According to media reports a meeting held on January 5, 2025 to invite public discussion on the final report (findings/recommendations) submitted by the Constitutional Reform Commission (CRC) attracted a ‘small but vocal’ audience. The Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) recorded 3.5k views on its Youtube Channel which supports the view that the important task of the CRC was not given high priority by a public that has historically shown little interest in governance matters.

The robust feedback from the ‘small’ audience who attended last Sunday suggests a level of dissatisfaction with the final report. In this space some commenters have also shared views that the findings contained in the final report do not align with an urgent need to support transformative change in Barbados. Have a listen.     Ms Springer remarked that the constitution and the panelists were archaic and old. I don’t know whom that old man was on the stage who was reading from a script and was struggling to read the words in front of him. I thought that this was highly symbolic.

    Not one shiite was wrong with what Ms Springer had to say. If anything she erred in not dropping a few brass bowls or (worse) RHs… the emphasis her points even more.
    We are NOT in stinking ‘upper lip’ England…

    GP1 reflects the old colonial traditions, bred by subservience – which forbids speaking harshly to power – even when those powers are shiite.

    Based on the robust review of Jnr’s financial projections as SB, one might guess the relations between Jnr and the author of the Barefoot Boy from Station Hill, are loving, but not tight. It is unlikely either has sway over the other.

    You must google and find GP1 interview by the Nation. Listen to whom he tells you encouraged him to ‘invest’ in the Nation. You may then realise who knows who. And to make it funnier, plt is the son of another early investor.
    As of April ’24 there wasn’t anything wrong with GP1s mind. Like it or not, he is both consistent and predictable.
    He’s likely been listening to another icon of his age-group, the Oracle of Omaha, whose solution to US financial issues is a 3%of GDP deficit. Any Congress person voting for more, cannot run again for office.
    They are seeking to enforce discipline upon those who refuse discipline.

    After speed reading the pungent work of “THE GREAT LEVELER” by Walter Scheidel, a book every “CURIOUS” mind should read, posits eye-opening historical features into the ongoing struggles between #Oligarchy v #Oligopoly v #Tyranny – “FOLLOWED BY MASS DESTRUCTION”!!!

    Scheidel’s central argumentative plank rest on this damnable notion that throughout history, significant reductions in “ECONOMIC INEQUALITY” have primarily been caused by what he calls the “FOUR HORSEMEN” – (a formidable allusion to the “BIBLICAL OPENING OF THE 7 SEALS”) – a hubris from which myself & others continue to beat an age-old “PRIMORDIAL DRUM” of “WAR”, “BLOODSHED”, “MAYHEM” & “DESTRUCTION”, as mankind’s last & only bastion of “EQUALITY”!!!

    Scheidel cites:

    (1) MASS-MOBILIZATION WARFARE
    (2) TRANSFORMATIVE REVOLUTION
    (3) STATE COLLAPSE
    (4) CATASTROPHIC PLAGUES/PANDEMICS (now, #PlanDEMICS*)

    Scheidel’s book examines historical examples like:

    (a) THE BLACK DEATH IN MEDIEVAL EUROPE
    (b) THE TWO WORLD WARS OF THE 20th CENTURY (with the 3rd beckoning)
    (c) THE RUSSIAN & CHINESE REVOLUTIONS
    (d) THE COLLAPSE OF VARIOUS EMPIRES & STATES

    Scheidel further argues that “PEACEFUL REFORMS” have rarely achieved “ANY” significant “ECONOMIC LEVELLING”, & that major reductions in “INEQUALITY” have almost always been accompanied by “INTENSE VIOLENCE or CATASTROPHE”!!!

    Scheidel contends that “ongoing advances in “ECONOMIC CAPACITY” & state-building favoured “GROWING INEQUALITY” but did little if anything to bring it under control”…

    The book suggests that “PEACEFUL MEANS” of reducing “INEQUALITY” have been largely “INEFFECTIVE” compared to these “VIOLENT SHOCKS”!!!

    Scheidel provides historical examples, such as the world wars of the 20th century, the Bolshevik & Chinese Communist revolutions, & the Black Death of the 14th century, to support his thesis…

    He argues that even in cases of “TRANSFORMATIVE REVOLUTIONS”, it was specifically the “VIOLENCE INVOLVED” that caused the “LEVELLING EFFECT”, rather than the “IDEOLOGICAL GOALS”…

    The author presents his analysis as a “COUNSEL OF DESPAIR”, implying that significant reductions in inequality may be unlikely without catastrophic events taking place in the 21st century world we currently occupy!!!

    Forgive the “ACADEMIC HAT” (it’s 2-degree outside) & my ears & toes are rather cold this mornin’….

    I am pretty sure it came up already on BU that plt’s dad, St. Elmo Thompson, was always in Grantley Adams’ house and tutored his son “Tom”.

    Dr. Emerson St. Elmo “Saint” Thompson’s funeral took place at the St. Andrew Parish
    Church on Wednesday, January 13. Dr. Grenville Phillips presented an Appreciation on
    behalf of Rotary. On Thursday, January 14th PDG Tony Watkins provided a Tribute at the start of the meeting.

    The video, GP1 states it was Christopher Blackman who suggested he invest in the Nation.
    So in a spate of a few minutes on a video and the written comments, you tie together people who are very obviously well known to each other. The Nation is simply one link.
    That is Buhbaydus. The degree of separation is minimal.

Carney is Godfather to at least one of Freeland’s children. All her children were born years before she entered the political arena. Carney is still unelected.

    For Freeland has Ukranian heretage. Her ancestors were transplanted into Canadá and the rest of the Western Hemisphere after WW2 by the USA and their Western allies.

    In Ukraine the same CIA which brought them to these parts continued to sponsor fascist stay-behind groups in order to subvert the USSR even until 1991.

    In the West, there is a whole network of these fascist, Hitler-loving, Ukranians high in major governments who continue this project to destroy Russia, even at the risk of a WW3 and the use of nuclear weapons.

    Victoria Nuland, the former US State Department high official is another one. They intentions remain the same. They have assumed Western sounding names like Nuland and Freeland but remain loyal to Adolf Hitler and the Ukranian fascists, like Azol.

    In your Canadá, recently Trudeau and the parliament, a few years ago, honoured a former Ukranian Nazi, a nineties year old man whose name we can’t recall as some freedom fighter. A man who fought for Hitler.

    Personally, Trudeau is nothing like his father who was a good friend to Barrow and Barbados. He’s turned Canadá into such a satrap to America, no wonder Trump is threatening to incorporate the country.

    She was born FREELAND, that is her father’s name with UK roots. She didn’t assume it. Her mother’s ancestry is Ukranian.
    And we all know she and other family members, journalists and Professors, have been a pain Russia’s ass for years.
    Whether their version of history, or the Russian version are correct, I haven’t a clue.

    The situation where a former Nazi was presented in Canadian Parliament, was an embarrassment. Can’t blame Trudeau, even though he’s not a favourite, it was the Speakers decision, which led to his resignation.

    My observation with Sovereign leaders, is many have a desire to take over lands which are not currently recognized as being theirs. And this has gone on forever. So they fight over them, and each has a story, as the why it should be, or is rightfully theirs.
