Dear Fellow Citizens:

During my second year at Combermere School, a lunch-time game was organised by students, where one boy would chase the other boys in the class around the school. If he caught one, he would lash him once and that boy would join him in hunting the others. If they caught another boy, then both would lash him, and he would join in the hunt.

Eventually, there were only two boys left to be caught. I was the smallest and slowest boy in the class – because I was the youngest by up to 2 years. But I evaded capture by sharply changing direction when chased – a frustrating tactic for the chaser.

LAST BOY STANDING.

I was eventually caught, and my initiation into the hunter group resembled a gang beat-down. Those recently initiated now had an opportunity to be on the giving end – and they did not hold back. Once initiated, I had to join the hunt for the last boy.

Unlike me, he was genuinely fast. He should be rewarded for being the last boy on the run. But instead, he would receive the greatest punishment. He was inevitably caught. As the previous last person caught, I was to deliver the final lash as others held him.

He looked at me. A few minutes ago, we were on the same side. I gently touched his back, and I saw an expression – gratitude, something I was not given the opportunity to express when I was in that position.

THE WAY OF FAIRNESS.

Combermere is the way of fairness. Sometime during that game, I think that many of us understood that the game was unfair. But being caught up in the game, we unthinkingly acted our assigned roles. To my knowledge, that game was never played again during my time at Combermere School. That was 45 years ago.

Last week, I took an antibody test to see whether I unknowingly had COVID-19. The test was negative, so I am still on the run. I follow the sanitary protocols, and they have worked. However, I feel that I am not only being chased by COVIOD-19, but you, the Vaxxed.

OPEN PERSECUTION.

Twice in the past 4 months, I was denied work opportunities – I was told that it was because I was not vaccinated. As a senior Structural Engineer, I am fortunate to have options. But others in this unVaxxed group do not. I see others in this group being threatened with employment termination, having their freedoms restricted, and losing opportunities for career advancement. What gives you the right to do this?

Once you achieve your aim of 70% injected, are the remaining 30% to be permanently unemployed, or undesirable and untouchable outcasts? Have you thought this thing through?

The unVaxxed are now being accused of being unChristian for not getting the injection. They are being accused of not caring about Barbadian children who are too young to be vaccinated. How dare you? I mean HOW DARE YOU!

A TRUCE.

Last week, I wondered what would have happened if those who had not been caught, simply refused to play the game until the rules were changed. Why should those who are doing everything right, be punished for their success? But 45 years ago, we were hunted, scattered, and divided. Last week, I realised that we do not have to be.

I am asking for a truce – an end to: the hostile threats, the denying of work and employment opportunities, the discrimination, and the despicable accusations. I am calling for a truce.

The world is going crazy, and we have little influence on what other countries do. But we can discuss how we can exist together, during this pandemic, on this island we call our home. So far, the rules have been written by the Vaxxed and exclusively for the Vaxxed – is that fair?

SOLUTIONS BARBADOS.

So why should you listen to me? I think that I have some standing. Of the 9 political parties who contested the last General Election, Solutions Barbados got the third highest votes cast, at 5,842. To put that number in context, it represents over 5% of the total votes cast, which proportionally would represent approximately two seats in the House of Assembly on our first outing.

Solutions Barbados candidates generally spent less than 3% of what the BLP or DLP candidates spent. I spent about 2% of what the BLP candidate spent. Despite that, outside of the BLP and DLP, I received the most votes cast of any candidate from the other 7 parties.

LET US REASON TOGETHER.

So, on that basis, I am calling for a truce. Perhaps Mr David Ellis may moderate an honest discussion on how we can move forward united on this matter. To help you empathise, consider the following hypothetical situation.

Suppose the WHO claimed that a new variant made the Vaxxed a danger to society. Would you want the unVaxxed to treat you like how you are treating them? Would you want the unVaxxed to put you in isolation concentration camps? Would you want the unVaxxed to stop you from working, earning, playing, or going to school? Would you want the unVaxxed to take away your unVaxxed children because you were a potential danger to them?

THE RULES.

We are being deceived into treating each other as enemies. We are not. We are your fellow: classmates, workmates, congregants, family members, and citizens. We were recently on the same team where our common enemy was COVID-19. Now, more of you are behaving like hunters – and every week, I am feeling more like the hunted.

I am asking for an honest discussion of the rules. To facilitate this honesty, it should include what should happen if the Vaxxed are later found to be a danger to Barbados. That may seem like an unlikely nightmare scenario – but the unVaxxed are currently living your nightmare.

  1. Side note
    @🐇1:57
I saw a video with a young man slapping an older man’s head for fun.

I am determined to return to one of the islands in 2022, The abuse that you described made me even more determined to get a registered gun when I get there.

    Too old to get licks.

  2. Just last night I was watching a young kid full of determination to beat a man who could be his grandfather or older.

Older heads were telling the young man
    “This could be your grandfather”
    “Give the elder some respect”

But the lad would not listen and beat the old guy, but when the young man turned his head someone gave the young man a sucker punch and knocked him out for a few seconds.

If they cannot teach their kids respect and to leave the elderly alone… they will end up burying them…

They better figure out that mad Americans exist in the same way mad English returnees exist.

What is funny is that I do not think it necessary to have a gun here. Go figure

🐇, Without intending to, you have stirred me up.

  3. @ TheOGazerts,

You could also get a couple dogs. If you can afford to retire in the islands you can afford security. lol

  5. RE I read through his stream of consciousness and observe that he hasn’t taken the vaccine, but he doesn’t articulate why he has chosen not to take the jab, so I am led to conclude as Kareem Abdul Jabbar writes that he is among those who choose to be “voluntary ignorant”

BIG NONSECQUITUR BY THE ST DAVID’S JACK ASS
WHY DOES ANYONE HAVE TO “‘ÄRTICULATE’””WHETHER OR NOT THEY HAVE TAKEN THE VACCINE?

ONLY A JACKASS CONCLUDES THAT BECAUSE A PERSON DOES NOT “‘ÄRTICULATE’””WHETHER OR NOT THEY HAVE TAKEN THE VACCINE THAT THAT PERSON IS IGNORANT IN ANY WAY, SINCE THERE IS NO ASSOCIATION WITH IGNORANCE AND TAKING OR NOT TKING A VACCINE

RE Recently BU “David” wrote that David Ellis is unable to reach the “boys on the block”, I have news for BU “David” he won’t reach some who think that they are smarter than everyone, who flaunt their educational achievement and who believe their research skills are second to none but the only studies that they have any respect for are those that coincides with their beliefs.

JACKASS THE ONE THAT YOU SAY THAT THINKS THAT THEY ARE smarter than everyone, IS ACTUALLY SMARTER THAN YOU, UH LIE? YA DUMMY

THE ONE THAT YOU SAY THAT flaunt their educational achievement HAS A RIGHT TO DO SO, DUMMY, DONT YOU FLAUNT YOUR IGNORANCE? WHICH IS BETTER? YOUR IGNORANCE OR HIS educational achievement? IS HE TO BLAME BECAUSE YOU WASTED YOUR TIME AT BFS AS I DID AT HC?

THE ONE THAT YOU SAY THAT believe their research skills are second to none HAS AT LEAST INDICATED THAT THEY HAVE RESEARCH SKILLS AND AT LEAST SHOWN THAT THEY AT LEAST HAVE AN ACQUAINTANCE WITH THE SCIENTIFIC METTHOD. THAT IS BETTER THAN SLIMEY PULL DOWN SCUM LIKE YOU WHO ONLY CUT AND PASTE FROM INFO THAT YOU CLEARLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND. UH LIE?

JACKASS THE ONE THAT YOU SAY THAT ONLY HAS any respect for REPORTS that coincides with their beliefs HAS ACTUALLY BROUGHT REPORTS THAT ACCORDS WELL WITH REPORTS REPORTED IN SEVERAL PLACES BY RENOWNED SCIENTISTS INDICATING THAT THE MAN WHOSE ABILITY THAT YOU SCORN IN YOUR ABUNDANT IGNORANCE, DOES HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IT IS THAT HE HAS REPORTED.

BUT I THANK YOU FOR THE MIRTH YOU HAVE PROVIDED THIS AFTERNOON ON MY LOOKING IN ON BU ACTIVITY.

YOU MAY NOW CONTINUE YOU TO BRAY AS YOU SHOW THAT YOU ARE AKIN TO, BUT EVEN LESS COMPETENT IN YOUR REASONIING , LOGIC AND CEREBRATION THAN EVEN BALLAM’S ASS THAT SPOKE AS RECORDED IN THE INCIDENT IN NUMBERS.

I SALUTE YOU, HOWEVER, YOU HAVE INDEED EARNED YOUR RANK AMONGST THOSE OF YOUR ILK AND CLASS. MAY I REMIND YOU THAT THE MAN YOU SOUGHT TO MOCK WAS TOP OF HIS CLASS TOO—HE WON THE COVETED AWARD NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE.

BUT YOU, AS IT IS WRITTEN, IN TRYING TO INDICATE THAT YOU ARE WISE, YOU HAVE SHOWN CONCLUSIVELY THAT YOU ARE REALLY JUST A FOOL.

My wife wants to go home. She has never wanted to be here, but she stayed here with me.

Running back to the islands is not my first choice, but it’s my turn to compromise.

When that skunk was in the office, it was an easier decision, but now I am going back to … I rather be ….

My only delight is the thought of hooking up with a vaccine procurer

  7. Oh! Oh!

  8. If you have gangs you will have gang children. Gang members do procreate.

I sent my son to serious martial arts classes from the age of six in preparation for these violent children.

Best money I ever spent! They soon realised their mistake.

And if any teacher or principal had punished my child for defending himself they would not have been happy with the outcome.

Luckily, the principals and teachers at Deighton Griffith were all smarter than that.

  10. Pfizer CEO says yearly booster is ‘most likely scenario’ for COVID vaccine
    By
    Staff Writers
    on
    September 28, 2021

Pfizer CEO Dr. Albert Bourla said during an ABC “This Week” interview on Sunday that the most likely scenario to stop the spread of COVID-19 will be an annual “revaccination.”

“I think the answer is to give both boosters and doses to other people. This is why we have invested so hard and pushed our scientists and engineers to work so hard to produce enough doses for all,” Bourla said.

“Moderna’s CEO said that the pandemic is on course to be over in about a year. Do you agree with that?” Stephanopoulos asked.

“I agree that within a year, I think we will be able to come back to normal life. I don’t think that this means that variants will not continue coming. I don’t think that this means that we should be able to live our lives without having vaccinations basically, but that again remains to be seen,” Bourla replied.

“The most likely scenario for me, it is because the virus has spread all over the world, that we will continue seeing new variants that are coming out, and also we will have vaccines that will last at least a year. I think the most likely scenario is annual revaccinations, but we need to wait and see the data,” Bourla added.

The news follows the FDA turning down recommendations for a third booster shot for most Americans.

The report also comes as a concern to many Americans who see COVID-19 as a never-ending issue, as well as concerns regarding a vaccine that is taken repeatedly.

  11. In my stream of consciousness, you may not need a vaccination or a booster!!

ID cards show Haitian migrants were Chilean refugees
    By Staff Writers on
    September 27, 2021

Several of the Haitian migrants who stayed under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas, held refugee status in Chile according to abandoned ID cards.

“Chilean ID’s littered all over on the Mexican side in Ciudad Acuna. The majority of the Haitian migrants have been living in Chile for years and have even been given refugee status,” Jorge Ventura tweeted.
It is unclear how many of the migrants were refugees in Chile, though images have surfaced of at least several IDs.

“Under U.S. immigration law, individuals are not eligible for refugee status if they are ‘firmly resettled in a third country.’ Large numbers of Haitian migrants are likely ineligible for refugee status in the U.S. because they already received refugee status in Chile,” the Daily Caller reported.

More than 15,000 migrants were reported in Del Rio at the camp’s peak. The Biden administration claimed it was deporting migrants back to Haiti, but fewer than 2,000 were reported deported.

It is unclear where the remaining migrants are being settled, though most were covered in Biden’s catch and release process, given notice to appear within 60 days and then released.

The scene revealed how Biden’s open border policies have led to many people seeking to cross the border and how little is being done to deport those who actually do cross.

  13. The doctor was apoplectic about me not being vaccinated.

I decided when the vaccinations started to give it a year and use the time figuring out from the empirical evidence available what the best solution was.

No way I am ever going to be any microbiologist at this stage of the game but having made a life of solving problems I decided to give this a go using my tried and tested principles.

So we, (the doctor and I) parted company agreeing to disagree.

He has done what he believed to be right and given me his best advice.

    It is at me now!!

Come early next year I will review my position.

So I got 3-4 months to get the GOB around to my way of thinking and convince the doctor there is a better way!!

Slowly but surely the trends are showing

number of unvaccinated is becoming a smaller minority
    +
number of Covid deaths for unvaccinated is becoming a larger majority

Covid will soon become an unvaccinated pandemic

  35. Meanwhile in Taiwan, zero LOCAL cases are being reported.

    https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en/news/4297834

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) on Sunday (Sept. 26) announced zero local COVID-19 cases and eight imported ones, marking the second consecutive day of zero local cases.

The center said the eight new imported cases include two males and six females between the ages of 10 and 50.

Between Sept. 2 and 24, six of them arrived from Myanmar, one from the United Arab Emirates, and another from Indonesia. All had tested negative for the disease within three days of their departure.

No new deaths were reported on Sunday.

Taiwan has so far reported 16,189 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 841 people in the country have succumbed to the disease.

We need to try early treatment using known drugs other doctors and countries have been using with some success and stop waiting for the perfect study proving the perfect solution.”

But you want a strategy of anti-parisitic drugs, while you wait for a perfect vaccine to be introduced.

  41. @Tee White September 28, 2021 10:43 AM ” Wouldn’t it make more sense to focus our protection on those in the at risk group?”

And is the “at risk’ group determined? And since the pandemic started have there been any changes to those considered “at risk”

We lost a 51 year old father of a teen boy last week. We lost a 47 year old woman this week? The lost of a parent is DEVASTING for a child. NOBODY can refute this.

A young friend of mine lost 2 Caribbean friends this month. Both were well educated professionals under the age of 40. One left multiple children behind, including a new born.

The truth is if those formerly considered at risk, that is the elderly and those with comorbidities have mostly been vaccinated or have already died, then the viruses will move to younger people, and when they have finished with the 30 somethings, then they will move to the 20 somethings, and when they are finished with the 20 somethings, those viruses won’t lay down and play dead, they it will move to our children and our grandchildren.

Perhaps they already have. If vaccine acceptance is not stepped up, then before Christmas we will be burying or cremating multiple of our children and grandchildren.

    I say so.

  42. Believe me if wunna think that the loss of a job, a mortgage, a car is hard. Wait till some of we suffer the loss of a child or grandchild.

Wait until we suffer the lost of our adult children and then find ourselves in our 60’s and 70’s struggling to raise multiple orphaned grandchildren.

    Try those things for difficulty.

It has never been about the tourist industry.

It has always been about saving lives, especially the lives of our productive young adults, or the lives of our grandchildren.

If Granville’s wife should died of Covid, if his adult children die of Covid and leave him with multiple grandchildren to raise almost certainly he would be singing a completely different tune.

But other men have lost their wives. Other people’s children have lost their parents.

    Where is our compassion?

  43. We want solutions, not necessary SOLUTIONS the party, but real honest to God solutions.

“Cases are spiking, have not leveled off yet and you are pursuing a vaccination everybody strategy doomed to failure as your primary solution. Reason being current vaccines take at least 6 weeks to reach maximum effect so even if we were able to vaccinate everyone today, we will not slow anything.”

“We need to try early treatment using known drugs other doctors and countries have been using with some success and stop waiting for the perfect study proving the perfect solution. We have nothing to lose and lives to save.”

If you think that taking any drug once a day that is eliminated by the liver and kidneys daily is better that taking a two dose vaccine that leads to a minimum 6 months long acquired immunity then you are a COVIDIOT of the HIGHEST ORDER. It is good that Big Pharma, CDC, FDA etc. has figured this out and not run by jackasses like you.
. It is not that drugs can never work it is that viable vaccines are far better. Using HIV as an example a viable vaccine has not been found so drugs were resorted to. AZT was the first viable one but had significant side effects. It took a few more decades to find “safer” drugs WHICH TOOK SPECIFIC CLINICAL TRIALS TO BE APPROVED

  48. Cases are spiking among the unvaccinated not the vaccinated. The full effect does take 6 weeks but does offer some protection while achieving full protection. I agree why would you take some drug that has had no clinical trials or in fact, have proven to be ineffective and in some cases harmful. Grenville is playing the devil’s advocate, however in doing so he is jeopardizing the health and possible life of his fellow citizens. Vaccines save lives, it has been proven that it slows and mitigates the results of contracting COVID. Barbadians are vaccine reluctant and by questioning vaccination with spurious theories you are causing more ill than good!
