Th historically passive Bajan continues to explore non violent tactics to express disapproval to the myriad of concerns prevailing our once small proud country. With the emergence of technology and along with it the exponential growth of social media, two BU regulars have come up with the idea to create posters to graphically detail our concerns and to use social media as a vehicle to communicate those concerns.

Here are a few posters which have been created so far by Sunshine Sunny Shine and pieceuhderockyeahright and one other. BU posted a couple to Twitter under the hashtag #bajanswantchange. All creative Barbadians are encouraged to create posters and post to social media platforms using the hashtag #bajanswantchange or any other which resonates with the theme. What should be the motivation? A functional democracy calls for all citizens to participate 24/7. Once every five years is disengagement by any definition.

    I cant believe that nitwit Brathwait actually said that to the voting public. He is a public person, put in his position by the public and he cannot speak frankly because a certain segment of the same public is there? Only in Barbados.

    I have no intention of building up their foreign reserves. Muh not coming for the 50th and uh done tell muh ole cousins dem in Black Rock today that muh not coming next year neider. Me, uh just return from Jamaica and now looking at Costa Rica for dis ere winter.

    Muh not sending nuh money dis Christmas neider. Muh sending food in boxes so dey dont have to pay no $25 to get the barrel out de port. Imagine 4 ozs of peanut butter costing $11 and not even the top brand and I duz buy dem a kilo for $5 Cdn, Kraft at that.

    I will be sending you your shirts early next week.

    They will be coming express.

    They will be transported by one Michael Lashes while he is transporting the other US currency packages to the United States.

    You may not want to collect them directly from him and it would be wise to send a proxy (someone that you don’t like) since that party may be “detained” by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

    Of course if you add a US$75 I can have them shipped Fedex to your door.

    Do not remit the money to Barbados.

    (i) Been Busy with a couple things
    (ii) Been observing – patterns that are so obvious that it is comical
    (iii) Been watching the threads and blogs and looking at the constancy and predisposition that we bajans have related to things foreign and to waste time commenting on what we cant change
    (iv) will watch to see when that focus comes back to things Barbadiense but am already aware that they never will since even the work back presumes that they once were here.

    I am actually disengaging Gazer.

    Bajans are not a serious people at all.

    We are more interested in Trump and every one else in the world and a simple conversation as to how we ensure that Mugabe Mottley’s crew does not bring more of the same, is an exercise in futility.

    So we have these articles about where i stand is where i sit and inance topics that all lead to Donald Trump or the proselytes preaching of the wisdom of a DLP government again.

    So sometimes it is best to just sit back and watch the sameness of it all.

    Belated Christmas greetings. I have been busy with a few things, mostly people dying, it is amazing how many of us are dying, I say us cause it is no longer “them” but our cadre that is leaving.

    I see that you and Colonel Buggy are keeping up the fight and I note that you have been joined by another who is both the artiste Steranko, of Mavel Comics fame, and tour company operator.

    I have been advised by many not to take their plane or boat since either is doomed to flounder and burn or sink, given who is at the controls/helm.

    Another year has passed so quickly and I remember the other day telling you to be careful with the ham and turkey and you responding per your exercise regime.

    I shall return anon but sit here watching where the “conversation” is going whether the rains have cooled down the passion for national wellbeing, if the presence of prince harry and Rihanna has made us beasts more dumb or if the turkey and ham in our guts has caused the onset of niggeritis and we “well slumbering”

    We shall see what 2017 brings

    That is understood.

    It sometimes feels like “a bridge too far” where you try to do something to assist or change or whatever we do in our attempt to fool ourselves? and then it dawns on you that the people who you are trying to help or to effect positive change for, could not care if Saturday comes before Wednesday.

    At the head of the Leadership on the one side we have Fumbles bereft of any ideas or vision, bent on self aggrandisement and followed by a team of johnnie come latelies.

    And on the other side we have a Mugabe who cannot seem to draw a straight line for too long, who even now in opposition seems challenged to do the job of the opposition yet, miraculously, we are quietly hoping and praying she will white wash these clowns and pension grabbers to the nether kingdoms.

    But she is followed by a bevy of similarly challenged clowns as well who are similarly seized of ideas befitting a blackbird.

    Have you been watching their “contributions” to the public debate recently? They are like characters in a cartoon!! and not even a Pinky & the Brain or a Darkwing Duck calibre but an Elmer Fudd or Mr. bad-word Magoo!!

    So we have cubas on the side of the DLP and blackbirds on the side of the BLP so we are screwed.

    I do pray you have a most pleasant weekend and enjoy the New Year Celebrations.

    BTW I noticed that you comment on the Nation. How did you get that done? They dont let me post anything there or at Barbados Today or on the Advocate lololol. it is most sexist!! in reverse lololol but then again Suzanne, your picture is way more palatable than mine…smile
