“How long is too long…. if it’s good?” We have been on wait on some matters for too long. For instance, when will there be a Stage II in the seemingly never ending saga of the Alexandra matter?… the wait is too long. When will there be a new appointment of Governor General?…the wait… too long. What about the LIME settlement….we were told only this weekend to standby for news…the wait …too long. What about commentary, even a reaction or even indication of a reading of, the Judicial Report on the CLICO matter? …again…the wait too long. How about General Elections… for some again …..the wait too long.

Call it a waiting game…..wait and wait some more

    How does appointing a GG affect the price of sugar? We have someone in the role doing a good job of drinking all the wine when the aged turn 100.

    If LIME deal is solved then it is solved there if the PM speak to the matter today or next week it makes no difference.

    The issue of AX has been dealt with on BU. The Public Services Commission has to act. The PSC was appointed a couple weeks ago.

    On the subject of calling elections no comment necessary.

    Barbados was once known as the Gem of the Caribbean. When our leaders spoke..other sit up and listen…We were known for our action .(not in action)…our word our bond.Can you tell me how all this managed to change in less than five years..seemingly overnight ?….Please don’t tell me Global Economies….Austin dispelled that notion comprehensively in his last article.

    Old Onions; Since you alluded to it in your chapeau; What is your take on FS apparently indicating that he would talk on the Lime matter on Thursday or so and yet today, moday, not having said anything on it so far? Do you consider it strange, even for someone not given to talking much, to have postponed the occasion for blowing his own trumpet on a matter for which he must be justifiably proud. After all, solving the Lime dispute is a big thing. It far surpasses the AX matter and shows his undeniable Prime Ministerial capacity for solving such industrial issues between parties which, in one way or the other, have either some interface with or reliance on Government.

    Why nothing so far, except for Sir Roy declaring the dispute closed and indicating that the PM should be credited for moving the monetary goal posts to the middle of the field?

    All this reminds of the quote “Choose your enemies wisely, for you will become them.”… But as long as I ( along with many other CLICO pensioners) have been PROMISED by people in authority that it was SAFE not to withdraw our funds….(when it is now known, some of them went thru the back door and did otherwise)…I Onions will continue to be the defender of the trampled….there to always remind THEM..not to forget us ..(at the expense of sounding redundant)…No it is NOT ALL WELL to deceive and then hide….What example are we setting for our YOUTHS ? Yes, those we are quick to condemn and point fingers at as lacking integrity and morals.How can be do these things and expect to leave them this example ?

I don’t have to beat my chest and prance about like a Jackass to garner attention. My work speaks for itself! I like nuff fatigue but I realize that you can give but cannot take. Oh by the way I noticed you mentioned many times about the Gulf of Peria and I wish to correct you that it is the Gulf of Paria. It is the body of water that separates Trinidad and Tobago from Venezuela.

    baked ham,
    chicken baked with 40 cloves of garlic and stuffed with bay leaves, vegetable basmati rice

    Getting back on track…..This strategy of procrastinating is becoming overbearing…and seemingly contagious.Workers now show no need to hurry…when last you visited the banks,post office or fast food establishments ? It is as if they control your time.Efficiency and effectiveness bear a direct relationship to TIME…..should I digress to a recent university study (to which there are many)…given earlier ..two submissions..I better not…. But its a known..to be effective one need to be timely…..it is like setting one’s self up to be trapped on the back foot.

    Let us reminisce of once upon a time,when lived men stronger and greater, who were more determined for good of country….to maximize efforts and respect for others time.

    Can anyone tell me which prices of items have declined. Haynesley Benn said that there was a decline in prices, and I am really lost about which items/prices he means.

    I think he needs to be fired forthwith. Even flying fish cost more. How many people have eaten tilapia or tuna in a can or sardines this Easter instead of Flying fish?

    Why not pick 2 or 3 items and show price fluctuation over time?
