  1. @ TECHIE

Yes JESUS* hung upon a tree… and “CURSE” was any man who hung upon a “TREE”…

BUT CAN YOU BEAR TO TRULY UNDERSTAND THE RAMIFICATIONS OF “HIS” SACRIFICE? DOES YOUR MIND, HEART OR SPIRIT HAVE THE CAPACITY TO FATHOM WHAT THAT MEANT?

We can present glib, anecdotal humanistic philosophies to satisfy and appease our consciences and that’s on us – but no human being has before or since “ENDURED” what the “KING OF KINGS & LORD OF LORDS” had to pay for the salvation of the souls of men…

WHETHER YOU BELIEVE THAT OR NOT DOES NOT AMOUNT TO A HILL OF BEANS NOR DOES IT CHANGE ONE SINGLE IOTA IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS – AND THAT APPLIES EQUALLY TO “believers” AS WELL AS “unbelievers”…

  2. @ DAVID

Mankind put in motion a “SERIES” of apocalyptic consequences based on “CHOICES” we all make…

We have a tendency to ascribe “EVERYTHING” that goes on in this world (NEGATIVELY) to GOD* (and HIS* Servants) – who for all intents and purposes is INNOCENT* of every charge we have so insidiously leveled against HIM*….

Man was created with “FREE, MORAL REINS”…

We choose LIFE or “DEATH” based on our own moral “agency” – words echoed by MOSES* the prophet in Deut. 30:19…

My grandmother going to sleep at age 90 odd or whatever was not “DEATH” in the way some “TYRANTS” have their lives snatched from them in the same consequential violence they have imparted to others…

The “WAGES” as referenced in Scripture (Rom. 6:23) metaphorically alludes to the premise that when one works for a salary, you get paid based on your contract…

In the spiritual sense JESUS* alludes to the fact that UNRIGHTEOUS* workers are also going to collect a “PAYCHECK” – aptly called “DEATH” which is total separation from any possibilities of having “ETERNAL LIFE”… While on the other hand, the RIGHTEOUS* who die has that guaranteed assurance that their wages will be “ETERNAL LIFE”…

THIS IS AT THE HEART OF THE MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL!!!! Take it or leave it (AGAIN, ANOTHER CHOICE*)…

So this determination has nothing really to do with MANKIND* in its truest sense (other than our “CHOICE” to live righteous and “SERVE” CHRIST* – the “ONLY” hope of Glory)….

  3. Has The West Gone Mad !

Something is morally and and ethically wrong the relentless killing of political leaders by the West is showing a disturbing picture. Have the West adopted an “eye for an eye” mentality. Have the Statue of Liberty been torn down And the Words” Justice For All’ been replaced. with”An Eye For An Eye’ the moral compass of the West is very much broken. What happen for the call of “change” far from it there is a continuation of George Bush’s tyrannical administration. How can the West condemn the actions of others when they are no better! Far for me to say but this is a “ticking tomb”

  4. @ac: “Has The West Gone Mad!

    IMHO, yes.

@ac et al… It is the official policy of the West (or, at least most of the West) that Western countries do not kill other countries leaders, because the reciprocal action could then be justifiably actioned.

But it seems Western countries find that if they enable the killing of Eastern leaders by their own people, that’s OK.

We’re drunk on oil and other sources of hydrocarbons. And natural resources. And labour…

And, for some reason, we believe that Democracy is the one and only solution. Like that’s actually ever been truly actuated.

    I agree with (true) Democracy.

A pity it is currently so commingled with the empirically inefficient and orthogonal system of Capitalism which results in such a difference been the “haves” and the “have nots” throughout the world.

  5. @Chris

The world is interconnected now more than ever in our history. The so called economic success of India and China have become enormous beneficiaries in this brave new world.

  6. @David: “The so called economic success of India and China have become enormous beneficiaries in this brave new world.

It is not “so called”. It is real.

China now holds enough US of A dollars that they could crash the “Dollar” any time they choose to.

Please note the Bajan dollar is tied to the US of A’s dollar; the Chinese Yuan is independent.

  7. @David: “Do you understand what interconnectivity and symbiotic mean?

Without even having to reference a dictionary, yes.

Interconnectivity: “To have one or more systems be interconnected; be related.

Symbiotic: “To be supportive of at least one other while they support you.

    Your point?

  8. @ CH:
Don’t you think that China owes its success on the Americans’ gargantuan appetite for consumer goods? The continuing economic success of China relies heavily on feeding the materialistic beast called the US of A. So if the big beast falls as result of its addiction to the cheap drug of consumerism China will have no materialistic junkie to exploit.
As for China holding most of USA’s dollars and treasury papers, this is just a symbiotic necessity that goes like this: USA prints money (backed by Treasury IOU’s) to allow its junkie consumers to buy cheap Chinese goods. Chinese manufacturers and exporters (with the aiding and abetting of Western capitalists) accept the dollars and soak up the IOU’s to keep the vicious cycle going.
If the eagle wants to break the stranglehold the only thing left to do is to declare war against the dragon and all debts (sorry bets) will be written (off).

  9. @millertheanunnaki: “Don’t you think that China owes its success on the Americans’ gargantuan appetite for consumer goods?

I don’t, actually. Although I think the current Chinese leaders have been really smart by getting the “Western World” addicted to cheap goods.

@MTA (I hope you don’t mind the short-form initials): “The continuing economic success of China relies heavily on feeding the materialistic beast called the US of A.

    No it actually doesn’t.

The truth is China could close its doors to trade to the world for ten years , and it wouldn’t really notice.

The world, on the hand, would.

  10. @ CH:
We’re drunk on oil and other sources of hydrocarbons. And natural resources.”
The new British Secretary for Defence has just told British business firms to head to Libya and secure contracts for the reconstruction of the country. To quote him: “With the military campaign all but over after the death of Muammar Gaddafi and the defeat of what appears to have been the last pockets of resistance, Mr Hammond said sales directors should be “packing their suitcases” for Libya”.

Now we now what this war was all about!!

  11. West dont need China to crash it. It is doing that all by isseld. Stock Markets is going to fall, faster than a boo-boo.

And then alla da rebel talk, going see rebels enuff in Wall Street an everywhere else too.

    What one reaps, one sows.

And de sowing going be biGGG!

  12. @ CH:
“The truth is China could close its doors to trade to the world for ten years , and it wouldn’t really notice.”
OK to use the handle “MTA”.
That assertion is somewhat OTT, don’t you think so?
China, like its engrained arch enemy but much admired and envied economic mentor Japan, is an export focus economy. Selling cheap manufactured goods to the World with USA being its largest customer, is paramount to the modernisation of the Chinese economy. It is through his outward focus of its economic development that the Chinese were able to transform their economy from an agrarian based society to its present status on the World stage in less than 60 years. Moreover, China needs to import large amounts of raw materials and petroleum especially from the easily exploited African and other Third World countries in order to keep its sweat shops open 24/7.

An inward looking China is not in the interest of the dragon if it is to be el numero uno and get back at its old invaders from the land of the rising sun.

  13. quote from above ..AS A MAN LIVES, HE DIES!!!

And so too a Nation. Beware the markets will soon fall.

And the streets in certain cities wont be pretty. Hope you support the ‘rebels’ then!

    LOL.

  14. @Chickenlikkel: “Stock Markets is going to fall, faster than a boo-boo.

Just for the record, I always map a great deal of uncertainty around anyone who claims they can predict the future without them justifying their opinions with hard empirical data.

  15. Start stocking up on dry and canned goods with long expiry dates. Fuel, candles, matches etc as well. Medicines too. Anything you need for survival.

Between February and April 2012 should be interesting.

  16. @millertheanunnaki: “That assertion is somewhat OTT, don’t you think so?

No. That is an honest belief.

@MTA: “China, like its engrained arch enemy but much admired and envied economic mentor Japan, is an export focus economy. Selling cheap manufactured goods to the World with USA being its largest customer, is paramount to the modernisation of the Chinese economy.

China has 1.33 billion consumers. The world has just short of 6.80 billion consumers.

Do you really think that China *needs* the US of A’s population of 0.31 billion consumers?

They might enjoy them; but they don’t need them.

  17. Mr.Millarthenuke, one thing you dont factor in is….CHANGE.

That is the only certainty. Aside from the fact that people are gulluble as ..ite.

Anyone ready to form a company to sell stuff to Libya (if you got french, english or US contacts)?

    It ‘need’ rebuilding. RFLMAO!

  18. @ CH:
The majority of the 1.3 billion consumers on the China mainland are simple living folks whose consumption and ownership of modern material goods per head of population pails in comparison with the average American material excesses and carbon footprints. Mother Earth will shake off the parasites before the average Chinese, or Indian for that matter, ever come close to what Western consumers extract from the land and pollute with their throw-away mentality. The heavy pollution of China is a direct result of this mad rush to get rich by producing the food for the consuming sharks in the West.

  19. @MTA: “Mother Earth will shake off the parasites before the average Chinese, or Indian for that matter, ever come close to what Western consumers extract from the land and pollute with their throw-away mentality.

    Agree.

I walked past three government vehicles today which had their engines running while their passengers were outside the vehicle.

Apparently it is to keep the vehicle’s interior cool for the passengers to re-enter….

  20. “MR.Halsall, I have hard hard evidence, but not for you. But I am never wrong.”

@Chickenlikkel, Halsall, only understands the word ’empirical’ re evidence, theoretically, not experientially, logically, or otherwise, after all, isn’t he a ‘pawn’ for such falsity and folly as Evolution, believing that LIE, renders him virtually incapable of receiving TRUTH!

  21. Zoe can you explain this:
    Malachi 4:2
” And to YOU who are in fear of my name the SUN of righteousness will certainly shine forth, with healing in his wings… ”

” THE LORD GOD IS A SUN AND SHIELD.”

    Psalm 84:11
    King James Version (KJV)
