Barbados: Shifting from Vision to Action

I am curious. Is there going to be any diversification of this economy? Seems to be the same tune all the time.

Dr. Robert Lucas

For all the years Barbados Underground has been in existence the recognition that there is an uncomfortable dependence on tourism has been discussed. Every election cycle aspiring politicians follow the script by promising all things pie in the sky. However no fundamental change has taken place since the Tom Adams era – he died in 1985, thirty four years ago.

Last week the Barbados International Business Association (BIBA) celebrated international business week October 20 – 26, 2019. Out of the several discussions held mention was made of the Estonia and Rwanda experience.

In just over 20 years Rwanda has transformed how it does business after being a strife torn country  with the genocide (Tutsis and Hutus). A simple explanation is that they worked successfully to change the mindset of the people.

Estonia has also been held up as a beacon of success post the breakup of the Soviet bloc. The world has witnessed the leadership of that country transition Estonia to a foreign system of government.  It is considered the model digital society.

Why have these two countries been able to translate a vision to action?

There has to be a realistic vision that will resonate with the local population.

Then it is left to the leadership stupid!

  1. First things first

“…vi·sion (vĭzh′ən) n. 1. a. The faculty of sight; eyesight: poor vision. b. Something that is or has been seen. 2. Unusual competence in discernment or perception; intelligent foresight: a leader of vision. 3. The manner in which one sees or conceives of something. 4. A mental image produced by the …”

For one to “shift” for something ONE FIRST HAS TO BE “THERE” FOR SAID SHIFT TO OCCUR.

How can anyone, rather you Honourable Blogmaster, expect that there can be auto combustion towards “Diversification”?

And even you, in your estimation sorry projection of diversification have pigeonholed it into video that seem to focus on digital diversification.

If there is no VISION at Mugabe’s level NOR NO FACILITATION OF A VISION BY HER, THEN WE ARE FOREVER IN STASIS.

Now, if you were to ask about how such facilitation can occur, that is another question.

But de ole man gine preempt that question by telling you, IT CANNOT AND WILL NOT OCCUR IN AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE GOVERNMENT STEALS THE INTELLECTUAL CONTRIBUTIONS OF ITS CITIZENS

And your Mugabe is known to be a teif like that.

A pity she cant “steal way” for her drug lord friends in the same way SO THAT OUR KILLING SPREE CAN END!

Later de ole man gine come back and speak to the how.

Cause I am curious to see how the gurus like the Rented Jackasses are going to contribute anything here

    Heheheheh

  2. Both parasitic governments have LIED TO AND DECEIVED the people continuously for decades, that is their only CLAIM TO FAME, they do not want to change the mindset of the people, they prefer keep them as VICTIMS to complete their narrow, wicked, corrupt agendas….or it would have been done decades ago with all the big boasting we keep hearing about the high literacy rate…and it would have been the VERY FIRST THING this government did upon being elected…but that was and will NEVER… be the intent…not as long as these backward, garden variety trash keep being elected to parliament.

  3. Posting blogs like this one that encourage commenters to offer suggestions to assist others in authority is the reason this blogmaster is discourages. Some of us are happy to spout the same BS every day.

  4. “Unusual competence in discernment or perception; intelligent foresight: a leader of vision.”

NO CHANGES until ya can get this happening…spouting the same BULLSHIT EVERY may make ya PRETEND leaders WITH THEIR FAKE god COMPLEX see the error of their ways…maybe they will then SEEK REAL KNOWLEDGE, RELEASE THE PEOPLE FROM MENTAL BONDAGE….and REALIZE that there are other better PROGRESSIVE actions OUTSIDE OF TIEF, TIEF, TIEF, and LIE, LIE, LIE…the same repetitous BULLSHIT that it is as clear as day HAS and WILL CONTINUE leading the island TO NOWHERE..

But i will not hold my breath, you can though..lol

They claim to have all the answers, they do not need any ideas.,.but NEED TO BE REMINDED…,OF THEIR CRIMES AGAINST THE PEOPLE..

  5. @ the Honourable Blogmaster

I am , for the sake of discussion, going to assume that you are serious about this topic.

You seek to advance Barbados Underground as what be be the de facto virtual port for Ideas Collection for the Advancement of Barbados.

i will try to strategically down play the fact that said site is where you will seek to get peoples ideas for free

My reason being is that your efforts are COUNTERINTUITIVE and will fail because of these following reasons.

1.people DO NOT LIKE GETTING SCREWED or, so that you understand that statement better: people want to get paid for what they do.

2.For you to even be seriously considered as a site for such collection and collation you need to have a charter from the very same government that you are trolling ideas for.

3.This charter HAS TO BE A WRITTEN DOCUMENT which clearly enunciates what are the roles, responsibilities and rights.

4.The have to be written into law because the Barbados government’s track record with laws to protect citizens rights is abominable

5.People whose ideas you are trolling need to know that when your government which lacks any vision does things that violate our rights, like stealing our intellectual property, they will be punished to the fullest extent when they break the law. And not protected live Donville Inniss

6.ideally we would pray that the government would create, or uphold the laws it has already created, to help keep people’s ideas/property safe and safeguard their rights.

since we know that your government IS TEIVES, WHAT WE THE PEOPLE WILL PROPOSE AS A BEGIN POINT is an Intellectual Property Guarantee Program.

in practice the mechanism will operate like the Credit Guarantee Scheme of the Central Bank where (a) a person will provide a summary project document that very briefly outlines a concept and baseline costs (b) Post Evaluation a decision will be made on the idea efficacy (c) collaboration agreements between government and the parties will be signed about the profit sharing aspects of the joint initiative (c) a premium will be paid to an Insurer for an Variable Valuation Escrow Guarantee Scheme which, if the IP asset is misappropriated BY THE GOVERNMENT, as is RH normal, the private sector party is paid the value of the Escrow.

the Variable Valuation addresses the realised value of the Intellect Property under Management as it the Asset is ACTUALIZED and the value of the IP increases.

An independent 3rd party appointed by the Inter American Development Bank shall act as the Arbitrator WHEN THE GOVERNMENT OF BARBADOS TEIF DE IDEA.

No Barbados court or Arbitration Authority will be relied on in this Facility

De ole man, being an Expert in dese Tings, though I have not been to school past 11 years, DOES NOT EXPECT THE BLP TO IMPLEMENT THIS FACILITY.

However the 18 to 12 government of the People’s Party for Democracy and Development will bring such a Facility on Board because it is a genuinely transparent and accountable government

I hope you post this idea cause I realizing dat you opposing de ole man regularly nowadays CAUSE YOUR PEEPLE DUN TEL YOU TO FIND AN EXCUSE AND BAN ME

    heheheheheheheheheh

A genuine item as promised to move the subject matter is a positive direction is in suspense.

    Grateful for your assistance please

  7. @ David BU

Political vision is not something that originates with the political leader. He merely articulates the aspirations of the people. He may interpret these ; but he needs to check with the people from time to time to see whether he is on track or is derailed.

I think very often some politicians’ egos and personal agenda obstruct the national vision. They take on Messianic roles without the necessary training and competence.

    • @Vincent

Do not understand your point. Agree the vision must resonate with the people but is it not also true some wise men and women among us see the future much clearer and the challenge will be to communicate the path to those with lack of vision (people)?

  8. @ David BU at 9 :53 AM

I think you understand my point quite well. You do not agree , and that is OK. We tend to believe what we hear and read ever so often. It is subliminal and natural.

Leaders listen to the people. They hear there concerns and strive to achieve them. Grantley Adams heard the cries of the masses for social justice and their need to participate in their governance .He responded and led them to a wider/higher level of democracy and equality.

Sir James Tudor saw the great demand for education and incorporated “free”secondary education in the DLP manifesto of 1961.

Tom Adams heard the cries of the masses for a piece of the rock and an end to the located labour system and he articulated it and instituted it.

There is no supply without demand. The demand comes from the people.

Barbadians are more intelligent than most of us think.

    • @Vincent

Often times the ordinary man cannot see what is around the corner because of a limited exposure. Others more enlightened – our leaders – must lead the way. Part is f the job is to communicate effectively to those who are unable to see.

  9. David BU

I know that you believe in a meritocracy with a cast(e) iron system. In this specific case one made up of people with impaired vision , people with 20 /20 vision and purblind people. I do not.
The days of hero worship is over. Anyone that wants to exalt himself must come with more than a teaspoon of humility.

  10. “Barbadians are more intelligent than most of us think.”

indeed they are but DECADES OLD suppression and oppressive TACTICS…by the criminals in the bar association, parliament and the minority community has rendered them HELPLESS…unless that MENTAL BONDAGE IS LIFTED…nothing changes.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Or as I said…..” Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down in the most delightful way!”

As I said last week, I have heard wisdom coming from what many would term the lowliest of places. I consider myself smart not because I have generated all the answers but because I know how to collect them from those who have them, wherever they be. Ivory tower graduates often need lessons in reality and practicality from those on the ground. They ignore this at their peril and that of all of us.

Another quip from last week, the most important thing I learnt from Elsie Payne is that even a sheep’s baa has value. We should learn to listen to it. Just think, a sheep’s frantic bleating can warn us that a pack of wolves is coming!

  15. Scam, Scam, Scam.

“The fact that Four Seasons may be a private company does not matter since the fact that it has approached the state, and other regional and international bodies for funding means that, even if legally its corporate structure remains private, morally it has lost the innocence of that private protection.

It is therefore now imperative that Four Seasons and its executive and senior management teams be treated in the same way as a listed firm: publish a full set of its audited accounts, from the day it was first registered; publish all its business plans, including the small tweaks and changes, from the first, last and all those in between; list all its professional advisers and their full and detailed remuneration; name the full executive team and the history of their remuneration; list the founding shareholders, their percentage of equity and any changes over the years. Who are the main shareholders now?”

Fellow Barbadians and all BU readers,
When analyzed from any angle, whether it be political, social, or economic, the country of Barbados and its institutions have shown a marked decline over the past 40 years (I agree with William Skinner on this point). However, some bloggers would want us believe that the so-called political class is responsible for all of that downward slide. I do not subscribe to such a view.

Actually, the cause of much of Barbados’ decay can be laid squarely on the shoulders of its citizens. We have nourished and nurtured nationally destructive attitudes. We have aided and abetted widescale corruptive practices.

In this example, we have a blogger insinuating that the Rt. Hon. Mia Mottley, current PM of Barbados, entered the House of Assembly to represent her constituents as a 19-year old without the benefit of a tertiary education. He is also arguing that she collected taxpayers’ money as a parliamentarian for 35 years and practically did little or nothing worthwhile over that long time period.

Actually, the current PM entered the House of Assembly at the dawn of her 29th birthday, and she has been a parliamentarian for only 25 years.

The blogger issuing these falsehoods were advised to check the accuracy of his calculations. After checking and recalculating, he ought to have exhibited a mature and responsible attitude by issuing an apology to BU readers, and by pledging to be more accurate and circumspect with respect to his future submissions. Instead, not surprisingly, a puerile and asinine attack was launched against the person offering him good advice.

BU is a microcosm of the wider Barbadian society. Loans from the IMF, IDB, World Bank, and CDB, along with savings (regardless of the quantum) from debt restructuring will not help Barbados if our citizens continue to manifest negative attitudes and act violently upon malicious and envious impulses.

I would not at all be surprised if the seeds of some of the 40-odd murders committed in Barbados this year were germinated by a blatant refusal to heed good advice.

  21. @ Donna

I am going to send you these two posts.

One is a question and the other one a response to a question you asked earlier.

Here is an internet article about persons in “high positions” who, after making disgusting online statements, WERE FORCED TO RESIGN

“…“Offensive” social media posts made by an Adelaide construction boss included slurs against female politicians including former PM Julia Gillard.

Mario Romaldi was appointed to the board of SA’s Multicultural and Ethnic Affairs Commission but was forced to resign after a number of crude social posts he had made came to light…”

    Or

“…Veteran war correspondent and NYU fellow at the Center on Law and Security Nir Rosen sparked outrage when he made offensive and insensitive tweets in the wake of the news that CBS chief foreign correspondent Lara Logan had suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault.

Comments like “I’m rolling my eyes at all the attention she’ll get” and “it would have been funny if it happened to Anderson too,” didn’t earn Rosen any online friends.

After backtracking and apologizing for his statements — after first claiming that he didn’t know the severity of the attack when he made his comments — Rosen resigned from NYU…”

As a woman who is so conscious of the comments of us chauvinist pigs share with me your feelings about your golden boy Walter Blackman’s remarks about 12 year old jiggling botsies?

    Spare me nothing Donna

  22. @ Donna

Earlier you asked if the rumour that Walter or Grenville was floating about the ole man and the PdP was true?

I will admit that I’m not sure which rumour you are referring to but, given the fact that it’s either one of the two, I will assume that it is either dat (1) de ole man is going to run for a seat with de PdP or (2) i am working for the PdP

I am going to answer like how the Honourable Blogmaster answers when we ask him if he sold Barbados Underground or has new partners.

Neither of these statements are true AT THIS TIME!

Having said de above DE OLE MAN TOO OLD TO RUN FOR NO POLITICS AT DIS TIME.

Secondly, they HAVE TO BRING DELIVERABLES BEFORE THEY CAN GET IN THE HOA.

I dont want no more pretty talk.

Thirdly, WITH ALL THE CONSPIRACY TALK CIRCULATING ABOUT ATHERLEY BEING A MIA PLANT I would need more substantive proof of this being a lie.

Things that would do this for me are.

1.Atherley would have to do some serious disruptive outreaches for me. Like

A.rely on his expert colleague team more in and out of Parliament.

B.present a clear succession plan where he is publicly seen as affirming a plan that categorically and constitutionally provides for a continuum

C.make the subvention happen by using all the numerous avenues that are available to him, including carrying Mia Mottley to court including the CCJ.

D.taking a harder line against the Mugabe Mottley Regime e.g. the White Oaks issues, union issues,

E.doing things to get the party visible and getting his people out there.

    F.improve his oratory skills

    G.spearhead some Crime reduction initiatives

H.HAVE every PdP candidate field 1 specific initiative that shows that they know what they are doing

AND START DOING ALL OF THIS WHILE HE IS IN OPPOSITION STARTING TODAY, WITHOUT THE GOVERNMENT SUBVENTION.

Remember Donna that my position HAS NOT CHANGED ABOUT THE DUOPOLY and the retiring of these musical chairs actors.

Time for a caring government that does not talk.

    AND WILL NOT TEIF!

    Hope this helps

    “@ walter Blackman
I piece uh de cock yeah tight AM NOW GOING TO REAM YOU TO THE FULLEST WALTER.”

My fellow Barbadians and BU readers,
BU is a microcosm of the wider Barbadian society. Therefore, I feel quite comfortable and justified in using random samples of attitudes generated here by bloggers to make inferences about the general population.

We have all been endowed by our creator with individual gifts and talents. We have an alienable right to legally create, pursue, and grasp all opportunities which would enable us to develop these talents to help ourselves, our family, our fellow man, and our country.

Black Barbadians, generally speaking, seem to have a different, but sickeningly warped view of the use of their talents vis-à-vis the talents of others. We seem to think that our sole purpose for living is to seek out people who look like us, identify their objectives, and then spend the rest of our lives trying to make sure they never achieve these objectives. In doing so, we put our own talents under a bushel.

The amount of self-loathing and malicious envy that Black Barbadians hold for each other manifests itself on a daily and widespread basis.

If a black Barbadian were to simply add on a wall structure at the back of his/her house to provide a “water toilet and bath”, you can bet your last dollar that a black neighbor is going to rush to the Town & Country Planning Department with the singular aim of having that structure demolished.

Artaxerxes keeps reminding us that “foreigners” have been allowed to “set up shop” outside of the Fairchild Street market, and they flout the law by selling food without licenses and without having toilet facilities available.
You can bet your last dollar that should a black Barbadian come down with a sickness caused by e-coli or salmonella bacteria after eating in Fairchild Street, that person will tell the health authorities they last ate at some village shop being run by a perceived up-and- coming prosperous black Bajan. They will do so with the singular aim of getting the business of that innocent black Barbadian closed down. Malice and envy at work.

These self-defeating attitudes are creating yawning gaps of vulnerability for others to use against us as a people. As Bajans would say: “ Don’t fool your foot”, these gaps of vulnerability are being ruthlessly exploited by people who don’t look like us. Indians, Syrians, Lebanese, Jews, Muslims, Gentiles, Sadducees, Pharisees and all types of “curly haired” Toms, Dicks, and Harrys can come to Barbados and proceed to thrive and prosper quickly with little or no difficulty.

Most black people in Barbados would be advised to buy a lot of handkerchiefs from here on. We, our children, our grand-children, and our great-grand-children will be crying for a long, long, time.
The perennial tears will be truly and richly deserved. We brought them upon ourselves. It all started by the envy and malice which we stored in our hearts and viciously unleashed upon each other.

I weep for you,’ the Walrus said:
    I deeply sympathize.’
With sobs and tears he sorted out
    Those of the largest size,
    Holding his pocket-handkerchief
    Before his streaming eyes.

    O Oysters,’ said the Carpenter,
    You’ve had a pleasant run!
Shall we be trotting home again?’
But answer came there none —
And this was scarcely odd, because
    They’d eaten every one.”

  25. Oh for Christ’s sake! I did not understand Walter to be advocating that the twelve years olds should be used to generate foreign exchange. I took him to mean when they grow up..

Now, I do not wuk up because it was and is not the custom of my family (we only do a little wine) but I have seen others do so in a tasteful fashion. It is indeed our culture. It is also a talent, just as the belly dancing of some from the Middle East and the hula of the Hawaiians.

I do not consider it exploitation when grown women decide to be back up dancers and the like unless it is done in a tasteless way that demeans them as mere sex objects for the use, misuse and abuse of men instead of equal partners in a sensual experience. Almost all dance has an element of sensuousness that celebrates the human form and the sexual tension between men and women that is, after all, quite natural, and worthy of celebration.

I don’t hear anyone crying down Latin dance which we all know can get quite steamy. That is because it is tastefully done with an element of romance and playfulness.

In the particular video I recall that the girls were dancing alone and were not being man-handled.

  26. @ Donna

By now you should know that BE THERE 100 IN THE VANGUARD AGAINST DE OLE MAN, I will not be deterred when I know I am right!

His “manhandling” of those 12 year olds was verbal and if you, in your position to de ole man making my comment about your slothfulness of thought are vexed so be it.

But if you are vexed to such a degree that you dont feel that its distasteful for him to be de facto cheapening and making disturbingly lascivious comments about underage children SO BE IT.

I will continue to compliment his academic soundness per matters financial BUT IT WAS A SALACIOUS COMMENT UNBEFITTING OF A HARD BACKED MAN WHO IS STILL SEEKING TO BE A parliamentary representative!

De shy$e wrong Donna and there is nothing that you can say to mek it right

“…Anthony Weiner (D-NY) was convicted of sending sexually explicit photos of himself to a 15-year-old girl and was made to sign the sexual offenders register.

He also was sentenced to 21 months in prison, a charge that was later reduced to 18 months.

He reported to prison in November 2017 and was released in May 2019. (2017)…”

12 year olds jiggling botsies is bordering on sexually explicit for me AND IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE FOR ANY 60 YEAR OLD MAN, ESPECIALLY A POLITICIAN WHO, SHOULD RH KNOW BETTER.

Walter IS NOT a child Donna and you as a woman, would have been disturbed if he said jiggling botsies of 12 year old boys yet, incredulously you giving him an automatic pass FOR 12 YEAR OLD GIRLS cause um is culturally acceptable.

You got to be RH kidding me Donna!

This is a nasty thought that he verbalize.

Next thing you going be agreeing with Walter here on is “if that 12 year old jiggling botsie is old enough to bleed, she is old enough to breed!”

Either Walter Blackman apologizes for that slutty remark or AS LONG AS I HAVE AN OPTION TO POST HERE, BEFORE I GET BANNED, I WILL MAKE KNOWN THAT IT WAS A NASTY THING TO SAY.

And you, as a woman who has spoken of inappropriate advanced of a male to yourself, should be ashamed to be rushing to his defence.

You are disappointing because its females he is being disrespectful to, and little children at that

A senior member of the English Defence Leagure (EDL), a far-right group which has a long history of tirades that conflate Islam with terrorism, paedophilia and sharia – accusing Muslims of paedophilia on a generalised basis – has been sentenced to 17 years for the grooming and sexual abuse of a 10 year old girl.

Former co-founder, spokesperson and leader of the EDL, Tommy Robinson, alias Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is also currently in prison.

He was arrested for allegedly breaching the peace and incitement outside a court during an ongoing grooming trial…”

Again, another case of inappropriate interactions gone terribly bad but I guess that some of you “steupsers” would argue that if it is culturally correct, wunna support the statement, as many bajan paedophiles do, “she old enough to bleed, she old enough to breed”

And it is for this reason wunna cant tell de man “Walter, you are wrong, retract the statement!!!”

  29. Look how low Barbados Underground has come to be blocking de ole man comments about inappropriate comments to underage children!

    • Have you checked the title of this particular blog? Instead you want to engage in the same old ad hominem BS?

“Oh for Christ’s sake! I did not understand Walter to be advocating that the twelve years olds should be used to generate foreign exchange. I took him to mean when they grow up.”

    Donna,
I am going to say it again. You are a very intelligent woman. I write with the belief that BU readers are just as intelligent also. It is extremely important to remember that the blogmaster put up a video for all BU readers to view and I made a comment based on what I saw on the video. We were not given the ages of the young ladies dancing, so do not take one sip of the poisonous12-year old cool aid being pedaled by Piece Uh De Cock.

BU provides us with an excellent opportunity to express our diverse views in a mature, respectable manner with the aim of highlighting and providing solutions to our perceived national problems. However, according to Murphy’s Law, and because we live in the real world, we should expect at least one jackass to act as “a fly in the ointment”.

Your intelligence and femininity have attracted insults from “the fly”. You have wisely made the decision to ignore the personal attacks.

The blogmaster, simply because he chooses to exercise his best judgment in determining how the blog should be managed, has become the unjustified target and intended victim of conspiracy theories and have been relentlessly peppered with accusations of being conniving and deceitful.

However, the blogmaster, in turn, has deliberately chosen not to be prolix, and has dismissed the ad hominem attacks brusquely and crisply with short effective phrases like : “shoo fly”, “poor you” and “steupse”.

Grenville Phillips II initially pointed out the many defamatory remarks being hurled. Now, he has wisely decided to ignore.

I, on the other hand, have chosen to use the personal attacks to warn all readers that there are individuals in the wider Barbadian society who possess similar attributes and attitudes to Piece Uh De Cock, so we must accept this societal problem for what it is and come to grips with it.

My approach is similar to an attempt at converting waste to energy, intellectually speaking.

  31. Mr Blogmaster,
For many years, one anonymous blogger chose to viciously attack my character and my reputation. By doing so, he visited deep, untold, emotional languish and hurt upon my family and friends. From day one, I stood up and fought, and fought, and fought, and fought using every ounce of my energy and every approach and tactic I could think of.

However, fight as hard as I did, I could not have achieved a cessation of this evil onslaught without your help and the recent support of Donna, who had become tired and bored of the repetitive accusations.

I stood up and fought on my own behalf first, and later received critical support and assistance from you and Donna after. Both of you exhibited a lot of patience, but eventually that patience dissipated This reaffirmed my belief that we have decent Barbadians on BU who are willing to stand up and be counted when they see an injustice being perpetrated.

Mr. Blogmaster and Donna, from the bottom of my heart, I would like to take this opportunity to say a very humble “Thank you”, and I want both of you to know that I will be forever indebted to you.

At the national level, Barbados and Barbadians have been wronged for far too long, but rather than stand up and fight for ourselves and fight for what is right, we seem to be expecting someone to fight for us whilst we stand by and cower in fear and inaction.

I believe that there are enough decent Barbadians living amongst us who will give critical support and assistance when the time comes, but we have to learn to stand up and fight for ourselves and our interests first!

    Very well said.

    • @Walter

Agree PUDRYR has overplayed the dissenting voice on BU. It is amazing we have a lane on the WWW to robustly discuss matters of real concerns and he and others prefer to play the puerile game. You play with it you lose it is what they say.

  33. @ the Honourable Blogmaster

To all three of you who are collectively the BU BORG

I do not need an army to assist in my defense FOR I AM AN ARMY BACKED BY THE ONE!

I am going to “go north, to come south”

Part of this article here States

“…Every election cycle aspiring politicians follow the script by promising all things pie in the sky.

However no fundamental change has taken place since the Tom Adams era – he died in 1985, thirty four years ago…”

Mine was the first post here where I said and I will quote

    “… Piece the Legend October 29, 2019 1:25 AM

    First things first

“…vi·sion (vĭzh′ən) n. 1. a. The faculty of sight; eyesight: poor vision. b. Something that is or has been seen. 2. Unusual competence in discernment or perception; intelligent foresight: a leader of vision. 3. The manner in which one sees or conceives of something. 4. A mental image produced by the …”

For one to “shift” for something ONE FIRST HAS TO BE “THERE” FOR SAID SHIFT TO OCCUR…”

Readers here realise that I am as constant as the Northern Star and I do not change unless more sound reason is presented.

But from day one I have said this

1.successive leaders of our DUOPOLY DO NOT HAVE VISION
2.for change to occur THERE MUST BE VISION
3.CITIZENRY MUST NOT BE AT WAR WITH ITS GOVERNMENT

    AND

4.Mugabe is one Dictator who, lacking vision, will never assist bajans because her nepotism and cronyism is diametrically opposed to any growth of the country

Here is what you responded in your trifold being

    “… David October 29, 2019 6:08AM

Posting blogs like this one that encourage commenters to offer suggestions to assist others in authority is the reason this blogmaster is discourages. Some of us are happy to spout the same BS every day….”

Now mind you, Dr Lucas, in his submission SAID THE VERY SAME THING I SAID ABOUT THERE BEING NO CHANGES SINCE BARROW AND TOM ADAMS’ TIME

BUT you Honourable Blogmaster, in your trio self, are opposed to Piece the Legend so instead of trying to discuss for 10 Mark’s what is being said by Piece the Legend, you get your panties in a bunch, and decide you joining forces with Walter and anyone else cause I have shown up YOUR GOLDEN BOY

All of wunna SCVUNT fear me because what I have prophesied IS COMING TO PASS and wunna frightened bad.

  34. If you Honourable Blogmaster were to stop the 3 parts that you play AND ONLY LET ONE OF YOU RESPOND TO MY POSTS, I would not need to respond to you in the way I do, of late.

Today, i compliment you on an item then you send the likkle children to post some sort of shite AND I RESPOND TO THAT PARTISANSHIP.

Why is that? Why should I be disrespecting you David King?

Let me break it down for you and readers here.

I going tell it like it is and let this BU blogosphere understand the truth

  35. No sweat, Walter.

I have heard some of the young bashment artistes on the minibuses occasionally and though I detest the rawness of the lyrics I can still appreciate that they do have a way with words, rhythm and rhyme, meter etc and they are so good at painting word pictures that it jars my sensibilities. I know they could be good even if they ventured outside of the nether regions. They have talent that could be used to uplift if only …… I personally would love to get my hands on some of them.

Comments on jiggling botsies of boys or girls of any age would need to be salacious in order to be worthy of the treatment you have received here. Just recognizing that they have a talent that could be directed, developed and used to their benefit and that of Barbados is not in itself salacious.

The devil is as usual in the details.

    “@Walter
Agree PUDRYR has overplayed the dissenting voice on BU. It is amazing we have a lane on the WWW to robustly discuss matters of real concerns and he and others prefer to play the puerile game.”

    David,
BU is evolving, and is attracting a lot of intelligent, independent-minded comments and commenters. We are also getting educated on the spot by the videos and links being provided. This is an important first step in creating a critical mass of people singing from the same hymn sheet with the ability to disseminate ideas and beam signals of enlightenment into the wider society.

Bajans wisely say that a man can only bring out what is inside of him. If he is puerile, it would be foolhardy to expect seriousness and maturity. Right now, in my opinion, Piece Uh De Cock is bringing “nuisance value” to most discussions. He will either up his game, or most of us will see him only in BU’s rear view mirror. The choice is his.

Keep up the good work. We and Barbados appreciate your transformative efforts.

  37. When I began to post here your honour was exemplary.

No one could say anything against you, you were beyond reproach.

You said something AND YOU DID WHAT YOU SAID!

    THERE WAS NO VARIANCE!

Once, while I was really sick, you came to my assistance AND YOU DID NOT PREVARICATE OR DISSEMBLE.

Then one of you David King betrayed that trust when you did that action with the *** AND I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!

AND THEN THERE WAS THE *** which my Dearest SSS CAN CONFIRM

AND THAT WAS IT FOR ME!

I was going to stop completely when the Pieceuhderockyeahright profile was compromised in that way but it has worked out for me IN MORE WAYS THAN I CAN OR WILL SHARE.

I will share one THE LOGS and the open IP addresses.

So there I was, a committed dissenter, one who loves country, watching a duopoly RIP apart my country WITH A DECISION TO MAKE!

1.Jump ship and do a David Commissiong AND SEEL MY POLITICAL PRINCIPLES, AND BELIEFS, to serve Mugabe Mottley

    Or

2.Lose all personal aggrandisement and keep committed to my country.

And for me, I chose the second one.

The irony of all of this is that men like Pachamama who know me, and know what I stand for, once commented about what they thought was MY SELLOUT TO MUGABE but I had to “go North to Come South”

You David King, not the other two, are the George Linnaeus Banks at Barbados Underground

The others are young and spineless.

I WILL THEREFORE CURTAIL MY IMPUTATIONS AS TO YOUR CHARACTER and my comments about you Being the Minister of Disinformation when you David King MAKE THEM ADHERE TO THE HIGHER PURPOSE OF THE BLOG.

People are coming here in droves now and it is therefore critical that, IF WE WILL SAVE BARBADOS, you all 3 of you are unbiased facilitators of this process.

I cant change who I am insofar as my commitment to country overrides loyalty to any transient politician AND IF THAT BECOMES EVIDENT IN THE PATTERN OF GENUFLECTION TO THE WALTER BLACKMANS ON BU, I will respond to such sellouts because it is not for the Benefit of Barbados

  38. @ the Honourable Blogmaster

Your assistance please with an item here for Walter Blackman

I am not going to prolong this much longer.

I have stated my position and I wont shift from it.

All enemies of Barbados operate contrary to the pledge I took be it Blackman or Mugabe or whomever.

When we warriors affix our bayonet, we dont stop until the enemy is dead.

EITHER WE KILL THIS INSIDIOUS ENEMY or Barbados dies

    Donna,
I agree with your comments and would like to amplify them by citing another example.

Many times, whilst driving on the ABC highway, I feel chills run down my spine as I see young motor cyclists doing high speed “wheelies”. The slightest mistake made means that they are dead on the spot. Yet, I find myself acknowledging and applauding the skill they exhibit.

There are many competitions involving the use of motor cycles, skateboards etc. offering hefty prize money that take place in different parts of the world. Why can’t we provide the training facilities needed for these young people to develop their skills at an international level and unleash them upon the rest of the world to compete? We need the foreign exchange.

PS: Of course, a puerile mind can easily argue that these young people are breaking the traffic laws of Barbados, and rather than vehemently condemning their actions, I am advocating “exporting” these criminals to other countries to earn foreign exchange. For that, the puerile mind will proceed to argue, I should never be allowed to enter the House of Assembly, and I should ask the blogmaster for a special blog to apologize to all Barbadians.
    LOL

    Donna,
I am a witness, and I know the context in which your words were written.

However, I would not at all be surprised, if, in the future, some twisted puerile mind begins to launch harassing attacks and claim that you, a hardbacked 60+ year old woman, expressed a craving on BU for young boys.

I am speaking from personal experience, so I really hope that your words do not attract such a nonsensical attack.

  41. Your assistance please with an item here Honourable Blogmaster

Note is made of the invitation for mr toomas hendrik

Why not Neil Harper or some other Bajan?

Whuloss, you see why I does say the things I say bout we bajans?

As long as Neil is not promoting jiggling 12cyear old botsies…
