In order to end the electoral college, it would require a 67% majority in both the House and the Senate and then the president would have to sign off on it and then be ratified by at least 34 states. That would never happen.
Former Vice President Joe Biden admitted that President Donald Trump won the 2016 election “fair and square” through the Electoral College.
Biden, one of the few Democrats running for president who has not expressed support for abolishing or tinkering with the Electoral College, discussed why he believed Trump did so well in the Midwest during an interview with the Indianapolis Star on Thursday.
“I think he made headway because we stopped talking to our base,” Biden said regarding Trump’s 2016 performance. “And that’s not a criticism of Hillary [Clinton]. It’s just the way in which we got sucked into the last election talking about whether he touched women or whether, you know, it all got into … we didn’t talk much about the issues.”
Biden claimed it “was a brilliant strategy,” because it ensured Trump “never had to talk about what we’re gonna do about wages, what we’re gonna do about jobs.” The former vice president then proceeded to get off topic and attack the Trump administration for its tax cuts and foreign policy. When Biden did get back to the question at hand, he admitted that despite everything, Trump had won the presidency “fair and square.”
“A small percentage of people shifted just enough. But for 72,000 votes in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan, we would have a Democratic president now,” Biden said. “She won (the popular vote) by three million votes. Now he won fair and square in the sense that the Electoral College works that way.”

DURHAM INVESTIGATING PAPADOPOULOS TRANSCRIPTS…FINDS CORRUPTION?
Steven Ahle STEVEN AHLE JULY 26, 2019US Attorney John Durham, who AG Bill Barr gave the job of investigating the beginning of the Trump investigation is examining transcripts of conversations between government spies and George Papadopoulos. This is a critical event.
We already know that Trey Gowdy and others have already seen them and they hinted that there was exculpatory evidence that Mueller withheld from the defense and the courts. If that is indeed the case, it is a Brady violation and any lawyer that covered up exculpatory evidence, they could be disbarred or at least have their law license suspended for a year or two.
Assistant to Mueller, Andrew Weissmann has a history of withholding exculpatory evidence as does Mueller.
The sources also said the review is taking a closer look at the actual start date of the original FBI investigation into potential collusion between members of the Trump campaign and the Russians, as some allege the probe began earlier than thought. Both components are considered key in the review currently being led by Attorney General Bill Barr and U.S. Attorney from Connecticut John Durham –– an effort sure to draw more attention in the coming weeks and months now that Robert Mueller’s testimony is in the rearview.
The recordings in question pertain to conversations between government sources and Papadopoulos, which were memorialized in transcripts. One source told Fox News that Barr and Durham are reviewing why the material was left out of applications to surveil another former Trump campaign aide, Carter Page.
“These recordings have exculpatory evidence,” the other source added. “It is standard tradecraft to record conversations with someone like Papadopoulos—especially when they are overseas and there are no restrictions.”

The comments lacked context, but Waters filled in some of the details during an interview with MSNBC’s Joy Reid on Sunday, when she predicted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will be forced to “reconsider” her opposition to launching impeachment proceedings against Trump.

I wonder what Trump and the Democratic contenders would make of this news (see below). Trump was famously reported as saying while campaigning that Muslims in new Jersey were seen celebrating at the WTC buildings’ destruction on 9/11 whereas actually the only people reported to the police for suspicious behavior and then arrested for apparently celebrating (i.e. jumping in the air, high-fiving each other, holding up in the air burning cigarette lighters while being photographed) in full view of the burning towers turned out to be 5 Israeli citizens. A US Jewish weekly magazine “The Forward” reported to its readers that at least two of the arrested men were believed by the FBI to be connected to the Mossad.

Kellyanne Conway: ‘I’d like to know’ if Mueller read his own report
BY JESSICA CAMPISI – 07/25/19 04:24 PM EDT 370White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said Thursday that she’d “like to know” if former special counsel Robert Mueller read his own report on Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible obstruction of justice by President Trump.
“I read the polls that very few Americans say they’ve read the Mueller report,” Conway told reporters. “I’d like to know if that number includes Bob Mueller himself.”
Conway’s comments come a day after Mueller took center stage on Capitol Hill, giving marathon testimony in front of the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees on his findings.
“I saw somebody who did not want to be used and abused by people,” Conway said of Mueller. “I also saw somebody who, it’s not clear to me, was in charge of his own investigation, or most of it.”
Unlike his May report, which found that there was not enough evidence to bring charges against the president but which also did not exonerate Trump, Mueller’s testimony Wednesday came with little new information and did not spark any new momentum for impeachment.
Pro-impeachment Democrats were initially optimistic about Mueller’s testimony and how it might sway the majority of Americans who haven’t read the 448-page report and who aren’t familiar with the findings.
But Trump and Republican lawmakers celebrated the hearings as a victory, ripping Democrats for refusing to move on from the Mueller investigation and allegations that Trump may have committed a crime.
“This was a very big day for our country,” Trump told reporters at the White House after Mueller’s testimony had ended. “This was a very big day for the Republican Party … could say it was a very big day for me.”

Mueller Accused Of Sick Act – It’s Horrifying
July 27, 2019Former special counsel Robert Mueller was just accused of a sickening act. This is absolutely horrifying, and the DC swamp is in a mass panic. Their hero has fallen.
Columnist Jen Kerns, in an op-ed for The Daily Caller, summarized Mueller’s entire testimony in a way that cannot be ignored. “Mueller appeared confused, dejected, and unfamiliar with the very report bearing his name,” she wrote.
“In fact, he seemed so disconnected from the material that he couldn’t have possibly written it himself,” Kerns continued, even noting that Mueller even shockingly confessed he wasn’t “familiar with” Fusion GPS.
The average American must know more about Mueller’s own report than he does, calling into question how much he was actually involved in the first place. It is a startling prospect for someone as ‘respected’ as this career lawman.
“Mueller’s disastrous testimony begs the question of who actually drafted the report. Could it be that his politically-motivated Democratic deputies wrote the report, then handed it in to Mueller to rubber stamp?” asked Kerns.
There’s at least one person who seems to agree with Kerns’ assessment: Former Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC). Appearing on Fox News, Gowdy said, “He clearly did not write the report, which means those under him did.”

Barr May Have Found Mueller’s ‘Smoking Gun’ – And Democrats Should Be Sweating

Patriots breathed a sigh of relief when we learned that Attorney General Barr was looking into the Russian investigation.
He wanted to get to the bottom of how the DOJ conducted it, suggesting things weren’t done right.
But it’s been months since we’ve heard anything about his review. Meanwhile, Democrats in the media have paraded around the Mueller report, claiming Trump is guilty of obstruction.
Now, reports are coming out from insiders, saying Barr may have found his smoking gun.
The Justice Department’s internal review of the Russia investigation is zeroing in on transcripts of recordings made by at least one government source who met with former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos overseas in 2016, specifically looking at why certain “exculpatory” material from them was not presented in subsequent applications for surveillance warrants, according to two sources familiar with the review…
One source told Fox News that Barr and Durham are reviewing why the material was left out of applications to surveil another former Trump campaign aide, Carter Page. “I think it’s the smoking gun,” the source said.
According to two insiders, Barr is very concerned over why important parts of Papadopoulos’ recordings were left out of the investigation.
Specifically, parts that are considered “exculpatory” meaning they may have cleared Papadopoulos or even Donald Trump of wrongdoing.This strongly suggests that Mueller’s Russian investigation already had evidence that cleared Trump and his people of wrongdoing.Yet that information was left out of applications for more surveillance warrants. Why?
Could it be that the FBI and later Mueller had evidence that cleared Trump’s team? And if they mentioned this evidence in warrant applications, they would have been denied?
President Trump has spoken quite a bit about how Obama’s DOJ “wiretapped” his campaign. Even after he was elected, there are reports that the DOJ was monitoring him during the transition.
It is possible that the DOJ deliberately omitted evidence that would have made their investigation into Trump pointless.
Suggesting serious breaches of conduct, perhaps even criminal activity, on the part of agents investigating the Russian interference.
Now, why would they do that, except for trying to undermine Trump—the next president?
This information has yet to be confirmed by Barr himself, so we’ll have to wait and see. But this is shaping up to expose a shocking scandal within Obama’s DOJ and Mueller’s team.
