  2. Artaxerxes,

    Stop insulting Satan.

  3. Serously happiness begins with transformations attained by many life experiences . one cannot honestly says that those things which made one happyas a child can be self fullfilling in adult years
Through out the years our minds transform some of those things which was seen as important and necesary over a period of time to one,s happiness ceases to be less important and simply disintegrate into nonethingness giving way to newer and more meaningful appreciations for life in the pursuit of happiness

  4. No pills Bushie, no car, no big house either.

And how do you know that I have not become as a little child.

  5. @Donna December 30, 2015 at 11:54 AM “I think your happiness comes from just accepting that “it is what it is.” Am I right?”

Everyday I do the best that I can with what I have. Like islandgal246 I love gardening. And I give away the surplus…the love God and love thy neighbour kind of thing.

  6. As I drive around Barbados (on the bus Bushie, or the ZR vans) I see hundreds, maybe thousands of abandoned houses and I wonder how can this be in a country where many young families are struggling to find a decent place to live? Why do Bajan families look only for legal solutions to human problems?

What would happen if families got together and fixed up the old family houses and put them on the market for a modest rent so that young families can get a decent place to live?

We did that and yesterday I saw three young children playing happily in the same place where I played as a child more that sixty years ago.

There is no money for me in it…but happiness? Yes.

    …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
Could not agree with you. Perhaps we should take a leaf out of the book of people living in the Shankill area of Belfast who took over and occupied new council houses which were tied up in red tape.
We here in Barbados have at our disposal, unoccupied government houses in Coverley Ch Ch, The Grotto Dalkeith, Sion Hill St James, Church Village St Phillip and Constance in St George .

  8. True. Because after all the houses belong to the people not to the council [nor the National Housing Corporation] and if nonsensical “legal” red tape keeps them tied up for years and years and years, then the people should take charge of their own houses.

It is a shame that young families are kept living in difficult circumstances while lawyers argue about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

  9. At another time and in another place I did volunteer work [for many years] in social housing. Our Board had a turnaround time of 24 hours. If one family moved out the unit had to be made ready for another family within 24 hours.

    This is how it works.

A checklist of what each tenant must do before moving out.

An onsite superintendent to check that the tenants clean up before moving out (otherwise you won’t get your deposit back)

    On going maintenance.

    A competent team of tradesmen.

A constantly updated list of people waiting to move in.

I offered my free services here and was refused.

I do not belong to the DLP.

I do not belong to the BLP.

    Here endeth the lesson.

  10. The unfortunate counterpoint: what makes a good life just a figment. The following excerpt from a NY online paper can be easily edited to represent David Thompson, a retired politician cum jurist, former PMs, corporate chieftans and more .

‘The intersection of art and reality is complicated, but I can’t allow my children to watch “The Cosby Show” ever again. It was great, but supporting his work in any way just feels wrong and only advances the notion that he was some great man, when to women all over the country, he was a monster.”

To many in the Black community the destruction of their modern day Rhodes statue…rightfully so surely.

Many more are living good lives…of lies!

  11. All power corrupts.

    Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

We turn a man into a god and then discover that after all he is only a pieca man.

  12. @Simple Simon, not to put to fine a point on your assertion (true as it is) but lets recognize quite CLEARLY that behind this pieca man stands firmly a WOMAN.

What should we label her then…piece of a pieca woman; enabler in-chief; self-hater and misogynist?

Behind every powerful man is often a powerful woman, they say. Equally therefore behind every pieca man is his submissive pieca woman with the alluring smile, not so!

This is not a male/female fight…just saying that slime comes in both Mas and Fem flavors and often they blend efficiently to disgusting lows.

Not sure your assertion is not missingvthe new age mixup, in today’s world of gay rights, gay marriages, bi-sexual practices within heterosexual marriages etc, behind many men might be a woman and a man…there really is no way to tell in today’s mix up, mix up.

Because societies refuse to stop looking up to, believing in and respecting these cretins calling themselves leaders, monsters have been created. Calling them man…..is being too kind….. start treating them all with suspicion and distrust…they would be more likely to get the message.

  14. Simple Simon,

    Good job!

  15. @Well Wellyour assertion that “buying things do not bring happiness” does not really stand up to close examination. However, I will just say that smiles and laughter are signs that someone is happy. Frowns are a sign of displeasure and unhappiness. I did not see any frowns among the hundreds of people at the Park Christmas morning. I saw many smiles, lots of dancing, lots of singing and lots of laughter. I have to conclude that there were many people who were happy.

You dd not answer my question though; What makes You happy.? You told me what does Not make you happy. Answer the question. Make 2016 a happy year! Celebrate life despite all the iniquities, and imperfections that exist.

  16. Well..Well behind every successful man is a woman….telling him he is wrong

  17. Well Well & Consequences2 Avatar

Lawson….these days those dudes have both a woman and man standing behind them, so if the woman is telling the man in front of her he’s wrong, what is the man standing behind her telling the man in front of her and since nothing is going right these days, there gotta be some kinda mixed signals, don’t you think…lol

Alvin…..I could swear I told you why I was happy, when did I say am not happy, don’t think I did.

You cannot look on the faces of 1k people in a park and assume they are happy, that is presumptuous, because they are taking part in an annual tradition does not make them happy, it does say they are glad to do something different from the daily monotony of life, that is why the park has become a tradition, like labor day parade, caribana. It’s not like bajans have the bronx zoo or coney island or the toronto botanical gardens, etc for weekend visits, they take what they can get.

  18. @Well Well,
True there is no Bronx Zoo, etc, but then again New york does not have a warm sun on Christmas morning, lovely beaches that anyone can go to, nor Q in the Community, where in the middle of the week one can go and have a good time, meet acquaintances, make new friends, and have a time away from the stresses of life that bother so many in other countries. Etc. Etc. There are also warm nights when the moon is full and one can listen to the music of the insects, or lie in bed and hear the raindrops beating a lullaby on the roof, sending you to sleep peacefully.
One takes what one has and makes the best of it. No problem here. Taking part in that tradition is voluntary, and an unhappy person does not volunteer to participate if one is unhappy. Polls and surveys take a sample of the population to reach their conclusions. The population in the park is a representative sample.
You said forced mediocrity makes you unhappy. Well tell mw again what makes you happy.

  19. Well Well & Consequences2 Avatar
    Well Well & Consequences2

Yeah Alvin…..with all that Barbados has to offer why do YOU live in Canada, since those countries, according to you, don’t have what Barbados has…

I have been quite happy for many years living in different countries, my happiness is not the issue. The people on the island who have not had potable water for far too long on the island am sure would beg to differ from what you spout. Those who don’t have proper housing because ofvthe nuisance games played by your politicians, or can’t get consistent garbage collection or a proper bus service which their tax dollars fund or can’t have basics services without having to bribe a civil servant who is already getting a salary from the same taxpayers, or can’t get water mains that leak water fixed in a timely manner, I can go on and on…..those are the people whose happiness should be of concern to you….I am fine.

Why are you so worried about my happiness anyway , save that worry for people on the island who have no voice. No one can stop me from talking or use retaliation tactics against me because I exercise my right to vote for whomever, I am not a victim, save your concerns for the island’s victims, if you are capable.

  20. @Well Well,
Go on and on. If we could run up a trillion dollar national debt like the U.S. we could get everything fixed immediately. With us however things take time. If the rain does not fall we can’t have as much water as we would like to haVE. ALMOST EVERY HOUSEHOLD NOW HAVE WASHING MACHINES AND INDOOR PLUMBING. NOT LIKE IN THE DAYS OF RUNNING OUT IN THE YARD TO THE TOILET.THE TRANSPORT BOARD BUSSES MAY NOT BE SUFFICIENT, BUT THE PSV (ZR AND MINIBUS) PROVIDE THE SERVICE THAT IS NEEDED. UNLIKE UP NORTH WE HAVE SERVICES THAT MAKE UP FOR SOME DEFICIENCIES. DID YOU KNOW TRHAT ALL SENIOR CITIZENS TRAVEL ON GOVERNMENT BUSSES FREE? THEY HAVE TO PAY IN NORTH AMERICA. (Nothing meant by the caps, pressed the caps key in error) I like to live in both Canada and Barbados. I can’t take the cold anymore, so I return to Bim as often as possible, so my living there has nothing to do with not liking Barbados. So technically I have the best of both worlds and contribute to each one’s societies. We do have consistent Garbage collection but accidents and breakdowns do occur, and my people are complainers. I will defend my civil servants against that slur of having to bribe to get “basic services. That is patently untrue.
I am not worried about your happiness or unhappiness, just curious; because nothing seems to please you about life. In many instances being a victim is often in the person’s head and not realistic.

  21. What makes a good life is knowing that when others are scratching their royal ar***,some of us are able to rock back sipping champagne, or in the case of St Joseph, nice clean water.
The Better Securities Act of Barbados was established in 1920. In essence the Act provides that residents of exclusive areas such as Strathclyde, Belleville ,Navy Gardens ,Rockley etc, were guaranteed an interrupted supply of Water ,Gas and Electricity, outside of maintenance, a hurricane or a breakdown.Workers of these Utilities were barred from going on strike .
Today the Better Securites Act is still in operation, not from a legal point of view, but more from an equestrian one. Like a horse walking in circles with a leash attached, it will continue to walk in a circle even after the leash has been removed.
The following diagram is self explanatory. It shows how privilege people, including the GOCB have been given preferential treatment of the supply of water over the suffering rank and file people of St Joseph, whose Taxes helped to financed this same water rerouting project. How many more days before we become a republic?

@Well Well etc. “It’s not like bajans have the bronx zoo or coney island or the toronto botanical gardens, etc for weekend visits, they take what they can get.”

    True.

I was in Queen’s Park Christmas morning with my family and I loved it. We do not go to Queen’s Park because we cannot get the bronx zoo, or coney island or the Toronto Botanical Gardens (a few years ago I went to a nephew’s wedding reception there)

Some of us have “done” London, New York, Paris and much more and still we would never think of missing Christmas morning in Queen’s Park.

  23. @Well Well & Consequences2 December 31, 2015 at 2:26 PM “can’t have basics services without having to bribe a civil servant”

I don’t know about you but a civil servant has never asked me for, nor taken a bribe from me. And I have never offered a bribe to anyone. And I get my basic services.

  24. @de Ingrunt Word December 31, 2015 at 12:27 AM “lets recognize quite CLEARLY that behind this pieca man stands firmly a WOMAN.”

I do not agree with you.

Men are responsible for their own behaviour.

Women are responsible for their own behaviour.

We are adults, not foolish children.

  25. @Simple Simon December 31, 2015 at 9:57 PM..why would you need to
    agree with me’? That’s strange.

My remark “lets recognize quite CLEARLY that behind this pieca man stands firmly a WOMAN.” was factual with respect to the Cosby situation. If you choose to dispute all the reports that his wife is firmly behind him as a ‘decent man’ or should I say that she has made no comments to criticize her husband…then that is surely your prerogative.

I also made the general remark “Behind every powerful man is often a powerful woman”. That has had currency for many years now.

You can certainly disagree but take that up with first Ms. Cosby and then generally the world. I simply repeated a generally ‘accepted’ aphorism – if I may call it that ; and cited a fact.

You can condemn Cosby and men in general – re behaviours towards women -as much as you want and frankly I would fundamentally agree with you.

But it seems that you want to close your eyes to the females who enable men like Bill Cosby.

Frankly, that is all good too…par for course in life really: not looking deep enough into the abyss .

  26. Incidentally, certainly we are all responsible for our own actions but surely a woman who lives gloriously (and yet apparently truly disconnected) with her mate must be called to question on a matter like this.

I believe the legal experts can speak to the question of ‘accessory after the fact’ and all the lovely legal dictum that guide that issue of adult responsibility….for oneself and indeed for the duty of care of others. In her case as a wife she surely has legal comfort of course.

(Not suggesting for one moment that she was an accessory in this matter).

  28. Well Well & Consequences2 Avatar
    Well Well & Consequences2

Alvin….it’s a new year, because you have the best of both worlds, that does not apply to everyone. I too have the best of both worlds and take time out to think of those who don’t….if thinking of people less fortunate than yourself makes you unhappy, you are selfish, thinking of those less fortunate souls who are not allowed to represent themselves and say something in their own behalf makes me feel satisfied as though I am actually contributing something worthwhile other than boasting how good my life is and pretending these people don’t exist.

Don’t know when last you have lived in the US, but the City has transportation for their elderly as well as their disabled, they pick them up right at their doors, that is one of the services available to those who cannot afford the public transportation and who have paid their taxes all theirboives and even to those who never paid taxes, so do not try to bullshit me, reserve that for people on the island who feel impressed by you, I don’t.

You want to pretend these people don’t exist because everything is right in your world makes you an enabler to their misery, typical yardfowl.

Simple….because you never experienced something does not mean it does not exist and is not happening to others, it is happening on the island particularly to those who need their NIS or tax benefits processed, if they victimize or extort everyone who approaches them, their little scams would no longer be effective…..Alvin is a rabid, useless yardfowl, so nothing he says re civil servants is credible, he used to be one.

Re females like Camille Cosby, Hilary Clinton, etc who defend and stand by their disgusting husbands regardless of what they do, they are the lowest form of life and enablers, not unlike DBLP yardfowls, eg Alvin and the ACs.

They just hang around for the pretentious status factor and everything slimy can be applied to them. I am glad to see Camille Cosby will be deposed by prosecutors.

  30. White Folks can always guaranteed full backing support from the pretentious house negroes in black community when it comes to modern day lynching of “one” of our own people
Question How come the same hatred and disgust and outraged is not being directed towards rapist and pedophiles like Woody Allen and Roman Polanski
Haven/t heard of any one black or white asking for their movies or artistic materials not to be distributed world wide

  31. de Ingrunt Word Avatar

@ Sargeant December 31, 2015 at 11:52 PM…re “So what are you suggesting?”. The word ‘accessory’ has very precise and strong legal connotations so I am not saying that sans evidence. But let’s think of accessory in its every-day use like a piece of clothing accessory or piece of jewellery. You know an addendum to make things look good..although there is a link of togetherness all items are really separate and distinct. She was that type of accessory.

Beyond that I also find it very disconcerting that despite what she must have heard over the years that she raised daughters with a guy who was so callous an individual to treat women so cavalierly and dismissively. Clearly she also has a very jaundice view of her own Black community and women to turn a blind eye like that over the years. But maybe I critique wrongly…we will find out over the next few years of this trial.

@ac January 1, 2016 at 7:33 AM your premiss to wit “….always guaranteed full backing support from the pretentious house negroes …outraged is not being directed towards rapist and pedophiles like Woody Allen and Roman Polanski…” is wrong-headed.

It is the exact mentality that allows you and your ilk to rape and pillage your own Black brothers when you are given the reins of power. That sense of we ‘getting ours too’. Wrong-headed.

A criminal act of this magnitude cannot be considered by frigging colour. Allen and Polanski will get their comeuppance – and they have been already much vilified. That can in NO WAY be balanced against how the Black community should react towards Bill Cosby.

Persons like you love to use pejoratives like ‘house negro’ or ‘oreo’. Amusingly ridiculous really, as it shows exactly the same duplicitous, dishonest mentality of those who you purport to defend.

This same Cosby traversed that wide divide called the white-advertising world with facility and skill; he was a colossus there and a tsunami across the Black community.

Yet you can make your wonderfully trite statement…truly you are in the right profession offering…dissembling, mis-direction and all popular, wide-spreading BS. Never some truth and light from you…not agreement dude/dudette…just some truth and some light.

Maybe Cosby was a pretentious house negro himself and it’s returning to bite him in the ass, that is what happens to house negros.

I remember vividly what he had to say about his own people many years ago, he had the nerve to paint all black people with his same white brush causing an uproar in the black community in the US, let them skin his ass alive.

Those are the same ACs and Alvins that would help their DBLP politicians to collude with a minority of whites etc on the island and in Alvin’s case Cow-an/Cahill and Del Mastros of Canada to victimize, steal from, rape the island and treat blacks like themselves, as though they are still slaves and second class citizens, the ACs and Alvins minds are poisoned with their own stupity.

Bill Cosby was the same kind of disgusting, slimy hypocrite who is getting his just desserts. Not even 2 weeks ago AC was cussing people on here for a lowlife like cow williams who still call blacks on the island slaves, who still disadvantages her own people, those are the real attributes of a house nigger, can’t make a stand for anything that is not slimy.

  34. @Well Well,
Oh dear! As you say this is a new year, but no different from yesterday. All the problems are still here, but they will be resolved in good time. Despite what you may say, or think, I too have been through the furnace. I was born poor and was raised by my mother alone, because my father died when I was not even a teenager. We lived in a time of job scarcity. We were Black in Barbados at that time. I leave you to acquaint yourself with what it was like to live and grow in that era.
I do think of those less fortunate and do what I can to help them, in many ways. I do not talk about it, especially here, because if I did I would be accused of being boastful and pretentious, by those who do not know me..I mean really know me.
You are like so many who see things, but because it does not fit in with their agenda; of perceived (BY THEM ) inefficiencies, and injustices, refuse to accept them. You say:” the City has transportation for their elderly as well as their disabled, they pick them up right at their doors, that is one of the services available to those who cannot afford the public transportation and who have paid their taxes all their lives and even to those who never paid taxes” We, in Barbados, have social services that look after the less fortunate. We have Transportation (free) for the disabled,we have a welfare department acting in the same way as those in more developed countries, that pays light and water bills, and sometimes even the rent, for the unfortunate ones; in a smaller way it is true, but that is because our resources are less. Free medical services;from primary to tertiary; that is from treating “nail jucks”, to brain surgery, so persons do not go bankrupt trying to access medical care; and where we can’t provide the service here, we send them overseas and pay the bills for them.

WE HAVE A GOOD COUNTRY! Don’t keep pulling it down. It has warts, but it is still a good place to live, and grow, and have our being.

It may seem tiresome to some, or even many, but I will keep defending it, because it is MINE. In this fiftieth year of us coming to the acceptance of our independence, I will not let anyone attack my country without defending it. Whether you see that as “yard-fowlism” or not, you can expect this type of behaviour from me All the time, especially when i perceive the attacks as untrue, malicious, vexatious, or disloyal.

We have a good Civil Service. Don’t try to denigrate them. Don’t try to give the impression that they are dishonest. IT IS NOT TRUE. I was a civil servant a long time ago, many of them are my friends. They are decent and hardworking; slow in some instances, and have the usual failings of any human being, but the staff today are still honest. Those who may step over the line are few and far between.
If trying to point out facts and telling you the truth is “trying to bullshit you ” then I will keep doing it whether you believe me or not. Give me SPECIFICS of where I am wrong and I will check it out., and if I am wrong I will admit it. Until then I will not yield to your desire to have me accept untruths as factual.

  35. 40. 300 and something days before we celebrate our 50th Year of Independence and possibly our move into a Republic.
Yet in todays Nation we see yet another Barbadian conferred with a Knighthood from Her Majesty the Queen in the New Year’s honours list.
Barbados ,since Independence has been operating a Two-Tier Knighthood Honours List.
From a cursory glance of the Barbadian, list of Knights, it would appear that some are awarded a Mauby Knighthood, while others appear not to accept noting less than the Champagne variety.

    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
If you ask aging British people when were their happiest times in life, they would most likely refer to the war years, when all sorts of entertainment and attractions were laid on to detract the minds of the populace from the deadly reality show which was being played before their very eyes ,and all across Europe and beyond. Our parents had a saying,”Every skin teet in no laff.”

  42. @Colonel buggy,
Except that the tradition of the Christmas morning stroll in the Park goes back even before the advent of independence. So it not a “contrived” experience. It is a Tradition. Even though the Tradition of the “Exhibition” per se , no longer is followed, it has been replaced by “Agrofest”, attracting even more people, so that “tradition” still continues, in a different form.
What your parents said is true, but the reality is that we have the wherewithal to have a happy life. As the goodly gentleman said long ago: “Seek and ye shall find.”

@ac January 1, 2016 at 10:40 AM..so according to you “…A movie that took years of skilled writers and actors to produce… A movie which involves power! retaliation !…” is now being completely unraveled because White folks are intent to destroy the uppity “negro”.

Sounds like the type of tale (fairy-tale, even) you would produce…rather the type you produce daily here.

Bill Cosby is a man first who is also black. No one destroyed the black family unit other than this man who is synonymous with building it up in a very positive light.

No one tricked or coerced over 50 women into making claims against Bill Cosby. There is EVIDENCE from Bill Cosby HIMSELF where he admits giving drugs to some of the victims…thus if we find 10 are lying let’s focus on the other 40+ and particularly let’s focus on what Bill Cosby himself says.

If in your strong support of all things Black – regardless of right or wrong – you dismiss the women who brought charges against the man immediately they realized that something was wrong and either won settlements or had the case dismissed because of the ‘he-say-she-say’ lack of credibility these type cases create, then more power to you.

I try to read my “manuscript [N]egro” with the same critical eye that I read my “manuscript White”, “manuscript Indian” and particularly my “manuscript DLP (or BLP)”,,, whatever.

You should try it sometime. It’s quite empowering…though not as enriching, of course!

This is part of our problem, some of us are unable to delineate issues, political, black, whatever. It goes back to have a grasp of the cognitive skills.

  46. @ De igrunt trying to place my comments as evince as to why or what is not the answer. There are actions with relentless inflammatory ties as to why the Cosby movie is now widely circulated after so many years of silence by those involved Well Yes! any one who have had a harm or misdeed done should seek legal recourse However the players involved were not children and did indeed interact with Cosby for several years after the allegations and said nothing The script is being written with an ironclad emphasis to disposed of not(a) Mr Cosby or a lowly black man but A Black man with influence and power to direct and control the illicit proroguing of what Hollywood feeds to the masses in their TV and movies and he had to be removed
listen bro do not be fooled by the mooring of the tattle tales this movie was scripted and designed with an intent to push a Hollywood legend aside and put in place an agenda laced with fast tracked immorality and promiscuity most of which is being shown in household today
Simply put Mr Cosby was a billionaire standing in the way and had to be shoved off and banished from the minds of american society as his good guy image and his attempt to focus on family oriented program was out of sync with what the movers and shakers of the Hollywood elite wanted to present to the viewing public
All of what is taking place did not happen because of fifty woman but forceful undercurrents and ties who found the opportunity and perfect timing to unleashed a barrage of raped charges against MR. Cosby for their own gain sake
Well it has work family programming has also been dealt a final blow and replaced by Family GUY and homosexual programming none of which Mr, Cosby would have any part of

Beyond that I also find it very disconcerting that despite what she must have heard over the years that she raised daughters with a guy who was so callous an individual to treat women so cavalierly and dismissively

Hindsight is 20/20, you can’t presume to know what has gone on in a relationship, prior to the recent revelations the accusations were brought by individuals who were “unknowns” and could be easily dismissed as people seeking a “payday” and wives may accept that explanation. You should also remember that even when Cosby criticised members of the Black community re lifestyle or any issues no one from the community ever brought up any of these accusations to bolster their defense against his attacks. Cosby occupied a position of importance in society that provided him with immunity for a long time and even now some people in the Black community will dismiss these charges as trumped up (call it the OJ effect).

It is a tragedy when an idol who represented some of our aspirations is found to have feet of clay, the next time any Black entertainer/celebrity is accused of sexual impropriety, he will never be accorded the benefit of the doubt.

    @ac January 1, 2016 at 12:55 PM…to borrow from WW&C2…RUBBISH-CUBED!

–Apart from “many black movie stars … retired … without being accused of drugging and raping anyone” please remove the blinkers from your eyes on the following.

    — the accusations were around for many years. It was another Black comedian who can be credited (along with all the ladies of course) with bringing the affairs back into full glare – about three years ago.

    — the White establishment had absolutely no problem with Cosby and in recent years he was more vilified -before this – by Blacks than by any White person.

Your fundamental premiss that Cosby was targetted by White American is absolutely wrong and thus your argument is built on sand over a big cave…whoosh…down you fall. He was beloved by White America because he basically spoke in their language re Black upliftment

You are talking absolute nonsense and also using kernels of valid remarks (…family programming has also been dealt a final blow and replaced by Family GUY and homosexual programming…) to falsely lend credence to your commentary.

Bill Cosby surely was a key producer of solid family fare (Fat Albert, Little Bill) and was in negotiations to bring out another show. But Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry do a lot of that too for TV so too Spike Lee, Lee Daniels and Perry on the big screen. And many more. Get your facts properly researched and come back…please.

We cannot condone disgusting behaviour because of skin colour, school affiliations or even family ties. Of course we will want the lightest sentence for our son or daughter if they are caught in their misdeeds but to wish away their crime because he or she is our child is absolutely wrong.

So to pivot to another point… I do hope Mum of Affluenza Defense Teen is shown the full weight of the law. Not so much for her transgression to run off with the boy but moreso for being so ridiculous to allow lawyers to present that defense.

If I can firmly defend the fact that my child was so ‘blasse’ from a privileged upbringing that he never understood right from wrong then I should be held responsible surely! Long may she reflect on this after sentencing.
