That is the problem you have when the media is not doing their job as the fourth estate and takes sides for whatever reason. You don’t know who to believe and when to believe. You should not have to analyze and investigate every report to determine if it is designed to elicit a certain response or hide certain events from public view.

1) I do not know the actual circumstances surrounding the woman’s death, but most agree that if those were blacks in the streets yesterday, the police response would have been much different; tear gas, rubber bullets and real bullets. I suspect blacks would not have been able to breach the building and many would have died.
2) Black anger is often at the fact that if we are in our homes, if it is a child playing with a pellet gun, a man with a license to carry, reaching for a wallet or engaged in any act, we can be choked, kneed or shot to death.
Meanwhile, a white man can be armed to the teeth and confronting the police and end up arrested.

I am disappointed in your statement but I am not surprised. Your comment is like a politician saying they don’t receive kickbacks or benefits from the position in some shape or form because they are trying to protect their colleagues and their profession.
If the media company you work for derives their income from advertisers, they have to be very careful not to depend on certain groups of advertisers because you will get pressured to ignore certain stories or report in a certain way even though your original story might be totally accurate or you might find yourself out of a job or the media company out of business.
That is why independent reports with their own channels supported by donations is the future. The people will select they believe and support them with money, comments and tips.
