Barbados New York Consul General in hot water

Submitted by Richard Millington, Esq.Director of Communications Caribbean Guyana Institute for Democracy ( CGID)

Consul General Mackie Holder

The Caribbean Guyana Institute for Democracy (CGID) on Monday harshly condemned the behavior of the Consul General of Barbados in New York, Mackie Holder, for his verbal abuse of a female New York elected official at Monday’s West Indian American Day Carnival (Labor Day Parade). The parade was held on the Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, and attended by millions of West Indians.

The Barbados Consul General was not only verbally abusive, but he lifted his hand and pointed his finger in the face of the female Democratic elected official. The Consul General knows who the elected official is and fully recognized her at the time of the incident

The attack occurred on a double decker tourist bus sponsored by the Barbados Tourism Authority, which was part of the parade. What is bazaar is that the West Indian American Day Carnival Association (WIADCA), which organizes the parade, does not normally allow such buses in the parade.

However, the Barbadian community appealed to the very elected official to assist with getting the bus to be in the parade. The elected official successfully appealed to the Association to allow the bus in the parade, only to be placed in disrepute by the incivility of an apparently power drunk Consul General.

The situation unfolded when the elected official, who was playing mas in the 95° temperature, saw the bus in the parade and hopped on to greet the occupants and to ask for water. She was immediately accosted by the hostile, arrogant and ungrateful Consul General who ordered her off the bus in a degrading and disparaging fashion. While pointing his finger in her face, he yelled “Get off my bus!!” He then asked her if she did not have money to buy her own refreshments?
Several Caribbean Brooklyn community leaders discussed the matter, and denounced Holder’s behavior. The pervasive view is if the official was a male, the Consul General would not have ventured to be uncouth and disrespectful. The community feels that he was particularly abusive because the elected official is a woman.

We in the Caribbean American community will not tolerate this kind of abuse of our women. Holder obviously does not represent Caribbean values of hospitality, camaraderie, decency, civility and respect for women. His disgraceful conduct is beneath the dignity of a diplomat. Consequently, he is no longer welcome in our community.

CGID joins with others in the New York Caribbean American community to demand that the Consul General immediately offers an unqualified, written apology to the elected official.
Moreover, we also plan to be a signatory to a letter Caribbean American community leaders plan to write to the Prime Minister of Barbados demanding that Holder be recalled from New York forthwith.

  1. Yep…that’s the norm, disrespect to women who look like them but bow, scrape and suck up to women from other groups, with their inferiority complex…..they can’t help themselves…shame and disgrace, they have no manners, or home training to respect Afrikan descended women, it just dont exist…

That’s why i care not for them or their useless titles, cause ya can take the uncouth out of the ghetto, give them one thousand titles, but ya cant take the ghetto out of them…that is out and out showoff ghetto behavior..

    • Were you on the bus to hear what happened? You are taking one side and haven’t heard the other side. Always remember there is more than one side to a story.

  2. I am fighting the urge to express a robust opinion but must restrain myself until I hear the other two sides of this story.

  3. Problem is we see this behavior from black men too often everywhere, that’s the reason why i play no games with them and their chauvinist pig attributes of talking down to Black women, like they believe we have no rights…so i dont hesitate to immediately put them in their place..they apparently can never see themselves or EACH OTHER and enable the disrespect….and actually believe people who are not similarly challenged admire it and them…but are very wrong…..

.there seemed to have been many witnesses around who are having none of it or they would not call for his withdrawal. ..am sure cellphone cameras were whipped out too…

Which ever way it swings, it’s extremely ugly and were he to smell himself and do that to any woman from another group in NYC he would promptly get exactly what he deserves….manners is not a greeting.

Btw…i have seen how those azzholes in the consulate at 2nd Ave & Lexington act and was never impressed. ..so it’s easy for me to see this happening.

  4. @ FearPlay,
    I agree with you.
However there is a good reason why Bajans are generally despised throughout the Caribbean. TRACE BACK the term “Little England”. The answer is contained within the term

    • @Hants

Mackie Holder is one of the boys – “he was a personal assistant to former prime minister, Owen Arthur, and has been described as a shrewd strategist and political organiser” – in the BLP, the blogmaster would be surprised if he is touched.

    • Investigation and then moved sideways but if true he cannot remain in that position in NYC

Agreeing with both Hants and David

  5. Even more revealing, the scandals seem to be running on a loop..and in rotation…. …months now. .

  6. I also agree with FearPlay and likewise thought I should not comment until the ‘other side of the story’ is presented. And even more so upon realising a Guyanese wrote the article.

  7. Respect is basically ‘a two way street.’ There is truth in the ‘old saying’ that, ‘to EARN respect, you MUST GIVE respect.’

  8. @ David,

He will not be ” touched ” as long as his alleged actions do not affect PMMIA as ” leader ” of the Caribbean.

Why was the Barbados Tourism Authority in te parade ?

  9. What? Bajan diplomat in hot water in the US? Say it isn’t so, however the words alleged to have been used by the current CG pales in comparison to those used by the late Waldo Emerson Waldron Ramsey Barbados Ambassador to the UN who wrote to the Mayor of Pelham NY after his dog bit some residents and the mayor said that the dog would be shot in the interests of public safety if it bit any other resident.

“The mind boggles, Mr. Mayor to contemplate the tragic, calamitous consequences of a personal nature which would naturally flow from any such aberration. And this consideration bespeaks nothing of the possible international consequences.”

Apparently, Waldo was claiming diplomatic immunity for the dog.

    The mind boggles😊

    • @David, wait THIS foolishness is the story of the WI DAY parade, fah trute!

Surely, you – as I do – recall when in years past Sparrow, RPB, Black Stalin and on and on would make an appearance at some event leading up to or during this carnival day and it was a fun filled, wonderful spectacle of colour and pagentry … and den bruggadung de shots start pelting and people started getting injured and a few killed!

Sooooo, all dat to say, I saw an online ad for Q-in-de-Community along with Ram and lots of oothers performing on de Saturday … Excellent.

More excellent, I have not heard or seen a major story about bad incidents on de day… so dump dis in file 13!

The CG would be a jackass if the story is true and although these playas can be quite pompous such stupidity has consequences eventually … as no politician likes being embarrassed and will eventually retaliate. So let that play out…it’s a waste of space otherwise!

De story: Hooray for an incident Labor Day Jam!

      Lata.

    • Wise words @ David … but alas surely recent history has taught us that actually exposing big lies – like a grand story of catching a big fish- tends to produce a lot of fishy smells that then become their own rancorous story!

As the blogger alluded to: our NY CG position has been the source of grand fishy stories for years … this one ranks as one of the ‘fishest’ yet!

Man, I am steeped in dis stuff so long to recall (from others tho, as i am not dat ancient 🤣) when Branford Taitt de cawmere boy was up in NY holding court and had as good companions the oldest (as they tell me) external old scholars association ! 😎🤦🏾‍♂️

      Lata.

  10. I must say, if the man behaved like that, he should be recalled. If “tourism is our business” he certainly did not play his part.

  11. But wait, bosie! Didn’t the Holder replace the last recalled one who diplomaticallly escaped a rape charge?

This looks like all “the best people” in a Donald Trump stylie!

Then again, we did start out with Roy Morris in the communications team. Add to that accused rapist Rowe and we have a very MOTLEY CRUE!

    Or Mottley Crew.

Either way, it is sex, drugs and then rock and roll!

  12. I am thrilled this handicap of disrespecting Black women that too many black men suffer with, this social disease, is being finally exposed everywhere and at this level, maybe now they will keep their rancid nastiness to themselves since it’s widely known that it is only superceded by their mindblowing narrowminded ignorance…

It was bound to happen..Hopefully the next generation of young men and boys is not tainted and painted with that ugliness. Get the necessary home training to respect women they need, starting in their homes, neighborhood and spreading outward….in that regard, so we get a new generation of wholesome, mentally well rounded men who, like themselves, dont suffer an inferiority complex and lash out at Black women due to their disability, showoff nature and stupidity….like the pissy little boys pretending to be men do now and are enabled , egged on by useless breathers like themselves….they are an embarrassment to everyone.

    Change must come.

  13. Yesterday, I was decidedly against Mackie Holder and have since given this story considerable thought.

I do not like the smell of this story as (1) I can find no trace of it in the New York papers, (2) no officials has been named and (3) those spreading the story are anonymous.

Unless additional names as forthcoming, this story has the major elements of a fake story.

I have suspended my judgements and wait on more developments.

    • It seems that Rickford Burke is making this an issue of Barbados vs Guyanese. The blogmaster is hopeful Mackie Holder will respond.

  14. Only people feel sorry for ghetto rat showoffs being taken to task, but who dont stop unless stopped…..are those just like them..

Just like the backward corrupt politicians, who now have essays written about them and shared across continents… they too were bound to put THEMSELVES at the top of the list of exposures…

..imagine in this day and age we still have to deal with ignorant unbalanced black men stalking and harassing us for no other reason than they are damaged , many beyond repair . ..but yet claim they are educated.

I had my fill of them on this very blog, the worse yet…dont know how they and their enablers cant see themselves and that no one with a smidgen of intelligence or respect for women will ever admire them….and they built themselves quite the ugly reputation but seem not to know it yet in their dizzy state…

Maybe now they can start the very long journey of fixing and healing their damaged minds. ..wont hold my breath that those types can ever change, but stranger things have happened.

I.E ONE CAN NOT ADJUDICATE CORRECTLY AND SENSIBLY WITHOUT ALL THE FACTS

I FIND THE EMOTIONAL DIATRIBE BY “THE BU DAILY POST” HILARIOUS AND ENTERTAINING

I ALSO WONDER WHAT THIS INCIDENT HAS TO DO WITH DONALD TRUMP. HE IS NOT ANTICHRIST, NOR DID HE , OR DOES HE DISPLAY ANY OF THE CHARACTERISTICS OFF ANTIOCHUS EPIPHANES IV AS DESCRIBED IN THE LAST HALF OF DANIEL 8 OR DANIEL 11:35 FF WHICH IS PREDICTIVE OF THE CHARACTER OF THE ANTICHRIST.

      Indeed.

  16. Hiding behind anonymity to stalk harass and disrespect Black women int saving creeps from EXPOSURE these days..

And ya can thank ya fellow ghetto rat creep diplomat for that…HA!!!

  17. You cannot unify by spreading division.

You cannot uplift by degrading others.

Generalizing makes a problem bigger not smaller.

    Stop the shit.

    • Nobody wants to further unify a bunch of disrespectful stalkers and attackers of Black women…that would be compounding the problem and giving them license to continue when you too witnessed what they did using anonymity as cover ..and not only to.me… so i am sure not unifying with that type…that would be stockholm syndrome.

…did you ever try to stop it… i have one of the finest memories our earth has been blessed with and dont recall..is that the type of behavior you rubberstamp for your wife and other female relatives, seems so.

….enablers are no different because they say nothing when it’s happening..then believe they can stop what comes next….bahh

  19. Since when did drawing an appropriate reference become irrelevant???????

Didn’t Donald Trump say he hired all the best people? And have they not since shown themselves to be anything but, even in his book? One by one they denounced him as a moron and he has replied in kind. And,
only a handful of them have endorsed his current candidacy

  20. TheO,

It goes without saying, or it SHOULD go without saying, that there are men who treat women with the utmost respect, and there are men who couldn’t be more disrespectful. Just as there are women, deserving of respect and those who bring disrespect upon themselves.

That is my UNEMOTIONAL and totally rational observation.

You will note too that I said “IF” he behaved like that.

Emotions never get in the way of my thinking. NEVER.

    • IDIOT, the article was submitted by Richard Millington, director of communications, CGID. How could information from the SAME SOURCE, be considered “the other 2 sides” or even the ‘other side of the story?’

  22. When they do their evil shit, they always brand women as emotional thinking that will help them get away with it….NOT THIS TIME…

This is their …make them famous ERA….

  23. Why is a non-profit non-partisan think tank like the Caribbean Guyana Institute for Democracy commenting on what allegedly happened between two political officials with no relationship to Guyana?

Is this an attempt to discredit the him by highlighting what some might consider to be a possible diplomatic incident if it did indeed happen?

Why would a US Congresswoman be inserting herself in what is allowed in a parade?
Why would Barbados seek to have rules altered? Double decker buses are not common to the island?

CGID STANDS BY ITS STATEMENT ON THE INCIDENT INVOLVING BARBADOS CONSUL GENERAL IN NEW YORK, PROVIDES ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Yesterday, the Caribbean Guyana Institute for Democracy (CGID) issued a statement regarding an incident on a bus in the Labor Day parade, involving the Consul General of Barbados in New York, Mackie Holder, one Brian Corbin who is apparently an advisor to the Barbados Ministry of Culture, and others, and a female New York State elected official.

The CGID statement of September 5, 2023, detailed the abuse to which the elected official was subjected by the Consul General, Brian Corbin and others, because she asked for refreshments for her 11 year old daughter, on the bus. The very elected official fought for this bus to be in the parade.

Since the Barbados Consul General has been mobilizing persons who were purportedly on the bus to endorse an embellished, self-serving narrative, CGID states categorically that we stand by our previous statement, and provide further clarity as follows.

      THE FACTS::

      1. The bus in question did not belong to the Barbados Consul General or the Barbados Ministry of Cultural. The Barbados Department of Culture merely sponsored twenty of 85 seats on a double decker tourist bus, rented by Sesame Flyers International, the largest mas ban, to facilitate hospitality for their artistes, sponsors and special benefactors.

      2. The elected official was a benefactor. She, on behalf of Sesame Flyers, got the permit for the bus to be on the parade . The day before the parade, Sesame Flyers summoned her to their offices, invited her to be on the bus, and gave her credentials for she and four members of her team to be on the bus.

      3. At the parade, after playing mas in the 95° temperature for the entire length of the parade, the elected official, her 11 year old daughter and her two nieces walked back four blocks from the Brooklyn Museum to Bedford Avenue to join the bus and partake in the refreshments.

      4. When they approached to bus some of the persons initially blocked them from entering. She informed them that she had the wristband credential to be on the bus. The Director of Sesame Flyers saw the persons connected to the Barbados government preventing the elected official from getting on the bus, and observed persons shouting for her to get off the bus. He intervened and instructed that she be allowed on the bus.

      5. He then introduced the elected official to the Consul General of Barbados, the Barbadian Minister of Culture and advisor to the Ministry of Culture, Brian Corbin. He exited the bus with the elected official for whom he got cold beverages, and they rejoined the bus. He then again left the bus to be with his masqueraders.

      6. Subsequently, the elected official’s 11 year old daughter told her mother she was hungry. The official in turn asked the person providing the hospitality for a plate of food for her daughter. It is important to note also that the elected official was on the bus for a total of thirty six (36) minutes.

At this point, the matter escalated. The Barbados Consul General and Brian Corbin allegedly engaged the elected official in a hostile manner. The Consul General pointed out that he paid $75,000 for the bus and she is not entitled to be on the bus or to eat the food.

      7. An argument ensued during which both the Consul General and Corbin became belligerent, pointing their fingers in her face and ordering her to get off the bus; asking if she was poor and couldn’t afford to buy food for her daughter. Another person, sitting next to the Consul General’s wife, placed his hand on the elected official’s thigh to block her from going to the food area. She demanded that he remove his hand from her leg.

      8. Another person pushed the elected official aside to pass, knocking down her daughter who was standing directly behind her. None of the Barbadian intervened. He only apologized for knocking down the child after the elected official demanded that he do so. This assault and harassment of the elected official should be condemned by all.

      9. CGID has confirmed with Sesame Flyers that while the Barbados Ministry of Culture agreed to partly sponsor the bus, and to be allocated 20 of the 85 seat, they have not yet paid that money to Sesame Flyers. Moreover, CGID confirmed that the beverages and refreshments on the bus were provided by Sesame Flyers and not the Consul General of Barbados.

      10. In light of this circumstance, the Consul General should have been more circumspect, polite and prudent, while attempting to commandeer the bus, and to be a crass, audacious bus police.

      11. This level of incivility and crassness is not only abusive and insulting to the elected official, it is offensive to all of us as Caribbean Americans and New Yorkers. We treat our women with respect and dignity. What transpired on the bus was an abomination, an embarrassment and should be widely condemned and exposed. Caribbean people are hospitable. We do not insult people over food, especially at carnival.

      12. When this incident occurred one of our community leaders texted the Consul General and asked him to resolve the matter with the elected official. He did not. Others also publicly called on him to address and resolve the issue. He did not.

      13. How dare these people abuse one of our female elected leaders, and her child, with the express intent to publicly humiliate her, and expect to get away with it? Rest assured that this community will not tolerate it!

      14. It is unfortunate that to date the Consul General remains intransigent and has not seen it fit to resolve this issue. This is beneath the dignity of the office he holds. It cannot be that he and his supporters believe that his insolence toward a female elected official will be disregarded? It will not! We remain resolute that this actor should not be allowed to continue to serve in our community.

  27. What could be more disrespectful to ‘Afrikan descended males’ than an ‘Afrikan descended female’ PRETENDING to be African conscious and spewing anti-white sentiments, while BRAGGING she is married to a WHITE MAN.

  28. ONE OF THE THINGS I ENJOY IS LOOKING AT THE OBITS
I ESPECIALLY LIKE TO READ OF THE POOR OBSCURE WOMEN WHO WERE UNKNOWN AND UNHERALDED NATIONALLY

THOSE WHO WORKED ON THE PLANTATIONS IN LOWLY PAID JOBS, BUT WHO HAD THE FAITH AND FORTITUDE AND SKILL TO RAISE SEVERAL CHILDREN AND EDUCATE THEM SUCH THAT THEY BECAME QUALIFIED TO TAKE THIER PLACE IN NATIONAL LIFE AT VERY HIGH LEVELS……….AND ALSO INTERNATIONALLY.

IT IS A JOY TO LISTEN TO HEAR THEM EULOGIZED HOW THEY COOKED, BAKED SOLD PUDDING AND SOUSE RAISED ANIMALS DID SMOCKING MADE HATS AND DRESSES, AND ENGAGED IN ALL KINDS OF LEGAL AND WHOLESOME SUNDRY ENDEAVOURS TO RAISE THEIR CHILDREN, AND TAUGHT THEM MORALS.

THESE THINGS ARE TO ME A SOURCE OF PRIDE…..EVEN THOUGH I DONT KNOW THE PEOPLE ABOUT WHOM I AM READING AND LEARNING ABOUT.

THIS IS WHAT WE NEED TO HIGHLIGHT INSTEAD OF THE DAILY NEGATIVE DRIVEL

  29. David, shouldn’t this be an issue for the US government? Why would members of a Guyanese organistion maliciously insert/involve themselves in what may be a Barbadian diplomatic issue?

    • @Artax

Waiting for all the information to shake out. The fact that a politically connected Guyanese lawyer in NY is throwing shade at Consul General Mackie Holder piques the interest of the blogmaster.. Importantly getting to the bottom of it hopefully will be the end state.

  30. This article lacks balance.

    May be purely political.

    Overly infused with emotionalism.

Even a rush to judgement by an over zealous political enemy.

Certainly, we have never found the disposition attributed as characteristic of the diplomatic ethos, even amongst those who themselves were political picks or having a “diplomatic dog”.

    • “Rickford Burke-
The parties involved in the controversy over the alleged abuse of a female New York State elected official and the Consul General of Barbados and some members of his team at the Labor Day parade on Monday, have agreed to engage each other at a mediation meeting to be held today, September 6, 2023. The parties have also agreed to attempt to deescalate tensions by eschewing further public comment until after the meeting.”

  31. No one will ever listen to the BU frauds ever again…always in cover up and bullying mode…what an ugly look.

Pacha…watch the video showing with Marcia Weekes credibly outlining what she was told by people WHO WERE ACTIALLY THERE ON THE SPOT……the article was just to draw attention…

..the events are outlined in a more believable manner with EVERY ugly detail…now they are trying to cover up with mediation…cause they cant have the international press get wind of this travesty..

..cant give the ghetto rat negro any titles or the tiniest of power over each other… that’s exactly how they act.

    • IDIOT, you are misrepresenting the truth. Contributors mentioned their preference to await the ‘other side of the story’ before commenting, which is REASONABLE, under these circumstances. Fortunately, time has revealed that YOU are the REAL BU fraud. Remember, you OPENLY ADMITTED in this forum, to being a LIAR, and would LIE ‘just to make things interesting.’ And, EVIDENCE was presented to BU, supporting the claim you used a fictitious name and forged a particular individual’s email address to send false, malicious information. A FRAUDULENT ACT! Then, would go into “cover up and bullying mode” when challenged. “What an ugly look” for (Wura-War-on) U!!!

  34. You know, you can continue to lie like your Orange Jesus. If I found it to be embarrassing, I wouldn’t have told BU. Everybody who knows me knows about that one visit to Dr. Mahy. Because I told them. As I have told BU. I tend to talk about issues of importance, and myself and son, not other people’s business unless I am talking to them.

So, for those who don’t know – I was a student at UWI when I noticed a substantial loss in my powers of concentration. As examinations were pending, I availed myself of the services of the UWI psychiatrist, Dr. George Mahy, who told me I was depressed, and for good reason, in his opinion. He therefore wrote me an exemption from pending examinations for that year. And that’s all he wrote. No prescription was deemed necessary. No follow up visit.

But for those who tremble at the thought of stigma and ridicule, I say – if I had needed a prescription or other treatment, I would have taken it. And I would have patted myself on the back for being smart enough to recognise my mental illness and brave enough to seek treatment despite the threat of foolish mouthings.

    Go thee and do likewise!

Most people are not that smart or that brave, or that self-aware. Some are dragged kicking and screaming.

And some, even those, that have taken psychiatric histories as physicians, do not have the capacity to heal themselves!

Your post was total BS. And here’s why. Ms Mottley is a prime minister. She has a team. Donald Trump WAS a president. He had a team. She has made too many bad picks. So did Donald Trump.

The particular situation has nothing to do with Trump. But it reminded me of him. AND WITH GOOD REASON.

What you should have noticed is that Donald Trump is hardly mentioned on BU anymore. Fani and Jack are dealing with his stupid azz. No need for me to argue on BU about what expert lawyers will argue in court.

I am busy with Macron these days. And Joe Biden, because his foreign policy sucks, as did Obama’s. So has the foreign policy of EVERY American President.

If America disintegrates under Biden, I have no problem with that. It would have happened no matter the president. The stage had long been set for the empire to fall.

Africa’s freedom from oppression may be the result. That is what concerns ME.

You may have the last nasty word. You may even take a shot at my son again. We know THAT is your illness. You must be seen to win, no matter what it takes. Even on BU, where it hardly matters.

    Just like Donald Trump.

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I thought it was a local DLP female official where one can say it maybe political yardfowlism, though that’s no excuse for that type of low form and elevated level of disrespectful behavior. But all indications are it may be a US government official and her 11 year old daughter allegedly viciously assaulted in that vile, crass, low class, uncivilized manner. Dont know if she is city, state or federal government.

But they don’t care, once you carry the same skin tone as them, as a womab, they believe it gives them license and they are entitled to direct all that self hating venom at you. Too many of them are damaged like that…showoffs.

Another black eye for the island.

    • Btw…the Barbados contingent SHOULD NEVER be allowed in the Labor Day parade again at that level…

…that bridge should be thoroughly BURNT TO THE GROUND with that type of ill-mannered, uncivilized behavior…..they did that…

  36. The particular situation has nothing to do with Trump.

    EXACTLY

But it reminded me of him. AND WITH GOOD REASON

    WHAT GOOD REASON? LOL
    .
What you should have noticed is that Donald Trump is hardly mentioned on BU anymore.

I AM VERY HAPPY ABOUT THAT
AFTER ALL ITS BIDEN’S TIME.NOW. THAT IS WHAT I HAVE NOTICED. NO ONE GOES AFTER HIM AS THEY WENT AFTER TRUMP LOL LOL

I ENJOY HOW HE MAKES A LOT OF FOLK GO CRAZY

I HAVE NOTICED THAT A LOT OF GOOD STUFF IS NO LONGER MENTIONED ON BU ANYMORE

RE If America disintegrates under Biden, I have no problem with that. It would have happened no matter the president. The stage had long been set for the empire to fall.

BUT IT DID NOT HAPPEN UNDER TRUMP – THE MOST HATED MAN AFTER THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

THE MAN BETTER THAN A CAT WITH NINE LIVES

RE And some, even those, that have taken psychiatric histories as physicians, do not have the capacity to heal themselves!

    REALLY?

WHEN I GO TO THE DOCTOR I TELL THE DOCTOR HOW THIS DOCTOR WANT TO BE DOCTORED

WHAT INVESTIGATINS I WANT AND WHAT MEDICATINS I WILL NOT TAKE AND WHY
I ALSO DECIDE AND DEMAND ANY INVESTIGATIONS I TNINK I SHOULD HAVE
YOU MAKE ME LAUGH LOUDLY AND LONG

I have the much desired video. I am now in negotiation with both parties and will release the video shortly.

It pains me to tell you that all the stories you heard were incorrect or an outright lie.

    Stay tuned. More to come

Special warning: Frankie don’t believe everything that you read.

During the interview both parties became heated and blows were exchange. What was initially bad manners became a police matter.

My tapes were seized by NYPD. Making an effort to get them back.

NYPD returned the tapes to me and asked me to look at the tape with the incident.

I was cheated. A blurry sex tape was what I was sold? You cannot trust anyone.

    Apologies.

Note to Frankie.. No! You cannot see it. It does not exist.

  40. @David and @Artax re ‘a matter for US govt’ and ‘waiting for more info to shake out’ … this is really more a nuisance, scandal intended gotcha type story than one of substance.

Surely, the US State dept diplomatic Corp would not waste time with this type of BS !

Now, of course if this was a Jamaican CG and s/he had upbraided a NY city councilor like dat den … just maybe we may have had a story … wink, 😉 😜…!

But seriously tho, anyone familiar wid de big apple and US generally knows of de ‘bajan’ Shirley Chisholm who was a long lived elected official out of NY … and has a lovely nature walk/park in her name right there in NYC.

And of course besides that standout there are many other West Indian American elected officials past and present like Yvette Clarke who work closely with the West Indian community … this story goes against ALL those core elements of common sense, political sensibilities and even common decency (who refuses a mum and daughter a plate of food and some water on such a festival day … especially in that situation, unless you have some type of personal stupidness afoot!)

In short, it makes absolutely no sense and seems to be the rantings of drunk people either from some great rum punch or grand delusions of power!

    Just saying.

  41. Dont know how they think this wont make the rounds of NYC journalist circle..

….wuh even i know one or 2 and already shared.

..the all consuming ignorant, dangerous, disrespectful SHOWOFF slave mind need disabling from its embarrassing role of sharing blight….they have nothing to offer anyone…glad to see them embarrassing their political masters more and more and at every turn……shame and disgrace them and their fowls..

Waiting for the next one. ….soon cone…they have set records enuff in the last 4 months….with their scandal making…looking good… we want more..

  42. The same ‘council woman” unless things have changed, means city….can shut their shit down….and there they are….talking down to her, sticking their finger in her face, pretending they got power in NY when they KNOW they int got none..

It’s well and widely known they have no damn respect for anyone and believe everyone else should lower their standards to meet them at gutter level…another bunch of wannabes…hence now tripping over themselves to fix this quick..

..but it should come with very SEVERE consequences…in lieu of knowing they dont know how to act respectful to those who look like them and it will happen again….so based on that, i would shut their shit right down permanently, no one needs these beggars..

For those who did not hear well…the lady who apparently had a hand in helping them get into the parade was begging them for nothing as the low class was trying to project…she apparently had complimentary seats and entitled to partake in whatever was available…it’s the SHOWOFF ruined everything as they always do…

  43. What is even more troubling, very disturbing, apparently the uppity mind sickness of the DISRESPECTFUL has so evolved that they dont see anything wrong with the alleged assault of an 11 year old child by a stupid adult…in front her mother, and disrespecting a mother in front of her child for absolutely no reason..

…par for the course IN Barbados on every given day…but NOT tolerated in societies that dont view being uncivilized in these social settings as cute.

And these commenters trying to project it’s not that serious…want sensible people to take them seriously when they have NO CREDIBILITY. ..shameful..

They thought they could pull that crap with my situation too….but they better not let me catch them anywhere near my warpath…or they will be mercilessly MOWED DOWN…..they are too ignorant at every level..

  44. Only death can stop Donald Trump from winning the next US presidential elections.

For if he’s in prison, he wins. Hands down. Once a relatively less fraudulent voting process is seen as satisfactory, free of handcuffs!

If so, he must thank his political enemies within the deep state and elsewhere.

And yes, we maintain that Trump is and has always been an asshole.

This is unlikely to get any better.

A geriatric, who given the nature of American’s other geriatrics in power, like Biden and McCollin, we can’t but feel sorry for a hapless American people who themselves are prisoners, in open air, to an irreparably corrupt and dying empire.

However Trump too, will again find that deep state forces constitute all the effective power in Washington and under implicit threat of death he too will tow the line, again!

The nature of an abnormal normalcy as empire hastens its end.

They are proud of that disgusting, disrespecful poisonous slave minded behavior and had the temerity to practice it in New York in public.

They will all now come with WARNINGS, as they should.. and just as deserved….it was bound to happen one day..

The head is poisonous. The head got on ITV London and told the whole world that bajans were slaveminded, and NEVER lifted a finger to reverse the damage….since then people have been watching and KNEW there would be a manifestation..

That is their problem, but they need to keep that poison in Barbados and resist spreading it to other societies, or forcing Black women and their children offshore to accept that disgusting behavior, they practice so freely on the island, because it makes the low class feel important, and believe it’s a good look..can’t hide or cover it up anymore, it has gone on for far too long. Every dog gets it’s day.

It’s a terrible embarrassment but am sure that is not the sentiment felt. We know the mindsets too well.

  48. I’ve seen a video, dated July 14, 2020, of Mottley’s interview by ‘Ben and Kate’ on iTV’s ‘Good Morning Britain,’ during which I did not hear her say anything to suggest “Bajans were slaveminded.” Unless she made such comments on another occasion she appeared on iTV.

  49. “ the Consul General of Barbados in New York, Mackie Holder, one Brian Corbin who is apparently an advisor to the Barbados Ministry of Culture, and others, and a female New York State elected official”.

Is this female New York State elected official a member of the CIA or some other clandestine operation? No effort has been spared in naming the Barbadian Consul General or the consultant to the Ministry YET the Lady is repeatedly referred to as the New York State elected official.

    Fair and balanced reporting?

  51. I remember years ago when the DBLP gang, hand in hand with the crooked minorities were working overtime to get the internet out of Barbados because the dead cow said, “the internet did not suit Barbados,” like who gave that pos pus, riff raff thief, the right to say what is suitable for a black majority country other than dangerous wicked traitor politicians….

Then muttley came out all hot and sweaty bellowing while in opposition, that ” social media and the internet will marginalize the Barbados government” which translated to :

ALL THEIR EVIL CRIMINAL CORRUPTION with the same minorites at the meeting …will become undone, EXPOSED TO THE WORLD, harder to hide and perpetrate…and what they have hidden from the Afrikan descended population about their ancestry will be revealed….as a fly on the wall of that meeting said….”these dangerous sobs should be IN PRISON…”

Fast forward from 2018 to April 2023…and you could not get the same determined remover of the internet who suddenly became an internet star, prior to that, i had to tell them, wunna only have shite power in corrupt Barbados, nowhere else…but no one could remove the internet remover and youtube star…off the internet after election ….they were here, there and everywhere giving interviews, they were on ITV London more than once and every other media that would have them…spewing shite…..they were paying their dumb sheep slaves to post even more shite to promote them.

One thing’s for sure…with video available everywhere, they cant say they never said this or that…it’s all on RECORD.

Now here they all are, famous Enuff…or famous Amos, all pukeworthy spectacles.

  52. I did not know NY state had council women…..i know women have taken over the SEAT OF POWER THERE recently..at least 4..eg…attorney general…lieutenant governor etc…so i guess we have to wait and see if it’s city or state…that is confusion there right away..if they cant figure out which branch…. but still defending…lol

Me thinks someone is a little confused…NYS is Albany upstate NY, a completely different seat of power to NY city councils and their members. …who are more likely to be involved in organizing the Labor Day parade in NYC, than Albany…

It’s very difficult to blame other people for your uncouth lack of manners and total disrespect for women and children IN PUBLIC

….”the CIA made me do it”…. dont hold water..not when disrespect of African women… is a national pastime in Barbados and on anonymous blogs…remember people observe…as i WARNED FOR YEARS…. .

  54. No one can ever claim that Bajans don’t have a sense of humour, imagine complaining about a blog piece by commenting on it thus drawing more eyes to the said piece.

Then again I saw a report on an assault with a shovel on the online paper and it was accompanied by a photo of a shovel or how about the caption writer who wrote in the same paper something along the lines “King sent to jail after Prince denies knowing him” yuh gotta read the piece to get the gist of the story, Bajans are a funny people..

Meeting Scheduled to Resolve Dispute Involving the Barbados N.Y. Consul General

U.S. Congresswoman Yvette Clarke will host a meeting on Monday to resolve a dispute over an alleged encounter involving Barbados’ Consul General in New York Mackie Holder and a New York council woman.

The alleged incident occurred on a bus during the recent Labour Day West Indian Carnival in Brooklyn.

A statement from sources close to the Barbados Consul General says that Mr. Holder unequivocally denies the allegations that he verbally abused a New York Assembly Member.

The statement claims that several people who were on the bus and witnessed what occurred have vehemently denied what was alleged in various social media posts.

Meantime, an entity called the Caribbean Guyana Institute for Democracy is insisting that there was indeed an encounter over the assembly member’s attempt to obtain refreshments on the bus.

The organisation has urged that Mr. Holder be sanctioned over the matter.

Starcom Network News has been told that CARICOM Consular officials have reached out to the Barbados consulate and, in light of the differing account, have been working to bring the parties together.

That meeting takes place on Monday hosted by Congresswoman Clarke and will also be attended by the senior Barbados diplomat in the United States, Noel Lynch, Barbados’ Ambassador to the USA and the OAS.

In an interview with Starcom Network News, President of the Caribbean Guyana Institute Rickford Burke, who has been a leading voice in highlighting the incident, says he’s happy that a meeting is being held to resolve the matter.

      https://starcomnetwork.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/rick0906.mp3

But he continues to insist it should never have occurred.

    • Probe into claim of verbal abuse by Barbadian diplomat

      Article by
      Barbados Today

      Published on
      September 8, 2023

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Kerrie Symmonds has requested a report regarding allegations that the island’s Consul General in New York Mackie Holder had verbally abused a New York councilwoman.

But Holder has vehemently denied the claim.

The encounter is alleged to have taken place during Monday’s West Indian American Day Carnival.

The Caribbean Guyana Institute for Democracy (CGID) had issued a press release harshly condemning Holder’s behaviour on a Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI)-sponsored bus which formed part of the Labour Day parade.

“We in the Caribbean American community will not tolerate this kind of [behaviour],” wrote Director of Communications for CGID Richard Millington about the alleged incident.

Consequently, he is no longer welcome in our community. CGID joins with others in the New York Caribbean American community to demand that the Consul General immediately offer an unqualified, written apology to the elected official. Moreover, we also plan to be a signatory to a letter Caribbean American community leaders plan to write to the Prime Minister of Barbados demanding that Holder be recalled from New York forthwith,” he added.

While Symmonds told Barbados TODAY on Wednesday that he had requested a report regarding the claims, the Consul General himself was adamant that the entire incident was a fabrication.

“All I have to say is that it never happened. Anybody who was there can tell you it never happened. I think I know how to conduct myself. It never happened. If anything, the lady [the US official] was the aggressor,” he told Barbados TODAY in a telephone interview.

“Nobody on . . . the bus abused her.… Put a hand in her face? It never happened.”

The press release from the CGID claimed the situation unfolded when the US official who was playing mas, saw the bus in the parade and hopped on to greet the occupants and ask for water.

CGID president Rickford Burke also posted the allegations on his Facebook page, which attracted mixed reactions. Some demanded that Holder be sent packing back to Barbados, while others insisted that people should refrain from making premature judgements in the absence of all the facts.

    • Is it unreasonable for taxpayers of Barbados to expect an official response to the accusation that was leveled? What is our respectable fourth estate doing to close this matter?

Mackie Holder to take up new position
      Article by Akeel
Barbados Consul General in New York Mackie Holder is taking up a new position as early as next month.
      https://www.nationnews.com/nationnews/news/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2023/09/Mackie-Holder-to-take-up-new-position.png

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley announced Sunday night that he will be heading to London to be the Deputy High Commissioner there.

The news of the change came towards the end of a town hall meeting held at St Francis College Auditorium in Brooklyn, New York.

Mottley thanked Holder for his work in New York noting that at least three of his years there were taken up with the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I look forward to you continuing to represent Barbados,” she said to those who attended the meeting which was hosted by the Consulate General of Barbados at New York.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Kerrie Symmonds, who also attended the meeting, also commended Holder for his contributions in helping to connect communities in that jurisdiction, adding he was looking forward to him building more bridges for a better Barbados going forward. (CM)

  66. @ David
This stinks real bad. This is really who we are. It reminds me of a sport’s coach who was able to relocate to another country unimpeded with no questions asked. We really have a sordid form of governance in Barbados.

    • These politicians continue waste taxpayers money on useless jobs. Ask the late deputy Johnson what he occupied him in the job besides visiting the pubs.

    • David, perhaps there is an ‘unwritten rule’ that political parties are obligated to reward their political goons and operatives

  67. David, Holder’s transfer/relocation suggests an incident occurred? But, not serious enough to warrant his dismissal? However, in the interest of transparency and accoutability, the report should be available to the public and Holder relocated to Barbados instead.

  68. How do you ask a dead person if all he did for taxpayers’ money was visit pubs? Now the PM posts the disgraced consul general to London after the carnival debacle. Nice reward if you can get it. Party time in the pubs for Motleys henchman Mackie.

Is there a deputy HC in London? Who is the High Commissioner? Does anyone know? What do those people do to live the life of Riley. Do they impact the lives of the frail men and women of Bim staring at a lack of food on a daily basis?

What’s the news of Morris a so-called man of the cloth from cawmere who like the blog master expended an inordinate amount of energy to oust the DLP out of office. Wasnt he in London HC office. The Dems are no more but the expensive joyrides of BLP politicians their family and friends continue.

With the return of the Mack will there be developments on bread and butter issues to assist taxpayers? Of course reports of such matters will be sent from the back of a chauffeur driven limo? Dead men dont tell tales blog guy or do they?

  69. The action of Mia worsened what was already a bad odor.
I was giving Mr Holder the benefit of the doubt because the odor was emanating from what appeared to be a single source.

If things had continued as they were, I would have felt the whole situation was an attempt to smear Mr Holder, but this transfer is indicative that there is an actual issue. There is substance to the accusations.

Did NYC officials indicate that Mr Holder should be removed?
Is removal of Mr Holder from the ‘scene of the crime’s a first step. Will more punitive actions follow.

I am somewhat amused that our greatest speaker of all times have no words for the ordinary citizens. Soon we will have someone telling us “such observations may be too high for simple minds”.

What arrogance! Instead of explaining, they insult

  70. The blogmaster handling of this issue was exceptional. As his error rate is slightly less than 100%, he should be expected to occasionally get a few things right.

    Go blogmaster.

    • It seems to a lowly blogmaster that the role of a Diaspora Officer can be supported by expanding or amending the job description of the Consul General, deputy and or both. No need to saddle taxpayers with additional personnel.

      Big plans for diaspora officers

by CAROL MARTINDALE in New York GOVERNMENT PLANS to have diaspora officers in all major cities across the globe as it seeks to better facilitate the needs and interests of Barbadians living overseas.
This was announced on Sunday night by Minister of Foreign Affairs Kerrie Symmonds who was speaking to Barbadians attending the town hall meeting at the St Francis College Auditorium in Brooklyn, United States, which was hosted by the Barbados Consulate in New York.
Discussing some of the plans for a new diaspora policy, Symmonds, who is also in the Big Apple for the United Nations General Assembly, appealed to Barbadians in the audience to make their voices heard.
“In shaping that policy, we want to find a way to have your voice be heard in the design of that policy. Some of the things we want you to be able to do easily is to be able to invest in some of the bonds the Government of Barbados is floating.
“We want to be able to have a presence in looking after and facilitating the interests of those in the community,” he added.
Symmonds, who accompanied Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley at the town hall meeting which started around 7 p.m., also spoke of the Barbados Network Programme for returning nationals which was digitalised and made available online from April. It was formerly known as the Returning Nationals Programme.
“It is now a refined system. It is online, it is easily accessible. It is seamless, it is supposed to be interactive,” he said, noting they have received just over 130 applications since it was activated.
“I also know because I have checked that 118, moving towards 120, have been successfully done.
But we are going to be depending on you to tell us how effective our online space and our online presence has been,” he added.
Symmonds also addressed concerns and calls by some in the diaspora for a better immigration policy which would allow those living overseas to be able to return home. He said that draft legislation was now completed.
The Senior Minister with responsibility for the productive sectors said that as the diplomatic footprint spreads further, officials realise there are more people who want to be able to contribute to Barbados in a positive way, but the necessary legislation must be put in place.
He said the committee to facilitate this has been working in the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, noting it was a work in progress.
“We are in the United States at a critical time. There are some issues that are important to us in Barbados and to you as Barbadians who live overseas whose interest in the country continues day in, day out. But, to make ourselves relevant and our voices heard, sometimes we need a little help.
“The voices of the people in the diaspora matter . . . . We want you all to become engaged as a voice outside of Barbados, representing the interest of the people living in Barbados who are fighting big battles, battles such as climate change, battles such as justice, finance. Play your part and let your voice be heard because there is a Government here that has to be persuaded that they need to work a little bit closer with those of us who are a little bit more vulnerable in the world,” he said.
Symmonds added that Government was building out a relationship with academia around the world, especially in the United States, as he underscored the importance of the choice of the venue for the meeting.
“So, this fits very neatly into the grand plan and grand design as we not only try to get to the brightest and the best to partner with Barbados, but also to get our students to be global students, even though they have Barbadian roots. Without you in the diaspora there is no us,” he said, as he thanked Barbadians in New York for their support and Consul General Mackie Holder for his contributions.

  71. GOVERNMENT PLANS to have diaspora officers in all major cities across the globe as it seeks to better facilitate the needs and interests of Barbadians living overseas.
    ++++++++++

David Thompson spoke about the “fatted calf” there is another matching program by this Gov’t it is called “The Golden fleece” as in fleecing the taxpayers of Barbados by creating new posts to reward supporters; what Diaspora officers what? What is the role of the Consul General or similarly positioned officers at all the overseas offices? No wonder Bajans are reluctant in paying taxes when they see their money being used to give political hangers on free money.

  72. Dear Sir/Madam
This short note is to express my interest in being a Diaspora officer. Great minds think alike; for it recently dawned on me that I could serve my country in such a role.

Look at the savings in hiring me… no money spent in relocating me, no money spent in house hunting, no first and last month rent only the rent of my current apartment.

As I am familiar with my area, I know how where to shop to stretch a dollar which should result in a lower expense account.

I look forward to returning home two or three times a year to deliver my reports. I still have relatives there so expenses will again be at a minimum.

Wishing you success with this endeavour. You can call on me to support any other brilliant ideas you have.

    Yours sincerely
    Lorenzo John

  73. Is London the new Siberia? It certainly has its bright lights, but they pale in comparison to New York, Deputy HC’s tend to fade into the woodwork and people will begin to ask Mack who? However an occasional garden tea with other members of the diplomatic corps at the invitation of Bonnie Prince (sorry) King Charles may ease the disappointment and he can ask our friend “Enuff” for some pointers on navigating London.

Since someone wrote about “Return of the Mack” here is the original by a fellow Bajan Mark Morrison

  74. I would love to hear more of what happened in New York.
A statement from the government would be appreciated.
Closed lips and a a transfer of staff are all we heard.

Will we allow this government of transparency to hide everything?
Are matters relating to the sexual survey completed?
Will we allow this government of transparency to hide everything?
Speak up! Not you! the government.

  75. I make an effort to tie knots together. This is mainly because we are forgetful of events that occur more than two minutes in the past.

One would think that after the sexual survey fiasco, our Ministry of Education would be thoughtful and cautious in how it acts. That thought would have been wrong.

I am from the school of thought that
“if you have power and do not use it then you do not truly know if you have that power”.
Our Min of Ed is from an even more radical school of thought
“if you have power, you must abuse it to let folks know who the boss is”

This Min of Ed is so pumped up that it display the rage one associates with steroid use …
It kicked teachers and principals out of the classroom and neglect to inform parents about the sexual survey. There was no penalty for this abuse and what was a flagrant violation of student and parents rights.

One would think that they would lay low and tread softly. That thought would have been wrong.

The Min of ED descended on school leadership like thieves in the night literally and routed them (both literally and figuratively).

Twas the night before school start, when all thro’ the house,
    Not a principal was stirring, not even a spouse;
The work clothes prepared and hung with care,
In hopes that first day of school he was well prepared
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of friends playing danc’d in their heads,
When out of the blue phones started to ring
    It was cruel Min of Ed doing its own thing ;
You! Don’t go to St James
    Go to St Michael instead
    You have a longer commute
So get your ass out of bed
And You! You have been demoted
We now have an idea of how you last voted
And You! Forget about that promotion
You have been transferred to a brand new location
And then he shouted “:Don’t you dare think I am done
I can assure you that there is more shit to come
And his last words after giving teachers a fright
Happy Monday to all, and to all a good night.
Do you know than Min Of Ed Clown
Was using a land line as I heard it slammed down

  76. Other education changes are in the works, I heard a snippet from a speech by Straughn at a constituency meeting where he spoke of coming changes to allocation of schools from the11 plus examination. The proposals have merit, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. If you think that there was furor over the survey, wait until the Government tries to implement this program, it is aiming at an egalitarian model when it comes to secondary schools but try telling that to parents when their beloved Johnny or Jane doesn’t get to go to HC or QC.
