Henry Charles Albert David Windsor, also known as Prince Henry of Wales, is a Caucasian young man whose only claim to fame is that he once shocked his own British society by attaching a Swastika symbol to his arm and dressing up as a German Nazi!
Yet, our country’s Government Information Service has informed us– the citizens of Barbados– that our Barbados Government will be according this Nazi-costume-loving-young man a red carpet welcome, replete with ceremonial bowing and scraping on the part of our phenotypically Black or African Prime Minister, Governor General, Commissioner of Police and Defence Force Chief of Staff !
We have also been informed that the said Prince Henry (or Prince Harry as he is often called) will be presiding over such important elements of our 50th Anniversary of Independence celebrations as the “Reveal of the 50th Anniversary of Independence Monument ceremony” and the “Independence Day Parade” at the Garrison Savannah.
Well, I don’t know about the rest of my fellow Barbadian citizens, but this “News” has spoilt the whole 50th Anniversary Independence celebrations for me!
I was really looking forward to attending such historic events as the 50th Anniversary Monument ceremony and the Independence Parade, but my mind simply revolts against the very thought of standing or sitting in a crowd of my fellow Barbadians and watching this strange English Prince– or any other English Prince, Queen or King for that matter– presiding over such sacred national events.
To tell the truth, it really sickens me to the core that 50 years after allegedly achieving the status of sovereign, independent nationhood, our country still continues to bow down to Queen Elizabeth 11 and her “heirs and successors” as our Queen, Monarch and Head of State !
As far as I am concerned this is a national embarrassment of massive proportions !
And so, in order to spare myself what I know will be frightful pangs of embarrassment and psychic pain, I have decided that I will not be attending any of the 50th Anniversary of Independence events that Prince Harry will be presiding over.
I have decided to attempt to bring this decision to the attention of the Barbadian public because I suspect that there are many other Barbadians who feel exactly as I do, and I would like to make them aware of the solution to the issue that I have devised for myself.
I now take this opportunity to wish Prime Minister Freundel Stuart and all the other 29 Members of Parliament a happy and blessed Independence Day !

  1. I agree with the comments in this Post 110%.

Blacks need to wake up and realise slavery finished a long time ago and take the mental shackles off.

Stop bowing and scraping to the white man or woman.

Our Kings, Queens, Princes or Princesses should come from our own black community.

  2. Ok… But he who is without sin cast the first stone! And the only unforgivable Sin as far as my Bible informs me is the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost. Listen! As far as I am coconcerned the Prince was a young man who made an error in judgment, so lets give the young man a second chance.

    .

  3. Apparently, David is unaware that (a) the head of state of Barbados is Elizabeth II, who also holds several other titles, including that of Her Majesty the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and (b) because Queen Elizabeth no longer undertakes long distance travel, she has sent HRH Prince Harry, a senior member of the Royal Family, to represent her at our 50th Anniversary celebrations.

Since only six other royals are adults of comparable or superior rank, we should count our blessings. But I suspect the real reason for David’s outburst is that the Royal Household yesterday briefed the British press about its displeasure at the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines for forcing the Prince to participate in an “unplanned” minute of silence in homage to Fidel Castro.

Don’t sweat it, David. The Brits are useful to us.

  4. Listen! As far as I am concerned, chattel slavery has screwed up the collective pysche of the Black man to the point where it is impossible to resist the urge of defining any and everything through the barometer of race.

Jeff, either you do not read very well or nobody gave you a book on Logic to read.

  7. Given the attitude of this administration towards the Barbadians populace, is it any wonder the prime minister would want to foist this goose stepping Nazi upon us.

    Hiel Harry!

  8. Whitehill

It seems as though the Barbadian populace allows itself to be abused, used and mistreated by this government? But somehow in between all this abuse, this well educated population cannot find within itself the testicular fortitude to repudiate this wrongdoing by government. Who is at fault? The government or the populace?

  9. There is another picture of Prince Harry (Henry) in the nude. All very concerning.

  10. Don’t blame the lad because his maternal greatgrand-mother and paternal grandfather were both bigots.

  11. I’m sure Prince Harry overheard his great-grandmother lamenting: “I can’t stand those disgusting negros?”

@Chad 99999, you will need to read (and understand) the Constitution, The entire British monarchical line (The Queen, her heirs and assigns) is our Head of State not just Her Majesty. It is not a personal thing. Once she dies, her successor becomes the next Head of State of Barbados automatically. We have no choice in the matter.

  13. If the Queen, her heirs or her reps wants to visit, officially or for holiday, whats the big deal.

The slaves in parliament love to swim with the sewer rats from buckingham palace, even if there was no need to, they would still demean and degrade themselves and the majority black population by subjecting them to that spectacle, with shit eating grins firmly in place.

  15. Prime Minister Freundel Stuart is a strong supporter of the need to celebrate our Jubilee and the value he anticipates will accrues for Bajans as far as growing pride in country. The fact that we have a member of the royal family who will represent the mother country (Head of State) who was captured wearing a swastika armband and also cavorting in the nude, this reality eludes you and we know why.

  16. What the sense of having a literacy rate of 93%, if all de people does do is to run dem mout? And that particularly involves the Intelligentsia as far as I’m concerned.

  17. This boy Harry might have done something that surprising to some

But the people who own Barbados were only recently Windsors, before they were always Germans

During WW1 & 2 this family vocally and stridently supported their German Nazi family, Adolf Hitler. Changed their name/s because Germany/Germans became unpopular.

We have been arguing for decades that what we have in the West is not democracy by fascism under the guise of democracy.

When Harry of the House of Saxe-Coburg/Gotha arrives in colonial Barbados the school children lining the street should be saying ‘Haile Harry”.

This is the kind of ‘shiite’ a so-called nation must continue to smell in order for people like Hilary Beckles and others to claim a knighthood.

We are sure this Nazi Harry will get a chance to put the sword to the neck of some old Bajan fart at the Queen’s house here.

  18. Jeff

Your latest comment makes no sense whatsoever. Either you didn’t understand what I said, or you are lamely trying to recover from losing the argument in our previous exchange.

  19. Some people have to learn about the concept of emotional responsibility to cure their emotional irresponsibility.

  20. @ David Commissiong.

“Cuba will observe nine days of mourning for Fidel Castro, including a three-day journey by his ashes along the route taken by the rebel army he led on a victorious march across the island in 1959.”

Surely mourning Castro is important enough for you to go to Cuba.

You could avoid being in Barbados with Harry.

DC is a piece of work.
Mere days ago, he was on BU slamming Donville for telling lies about him. And they were lies. Anybody who knows DC will know his MO from young days was ABW (anybody but white).
So now to prove his hatred of the monarchy, and that is his right, he decides to recall the 20 yr old prince, who in very bad taste, wore a nazi outfit to a costume party. This photo also highly offended AA and the Lung Association for he was drinking and smoking. There was also the nude incident in Vegas.
But naturally DC, nor any of his friends, ever did anything remotely off the beaten path in their youth.
But I would hate for DC to have to endure the Prince. So I have a suggestion. Beginning Nov 29, the ashes of Castro will make a 900km trek from Havana to Santiago de Cuba. So catch a plane and take a walk. This will give you an opportunity to meet Cubans from all walks of life, and you can spare yourself from “frightful pangs of embarrassment and psychic pain”. And at the funeral you can meet all the leaders of the socially conscious world, maybe one will even offer you a job?

Chad, why would I want to argue law with you at all? Losing an argument on constitutional law to you would be akin to the abomination of s desolation!

  23. NorthernObserver Avatar

shiite I was typing…Hants you beat me to it LOL

  24. Come on Northern Observer, please don’t try to put a “racist” tag on me! Being Black conscious, or wanting to see one’s own people truly liberated and lifted up does not constitute hatred of any other race or ethnicity. In fact, I exist within a very multi-racial family. I am one of four brothers, one of whom is married to an East Indian; another is married to a European; and I am married to an African (a Ghanaian). Now if my other brother would only get married to an Asian , the Comissiong boys would have brought the whole human family together !!!

On a more serious note though, it is really high time that we Barbadians remove the Queen of England from her position as Head of State of our country and invest ourselves with the dignity and self respect of being a sovereign Republic.

    DAVID COMISSIONG

  25. DC I am no monarchy lover and I have no issue with the concept of a republic.
However, you could have provided the benefits of such?
Instead you take a low blow at someone, who would probably prefer to be off with his GF, than having to perform ceremonial functions of no meaning.
I was taught to fight above the belt. But if the other guy went low, there was no harm in letting the other know I could do likewise.

  26. Does anyone else remember when the then Owen Arthur led administration planned to put to Barbadians via a referendum the option of removing the queen as head of state? I also remember that David Thompson and DLP threatening to campaign against the motion.

Portia Simpson Miller on being appointed PM in Jamaica stated that the queen was going to replaced as head of state of Jamaica. That too went quietly away.

Grenadians recently via a referendum rejected the Caribbean Court of Justice preferring to hang on to the UK privy council.

We love Britain pissing on us apparently.

  27. People, he was at a costume party. People dress as the devil, who is worse than any nazi. But no one ever judge them. This is nick-picking!!! Choose a battle that worth the fight.

  28. I find it in bad taste that a young man, who happened to be born as part of the British Royal family, should come in for such semi-literate abuse when he has done – and continues to do – such sterling work. Of the Royal family, Harry is the one that stands out.

“than having to perform ceremonial functions of no meaning.”

That is the crux of the matter, any rat out of buckingham palace, whether a liked rat or not, it’s the hypocrital, demeaning to the majority blacks on the island ceremonial functions, that are meaningless , disrespectfuĺ to the ancestors of and descendants of slavery and still used in 2016 only to assert and highlight the control that Liztherat and any Windsor in buckingham palace still continue to have over the weak black leaders in the Caribbean and weakest minds in the population.

The brutish british are tired of the parasites in buckingham palace and are working hard to dismantle that scam, why would those whose ancestors were used , abused and reduced to less than human, whose descendants are still seen as less than human by the sewer rat Liz Windsor, not want to cut all ties and actually become independent and self autonomous.

  30. Comissiong trashes the Prince but salutes the renegade Fidel Castro who has committed some of the worst atrocities against his people .

ACs….as the head shit munchers…have you no shame in yourselves or respect for what your ancestors experienced.

The ignorance of black people worldwide can always be suitably used against them.

Here is hoping to see all 8-10,000 minorities on the island joining hands with the tens of thousands in the majority population that are sure to turn up for the event.

Vincent would be ecstatic to see the pelau chain link.

Didn’t Sir Hilary make the same point when he referred to Queen Elizabeth who visited in 1966 to participate in Independence celebrations was entertained by slave owner Lord Harewood? When we – the jewel in the crown – should have been negotiating for reparations

For those among us who can see, we know this Harry tour is meant to gage the level of ignorce still existing in the heads and minds of black leaders and the black population in the Caribbean in 2016, deep analysis would show the exploiters how to move forward, for those too stupid to see, ya deserve what you will get.

The Bushman, you now why why I always travel with my broom, I do not want to become contaminated, it is not attractive.

After 800 years the brits understand that the parasites in buckingham palace have been and continue to suck the life out of the taxpayers in the UK, ah can’t say they dont deserve though.

The same population was happy to benefit from the proceeds of slavery and criminality, Liztherat does not get to choose when enslaving and dehumanizing others started being a crime just because it was no longer profitable for the rats in the palace.

Al you have to do to understand the evil clump of flesh that is the Windsors residing in buckingham palace and the hatred in their hearts for black people, is to watch how Liztherat is tripping over her old decrepit ass to embrace Donald Trump.

  39. Prince Harry is a Tourist attraction.Hope the BTA will use him as a free marketing tool.

  40. This boy Harry is the kind of people Hal Austin and his ilk have no problem in imposing on us.

Whatever these ‘royals’ do seems well done to them, no real criticism of them

These same people ‘White Englishmen’, like Hal Austin, will hate leaders like Fidel Castro, others opposed to imperialism in materials ways.

Well, we want Hal Austin and his kif and kin to know with certainty that we like all the people they hate.

We like Fidel Castro, despite his imperfections, as if God

    We like Hassan Nasrallah forever

    We like Ali Khamenie eternally

And ALL the others who hate and work against Western imperialism.

  41. Pachama,
Have you taken your tablets? I have not expressed a view about the royal family one way or the other. What I have said, and I know you cannot follow a logical argument, is that of the current royal family Harry is the one that does the most sterling work.
As to Castro, I came of political age in the 1960s and worshipped Castro and Che among others; for my sins I do not have any Hassans or Alis among my political or cultural heroes and am unlikely to. I am sure I am missing out.
As to imperialism, Western imperialism is as bad as Islamic imperialism or Chinese imperialism. All imperialist regimes are bad.
As I have said to you before, stop being a thug and trying to bully people, you cannot scare me. Talk about issues and not personalities. I know it is difficult for you, but try.

  42. I wonder when last the UK had control over Bim,prior to 1966 Bim was responsible for its internal matters.

I would like in this year 2016,when we have the ability to educate ourselves and travel the world, how the royal family has disadvantaged us.

BTA is doing a sensible thing in getting free promotion for Bim other than Sandals.

  43. First let me say that I totally agree with David
    Comissiong.
However what is really coming through to me in this post
is that it is always very dangerous to criticize
white people whether they be Bajan or royalty.
I have learned that when we attack them all
they have to do is wait for their defenders to come
    after you.

  44. @ Hal Austin
Respectfully I ask: Is it that those of us who
embraced radical positions in our youth just
get burned out or is it an acceptance that we
were or are mere gadflies? Note I said “we”.

I feel like I am in the school yard again, and I have to make the bat do the talking, a long and productive innings is never scoffed at.

Get rid of all ties between Bim and the monarchy. Why do we need any member of the Royal family or someone designated as “their representative” on the island? Do it.

There was no need to even invite them, the current GG (another point made by Dr.Beckles re Stow on Nov 30 1966) is a Barbadian. And when we change the Head of State, even this will no longer exist.

So lets get back to the point. Just because we have all become accustomed to negative advertising in political campaigns, where they never promote their policies and their benefits, rather preferring to slam their opposition, doesn’t make it correct, only acceptable.

So why slam Harry? Why not promote the alternative, a Republic, and get on with it. Is Harry to be blamed for the GoB/people’s inability to create that Republic? Is the said family of which Harry is a member, objecting to or stopping Barbadians from getting on with those changes?
