    Will it be when:
    – the useless political JAs recognize their incompetence?
    – we wake up and find that WE ARE THE FOREIGNERS in our former fields and hills?
    – the NEW imports make US apply for work permits – to be clerks and porters?
    – or when the igrunt BB young people decide that Enuff shiite is Enuff?

    What a lack of vision!
(…and where there is no vision….)
    What a place!
    What an ANTI-MIDAS touch! …EVERYTHING he touches….

  16. I think he was speaking mainly about the large Chinese construction projects. Mandarin Chinese is not easy to learn or speak. My son is learning it. Probably not a lot of people in Barbados who are fluent.

  17. ” Farmers in Spencer’s, Christ Church, said Tuesday they were at breaking point after thieves made off with more than $2 000 in produce, including over 1 000 pounds of squash and an entire crop of watermelons.

The brazen act of theft has left the farmer—who asked not to be identified—and his neighbours demoralised and frustrated.”

  18. I was a bit more interested in Abrahams comments about a business applying for a work permit for an ‘Office Assistant,’ after CLAIMING they did not receive any suitable applications for the position, than the shiite talk about Chinese construction workers and requiring a H.R manager who speaks mandarin.

The minister also said, “we have a highly trained workforce in Barbados.”

Perhaps he should also explain why, Barbados having a hospitality institute that offers associate degree programmes in Hospitality Studies, Culinary Arts, and Tourism & Travel, and UWI offering both BSc and MSc degrees in tourism management……

…… luxury hotels such as Sandy Lane and Royal Pavillion ALWAYS SEEM UNABLE to RECEIVE SUITABLE APPLICATIONS for management vacancies they advertise, while it appears as though waiter, cashier, security, pool & beach, gardens, maintenance, housekeeping and bellman jobs are specially reserved for Barbadians.

A few years ago, Sandy Lane advertised for an engineer who must be fluent in Spanish, and subsequently gave notice of their intension to apply for a work permit for a non-national to fill the position, because they did not receive any suitable applications.

A Puerto Rican already had the job, and that entire process was simply a formality.

  19. @Artax

Heard him in another place. It is good he felt the need to clarify for the public he serves.

  20. @Artax

This office assistant is a low hanging fruit example useful for PR purposes re: Abrabrams.
