David Thompson was dead and Fruendel Stuart could have said all that was under David Thompson, here is the new way. From there he could have swiftly moved to put the JM’s in place and with public sympathy in 2010, all of this could have been behind the DLP. But they dithered and dithered and now they cannot deal with the reality.

Though this excerpt cites the NIS of Guyana and if given more time we are sure that we will prove our central point that National Insurance Schemes across the Caribbean, and Barbados has not been an exception, have at some point in the past held significant deposits with CLICO or its subsidiaries over decades. NIS (Barbados) has long held a policy of spreading its funds between financial institutions. CLICO was never excluded. And this is an undeniable truism. The more important point however, is that all the CLICO entities were private companies and therefore had no culture of accountability to stakeholders.
