A sign of the nature of these times is the imposition of a new etymology. Whether it is ‘woke-ism’, on the one side, or ‘cancel culture’, on the other, the willful misguidance is no less profound. “Whiteness” is generally defined as being a political construction, a fiction.

In this piece we will attempt to tease out, or even capture, an ‘ahistorical’ moment where a faux progressivism pretends to confront long-held establishment lies, wickedness – across the board.

This convergence of interests should properly be the province of academia and particularly those from the Frankfurt School of critical social theory. Unfortunately though, It has long-failed to help us rethink or reform the social critiques of Marxism, as they had promised, even as Marx gave the ‘soft touch’ to racism and slavery; has not led to the rejection of mainstream political views; its tepid criticisms of capitalism have made it no less vicious; there has been no substantive ‘liberation’ of humanoids anywhere; while domination and exploitation continue at an algorithmic pace.

Some, with rightness, may suggest that woke-ism is deeply culturally bound. Others are reticent to jettison certain unrealities. Others are entrenched in the misbelief, or fear, that there will be some meeting of the minds at a point of moderation. Yet others wrongly look to this divine age of technological innovation to deliver mankind. In reality they intend that establishment systems should only be tinkered with on the margins if at all, but never radically transformed, far less prevent the new formations of the old systems of subjugation now reemerging as more virulent manifestations of technological oppression.

It is however clear that the perceived meanings of woke-ism and ‘Whiteness’ can never comfortably coexisted. For the first is predicated on the existence of what is real, presumably, while the other is entirely based on a deep and wide culture of unreality. An unreality not based within the longer evolution of humanoids.

Those who suggested that the removal of Horatio Nelson from the top of Broad Street was an attempt to ‘cancel’ their ‘culture’ are ideologically well-connected to the Proud Boys and other White supremacist forces in the United States of America, and elsewhere. We include Black lackeys in high places, like ‘a Johnny’ Muh Boy as the quintessentially modern-day house niggers! But still, its mere removal only flirts with the symbolic. The same is true about removals from landscapes elsewhere as well.

And for the lack of historical memory, eminently demonstrated by many on the side of Black Lives Matter, prevents a better understanding of their own arguments. This requires, amongst other things, taking a hard look at the ways in which that movement has been appropriated, internally and externally, by a wide range of interests included the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States of America, no less. It’s a ‘crying shame’ that even the marketing and recruitment of CIA agents, as an historically racist organization, have now fully appropriated wokeness.

There was a time when ‘whiteness’ meant something entirely different. It denoted somebody who was spiritual. It had nothing to do with pigmentation or ‘pinkness’. At that time all the ‘white’ people were Black, there was nobody else around.

But etymology is a linguistic bitch. People who argue that others seek to cancel their culture are ignorantly doubling-down on all the crimes committed in the name of the political construction which is Whiteness as if seeking to eternally be in a march to war against 90% of Earth’s peoples.

When those who represent ‘Whiteness’ talk about the cancellation of culture, or the irrational moderation of just demands, a level of credibility should be brought to the table based on the real and continuing cancelling which White people and their agents have committed for millennia. In the absence of such an accounting there can be no legitimate claims to a genocidal culture still being constructed and maintained on the bones of others.

  1. I think the question we have to ask as Black people, is how do we regain the respectability, we once held prior to the Transatlantic Slave Trade? Because prior to the Transatlantic Slave Trade the Race of Black was looked upon favorably, but as the European Chattel Slavery started to developed, racist literature started to emerged characterizing the Race of Black in the most animalistic of terms.

  2. So dompey you are saying that no slavery existed in africa before you went international? I dont think thats is what this article is about anyway this is just another feel good article where the usual suspects will batter the white man for his evil ways until the bars open or they find that lost domino.
You want respectability get up and go to work especially if you dont have to, give your kids somebody to look up to that is all the respect you should need but if you are craving more. Help in your community Give a hand to those around you empower them, when they succeed you succeed. Finally read a book not written by marvel.

    Pacha… thank you.

“Others are entrenched in the misbelief, or fear, that there will be some meeting of the minds at a point of moderation. ”

NEVER going to happen…MLK came to that realization, it has to be handled another way by the ANOINTED of the earth.

“Because prior to the Transatlantic Slave Trade the Race of Black was looked upon favorably”

Dompey please…WE ARE THE ORIGINAL RULERS OF THE EARTH…the CUSTODIANS…. we DON’T need anyone to look upon us favorably or otherwise….we are the SPIRITUALLY CHOSEN…we do not need permission or approval from anyone, watch the damn video..

we lost all of it because of TRAITORS from both sides of the aisle…it’s just a matter of TAKING BACK what is ours, respectability and all or just sit posting shit indefinitely.

  4. The challenges Black people have to penetrate as a collective into the so-called establishment to be a difference has its genesis in physical slavery but it has been compounded since how global culture has penetrated via travel, Internet, TV, how we solicit formal education etc. The fact we now have mixed ancestry etc. Our leaders have a responsibility to create a climate our people are exposed to our history etc, this can be done how we educate our people, we have been drifting in delivering on this important responsibility.

  5. WURA-War-on-U Avatar

The answers were seen over 50 years ago…..STOP voting for TRAITORS…they are your JAILERS.

“In the first place, the rulers of neo-colonial States derive their authority to govern, not from the will of the people, but from the support which they obtain from their neo-colonialist masters. They have therefore little interest in developing education, strengthening the bargaining power of their workers employed by expatriate firms, or indeed of taking any step which would challenge the colonial pattern of commerce and industry, which it is the object of neo-colonialism to preserve. ‘Aid’, therefore, to a neo-colonial State is merely a revolving credit, paid by the neo-colonial master, passing through the neo-colonial State and returning to the neo-colonial master in the form of increased profits.” Nkhrumah

Yes slavery existed on the African continent prior to European Chattel Slavery, but not of the making of the Native African.
It was imposed on the Native African by Islam, but not on the scale of the European.

  8. WOKE-ISM AND THE WHITENESS OF CANCEL CULTURE
In this piece we will attempt to tease out, or even capture, an ‘ahistorical’ moment where a faux progressivism pretends to confront long-held establishment lies, wickedness – across the board.

Wokeness and Cancel cancel are part of the propaganda wars in western hemisphere by babylon’s finest spies and biased media.

I have to confess that I started all of this nonsense by posting the following videos from the new negroes soundtrack which blew the white boys minds and put them on the back foot and in defence mode
    Woke as Me

    Racism 2.0

White folks have traced the term “woke” to jazz artists but my own definition of woke is “enlightenment” or “spiritual awakening” as per buddhism and internal practises of meditation etc.

White folks are paro about becoming a minority in Amerikkka as they think black folks will discriminate against them like in Planet of Apes original movie. The experiment of impregnating slaves in Americas has given black children with nappy hair and in Europe it has given over a longer time it has given white jews with jewfros and gypsies who worship black madonna. American land belongs to the native Americans who are are more like reddish brown skinned indigenous South American tribes and may be related to Asian Indians down the line.

The Cancel Culture was another trope against Rightwing speakers in University, which has been highjacked to say cancelling Racist teachers and speakers is a breach freedom of speech or 1st amendment rights.

  9. Lawson

Claudette Williams, wrote a very excellent book called Charcoal and Cinnamon: The Politics of Color in the Spanish Caribbean literature, where she meticulously chronicled the progressive denigration of the African Identity during and after European Chattel Slavery.

  10. 555dubstreet

How is it possible that White Americans harbor an irrational fear that Black Americans will surpassed them in numbers, and do to them, as they have done to us, when White Americans make up 70% of the American population, Hispanics 15% and African Americans 13% of the population?

Now I cannot seem to follow your kind of logic, with respect to the irrational fear you claimed White Americans harbor about Blacks in America?

  11. I also put the following memes into public domain which went viral

O Bush Blair and USA UK are warmongers
O Trump is orange like Tango
O Scotland needs to determine if there is a consensus Scottish Independence which led to Scottish and Brexit Referendumbs
O Obama should become centrist after he got shellacked in mid-terms

there are many more tropes that I started which I cannot recall right now

  12. Donkey
Don’t you speak to whites in Amerikkka where you allegedly dwell son
Keeping the race white is basic tenet of Ku Klux Klan and Eugenics movements
They have a deep rooted fear of brown skinned latinos speaking spanish and becoming part of a non-white majority
The US white majority will soon disappear

  13. 555dubstreet

The paradigmatic shift in the American demographics with respect to Hispanics and African Americans, is indicative of the fact that African Americans are having less children and Hispanics are having more, so this supposedly, irrational fear harbor by White Americans regarding African Americans surpassing them is an idealist dream.

  14. “The fact we now have mixed ancestry etc.”

which box do you tick on question of ethnicity

    ❎ White.
    ❎ Hispanic or Latino.
    ❎ Black or African American.
❎ Native American or American Indian.
    ❎ Asian / Pacific Islander.
    ❎ Other.

    ☑ Prefer not to say

  15. White Americans regarding African Americans surpassing them is an idealist dream.

Their fear is about all coloureds or non-whites becoming a majority

so don’t worry your little mind about misspeaking about blacks for coloured

in days of segregation it was whites and coloureds written on the signs of waiting rooms toilets drinking fountains shops businesses laundries schools beaching swimming pools etc etc

  16. The problem with some of you, you see black and white. It is a more complicated and complex issue. How we are being socialized and the enculturation that has taken place to date and continues. The interdependent nature of how we exist- education, travel, decisions that we make based on current state of affairs etc. we have individuals on the fringes who understand where they want to fit in, the challenge is how do we make that difference for the collective.

  17. 555dubstreet

Go back and do your research because Eugenics was first used on the Eastern Europeans to keep the White race free of the of mental and physical deformities. Moreover, this form of Eugenics practiced during the wave of the Eastern European immigration through Ellis Island in the early 1900s.

  18. “The problem with some of you, you see black and white. It is a more complicated and complex issue. How we are being socialized and the enculturation that has taken place to date and continues. one driver that may determine the deciding factor of people’s position on perspective of where they belong is
    discrimination

    another may be
    wealth or standard of life

I will use the philosophy, vision and ideology of two men who saw the road forward for the ANC from different angles of vision, to make my point regarding the push forward to address this racial divide between Black and White.

Now I believe that the push forward to address the racial polarization between White and Black, must be approach with the same kind of inclusive vision Nelson Mandela held for ANC and South Africa.

Nelson Mandela, believe as I do today, that the way forward for South Africa and the harmony between White and Black, must included Black, White, Indian and Colors, but Stephen Biko, believed as some do here today, that Black and Black exclusively, must be the ones to determine their own destiny, and no outside elements must be allowed into help solved the problem of our racial disharmony.

Kiki, does that “fear” exist primarily in Europe and the USA or is it a fear on the ‘global’ scale?

Whites are already outnumbered, significantly, at the global level.

Just do a population count of the various Chinese and East Indian ethnic groups found right across the globe.

Blacks or people of African descent represent a minority on the global scale of population numbers.

  26. Miller

The Valeriepieris circle shows that half the world’s population exist is a small circle about 4,000 Km in radius centred around South China Seas. The world’s wealth is concentrated in western nation’s though. Asians are largest demographics, Blacks are second. Afroasiatic Unity is the white man’s biggest fear as is white women making babies with black and brown.

Your timeline is slightly off course.

How about the sub-Saharan Africans especially the Pygmies who were viewed as ‘evolutionary’ inferior to the European man and displayed in human zoos in some Western European cities and the USA to ‘demonstrate’ the missing link between the chimpanzee and human.

Have you ever heard about the Hottentot Venus or Ota Benga?

    Proof of what Nkhrumah said.

useless colonial governments have no respect for the rights of Black workers, they will legislate to allow thieving employers from outside the country to get away with the responsibilities of paying workers and government itself refuses to pay workders…..let the FAKE, fake news department call this fake news.

“For the second time in about three weeks, former hotel workers came together to protest about the money they are owed.

From around 9:30 a.m., close to 20 workers from Accra Beach Hotel and the Hilton Barbados Resort, took up placards and picketed by the entrance of the latter at Needhams Point, St Michael.

Many of the disgruntled staff who worked in administration, housekeeping and maintenance, said despite assurances from authorities, they still have not received any compensation since they were sent home last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

  31. Lawson

Yes the German Nazi doctor Mengele, preformed the majority of his experiments of Jewish twins, but I haven’t heard of any kind of Eugenics, being or had been performed on Black people.

  34. Lawson

And by the way doctor Mengele lived to an advanced age in one of the South American countries, after what he had done to countless number Jewish children. As a matter of fact, Mengele, lived a relatively good life, and died of a heart attack at the beach one afternoon, and this left many devout Jews to question the existence of God.

    @David, of course its COMPLICATED…..

So how can we continue to so facilely speak of “The challenges Black people have to penetrate as a collective…?”

That singularity of similar pigmentation does NOT define our ideology, politics, social beliefs or any other personal/psychological trait and as such there is really no ‘collective’ … unless and until a gun (danger) is pointed at our head by a racist white hand (establishment persona).

The dynamics of slavery obviously sets a theme of the powerful over the powerless enslaved …. but just as naturally history (Biblical dogma, no less) has boldly shown how those previously captive and subservient have integrated to society and risen to positions of absolute power…

If we are honest we can see that the ‘collective’ is truly a figment of power wielded as needed to bash in one establishment structure merely to install another … it works well … until it doesnt!

.And further honesty jettisons the concept that “our leaders have a responsibility to create a climate our people are exposed to our history etc,”.

How MUCH more do we need to be led to another river of knowledge for water ??? … when we are bathed endlessly from the massive waterfall called the internet!!

We can drink as much as we want, good sir!

The only “drift” I can see is our mindless efforts to mimic the behaviours and practices of out white brethren : we want their straight hair (and spend endlessly in salons for it), we want their skins tones (and spend more for that too); we want their power over others (and we gyrate corruptly to achieve that)…

In short too many want to be them in tone and practice … when we need to be unlike their wanton crassness ..

But that ain’t how human behaviour works ….

So let the fight continue. There is room for all of us …

  36. Lawson

And don’t think planned Parenthood make sense, given the exploration of the world population and decreasing world resources?

  37. WURA-War-on-U Avatar

Not knocking those who want to remain westernized, but you also have ancestral knowledge available, nothing wrong with having both, nothing wrong with making sure your future generations have both as well, since it’s so easy to re-enslave them, given the well spring of lack of information i would never sacrifice the future generations for those who are insular and believe what they have which is NOTHING…that is currently imploding within itself…is all there is…it’s a travesty.

There is no silver bullet action to create a panacea. There will always be tension. Today we witnessed in the so-called greatest democracy in the world Liz Cheney a woman booted out from a position because she dared to challenge the establishment.

  39. @Dompey a system of class slavery existed in West Africa similar to that of India. I believe that it is still evident to some extent in Nigeria where persons refers to their house help as for example “servant girl.” West African sold their slaves and persons captured on war but they had no idea of the what they were selling them into as chattel slavery did not exist in West Africa among the Africans.
Colonization the Arabs also led to a form of chattel slavery.

This book is therefore an attempt to examine neo-colonialism not only in its African context and its relation to African unity, but in world perspective. Neo-colonialism is by no means exclusively an
African question. Long before it was practised on any large scale in Africa it was an established system in other parts of the world. Nowhere has it proved successful, either in raising living standards or in ultimately benefiting countries which have indulged in it.” Kwame Nkrumah.

  44. @Heather

I think that system of class slavery, you have spoken of in Nigeria had it making in the Islamic slavery when the Mali Empire transported Islam to the western part of Africa, as well as Islamic Slavery. Yes Heather, I am cognisant of the class structure in Nigeria which consisted of the Royals, the Nobles, Commoners, and Slave classes.

I hope before I shed my earthly tabernacle and is laid out for public or private viewing, that my children get to live in a world were White, Black, Yellow, Red and Brown people, are able live in harmony and with the tolerance and understanding to love and appreciate the cultural, ethnic, and racial differences in the quest towards the utopian and egalitarian way of existence.
This is the vision Nelson Mandela held for South Africa, but a vision which hadn’t been realized during his life time, but a vision nonetheless, achievable with the right kind of effort and determination, I believe.

  48. Heather

After Nelson Mandela conviction and imprisonment, Steve Biko led the youth fraction of the ANC, but he held some serious reservations about the Whites and Indians in the Movement. Biko, openly repudiated the fact that these Whites and Indians were playing pivotal roles in the Movement, because he believed that the Movement should have been exclusively Black, the diametrical view Mandela held regarding the Movement.

Because Mandela, believed that Blacks, Whites, Indians and Colors had important roles to play in the Movement, and ultimately the formation of the new South Africa.

  49. Nelson Mandela

When we look at the man Mandela, we saw a man who followed the non-violent protest of Dr. Martin Luther King, and when he felt that the non-violent protest method yielded little or no resulted, Mandela then adapted the philosophy of Malcolm X, (by any means necessary), and started sabotaging the South African infrastructure.

  50. Nelson Mandela

If my memory serves me correctly, Mandela was sentenced to death by hanging, but escaped the hangman rope on a technicality, so you cannot convinced me that God hadn’t had a hand on Mandela’s life.
